The Lucky Bean Cafe

A very comfortable and welcoming café, with very friendly staff and delicious drinks! There's beautiful local art on the walls, as well as many games to play.

Took our Holland College Transitions students to Lucky Bean for our food review assignment! Coffee & tea & hot chocolate always hot - always delicious. Gluten free cookies reasonably priced, and one student tried a waffle (add banana and chocolate) - 4/5 on that waffle - very tasty and presentation was excellent. We are so happy to have this local gem in Montague!

Very delicious sweet cakes and healthy balls.
Great coffee and espresso in all kind of varieties.
Compared to other possibilities to drink coffee, its amazing here.
Coffee art could be improved.
Keep in mind they close at 4 pm. So if you sit outside, you will not be able to reenter to the washing room, if you came in late afternoon, all will be closed exactly at that time.

My wife picked me up a refresher the other day. Was amazing. Very fresh, not too sweet. A very bright flavor and the frozen berries were a nice touch. So good, I got another one the next day!

Delicious, smooth flat white that was a fantastic pick-me-up. The barista did a great job. They have quite a few tables there too for you to enjoy your food. Highly recommend location.

Adorable cafe. The vibe was calm and friendly, even though he was very busy. We had the waffle and breakfast sammy, which were good.

What a nice little place. We stopped here for lunch and the food was so fresh and delicious. The veggie sandwich and ham and Swiss were both very flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. The homemade soup was a Moroccan chickpea and holy smokes was it ever good. The young man who took our order was friendly and very thorough with placing our order. It was such a lovely lunch.

What a gem this place is! The best cinnamon bun I've ever had (and mine was the gluten free one! Can't imagine how delicious the regular ones are). Great prices on great food, tasty coffee and lots of cool local products for sale. Kid friendly, has high chairs and toys, books and games to borrow, also board games for adults! Friendly staff and good music playing, what more could you want in a cafe? Live music on weekends too it says on their sign.

Excellent food. Great staff. Beer is cold. Nice sitting outside watching the Blues jam on a Saturday afternoom with Graeme Hunter and freinds.

Lovely little restaurant that is very welcoming. Great vegan options. Kid friendly and great atmosphere. A gem where you would never expect it. If your vegan and traveling in PEI you really should try to visit.

Matt is very personable and all his employees try to get to know their customers, too. A great asset to the local area!

Sat outside, good shade. I ordered a caramel macchiato and a bagel with cream cheese, bacon, and tomato. It was really good! They also have a collection of board games and I played Guess Who with my sibling. Good time, love the pride flag!

So seldom you find a place where you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. Serving the best coffee in eastern PEI and wonderful baked goods and food, this is a place to pop into or stay a while and play a board game, which we did. Simply lovely!

This place has it all! Delicious coffee that is super fresh, the best on the Island and roasted just 10 minutes down the road from the Montague location. They source as much as they possibly can from local producers. The atmosphere is super relaxing and comfortable. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food is fresh, delicious and creative. And don't even get me going about the desserts! It is my opinion that every village needs a Lucky Bean.

Shared the breakfast platter. It had everything: bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit and decent coffee. Order the homemade chocolate and peanut butter squares to take home.

Love this spot for breakfast or lunch, or just a drink and a baked good. The vibes are peaceful and simple decor. Love the music choices as well. We make a point of stopping by whenever we're down east!

Awesome soup and a great cappuccino! Offers oat milk on request. Fantastic service. So much better than Tim Hortons.

If you must work while on vacation this is the place to do it. I spent about 4 hours there today and loved every minute. Highly recommend the curried chicken sandwich. It was perfectly balanced with the apple slices and the multigrain bread is delicious.

A lovely café. We sat outside in the shade and enjoyed great food. We shared salads and sandwiches. Cappuccino was wonderful with a little nutmeg to to it off.

Best breakfast with great coffee!
From the moment you step through the door, the most pleasant coffee aroma confirms that the coffee here will be excellent. The breakfast board is a great treat - waffles, fruit, yogurt, granola, bacon and scrambled eggs.

Interesting spot! The interior is wonderfully done. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos. Seat spacing is well done. And prices were good.

We ordered an iced coffee and iced decaffeinated Americano. Both were pretty large but the nice thing is the offer to ice the decaffeinated drinks.

The coffee has a good taste, pretty strong when drank black. Not burnt, very bold.

Overall recommend!

Amazing. The breakfast and charcuterie boards are fantastic, and the coffee is excellent. Patio is dog friendly. Two thumbs up.

Met for our first visit here with family today for a drink and bite to eat. Everyone enjoyed their experience. It got super busy and we had to wait a bit longer for our breakfast board but it was fresh and delicious. Staff was super friendly. The owner even chatted with us and compensated us for our wait. Will definitely return.

Their vegan gluten free brownie is delicious! Good variety of sandwiches and other snacks. We sat around for quite a few hours playing games while waiting for the ferry.
