Shining Waters Family Fun Park

Was going to go 2022 but couldn't because most of the things were shut down and apparently is run down a lot over the years apparently mostly everything was shut down that summer at the water park so it wasn't worth the money to just do nothing barely. Very sad because I really wanted to go

I took my daughter, who is visually impaired to this park. She cannot see ANYTHING without glasses on. She waited 20 minutes to go on the water slide and when she got to the top she was told she wasn’t allowed to go down with glasses on because they may fall off. She wears specialty glasses that wrap around her ears so they cannot fall off and have an optional strap to go around her head but the staff and supervisor would not allow her to go down the slide with them. Going without being able to see was not an option for her and in my opinion would be completely unsafe. I was very disappointed after paying for four passes for the day that we had to cut our day short for this reason.

My kids are 8 and under. They all enjoyed it!

We had been not been here for 4 years. Unfortunately nothing changed as in it needs some paint and happier ride staff. Otherwise the kids had a fun day!

Reasonably fun, but EVERYTHING is getting quite run down. Most things are looking quite rough. Some things have been broken since before COVID!

Has something for all ages. Busy but not overwhelmingly so. You can take your own food and drinks into the park.

Water slides are fun along with the pool. The rest of the park could use some major upgrades. The rides are mediocre at best. Pretty expensive for a few slides and pool. Also recommend getting the any day pass. They won’t reimburse if it’s raining and the park is still opened even if they close most of the rides.

This is the most fun my family & I have had in FOREVER! They have fast slides, slow slides, theme park rides, a petting zoo & so so much more.

I absolutely recommend this, easily enough to entertain a family for one day.

Très propre, cependant il y a des choses qui me surprenne. Les vis qui sortent des installations et rouillé en plus. Donc faudrait faire attention surtout quand on est dans la zone proche des enfants et en plus en maillot de bain.

Great spot. Not a ton of waterslides but the ones they have are great. Lots of lines if busy. A few other rides. Great spot for all ages.

Great spot to take the family and priced well only problem was some of the rides were down or I would have gave 5 stars

Fun but not enough space for the pool, not enough tubes for the slide. Had to wait 30 minutes to get a tube. Pool is only about 10’ by 20’ and about 50 person in there lol. More pricy then magnetic hill even though they don’t have much stuff for fun. But in summer, that’s still fun for everyone.

Highly recommend to go to magnetic hill for those fun. Plus zoo is close by.

Had a terrible day today at Shining Waters. First when waiting in line to go down the tube water slide, witnessed the worker at the bottom of the slide being rude to all the visitors coming off the slide. Grabbing the tube from them and being generally unpleasant. Then when it was my turn to take the tube she told me i couldnt take my sunglasses up and when i tried to explain to her that my glasses were prescription and needed them to walk out of the slide she cut me off and said theres cases theres cases and i did not understand what she meant to i kept trying to finish my explanation and she finally explained to me that i could use a case from the top of the slide. When i went up to the slide i got the case from the next worker and she said to me in a rude tone « do not bring them up here again ». I know there are plenty people who cannot see without their glasses and this is why they have the cases but the workers have an awful attitude and do not want to respectfully explain this to you. Then next there was an issue with my little sisters goggles, and it was a safety issue but she has autism so we could not take them front of her right away. The supervisor was very kind and understanding about this but again the employee who initially approached us about this was not respectful. If 3 different staff feel it is okay to treat customers this way it is clearly an issue with the company not reiterating the importance of customer service. Lastly the slides at shining waters are average at best with a fee of 32$ per day, it does not seem worth the money. Plus you have to wait in a long lineup for a tube and then wait in another lineup for the slides, this is not efficient and very unpleasant.i went on the slides once because it was not worth it. I would suggest giving visitors a tube upon arrival in the park and have then return it when leaving.

The staff seem to be the most miserable people on the planet. We had a great time, but it was very difficult to engage with staff.a simple Smile would have made a difference. Kiddy pool was fun, under 36" there is next to no rides, which was disappointing. But i can't get over how the staff was so dull.

Busy, but lots of options for every age and adventure level. Long lines for the water slides but they moved fairly well. Food is insanely expensive so bring your own if you can. Full coolers, wagons, umbrellas etc are all allowed in.

Great place for young kids, water slides and little pools are great for kids who are not super strong swimmers. Main pool is about 42 inches deep which allows for most kids to be able to touch the bottom.
Kiddie pool is adorable and is well set up for kids and adults alike to hang out and have fun!

The water in the pool was terribly dirty, I understand that this is the fault of the visitors, a lot of things floated in the water. But isn't it possible to at least clean the pool a little.

Our first time here and it was great! Some of the rides weren’t operating but it’s okay, we spent most of our time on the water slides and roller coaster. Soooo much fun, our girls didn’t want to leave! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in PEI.

First time there yesterday the kids and adults alike had a blast! The surf board ride was temporarily out of order but other than that staff was great and we had fun!

Smaller park so expect line ups inside park at the slides etc, on even average attendance days.

Water slides were great, and the pool was a nice added bonus since I had been there last.but that was about it. Over half of the other activities were not working/not open, and many of the ones that were open are in serious need of repairs and updating.

It was fun but there wasn't much for food options. Staff was fun though and facilities were clean

Lots of fun! Our kids, aged 5-12 had a blast.from waterslides to Rollercoaster, they all had a blast and something at their age level.

This place is great fun, don't get me wrong, but it could be a lot better. There aren't enough staff, everything is a little worn, signage isn't clear, food options are very limited, the lockers only accept tokens and the machine that gives out tokens only works with SOME coins. The park seems giant but is in fact mostly empty grass. Meanwhile there are some good waterslides and a rollercoaster for kids and some fun buildings to walk through and two different sets of pedal boats and a petting farm.

Realy not worth the price,
It is suitable only for children, there is nothing for adults to do,
Just a waste of time and lines are super long with no system or management.

Not happy after spending $130.

I absolutely love this place, it's great for most ages, it has a pool and 4 slides nor to mention ridea ranging from 1+ cars and planes to an awesome roller coaster from crystal palace
