Wood Islands Lighthouse

Beautifully preserved lighthouse, amazing displays. Loved the history info, sea glass display, and decor including folk art painted buoys. Staff were friendly and courteous. Also perfectly located down a lovely beach road right at the ferry terminal, in a park with a playground for the kids.

Beautiful lighthouse with rich history about the early settlers of PEI, right next to the Nova Scotia ferry which is a pretty cool sight to see while visiting the lighthouse! Gorgeous views and a wonderful site for a tour and history lesson! Also had a small playground for kids and a large area to park/picnic

Beautiful lawn space with the lighthouse as the main attraction. I don't know if you can visit. When I went there it was closed.

Lighthouse is well maintained and we enjoyed touring it. Lots of history behind these lighthouses and worth the price. Bought a few souvenirs and they were held onto at the cash (to free our hands) while we toured. Some of those steps can get steep so make sure you are wearing sensible shoes.

This was a nice lighthouse stop with a good view before hopping on the ferry. Beware of mosquitos here though… my whole group got stung even though we didn’t get bitten on our entire road trip at cape breton.

We stopped at this lighthouse today and we loved it. We paid the small fee to go to the top. It also came with a information session and tour if we wanted it. I am so happy we did. I forgot to get the young ladies name but she made the whole experience worth while. Thankyou so much for teaching us and for being such a great tour guide

It's a well maintained lighthouse, one you enter into the building, there is a little interesting museum you can visit, staff very friendly

Tour was actually pretty good, good views from the light house. Little park nearby and playset.

Beautiful park for the kiddos! And there’s a bathroom, makes for the best spot for a family picnic
