Delivery driver spilled an entire cup of sauce onto my naan, which was not wrapped or covered, which ruined that part of my meal. Everything else had zero flavor. Just awful.

I don't know how you can make a pick-up of takeout a rude experience but they actually managed it. Gave me a lecture on how to hold the bag despite refusing to hand it to me. I also heard him make comments about me while I was searching around for the food (he just vaguely pointed to the right and then went back into the kitchen).

Also thought it was strange that they completed the order on the app before the food was ready. Never seen that before. You should be charged after pick-up.

The Tika Masala was gross by the way. Giving it 2 stare since I did get food on time.

I usually don’t write negative reviews but doing it for this one. Please don’t waste your valuable money going here. Worst food ever! Waitor was not even interested to take order. Chapati was walmart frozen one and that too half heated. It was literally cold and uncooked. Curry didn’t had a single cube of paneer I ordered. Now I understand why I was there alone whole time.

Adding another point here that the only Chef there is from Bangladesh. That said, he had no understanding of Indian food though they market their restaurant as Indian to get customers. Not being racist here, but honest. They have no understanding of Indian cuisine and taste. Please avoid!

Amazing food, great service and very very clean! I have been going to this restaurant since it opened 40 years ago. Their food, service and cleanliness has never been anything but excellent.which makes me supsicious of the poor ratings certain individuals gave them. I call it competitive jealousy and sabotage. Pure and simple. Go to this resto and encourage them. Covid was tough for restaurateurs, and Asha is still hanging on.

We went to Asha a bit skeptical with prior ratings. But it was an amazing experience. We ordered lamb bhuna and chicken jalfrezi and mixed vegetable and daal. All dishes tasted very good. Order naan over chappati. The place was cold for us but facility was clean especially restrooms which are usually the filthiest in many Indian restaurants. We were very happy with our dining experience.

Montreal’s worst Indian restaurant. Not worth eating. The food quality was very bad and was overpriced. I wasted my money here. Very bad experience. We ordered shahi paneer and it was way too sweet and didn’t even look like shahi paneer at all. Very poor and rude hospitality. Please don’t go there if you wanna eat real Indian food.

The food was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. I got the Chicken Jalfrezi, Cauliflower Bhaji, and garlic nan.

Worst Biryani in the world. I have no idea how someone can make such a bad biryani. Don't ever order it. Don't know about other items, but will never try.

Very good for a business lunch, or for families/friends. The decor is professional enough and the table are properly dressed (tablecloth, cloth napkins). The lunch menu is diverse and reasonably priced. You get a soup, a salad, rice and a desert with every dish you order for 10-13$. The food was good, not extraordinary and maybe a bit plain. I ordered a mild Korma because I didn't know the place and was concerned it might be too spicy, but none of the dish we ordered were spicy, even the tikka masala which was supposed to be spicy. The service was fine, and they agreed to adapt one of their dish for my friend. Overall it's a good place for lunch, or dinner with family on a budget, but the food isn't particularly flavorful.

I ordered the butter chicken, sag aloo and samosas. The flavors are very bland. Zero seasoning or spice. Doesn't even taste like it's Indian food. I was super disappointed.

What a waste of prime real estate! I hope they close down and are replaced by a place that is actually interested is serving its customers.

We have been going to Asha for several years now and have always been delighted with the food and service! We particularly like the vegetable balti and the vegetarian biryani. The dal soup and naan at Asha are the best we have had in Montreal.

I got lamb biryani, it doesn't taste like what it was. I feel it was not worthy to spend on that.

Food just isn't good. The butter chicken tastes of nothing and so fat, the samosas are obviously unfrozen. Very disappointed.

Excellent service et les plats sont bien apprêtés à votre goût.
Le personnel est courtois et parle bien français. Les prix sont abordables.

Basically not a true Indian restaurant by taste. Kind of Bengali taste which may be good for few but not good for people coming for authentic taste and experience. Last week went to Darbar Indian Restaurant and the experience was the best yet in Canada.

By far the best Butter Chicken we've ever had the pleasure of eating, and some of the best Indian food around for miles. Service is on time and excellent, everytime we visit, the owners and staff have been nothing short of cordial. Perfectly situated and with a charming Indian atmosphere, this is the best place to grab an ethnic bite to eat after a long hike on the mountain, or a walk around town, or even for a quick dinner after a nice day. Asha is without doubt our favorite restaurant in Montreal and with good reason.

When I was living there, I used to go every month or so with someone. Not too cheap nor too expensive. Staff is ok.food is good. One time, I decided to invite a friend from France. My treat. He wanted to pay at least the tip. Once we finished, he did an honest mistake and forgot to leave the tip (since in France, tips are included in the price). The Indian waiter told him "you NEED to pay the tip, that's the law". I'm Canadian, not French and I know the law. So I told the waiter this is not true and that he shouldn't tell customers these things. I was really anoyed but remained calm. Despite my words, my friend ended paying the tip because he was afraid to get into trouble.
Because of that, never came back there. In my blacklist. Too bad, the food wasn't that bad.
2018-08-29 After having read my own comments, I still remembered how unpleasant it was to hear, in my hometown, that the tip was mandatory when this is NOT true. Very ephemeral. Reduced to one star. If you are not satisfied with the service, you still don't have to tip. And besides it might be included in the price.

I found their mango lassi very delicious. The rest of the food is same as any other typical Indian restaurant…nothing extraordinary in the menu. They have a nice selection of alcohol though. So, you don't need to bring your own wine.

But I found the service to be a little weird. I went there one time to ask if they have samosas, as I was craving for them. When I asked the waiter, he said we can go to another restaurant because he didn't want to serve only samosa! Then again I went there with my boyfriend last week (because this place is very close from my home). It was late afternoon, we went for a walk and on our way back home we went to the restaurant just to have some light meal. We ordered some appetizer and drinks as we were not that hungry. The waiter acted very weird. He wasn't satisfied with our order. But this time he couldn't ask us to leave as he already got us a table.
So long story short, not satisfied with the service at all. If you are going for a huge meal, sure go ahead. Otherwise be ready to be weirdly judged by the waiters.

The food is fine, the service and staff are not. Blunt and and air of dismissiveness enough to be considered rude without really talking at all. Went on two occasions (the second only due to convenience) - same experience both times.
