Allo Vélo Boutique + Cafe

As visitors to Montreal we hired bikes for a couple of days. Lamar was very helpful and thorough.

We love this place! They were very nice and friendly! We had a good time with them and we will definitely visit Allo Vélo again!

Living in the United States, we ended up purchasing our Schindelhauer Frieda through Allo Velo and having it shipped to us. We just had the pleasure of visiting Allo Velo while in Montreal for the jazz festival and were so impressed with the shop. Justin waited on us and was extremely knowledgable, assisting my wife with the purchases of a lock, Spurcycle bell, and Ortlieb bag for her bike. Allo Velo is a wonderfully curated shop with high quality European city bicycles and accessories. Shops like this are extremely rare in my experience, where the customer service and passion for bicycles are so evident. Wish we had an Allo Velo where we live. Ken and Sally

I've had my bikes fixed here many times in the past. I love this place. Especially for the guys working there, they're always so happy to help, and one can tell they absolutely love their job.
I wish I knew the name of the guy who helped me today choosing a new wheel, but thank you either way, everything fits just like you said it would.

We showed up without reservations after searching the internet. The service was awesome and we were set up with great bikes. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They offered advice on where to go in Montreal. We had an early flight home and we couldn't return the bikes earlier because of Canada Day and the weekend so they picked the bikes up at our hotel. Highly recommend renting from here. Cool shop too!

Amazing service in this place. They offer free air and tools for your bike and the staff is all very helpful. So polite and knowledgeable, it’s a joy to come in every time, even if some things are a bit pricy!

They showed me that my ability to ride was important to them, and made sure that I had an operational bicycle when I needed it. ALLO Velo has mastered client customer service. The owner and his team are exceptional and passionate about their craft. Their mechanic Etienne gave me sound advice on proper maintenance and techniques to enhance my riding experience.

Best bike store in Montreal! Amazing bike selection and great maintenance and repair services!

I had a great experience trying out a bike I was looking at. The owners and staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about their ebikes and their gritty details. In the end they even partially disassembled a bike for me to fit it into the back of my car! I am incredibly thankful for their assistance. I love riding my muli-st on daily trips to the store, or just about; it is incredibly nimble for a cargo bike.

I took my bike there for a problem and they fixed it really well. They are super professional and nice and even the guy took his time to patiently explain to me what the problem was with my bike. You can absolutely trust them with your bike.

Just had a fantastic experience renting a bike for the day. The staff is so helpful and kind. The rental process is simple & quick (affordable too!). Plus they are located right by the canal in Griffintown.perfect starting point for an epic day of biking in MTL.

Lamar and the whole team at Allo are exceptional. We didn't buy much, but from the start, Lamar was very quick, courteous and helpful with his responses to our email enquiry. We had to keep our purchase at the shop for pick up at a later date, and everything went smoothly with nothing missing and no wait time. Truly wonderful experience.

I had come in for a bike repair and was back on the road within 15 minutes. Very friendly service and knowledgeable staff. I was not charged for the repair which was unexpected but much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this shop to others. I'll definitely be back here for any future needs.

I would recommend this place. I just turned up and hired a bike. It came with a helmet and lock. I cycled along the canal and then back along the river.

I highly recommend this place! I'm a novice biker, came in with a flat tire and not only did they fix it right away, they went above and beyond with the service. I even got some advice to improve my biking experience. Everyone in the shop was knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I will definitely keep going back there for anything bike related!

There’s a coffee shop in the store that serves a pretty good Oat Latte! So while you get your bike fixed you can enjoy a nice cup of Joe.

I was looking for a specific European bike, not sold in the US, and this shop was the only one available that had the model I was looking for. With everything going on in recent times, shipping has proved to be quite difficult, with problems including theft, damage, and basically unsuccessful deliveries. These guys were gracious and open to looking past that in my case, and shipping a high value bike to me. They were prompt, courteous, and I felt really accommodated throughout the entire experience. I received my bike today, with no issues and I'm excited to go on the type of rides I've been wanting to do, on the very bike that I wanted. I highly recommend these guys.

