This hotel is in the heart of downtown montreal within walking distance of everything. The staff was amazing, the views and amenities were very good.

Stopped by for the express lunch menu at the AC lounge & it was SO worth it! For 21$ I got a delicious cream of mushroom soup, a plate of baos filled with an explosion of flavours (duck confit, mango, tarragon mayo), beetroot and goat cheese salad, and a nice coffee to get me through the rest of the work day. Excellent service from Christophe by the way. 100% would recommend for lunch break if you work nearby

Superbe expérience dans cet hôtel de la chaîne Marriott idéalement situé dans le centre ville en face du complexe commercial Desjardins (pour les accros du shopping).
L’hôtel est moderne, très bien équipé, le personnel est aimable et la décoration soignée.
Un parking se situe sous l’hôtel.

Very convenient, clean but hotel will charge for parking (35/day) even for a black no milk cup of coffee 4$. 25$ for the breakfast.

En revanche, la chambre pas nettoyée deux jours de suite alors que nous l’avions demandé après le premier jour (et que le personnel désolé, nous avait promis que la chambre serait faite le lendemain). Peu d’efforts/compréhension du personnel pour améliorer la situation…

Main Point: Beautiful hotel but they do not care about you at all, you are just a number to them. Zero customer service.

I am a platinum elite marriott member, I stay often at their brands. I do not ask for a lot, but when you can't even do some basic minor requests, then you get a review like this.

Very long check time waiting to check in even though not many people actually in line. Staff was moving very slowly. The only thing I asked for was two wine glasses to be brought to my room. I asked once during check in and once again before I left the desk to remind her. She said they would bring it right up. An hour goes by, I call down to the desk and ask again. They said it would be right up. They never came at all. Eventually i went down to the bar myself and grabbed them.

The next morning, I asked for my check out time to be extended 2 hours. Most Marriotts tell me they will check how busy they are etc, and in the past month I have been charged 100.00 at one QC Marriott and totally free at Mont Tremblant Marriott. This location immediately told me no, I would have to pay for a full extra night. It was a Sunday, the hotel was very empty, the parking structure was mostly empty, There was no need for this answer. They just don't care to help you. So I don't care to stay here ever again.

I took the elevator from the lobby to the parking structure, the parking lot worker (who was in the lobby) creepily walked out of his way to watch me as the elevators doors closed. Then as I left the structure, he was inside there again watching me as I drove past him. I don't know what he is so worried about, but it's super creepy to do to guests.

Two cardkeys would not work after a walk outside the hotel.
Nespresso machine would not work. Asked for a replacement. Got instead an employee who spent 15 minutes in our room taking machine apart and reassembling.
No shower gel in the shower gel dispenser.
I bathrobe in room for 2 people.
Biggest complaint: There is no bathroom-just a glass wall divider with space at the top. Thus there is no privacy when using the toilet, nor anything to keep toilet-use noise and odors from permeating entire room.
Arriving home we found an erroneous $40 charge to our credit card. Had to call (wasting more time) to correct.
Followup: a hotel employee on 1/15/23 informed me that: " You had the chance to discover our AC signature King Rooms which are an open concept room. The bathroom has been opened to offer space and light through the room. As the signature King Rooms are what distinct [sic] us from our competitor, they represent 80% of the inventory of King rooms in our property. Therefore, please feel free to mention your preference for a closed bathroom to our front desk agents on your future stay at this property. We do have some King rooms upgrades which offer a more traditional closed bathroom however, it is subject to availability upon arrival. "

Attention à vos cartes de crédit, l'hotel vous charge des frais de restauration que d'autres ont commandé.
Lors de mon dernier séjour, ils m'ont chargé 50$ pour un déjeuner qu'un autre client avait commandé. Le pire que l'hotel m'avait chargé la facture en disant que la facture porte la même signature que la mienne, ce qu'est faut. De plus, la commande a été passée après mon check-out.

We just checked out and all i have to say is, the customer service is so POOR.
I booked this hotel through expedia, and i regret booking at this place. They are a bit sneaky with their method of payments. They don’t mention that you can ONLY pay by credit and not debit, and if you was the pay cash, the security deposit somehow doesn’t double but almost TRIPLES. Our 100$ deposit would have been 500$ deposit if i paid cash. So i drove back home to get my card. Not only that, they don’t even mention to you AT the checkin that you pay for the PARKING, which is supposed to be free of charge since you are booking with them of 40$! Overall, i wouldn’t recommend this place. Completely upset at this experience. BE MORE CLEAR ON THE INTERNET MAYBE? Having a hotel in downtown and having these kind of issues are very dissapointing.

