Well attended, the prices of meat and some other things are very, very high. Be careful, otherwise it's fine

We go every other Saturday for groceries - Spätzle, Sausage, pickles, sauerkraut, tea and of course chocolate and cookies (now is the best season for cookies since their Christmas stuff is in!). The store is nice and small and the staff are friendly. I even practice my German a little bit if I'm not feeling shy!
I also love their pretzels which make a great snack to go after shopping! Coming here makes me look forward to grocery shopping!

Une bien belle petite boutique de produits importés d'Europe.
J'y ai trouvé des aliments fins de belle qualité, mais j'ai trouvé aussi une partie du personnel qui refuse de répondre en français. Dommage!

If you are looking for fresh and cold meats, this is a good place to go, they also have a wide variety of European products that are not easy to find elsewhere. The only inconvenient is that the place is small and the merchandise is a lot, so if you don't take time to look carefully at each aisle, you won't know exactly what they sell there.

Bought this piece of cheese on Friday June 30th. The guy actually recommended it. The cheese expirary date was in March! Be carefull of this place and check what you buy. I understand now why he recommended that! Wanted to got rid of expired cheese!

Je reviens de ma première visite chez Atlantique depuis plus de 20 ans. Je n'ai aucune excuse assez bonne de ne pas y être retourné entretemps et j'ai la ferme intention d'en faire un arrêt régulier à partir de maintenant!

C'est un tout petit marché familial comme on en retrouve dans les quartiers Allemands et la sélection est tout de même excellente!

Leberwurst auf Pumpernickel und Bretzeln waren frisch und wunderbar!

Came here last summer and fell in love with this place. The shelves were packed with all kinds of interesting things. At the sandwich counter, there was an incredibly friendly man who made me a delicious beef tongue sandwich. I also got a coffee that really hit the spot. I'll definitely visit here again if I return to Montreal.

It's great to find some European and even Swedish items. Nice store. Their home made ham is delicious and so are the sausages. Just saying - pickled herring!

One the Best places in montreal for Lunch (schnitzel! Meat loaf! Asparagus ect) in a Bag has a full range Deli meats including sausage & aged steaks plus fowl, cheeses (including Godminister and Leicester Red) small but a nice selections of European stuff including beer&wine plus if they don't have the cheese Exo Fruits up the street past the Scotia bank will. A Really Great Area.

Petite épicerie bien fournie avec une grande variété de produits importés. J'y trouve plusieurs choses qui sont moins faciles à trouver à Montréal: produits français, allemands ou encore autrichiens. Endroit toujours occupé. Ils ont aussi de bonnes charcuteries que je ne trouve pas ailleurs et les produits de boulangerie sont très appétissants. J'y achète parfois des cadeaux pour certaines personnes qui s'ennuient des produits de leur pays natal.

Great meat, charcuterie, fish and prepared food. Austrian delicacies and other European food. Owners are such nice people. Go.

A good variety of products. Those sausage are authentic from Germany and I’m pretty sure that you can’t find better german sausage in Montreal. So if you are looking to do a choucroute this is the place to go.

Rude, ill tempered cashier who never smiles, shows no respect for customers and has no sense of humour. Products and counter food are overpriced.

Unbelievably rude and aggressive. I was cashing out and a woman, presumably the one in so many other bad reviews, swept by and snatched the basket the cashier had just taken my groceries out of and said "bloody Americans! ", took the basket and slammed it down in the stack by the doorway. It was really unbelievable, since it had been moments since the basket had been emptied of purchases and I hadn't yet paid- there was not even a period in which I could have yet possibly returned the basket to the stack. Photo attached, since as I scroll looking at previous reviews, it seems to be their recurring tactic to question whether reviewers actually did go into their shop at all. Will never return again and suggest keeping less personable assets in the back of house where their poor social skills are best suited.

Even though its late in December, I was still able to go into this wonderful place and pick up a very good selection of European Christmas goodies.

Seems like a very interesting place to explore for German/Austrian delicacies.
I went in December, and they had a lot of different kinds of Stollen, marzipan chocolates. Etc. I have not yet tried the butcher part but looking forward to try one day. I saw a lot of different kinds of cured meat and sausages in the show case.

