Had a birthday meal with great company and excellent service! Pepper steak as pictured was amazing.

Ridiculous amount of salt on the steaks. Everyone in our group agreed. I could see the coarse salt granules on my steak.

I think their oyster is the best! Fresh and large sizes, which I never eat rare, but I can now. All food we’ve ordered are amazing, the service is perfect, and the environment is chilling. Will be back again!

We visited last evening and the food was great - the service was terrible.

We had the Ardbeg Striploin with added lobster tail and the Seafood Fettuccine. The food was great and was ready very quickly.

Aside from taking our order and bringing food to the table, we were ignored by our waitress. We were seated across from the bar where she walked passed many times but she seemed as if she couldn’t be bothered. We were surprised as the tables around us were receiving great service. We were given a half glass of water for the entire sitting and were extremely thirsty by the end of the meal. We may have ordered more to drink however were never given the chance. She took a very long time to bring us our bill but was more than happy to continue serving tables on either side of us. Our expectations were much higher considering the reviews here as well as the high price point at this restaurant.

Visiting from Alberta and we stumbled upon this gem! It’s obvious this restaurant prides themselves on the experience they offer their patrons. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like our patronage mattered! Our server was a lovely French gentleman who provided exceptional service. The food was amazing & the perfect place to try our first oyster!

Yeah, It’s expensive a bit. But there are no shortcuts when it comes to great steak! Props also to our waitress Amy who made sure everything was alright!

An amazing, luxurious experience right downtown Charlottetown. The staff were amazingly helpful deciding what to eat, beyond nice. Can't wait to come back.

We had a private function here following a bike trip around the province. The food and the wine pairing was fantastic.my steak was delicious. I rarely take photos of my meals, but I had an Australian friend in town and I thought he would appreciate that the steak looked like a baby alligator

Went to a beautiful looking restaurant with very high hopes, came out completely disappointed. The food we ordered was some of our favourites, but when it was served it was hardly edible. While the place was stunning that was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. When the waitress came with our food, she used her hands to move it around on the plate to show us what everything was.

Beautiful restaurant, not so great food.

Hardly even needed the steak knife. The fork pretty much went right through the steak. Delicious! When I thought the meal couldn't get any better my sticky date pudding landed. It was fantastic!

Really enjoyed the visit. Great food combined with great service.
Reservations are a must. A little $$$, but given the good experience provided, worth it.

A favorite dining experience in Chalottetown. The food was excellent and the service was even better. This may have been our favorite dinner out in Chalottetown.

Nicely cooked lobster dinner! The meat was juicy and flavorful, and the baked potatoes that came with it was one of the best I've ever tasted. The saltness was just in perfect amount and the potato melts in your mouth. The oysters were okay, but the fried ones were pretty good.

We expected a lot more from this restaurant. The seafood chowder was pretty good, but the ceaser salad was terrible, the lettuce was wilted and brown, it was also drowning in dressing and seemed to be sitting out for a while before it came to our table. I ordered the crab from the cold bar menu, I asked if it was king crab the waitress said yes, it was definitely snow crab but still good. She should know what is on the menu though or at least ask someone that may know.
I ordered the seafood pasta, the lobster was over cooked to the point I couldn't eat it. The flavor was ok but again we expected a lot better. My husband had the halibut it was ok nothing special. We would not come back here. If you're in the area I would try somewhere else rather then here.

The food was delicious, the steak was cooked and seasoned well. Oysters were fresh, and the salmon we had was cooked perfectly. They were very busy that day as I can see many waiting for tables, (recommend getting reservations). Service was a bit slow as a result. Overall I would recommend a visit for good food

Fabulous meal! I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was awesome! She was from Ontario. We went Friday August 12th, sat on the patio and ordered the stuffed chicken and the Vegan pasta. Loved everything we ordered. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 8 adults and some barely speaking english.the staff made an effort to try to speak french.it was a great ambiance with the staff. The food, whats more to say than it was excellent, you have to try the "seafood Bruschetta"! Thanks for the evening!

Everything you want in a steak house! Amazing quality food, and the service is perfect, they anticipate your needs without being intrusive.

