Silverwood Motel

Seriously in need of upgrades. Run down, antiquated.
The staff was great.
Then again, perhaps everywhere around here could be.

Horrible customer service. Horrible room. We showed up to PEI with 0 plans, found this little spot and the reviews looked good so we decided to give it a try, when we questioned the price of $160 a night compared to the online price of $88 she told us it’s because of Labour Day, if we stayed a different time that’s the regular price… anyway, we had no where’s to go so we stayed. We got to our room and the bed was out dated and the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever attempted to sleep in. We froze all night because our AC/Heating unit would not work (found this out around 1: 00am) while trying to get the heating unit to work we didn’t even have a phone in the room to call the office, and the wifi worked when it wanted to.
As we were about to fall asleep we had realized we weren’t given a check out time so we had to assume it’s like anywhere else we stayed at 11: 00 am. (Who knows if that’s was the time)
Upon leaving at 11: 00 I told the receptionist our issues and she told us we should have called … I’m unsure as to with what phone, and even the number to contact. It is what is, wouldn’t have been a “horrible” experience if it was only $88 but to spend $160, would definitely not recommended.

Rooms are a little dated but spacious, new flooring, lots of linens and toiletries provided. Pleny of hot water and pressure. Parking at your door, butt pail provided for smokers, outside chairs by your door. Huge lawn with bbqs and picnic tables, nice big trees. Pool in the backyard. Lovely staff. Easy check in and even easier check out.

Close to many beaches.
Free carking right in front of the room.

Feels like movies.

Super clean and quiet spot. Very close to lots of resturants and shops and beaches. There are also multiple BBQs available and a pool!

Great little motel. Clean, great fully stocked kitchen with appliances. Everything worked great.

You get what you pay for. This was a last minute booking in peak season. And all that was left.for what we paid, we were happy. It was no Marriott, but it was a clean place to sleep.

The Silverwood motel is a great location that is central to any destination in Prince Edward Island. Katy at the front desk is extremely friendly and helpful and will recommend activities and restaurants for your pleasure. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Chris and Mary room #5

Appreciated the room that accommodated our large family. Kitchenette was very useful, however our room had a router for wifi plugged in the kitchen leaving no plug for appliances such as toaster etc.and we had to move the table and plug in behind the fridge. Staff was helpful and room was clean, I appreciated the hard flooring without any carpet. Outdoor Pool was very nice and well maintained. Each room had its own propane barbecue as well. That said it is still a motel and the beds were clearly inexpensive models and did not make for a great night's sleep.

Older building but really kept up well. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking an impromptu meal. Beds were super comfy. Everything very clean. The lovely lady at the front desk was helpful and kind. Located right across the street from a grocery store and a short drive to the beach. Lots of green space out front with grills. Did not try the pool but looked like kids were enjoying it. Pool is back behind the motel so did not hear any noise from it.

We enjoyed our stay. It was great having the family suite with a kitchen with a young family. The furnishing in the suite was dated but VERY clean. I expected the dated look when I booked and the rooms look like the pictures. The pool was nice outback with the playground. The kitchen had everything we needed. It is conveniently located across from a grocery store.

Stayed 4 nights, Studio suite with comfortable beds, lots of space, kitchenette, new floors, Heat pump (A/C), would be good to have a double sink in the kitchen, and extra electrical outlets. Pet friendly, staff very pleasant and welcoming. Location ideal in center of Cavendish, price reasonable. Would recommend.

I would recommend Silverwood motel. Very willing to accommodate your individual needs and very kind people. Service is beyond my expectations.

Staff were so friendly, the room was immaculate. So happy to have found this cute place on our travels!
