1855 Steakhouse

Steakhouse avec un seul choix de steak, en rupture de quatre coupes! Seulement deux sauces sur quatre, café reçu froid sans le sucre, commandé une sauce au champignons et reçu une sauce aux poivres, le refill de l'eau dans le verre de San Pelligreno deux fois, ouf c'était pas un bon soir! Pas fort pour le prix.

I was in town on business, and I sought this place out on a recommendation from a coworker.
And boy was I impressed.
And for context, I’m English speaking, and from Alberta.

The staff are so sweet, at first I thought I was being patronized. But then I realized that they are just that accommodating!

I ordered a beer from Portugal that I was expecting to suck, an old fashioned, the 18 oz porterhouse done mid rare, and lobster tail as pictured below, and added a cheesy twice-baked potato side.

Did someone set off an explosive charge between me ears? Cause me mind, was f’n BLOWN!

The steak was IMPRESSIVE to say the least, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The lobster tail was so succulent I rolled several bites around in my mouth like a fine wine to absorb the flavor. And the twice baked potato side was a wonderful balance of flavors and richness.and that Portuguese beer was so tasty I had to have another!

Finish it off with their rich and delicious cheese cake, and that’s me done for the night!

I cannot stress enough how worth the trip this place is. If not for being an out of province resident, I’d be back here. Repeatedly!

Came in at the end of my day and was greeted by welcome. Although the restaurant was about to close the kitchen in 20 mins, they told me not to worry and took my time to look at the menu.
The salmon tartar was a bit on the lighter side. The bread was amazing. Soft inside and crunchy on the outside, freshly baked from the oven.
I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was cook to what my liking exactly! The dried aged beef was so tender and juicy. This could be one of the best filet I have so far.
The service was attentive and polite.thank you so much for your service.

I was in the area on a business trip and a coworker from the area recommended the 1855. I have to say that their steaks are excellent cuts and were perfectly prepared within our view. The Tomahawk was an absolute experience. Wine selections were exquisite. I enjoyed every perfectly prepared bite of ribeye. The staff were very friendly and attentive. A visit to this steakhouse is a must.

It was great from start to finish. The drinks were delicious, the starters and main course were great and so was the dessert. Outstanding service. It was a great evening. Thanks from the Swiss ;)

Steaks of the finest quality and prepared to perfection. Delicious bread with it. There is still room for improvement with the sauces. Still gives 5*. Absolutely recommended.

Nice selection of beef, the owner is very charming.good food, well cook (it's rare if you ask rare while many restaurent tend to overcook) nice selection of wine. The plate are "classic" its meant for steak lover.vegetable, fries, steak. The steak is spiced and natural so you can taste the meat flavor.very good you won't regret it

Very cute cozy place, love the atmosphere and decor. We were 3 adults and 2 kids. The food was incredible, fried calamari was cooked to perfection and the lobster risotto was so creamy and tasty I enjoyed all of it! My bf had the sea food plate and he was impressed how the chef cooked everything and didn’t overcook anything.

Question viande et cuisson rien à dire.
Par contre, le prix EXAGÉRÉ de l’alcool…. Sérieusement c’est rire des gens!
24 $ + tx + sans oublier le pourboire pour un rhum double de capitaine Morgan et 48 $ + tx + sans oublier le pourboire non plus pour 4 shooter de Hot Shot. Oufff dommage car c’est pas moi qui référera ce resto!

Choisi l’endroit pour essayer quelque chose de nouveau et vraiment adoré! Accueil, ambiance et le service. L’endroit est juste assez grand mais surtout « cozy ». Le repas est servi chaud et à voir les plats qui ont circulé, je sais que je vais y retourner!

We are visiting from Ontario and never enjoyed a steak like these anywhere. The staff exceded our expectations and made us feel so welcome. If you are looking for an amazing place to eat then this is the place. Merci!

Déception sur toute la ligne. J'avais une soirée seule avec mon fils, le 28 janvier 2023. Je voulais lui faire découvrir un vrai Steakhouse. À notre grande surprise, nos assiettes sont arrivées 5 minutes après avoir passé la commande? !? ! Louche, un steak prend plus de temps à cuire que 5 minutes. J'ai commandé un contre-filet (coupe N-Y) 14oz, mon fils a pris un filet mignon 6oz, cuisson médium-saignant pour nous 2. La viande était sèche, aucunement juteuse. Remplis de gras et le filet mignon de mon fils aussi, très sec et difficile à mastiquer (pourtant un filet mignon c'est tendre normalement). Personne n'est venu nous demander si c'était à notre goût, j'aurais alors exprimé mon mécontentement. J'ai tout compris en allant aux toilettes. La grille de cuisson était remplie de steaks précuits qui attendaient sur le pourtour (chaleur indirecte). Lorsqu'ils reçoivent une commande, ils font réchauffer le steak. On perd tout le jus de cuisson, la viande se raffermit. J'ose espérer qu'il ne s'agit que d'une TRÈS mauvaise fois pour moi et qu'habituellement les cuisiniers savent cuire un steak, mais cette fois, c'était horrible.

Endroit sympathique et chaleureux, nourriture de qualité. Nous apprécions l'ambiance et y allons régulièrement. Service amical. Menu steak house, les prix sont intéressants. Merci Hamid!

Il faut dire que c'était dans le temps des fêtes, mais ils ont mal pris la réservation, la dame qui servait n'était pas au top d'un professionnalisme pour un endroit du genre (pas assez courtoise, pas assez a l'écoute, pas assez avenante et pas bien attentive aux details. Un cours de service aux tables serait nécessaire. Malgré tout, le repas était bon.

Belle endroit, bon service, super beau produit dans notre assiette ….
Belle soirée et nous avons bien mangé!
Suggestion… Un peu plus de chauffage mais pour tout le reste bravo!