Fantastic! Fresh, local oysters were excellent. Had the tenderloin w lobster tail and scallops sides. Delicious. Steak cooked to order.

Walked in as a single, sat at the bar… ordered a drink and sat for 15-20 minutes ignored by a heavy cast of staff. Incredible! So much for my theory of always having good service at the bar! I eventually left and never got that drink. Very poor service and will never go back!

Not worth the inflated amount of money you'll pay. The lobster dip was way over cooked, when I received it it was very greasy and the cheese had broken down to curdles. The calamari we ordered was also overcooked, very hard, dry and looked like crumbs. My husband ordered a bowl of seafood chowder, the bowl was very small and shallow, it turned out to be a cup of chowder. The service was very slow, it took more than 3hrs just to have a lunch and the server messed up our bills and had to redo them, we were a group of 7. Don't waste your money

Exceptional food and exceptional service. We were blown away.

Bianca, our server, was kind, quick and cheerful and she went above and beyond for us. The whole staff was excellent despite the restaurant being so busy.

We ordered steak, salads, and mussels. The steaks were perfectly, expertly cooked. The rest of the food, also delicious.

An extra special thank you for the kids meal- it was superb. Thank you for offering a kids meal that’s not another nuggets and fries or grilled cheese. It was a 10/10 steak and mashed potatoes. Our 2 year old loved it.

We’ll be back again for sure.

I recently hosted a group of 9 for dinner at Sims. Everything about the evening was very well done - service, food and overall hospitality.
All staff were very professional and attentive.
I would highly recommend and would definitely book again.

My husband and I were on vacation in PEI and decided to go to a fancier restaurant. If you’re questioning going here, I 110% recommended this restaurant. The service was so wonderful and our food was INCREDIBLE. We had surf and turf and my steak was literally melting in my mouth. It was the best steak I’ve ever eaten. When we come back to the island we will definitely be coming here again!

Average steakhouse at best. Good wait staff service, reasonably attentive. Appetizers took about 15min but mains took over 1 hour, perhaps closer to 90min. Was not worth the wait. Filet mignon was good and cooked as ordered but the chateaubriand did not look like chateaubriand or taste like it. Was over priced and looks small relative to 16oz that it was supposed to be. The disappointing steak and long wait times make this one to skip over for me.

My parents went for dinner last night and felt sick. $170 totally wasted! It's embarrassing. You make living from tourism so take care of tourists. Don't recommend to anyone. Last day of holiday TOTALLY SUCKS coz of you! Someone should clean up there.


We're from out of town and this place was the best! Really happy with the gluten free table bread. Wish the service was a little better as our server walked away so fast it was hard to ask questions but overall my bf and I were really happy with the food.

It’s been a few years but that is how much this stuck with me. Worst dining experience ever. Huge bill for not enough to eat or drink and we were stuck there for almost 3 hours. Terrible service. It was almost an hour before they took our order and asked how our drinks were. Table of eight and we had long since finished our first 2 bottles of wine. Took another hour to get our meal. Apps never came. Never asked how the food was. Might have been embarrassed at that point. Never, ever again.

This place is just amazzzzzing! I came To célébrate my friend graduation the waitress welcome us we sat down on a confortable couch. Close to the fire place! The waitress guide us gave us advice she was just amazing and so patiente with us. The foooood it was just a fairy tale in our mouth and finally the desert was just extra! PLEASE READER TRY THE DESERT ON THE PICTURE YOU WONT REGRET IT!

We celebrated our anniversary here for dinner and were thrilled with the meal and the restaurant itself. The seafood bruschetta and seafood chowder were divine, the steaks were amazing and our waiter Richard was so friendly and professional. He gave us great advice for what to see and do in PEI during our visit. We loved everything about our experience there. Can’t recommend it enough!

A great, high end restaurant 5 minutes from the Marina. Many, many gluten free options. The food was fantastic and our server, Alex, was very helpful and friendly. The ambiance was excellent, calm and not too loud. I had short ribs as appetizer and striploin as steak. All was cooked to perfection. They also had gluten free bread before appetizer which is always a treat for me.