Amazing hotel with it all from. Rooftop pool, hot tub, gym, restaurant, lounge, bar, great rooms.
Few minor let downs - in room dining menu was ok (where's my comfort food), gym lacked weight equipment, slow elevators).

Overall the stay was not that bad but what made it worse and left me with a bitter taste in my mouth was the service. In any management or company, supervisors exist for a reason. One for they have the most experience in a said industry two they are excellent listeners and communicators and three they exist to ensure the image and reputation of a said company maintains certain standards and provide best service when their staff fall short.
This was my first trip outside of Waterloo Ontario and was a rash one which was my fault just made the decision to go down get a change of atmosphere before winter hits. I called in mentioned to the sales person it was my first time hoping for the best experience. He booked me for two nights and i agreed to the said amount. The night before i left they sent me an invoice for a greater amount turns out they charged me for parking. I was disappointed because i don’t like being cheated into paying something i was not expecting or informed about. So over the phone and at the front desk no one mentioned a parking surcharge. Anyways i added a third night because my wife enjoyed the city, where i was willing to pay for parking because i now was aware expecting them to remove the first to nights. Checking out, employee refused to compensate for the short comings of her coworkers so i asked for the manager Max which as well insisted that he couldn’t waive the fee which i found outrageous. I paid 1000 for three nights and he wasn’t going drop the 60 for parking and leave me disappointed. So i then asked for the supervisor. I explained to him how his staff failed to inform me and i was new to the hotel business and i didnt want to pay for something i had no knowledge off. He cut me off and talked right over me telling me how it is written on the website and its common sense which i found insulting! Despite i live in an area we never pay parking instead of compromising and letting it go he made it worse! It was outrageous. He didn’t listen at all carefully or tried to understand. I expressed my frustration and he then offer me one night off. I told him clearly either you waive both nights or i will pay and leave disappointed. He’s like up to you. So i paid 1075 and left in disbelief. He exist to ensure customers recommend or talk about the hotel in a good way not in a bad way. These experiences stay with us and we share it to friends and family. And instead having something good to say now i have nothing but cons to talk about. Place is good but the staff no sense of customer service and satisfaction that means all the way to the top. Francois was the supervisor fell short on every front. This gentleman should never be in a position to deal with issues customers face. He didn’t even show he understood what i was saying no empathy just talked over me constantly and pushed his points disregarding everything his said didn’t apply to my situation. If you ever have an issue don’t bother bringing it up if he is working that day. I hope you all experience someone more fit to serve you better!

Absolutely love this hotel. Wood flooring in guest room, modern facilities, excellent fitness and pool, lovely lavender saches at night available. Alcohol wipes provided in the room

Super belle chambre, comme on s'attend d'un Marriott. Le personnel de la réception étaient super gentil, la déco est vraiment belle. La piscine vaut le détour. La vue est magistrale. On a adoré!

Americans and all please avoid this hotel.

I’m a Marriott platinum elite from traveling and staying at so many for my job. This is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. They don’t clean rooms, but they’ll enter and turn the temperature down to save on the bill. Outrageous to come home to a dirty room that’s cold as ice. The reason I stay at hotels is for the basic services but I’ll just go with Airbnb’s froM now on.

Also the food is terrible snd the drinks at the bar are clearly watered down.

Very nice stay! Just a few things though. The front desk person maybe should have told us a little bit about the room and where things are, such as the pool towels or that there was NO cleaning service throughout the stay. A menu for the lounge restaurant would have been nice too. It was a great stay though. Most staff were very nice.

Possibly the best hotel I have stayed at, including some of the 5 star hotels I have stayed at. Staff is super helpful, and accommodating. Would stay here when I go back. Rooms are spacious and are very clean.

The stay was great. The room was clean and travel friendly. The sad part was the restaurant and bar was closed because of restrictions. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the rooftop pool and vicinity to both Vieux Montreal and Downtown.