Quelle adorable épicerie européenne (surtout allemande et autrichienne, mais avec des produits français, suisses.) Des produits maison et un service charmant.

Fait partie des commerce qui me font aimer Côte-Des-Neiges et sa vie de quartier. J'adore y aller, ne serait-ce que pour le plaisir.

Contrairement à d'autres commentaires, je trouve le personnel (les proprio au moins) très sympa. Ils proposent une bonne sélection de produits allemands, ainsi que des publications en langue allemande. On peut se faire servi en allemand, en plus.

Reminded me of my German grandparents i miss them dearly, the smells the atmosphere, and of course the food and products, very friendly helpful staff, i will definitely be back. I loved everything about it.

Très bonnes saucisses, certains mets un peu trop dispendieux, mais le personnel est la raison pour laquelle je ne depenserai plus un sou dans ce commerce. Honnetement à ce stade je soupçonne même de la discrimination.

This is a great story about two hardworking families with true values, providing top quality service and products. A family-run business with a super friendly staff. Visiting this specialty store is always an experience.
This is where i get my goodies, my weekly fix. Not to be missed.

I’ve gone there for a number of years, and they tend to be a bit high-brow. 2 weeks ago I purchased the last 2 vanilla beans. When I tried to use them the bean was dedicated, so dry I couldn’t even cut it in half. I tried to use it by simmering in milk—to no avail.

The expiration date was April 2020. When I went back asking for a refund or my money back, the owner (I had asked to speak to the owner and he identified himself as such) told me did you soak it. I said I’d never soaked a bean before but that it was simply dedicated.

His response was that he would show it to the manufacturers’ rep. No refund; it’s as if he was blaming me. And that’s the meaning behind my feeling that they are rather dismissive of their clients. So now I’m have to wait who knows how long for $16.00. And I also told him that it was the last on the shelf.when I to, d hi the expiration date was waning he told me that it was still good until 04/2020, and I had to remind him that that was only three months away, and that this was most likely the reason the beans were dried out.to no avail.

. Shame on this place.
I have bought today for approximately 25 dollars plus taxes and paid by credit card. I saw 43.5.60 +10 for sweet + cake 8 and coffee 3$. Taxes is 2.50 approx.
They gave me a receipt with no details.
When asked it they've shown up like very busy. I arrived home and counted. 25+$.

Great, friendly service. Main reason I'm posting here: they often carry herring fillets in brine! I've found these extremely difficult to find. Hope this helps others.

Friendly family store with a lot of products from Europ. Lunches are unbelievable very delicious. Tuna Salad was my favorite

Not the best place for fish (offerings are rather limited), but lovely for meats, takeout meals, bread, German pastries, and fine groceries. A real joy!

Must go for their sandwiches; they have a variety of German and Austrian products, looks almost like a German store when you browse the shelves. Und natürlich sprechen sie dort deutsch, also einfach mal auf deutsch bestellen. Lecker!

What a great place! Even though I've come to learn it's been around for years, I just discovered this deli a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier that I did. Being of Austrian and German heritage, it's always been tough finding somewhere in Montreal that offers foods I am familiar with. This deli ticks all the boxes, for me. They prepare great sandwiches for you. There's potato salad, ham salad, cucumber salad.sausages, leberkäse and cheeses of all kinds. The shelves are stocked with alot of imported foods, jams and coffee. The breads, buns and pretzels look scrumptious, but my absolute favourite is the apple strudl. It's made just as my mom used to make it, not too sweet, not too tart and sprinkled with icing sugar, with a few squirts of whipped cream, on the side. YUM!

A delightful place to discover on your way to or from St. Joseph's Oratory. They have delicacies from all over the world!

Walked in a couple of weeks back to look for a particular imported jam. After browsing the cashier asked me what I was looking for, when I replied she said they did not have it, I thanked her, so far so good. She then proceeded to prompt me to leave the store in a manner that was suggestive that she wanted me to leave right there and then (leading me toward the door) as though I was an intruder and stood at the door posing like a bouncer and waited there until I was out of the store completely.

Great owners and staff, great products, great home-made lunches by Gerald which one can eat on site and take to the office/home. I can only highly recommend Atlantic. Nothing beats a family operated specialty food shop.

Great place for Finnish and French products on top of the German ones.just what we need. They even have ruisleipä from time to time!