The staff and ambiance were nice, unfortunately the food we had was not. The medium-rare steak showed no signs of pink, the salmon was both over-cooked on the outside and raw in the middle and the calamari appetizer was bland and over-fried. We did like the fresh PEI oysters and the kids liked their mac & cheese.

I never knew I liked seafood until dinner at Sims. Whether you’re a seafood hater, steak lover, or anything in between Sims has the perfect meal for you. We have a family of five diverse eaters, each with a different pallet, so I’ve included each below for your reference.

Teen, delicate pallet, and eats nothing but pasta:
The oysters were my appetizer, and as a first time eater, they were delicious. From the Kalamari to the Steakhouse burger, service met taste to craft the best meal I’ve ever had. Recommend the Steakhouse burger and Seafood.

Older kid, average pallet, eats lots of steak and broccoli: The kalamari was my appetizer. It was cooked just right and had the right amount of spice. Sauce was good gives a burst of spice. My first time having oysters. I am not a big fan of oysters but my dad and sister said it was really good. My mom is not a big fan either but she really likes it. The fish was amazing and was a little crispy on the outside with the nice hot inside. I would recommend the Sims for dinner.

Younger Kid, average to delicate pallet, eats a variety: She had an appetizer of fruit from the kids menu, and loved the taste, had two servings! For the main meal she had Mac and cheese. Now, she’s the kind of Mac and cheese eater that like her meal specific way. Homemade, the right way, you know the deal. We weren’t expecting much, but when she rated it a nine out of ten, we were impressed.

Dad, can eat everything, has great spice tolerance:
Oysters were the best he’s ever had, fresh and scrumptious. His main meal was filet minion, and he was in love with the taste and tenderness. Would recommend the filet minion. In his words, “this is how a meal should be. ”

Mom, average spice tolerance:
Likes the oysters and enjoyed the wine. Had mussels as her main and says they were ok, however we’re outshined by the rest of the meal and wouldn’t recommend. Says the ceasrer salad was amazing and the seafood blew her away.

Wait time: 30 minutes
Service: Excellent and great waiter told us what to do on the island as well. 10/10

Great location and great atmosphere. However for a 65$ surf and turf dish- the steak was small- over cooked for my request and the lobster portion was very very small. Arrived cold on top of it all.

The waitress was good however. Because I enjoyed my experience, I did not mention it to the waitress.

But overall, for THE steak house in town, it is overpriced and overrated. Not worth the money.

Wow! Staff always smiles, accommodating, beautiful atmosphere, decor is classic and fitting for the location and environment. Oysters were the highlight of the evening. Would like to go back and try the steaks instead of the seafood. Wine list is sensational and highlights the venue. Recommended for wine lovers. Parking is limited. Non-issue if you're staying in the downtown. Walking distance and recommended as it's a beautiful place to walk. If needed can park on main street or side streets if available.

Great food selection but experience is not there. Found multiple bugs in the water which really should be investigated.

Calamari was excellent! The steaks were delicious, but not cooked correctly. Two people at my table ordered medium rare and received a rare steak.

We visited Sims Corner on Thursday August 12th with a party of 8. Overall we had a great dining experience starting off with 2 fabulous drink creations, then everyone's appetizers were great as well as the mains. What made our experience even better was our server Eric, his top knotch service and his personality totally made the evening, well done!

If I could make one suggestion it would be to raise the beautiful light fixtures over the tables as it is challenging to avoid hitting your head as customer and I noticed the wait staff as well in the restaurant

Highly recommend for everything from a beer and oysters to a full steak dinner with all the fixings. We were there and just had some oysters and a drink but the meals that passed us while we sat on the couch in between the action of the bar and the restaurant was incredible. The smells that we enjoyed and the comments we overheard by those guests that enjoyed things secured the fact we are going back!

Our waiter Alexander was absolutely phenomenal! Super attentive & friendly. Our food took a bit longer coming out (we hardly noticed) & he brought us a glass of wine paired with our dinners! Cannot wait to be back to PEI!