Excellent location, comfortable and slick design. Exceptionally clean and great to have hardwood floors. Plenty of power sockets. It would have been good to have some real cups in the room, and shame that the in-house restaurant closed. Finally, but not least, lovely and helpful staff!

Nice hotel overall but warning for guests. If you are utilizing the parking garage BUYER BEWARE! They have a flaw in the engineering of the parking garages exit ramp. We have a regular family sedan (Hyundai Sonata) and upon exiting the garage on two separate occasions the floor ramp isn't steep enough so it scrapes the base of the underneath of the vehicle. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE PARKING ELSEWHERE and not risk damaging your vehicle. When approaching the hotel staff, the front desk clerk mentioned it certainly wasn't the first time and another guest had also mentioned it happened to his vehicle. I was deferred to the manager and they stated that I would need to make a claim with my insurance company. No apology, no acknowledgment, no parking refund and overall bad customer service from the manager. As we frequent Montreal often we will certainly not be staying here again as a result and the area has many similar options that are just as good without this type of headache. Disappointing Marriott. Do better.

We stayed for 1 night, it’s in a great location, room size was great we had a king bed and the room was very clean. The fridge in the room was very helpful as we were on a road trip.

Staff was friendly but misinformed us for having complimentary breakfast the next morning. However there was not, morning staff told us they don’t have such a thing so I was very confused with that.

I liked the fact that even if you checked out (12pm), you can still leave your car in the parking garage till around 5pm. It gave us the option to walk to La Grand Roue or if you drive, you will need to pay for parking again ($25)

The front desk was courteous and helpful (I asked for a few restaurant recommendations and they were quick to recommend). They quickly checked me in and gave me my room. The suites are well designed (efficient) yet classy. Very clean suites and the Nespresso pods with machine is a good touch. Parking is plentiful and secure (it's under the hotel and requires fob access for the car to get in - check in with the hotel first). Hotel also adds a layer of safety as it requires fob to get into the main entrance after hours (I think after 10 or 11PM). I would definitely come back and stay here.

Great location on the cusp of Old Montreal, with Starbucks up the street and Tim's down the street. The mall is about a 10min walk and Old Montreal is about 7 mins which is a nice walk with lots to see along the way. Hotel staff are super nice and kind. The hotel is a true Marriott, clean, good service, friendly and good sized rooms. The only thing is that the washrooms have no locks and have frosted doors, not good for my picky teens. The pool and gym are decent but we didn't use them as we had so much to see and do. The restaurant was closed due to Covid restrictions but no big deal as there are tones of food options close by. Great hotel, great location, fantastic staff.thanks for making our stay a good one.

Great hotel - opened in the last few years and quite new. Nespresso machines in the room. Nice large pool able to do decent lengths. Gym is kind of small but free weights went up to 70 which is nice. Very great service. Bar and kitchen are closed right now but expect to open soon. Small variety store on ground level. Great location too.

Beautiful new hotel and a great location. Within walking distance to Ste Catherine's, old Montreal and the entertainment district. The staff was also very nice and accomodating. The only criticism I would have is that the bathroom is open concept and the toilet room door is open (at the top) to the rest of the room.

Very clean and nice decor. Be mindful that the bathroom is not in a seperate room. More like a closed closet. However the room feels spacious and the front desk staff were courteous and following covid protocols. Parking is paid only and the garage is a bit tight so if you want to park your car and forget it and instead take bixis this is for you. Nespresso machine in the rooms. Would stay again.

WARNING: SELECT A DIFFERENT HOTEL!
Unless you enjoy showering and "sitting on the throne" while the entire room watches through the glass bathroom door! The doors are frosted glass, but you can clearly see the silhouette; and the sliding door is on hanging hinges that do not sit flush with the wall, providing a 2-3" gap with a clear site of the shower from the beds.

Also beware of hidden costs, parking is $29+tax/night, indicated only in smaller print farther down the web page and on the reservation confirmation. I'm sure frequent travellers are aware of parking fees, but for those non-frequent travellers I would think the fees would be indicated directly beside the nightly room fees! #BoycottACMarriot.

Upon completing the satisfaction survey, a woman from customer service responded to my criticism with sarcasm via email.