I've only used their bicycle repair services (they also have a sales floor and a café), but have been totally satisfied. They are very upfront about costs and turnaround time. The staff is very friendly and I have been happy with the quality of their work.

Amazing service! Went in to fix a deflated tire and they did it immediately, also fixed other parts of my bike and had delicious coffee as well. Awesome spot would recommend to anyone biking.

The technical knowledge, commitment, and customer care of the staff at this store are exemplary. What I experienced at this store was beyond my satisfaction. Nice staff, cool store and you will receive and get what you are looking for. I wish I could bring my car there. Whatever your technical problem, they are up to help, even if it is something not exactly related to a bicycle but your baby stroller.

J’ai fait beaucoup de bike shop dans le centre sub et pour vrai c’est eux les meilleurs! Courtois, bon prix, belle et cool place avec ti café et Mate Libre. Des réparations qui tiennent la route pour vrai! Et en plus ils m’ont montré comment changer mon pneus juste parce que je leur ai demandé. Pour vrai c’est eux les meilleurs!

Best bike shop I've had the pleasure of stepping into on the island of Montreal!
This place was reccomended to me by a passing cyclist when I mentioned long waiting times at other shops for simple maintenance.

Within 2 hours they had my bike fully checked, offered sound advice on personal maintenance and installed a kickstand on my nonstandard RadMission bike. Their shopis well equipped and the coffee they serve while you wait for repairs is delicious.

I highly reccomend anyone who needs work done on their bike or is looking for bike parts/accessories come to this shop, the speed and quality of service is unmatched!

Amazing customer service, very nice bike store with european style bikes, and a repair shop plus a section to buy some clothing, definitely recommended spot to fix your bike, and to buy one if you like the feel of riding a bike like the ones you get in europe.

The service of the mechanic teams is good and even ifyou have problems after a while they help you really fast!

Je suis allé faire un tune up pour mon vélo et le gars a pris le temps de tout bien m'expliquer ce qui fonctionnait bien et ce qui devait être changé. C'est sur que mon prochain tune up j'y retourne.

While biking around downtown, my bike chain broke and I had no tools nor the parts to repair it in order to get home. I called Allo Vélo Boutique asking them if they could fix it, and they said they'd take a look.

When I got there, the staff was sweet and knowledgeable. They fixed up my bike chain within 10 minutes for a really good price and I was able to bike home without any problem.

I do cycling for more than 40 years, also I travel a lot, used to visit cycling shops in every country I visit, also I am professional in maintaining my bicycle (S). Passed by the store today to change a flat tire; it was really great that they fixed it within 1 hour on a relatively busy Sunday.

The staff was super kind as well, down to earth and respectful.

However, I’ve later realized that the tire wasn’t seated in the rim properly. I am fully aware that my rim has a tight fit, which makes it difficult to seat the tire. Nonetheless, a bodged job is not acceptable. I would happily pay extra if they needed extra time to seat the tire properly.

Also to note, a tire dipping inward due to tight fit can easily be fixed by over inflating temporarily until it pops into place (160-170 psi in my case). Maybe, the staff lacked experience on road bikes.

It's also a coffee shop. It has a cozy interior with high roof, large windows and comfortable seats.

They had a few Vanmoof Bikes, which I haven't seen in any other bike shop in Montreal. They also had Fuji and Bombtrack cyclocross and more

J'ai consulté GMaps suite à une crevaison. Je ne comprends pas les avis négatifs:) J ai appelé, ils m ont confirmé que la réparation serait immédiate. Le service a ete parfait et rapide, ce même durant l heure de lunch ;)

They told me that the amount of time they would take to fix my bike it would leave them less money than it would if they worked in their other bikes instead. The guy didn't even care, shows how they are all about the money and not about a good service.