Our young family enjoyed the SIMS patio last night. We left very satisfied with my kids disappointed that they were too full to eat their desserts. The Oysters were so good that we had to have a second round. As an foodie I would recommend their ribeye and lobster rigatoni dishes without question. Friendly staff and a delightful experience.

Seafood Bruschetta is impressive and would be suitable for Dark draft, lager beer, white wine. Fresh chopped scallops with olive oil with buttery sweet sauce is balanced.

Steak was also cooked perfectly even though it’s a bit salty.

The staffs were kind as well. The price was rather expensive than I expected with that quality but if you love to enjoy nights with a good mood in PEI, it’s good.

Very pricey but the steak was top notch incredible, melt in your mouth. The potatoes and gravy were awesome and the lobster cooked to perfection. Portion size was just right. I got the surf and Turf $65.00

I had a fantastic dining experience here. The patio ambiance is in a beautiful corner of the city and the food was excellent. The oysters were choice and shucked well. The pepper steak I had was the best steak dinner I’ve had in a while. My partner really enjoyed her seafood linguini

Overall the experience was not one I'd repeat. Staff were friendly and helpful enough, however the food didn't live up to expectations.

The general theme was everything we had simply had top much going on.
A sauce or more with each dish.

Calamari was the best cooked part of the meal.

Steaks came on a bed of very salty steak sauce, and no bark or char to be found. To their credit the doneness was right on point with our ordered preference inside.

Lobster was no where near as flavourful or sweet as the one we tried at a nearby restaurant the night before.

Excellent selection of delicious oysters, tasty lobster tortellini. Scallops app was delicious but scant with only two scallops. Service was attentive and friendly. The desert menu did disappoint. Give that a miss and take a walk for better options.

The Redhead Oysters were amazing, the Seafood Bruschetta was excellent, the Skirt steak with the house Caesar was second to none, as was the Halibut. Last but certainly not least …. Our server Eric was attentive and made our experience at Sims most enjoyable!

I've been fortunate enough to enjoy restaurant dinners all over North America. Our dinner at Sims Corner may have been my best experience ever. Our server, Eric, was very good! The food was perfect. The atmosphere was very comfortable. All in all, the total experience was fantastic.

A disappointing meal considering the high reviews. Out of the 5 dishes we ordered, the calamari arrived cold, the salmon was over cooked and the scallops were overpriced ($18 for 2 pieces).

On the plus side, The oysters were delicious and there was great service by the staff despite the kitchen wait times.

We wanted to love this place but unfortunately would not recommend this restaurant.

Our experience was unforgettable.we had the chance to be taken care of by Megan the manager of the restaurant.
Her professionalism, her customer service and her courtesy definitely changed our evening.
The food was also there.
Succulent filet mignon, delicious salmon with a drop of beets.
We were seated on the terrace in view of the beautiful evening but the rich interior decor is totally an asset for this restaurant.

Friendly staff. Great food. The steak I had was grilled the way I ordered. Fries with the aioli drizzle was tasty. My girlfriend had the seafood fettuccine. Nice sear on the scallops, lobster was tender and mussels was very flavorful. Oh, the warm biscuits with molasses butter to start was a nice touch.

Tenderloin Valentine's Day special was delicious. Best wine list on PEI for sure. Service amazing as usual. A great evening out for Valentines Day.

I love the atmosphere at Sims and our service was outstanding. There were six different oyster options and the three that we tasted were great. The caesar salad was also very good. The wine list is better than most. Sadly, our mains were awful. The ribeyes were overcooked (we asked for medium rare) and covered with a thick coating of salty steak spice. The amount of salt made them all but inedible. The double baked potatoes were dry and lukewarm and yet burned on top. Even the plating was unappetizing - the parsnips and broccoli were under the steak. Very disappointed this time.

Went there first time last week, waited to get food over 3 hrs.steak was way undercooked and potatoes were very runny and veggies were mushy.told the waiter he didn't seem to acknowledge! Anyway very disappointing experience there for me anyway! Needless to say dont think my husband will go back especially paying very high prices we deserved better.