Great location. Can easily walk to restaurants and public entrance. I like that there's onsite parking. It's also a new hotel so the rooms are in great shape. I found them spacious. The pool and hot tub are really fun too. The price is good as well.

Great location, close to old port and to Ste-Catherine street shopping. Very nice indoor, top floor pool and jacuzzi. Rooms are spacious ans have wood floors. So much nicer than carpet! Ask for a view of the inner court garden. Staff is professional and very polite and helpful.

Affordable prices compared to any 4 stars hotel, it's clean and the receptionist were very nice and I suggest the management must put some disposable slippers and some extra soap, shampoo, specifically when the room guests were family or more than 2 people. Hotel staffs, has prompt service when you called/ buzz them, excellent costumer service. It would be nice if the cuisine dining were open

Great hotel, very clean. The pool area is very clean and large with a beautiful view. The water is the perfect temp. Although the whirlpool was closed due to Covid, I can see it is a good size. Kids had a blast and I even went in the water, it was warm enough for me. Rooms are clean, no carpet which makes it feel cleaner, but the floors can get cold therefore I would ask for slippers, Nespresso coffee is provided.

Unfortunately not as I expected when I ordered a 4 stars hotel.
Despite in Montreal everything is opened and Quebec is in Green zone, my experience was as follow.
I booked 3 nights for 2 adults+ 2 kids, during all this period the room never been cleaned we used same sheets and towels, the shower head was broken so we actually had to hold it all the time we were taking shower.
When I asked about all this at the reception the answer I got was it's their covid policy.
So eventually I end up with a feeling I could get same service for way less in 3 star hotel.
I also been charged 100$ for 3 nights parking, no one asked me the way I want to pay for it.

Minimalist hotel from the room to the service. Bathroom and shower small and have the sink in the middle of the room. Bed quite comfortable but cold room. Excellent pool and steam room. Parking is ridiculously expensive; there are better value hotels in Montreal but if you get a good rate, it’s worth it for the pool and if you have a high floor.

J'ai eu une belle expérience. Les chambres sont équipées d'un petit réfrigérateur et d'un Nespresso. Les lits sont très confortables et la salle de bain est spacieuse. Le personnel est très courtois. Je pourrai suggérer des prises usb-c et mettre à disposition des flûtes de champagne.

Le personnel est très professionnel, répond a nos besoins. Les chambres sont vraiment propre et confortable. Le seul inc qui j'ai a mentionner, il y avait une seule robe de chambre et pas de pantoufle disponible dans la chambre. Mais la réception a répondu a nos demande immédiatement!
PS: La piscine et le spa a ne pas manquer!

Beautiful! Really nice place to stay and centrally located. Once we'r got there, didn't have to take the car out at all since wer could easily walk to shopping, dining, pretty much everywhere wer wanted to go. At night, they have lavendar satchels available. Pool, hot tub, and sauna were well maintained. My only gripe was the entrance to the parking garage, really tight space.

I really love the lobby in this hotel. It’s spacious with a library area and general seating area. An option for coffee would be nice that’s not limited to the breakfast hours. The rooms are sparse, but that’s intentional. The bedding is of high quality and super comfy.

Location is fantastic. The rooms were clean and modern and the service was super friendly and responsive. Pool area is wonderful. Bad parts are 1) They had some cleaning staff shortage so our room was n't cleaned until like 7 or 8 p.m. 2) The breakfast buffet was Laaaaame and not worth the price 3) The floor in the pool area is a bit slippery they need to tread it or something. My daughter ended up fracturing her hand while walking and taking a slip. I still give the place a 5 star because of everything else and i'll probably be back (with aqua grip shoes this time)

Stylish and clean hotel. <br/>Although not impressed by their staff. I am a platinum member and used a nice award during my last visit to Montreal. I would say I got the least experience at a Marriott brand. <br/>Would not return!

Wonderful hotel in the heart of downtown but the lack of complimentary breakfast seems rather disappointing. There are about 10 Marriott properties in the vicinity and all but this place and Courtyard doesn't give a breakfast option. The price point is too high compared to the Westin which is only a few blocks away and a much better property I feel. Regardless the rooms and amenities are really good so no complaints there.

The best hotel in downtown. The front dest staff was professional. The location is in a great place. It was a grocery store down the street. It's near a major bus terminal. And it's minutes from Old Town Montreal.
