Traveller's Inn Summerside

We booked this hotel for a hockey team stay. The hotel was absolutely disgusting. The sheets were stained, mattresses were ripped along the edges and dirty. The box springs were severely stained and moldy. The general cleanliness was very poor, there were cobwebs stringing from the light fixtures, with dust and grime covering every surface. Due to the poorly maintained oven in the room, there was a burn mark on the wall and grease splatter all over the walls. The bathroom, at first glance, looked clean but upon further inspection, the toilet was bubbling up as it used to be yellow but it has since been painted and the paint was bubbling and peeling.
Upon telling the front desk employee of our dissatisfaction, they came across as not being surprised. We asked for clean sheets and were told they do not have extra sheets and offered us another room. This room was even more uninhabitable. If we could have found alternate accommodations, and it was not -40 outside, we would have left immediately. We wrapped ourselves in our own blankets and slept (or barely slept) and checked out before 8AM. The hotel did not seem to care and were unfazed by our complaints.
On top of this, the hotel charged my credit card for 6times the our amount of stay and my bank locked my card due to suspicious activity.
We also had someone trying to enter our room at 3AM. I’m assuming that this was someone who had too much to drink at the hotel lounge and had mixed up their rooms. Either way, the hotel outside doors stayed unlocked all night and anyone could come and go.

Do not stay at this hotel, we felt very unsafe and I’m shocked this hotel is even permitted to be open with their total disregard for minimum standards.

This was a terrible stay, couldn’t take a step without being told “your to loud” and mam the purple hair is not it, the staff is not good we get in trouble to easy don’t recommend to stay here

The staff was terrible, the whole place was disgusting and did I mention the staff was terrible.

Stayed there on aug 20th 2022.didn’t know they have a pool. Great service.rooms were clean and location was beautiful.nice view of windmills and sunset

Horrible. No breakfast as advertised, don't ask for anything extra what's in the room is in the room. The blankets smelled like cigarettes and a****le. Door was stuck at the top so had to hit the door with my shoulder every time to open it. The rest of the door though had huge gaps. The cold water focet was jammed closed. The toilet barely worked. The a/c unit had a cut power cord that had been awfully repaired. Rude staff except for the early morning guy. The pool is a joke and horrible. There's cockroach like things all around. Very dark and the roof leaks into the pool when it rains and is caving in. People smoke right outside the door. And then throw their cigarette buts all over. So if you value your time then don't go here! Too bad could be a nice place.

We stayed here 2 nights, excellent location. Cathy at the front desk could not have been more helpful. Everything we needed or questions we asked her were taken care of. Her customer service is excellent!

Employees are thieves. Especially the maintenance staff. Don't let them in your room unsupervised.

I saw bugs in the bathroom, beds were uncomfortable, pool had trash in it, breakfast wasn’t really good but it was still fun

It's not the Ritz Carlton, but it is good accommodation with a pool and breakfast included. Get a room with kitchenette if you want a apartment size fridge and stove.

Disappointed that there were no coin slot machines for like
. 25 cents ea. Pool was pretty good. Hot tub was not hot enough.
Also was very surprised that the doors in the hall were locked after 11pm. Didn't like that much

I needed a place to stay on short notice due to a storm while moving that allowed cats and this hotel is one of the few that would allow me to being them into my room.

The rooms themselves are dated, but all the fixtures, furniture, and appliances in the room were clean and functional. I checked the bed over and it was spotless, with no sign of any issues during my stay, or in the past.

The heat worked well, and it's nice having heating controls that seem to actually respect your choice.

There's a huge parking lot which was helpful for me as I was driving a big uhaul with a car trailer on back of it.

The view out of the front windows is nothing to write home about, but the view from the back windows is okay.

The staff are friendly, and the cleaning lady loved the cats.

Unlike a lot of hotels they'll accept cash or debit provided you pay a deposit, and I had no trouble being refunded the next morning upon checking out.

I think a lot of people are being overly harsh in their ratings. This is a perfectly fine place to stay the night in my opinion, and it's easy to find which is a bonus. Plus the prices are good for the size of rooms you get, I only paid 79$ for a two bed room during the off season.

For reference the room I stayed in was room #2, right by the pool.

I had a great stay here the room was clean and we had the kitchenette room which supplied everything we needed to cook. The building was very quiet. They serve a free breakfast which was ok (some eggs were wet and some to hard not a consistent cook) also should supply a waffle maker like most places we have stayed in with toppings (whipped topping, strawberries, etc) A few changes would make this place a 5 star.

Just outside Summerside on the side of the highway. Dated but clean. Slots for those who like that kind of thing. Would use again

Nice place but not clean much need more clean up also 2 girls work there never smile when i said good morning or hi she nothing said its important for tourism smile and hi too
