ALOHA Espresso Bar

It was my first time ever trying Kona coffee, so maybe the issue is me, but this was the worst tasting coffee I ever had. I got a medium 100% Kona latte with macadamia milk, and it was the most bitter thing I've ever had. When I got back to my office I poured it over ice and it was tolerable, but I could not drink it hot.

Further, it was expensive. After tip, it was almost $10 and it was not very big. The milk was barely frothed, and the container not full.

I went right after it opened (at 11am, what a weird opening time for a coffee place) and it was dead. The staff were not behind the counter; from the outside it looked closed.

The cups are super cute, and so is the inside although it has almost no seating. There are so many coffee shops in Old Montreal, there is no reason to go here unless you really want Kona coffee.

Fantastic coffee and bowls. Everything tasted fresh and was worth every cent. The restaurant itself is warm in the summer with limited seating so keep that in mind

Excellent! The bowls are like works of art with the fresh fruit, and the staff is very friendly! A little pricey, but the bowls are so big that 2-3 people can easily share. I'll be going back next time I'm in Montreal!

The espresso bar has a good vibe but when it comes to their coffee, it wasn’t that impressive. Most of the exotic coffee on their menu was not available and we just tried a latte which didn’t taste good.

The fruit bowls were a little more sugary than I was expecting. Tasty, but not as healthy as I had assumed. Fantastic service, but the place was sweltering hot, hopefully they will turn their AC on shortly.

Terrible service à la clientèle. 40 minutes pour faire un poke à emporter alors qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup de monde et qu'on a signifié qu'on était pressées. Aucune excuse de la part du personnel qui rigole et ne nous prend pas au sérieux. Et après 40 minutes, le poke arrive avec des oignons alors qu'on avait spécifiquement mentionner "sans oignons", encore une fois, aucune excuse et même attitude insolente.

I had a pink panther and a coffee. It was super tasty (my compliments to the cook) and the staff was super friendly and efficient. I also need to know how they got curtains in the same pattern as the wall paper. The decor is great!

43m wait for a pokebowl. Well over an hour for my partner's food.

They prioritized people that took takeout, so about 6-8 orders came after us and they were all served before us. Another women took just a latte for dine in and that also took her about 30-40m to get just that latte.

I also expected the kimchi to be lightly fermented, but it was way too fermented. When that carbonated taste is combined with a pokebowl, you don't really taste anything else but the kimchi which is just supposed to be a side. Did not expect this for a 25$ bowl.

Le brownie fait maison est un délice et l’açaï bowl coloré avec une belle représentation est tout aussi savoureux avec toutes ses saveurs et la qualité de la nourriture. Une belle découverte et un bon investissement dans la nourriture saine et de qualité.

Portions and coffee were excellent, but the Dragonfly açai bowl was disappointing, it lacked fresh fruits. Poke bowl was pretty good.

I had Pink panther with some fruits on top.
It was tasty and quite big portion to me. I wish they had half size.
The cashier lady was super nice and she helped me order. I want to come back in the summer time next time!

Ordered two poke - Hawaii and bora bora.

Hawaii was delicious. It didn’t have a few ingredients that were mentioned on the menu but tasted good and fresh.

Bora bora - there was something off about it. The sauce that they use didn’t work for me. It’s a white coconut milk sauce that looked curdled

We've had açai bowls several times here now and there are delicious and fresh everytime. Just tried the poke bowls and they were very good as well. Consistent in quality and presentation too, can't go wrong with the coffee either!

Cute coffee shop with a unique menu! Their smoothies were good; not the best I've ever had BUT it was filling and you can tell it was fresh. I would go back however service is a tad slow.

Waited over 40 minutes for a SMOOTHIE. It was very expensive for the quantity received (15$ after tax for a small sized smoothie). The smoothie tasted watered down and had barely any flavour to it. Very disappointed. Also the staff working here are literally children aged 16 and under (is that even legal?).

We come here every time we’re in Montreal! The Açaí bowls are delicious, with very large portions! They clearly put a lot of time and effort in to each bowl, because they are beautifully and meticulously made! Thank you!

The coffee is really good. However, I do want to point out that the milk is 3.5% (regular) and the oat milk has sugar in it. This may be the reason why the coffee is so smooth. If you’re health conscious, stick to the Americano because the roast is definitely good.

Waited 35 minutes for a smoothie to go. There was nobody in front of me. Half the workers don’t know what they’re doing & there’s also kids managing the orders. Super unprofessional.

I got the hazelnut mocha with 100% Kona beans. The milk foam had an amazing velvety texture and it was the perfect temperature to sip on. Their mugs are great to hold and were very clean. The Kona beans, while cost you an up-charge, are definitely worth it! The flavour profile of the bean has a great depth and the bitterness perfectly complements the chocolate and hazelnut! I was very impressed with the pairing:) The service was lovely, I appreciated that they walked over to hand me the coffee, most places shout the order even if the store is not busy. I watched them preparing a fruit bowl for another customer while I was checking out the menu and they took great care with preparing the fruit and presenting it nicely on the bowl! The decor inside is so cute and feels very warm. If you're walking through Old Montreal, make sure you give their coffee a try! Next time I'll have to order one of their bowls, they look so delicious.
