Au Coin pub gastronomique

Bistro vintage sans prétention, animé, avec un grand bar et une terrasse avec feu de bois.
Les calmars frits et la salade de choux de Bruxelles en entrée étaient excellents. La morue du fish and chips était fraîche et la cuisson moelleuse. Le burger de bison ne se démarquait pas de façon particulière. Bons desserts.
Le seul bémol, cette fois-ci, était les frites. Au lieu de frites maison, c'était des frites allumettes sans goût.

Pour l’expérience culinaire c’est excellent. Nous avons commandés les entrées de calamars frits et la salade cesar de choux de Bruxelles. Comme plats principaux nous avons optés pour le burger de bison, le jarret d’agneau et les tagliatelles au Canard et a la truffe. Tout était délicieux.
Les cocktails aussi sont biens.
Le service mérite largement l’amélioration. Ils semblent prioriser les clients qui sont assis au bar plutôt que ceux qui viennent pour souper. Nous avons eu le temps de manger nos dos services alors que les gens à coté de nous s’endormaient en attendant leur commande qui n’était pas très grande.

We came in with group of 10+ and waited over an hour for food (which is understandable). However the Lamb shank is tough like stone. Poutine is tasteless. Cozy pub and convenient parking, but food is disappointing.prob the only explanation is they are short staffed as we only see one waitress and the restaurant was full when we came in.

Nous sommes des habitués. Je ne sais pas s il y a eu un changement de chef mais c était extrêmement ordinaire. Pour le prix, en ce moment, je ne recommande pas du tout.

We had the flank steak, fish and chips, calamari, and chocolate lava cake for desert.
Everything was amazing, excellent presentation too, and great friendly service.

Aujourd'hui pour dîner nous avons mangé une salade césar qui ne goûtait rien et un fish and chips froid alors bien que la serveuse Brigitte est très gentille nous n'y retournerons pas.

Went with a group of 10. Nobody in line ahead of us took a long time for someone to seat us even though tables were available. Also took a long time before anyone took our orders and a very long time to receive them. Maybe it was just one of those days

Ok food, service is uneven. Waiting over 1 hour for food to arrive. Tables around us that were seated after us were served and finished before our food arrived.

Good food, service. The only issue I had was the appetizers were delivered with the main course.

My experience at Au Coin (after many visits) is unfortunately consistent with the other poor reviews in this thread. The food is good, and the location / atmosphere is great, but the service is terrible. The attitude of staff and management is consistent with the negative criticism. Maybe someday the owners will find the right mix of staff and management to fully realize the potential of this historic establishment. Until then, I would not return.

Sadly the worst service experience I can remember - from no greeter for our reservation to 30 minute to be seated at a dirty table with glasses we had to take over to server. 40 minutes to be served only after I sought out a server. We were not alone in service deficiency with no apologies or even acknowledgment. Clearly understaffed. Food quality was good but very expensive. Had a long wait for table clear and bill. Even with that the preset tips at 15 18 and 20% did not easily allow for the deserved far less. I hate to complain and rarely ever do but it was bad such I needed to write this. Never again and recommend almost any other place unless they can be better staffed and organized - but how can you tell before waiting in line (which ours was 25 minutes before the reservation time!)

Don’t sleep on the Fish and Chips. Singular fish, plural chips, but it’s a heaping helping. Not sure I’ve had more flavor in a piece of fried fish without a soggy bunch of fry batter getting in the way. Go for it.

Not sure how I spent so much money, but that’s the joint. You know what you’re getting into around Mont-Tremblant.

Excellent food, the staff were not particularly attentive and brought us the check before we were finished. I would go again and hope for a better result. As a result of the somewhat rude service I reduced the tip by 5%.

Les meilleurs calmars frits que j'ai mangé! Tout était super bon! Portion et rapport qualité prix très bien. Belle terrasse et l'ensemble de l'établissement était propre et chaleureux.
On a pris 1 entrée à deux et un plat ch. Une bouteille de vin et chacun apero total 250$ pourboires inclus! Arrêter au passage vous ne serez pas déçu!

Personnel vraiment sympathique, belle terrasse, bonnes portions.
Moules très bonnes! Fish and Ship un peu fade.
Tout près d’un stationnement gratuit.

Service was on par with most of the restaurants this weekend; not stellar to okay. Resturant and bar were nicely decorated, nice ambiance and friendly staff.

Food was good and came in a somewhat reasonable amount of time. We were able to enjoy without being rushed. Bison berger was a good portion and was tasty.

After a very long drive from the city, on a hot and humid day, we get there my husband and I, looking forward to an amazing food experience as this place was recommended to us by a friend who was from Mont Tremblant. My husband ordered the Bison Burger, and I had the entrées of Salmon Tartare and Salade Croquante.
The burger was delicious, my husband had half only and asked for the other half to be packed to go, however it was thrown out in the kitchen. My salad was full of yellow leaves and not so fresh brownish yellow grapes, the salmon tartare came without fries but with rubber like chips next to it. It was a disappointing experience, but I have to mention that the waitress was nice to us and wanted to remove the burger charge but we didn’t accept and we paid the full charge and left. I honestly wouldn’t come back or recommend this place. Sorry!

We wanted to place a to go order and they told us no. Never had a restaurant tell us no to go orders. Must have been having a bad day since they where rude about it.

Came here from my Toronto with friends. Service was absolutely terrible. They didn’t come around asking if we need more water. After asking, had to wait 20 minutes. Food took almost an hour and at the end the lady asked why we didn’t tip and caused a scene. She’s working customer service and can’t provide it.

I usually don’t write bad reviews but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. The waiter begged for tips after a horrible service that they provided us. In the end the waiter literally told me “to look at my face in the mirror”. She tried so hard to embarrass me and make me uncomfortable.

I won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s looking to have a good time in this town.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The hostess was impolite. The food was delayed by 50minutes. Upon asking about the delay of food the waitress replied with “why, are you in a rush? ” I mean what kind of a customer service is that. The hostess and the waitress were potentially racist as they were attending all other tables properly but to us they only came to take the order and get the bill. After the horrible experience they asked us to pay tip. They harassed my friends and I upon telling them politely about the bad experience we had. We still ended up paying the tip. Hope it lets them sleep better at night

Great atmosphere, and exceptional food. Service was really slow the day we went, and menu was limited (said they were out of most options, so we could only get snacks). Pricey, but it is a resort town. I'll probably give it one more try.

We have been to this pub 2x in 3 days for dinner. The bison burger and caesar salad are great. Even on nights when they are understaffed, they try their best with a smile and are good at communicating wait times. They have a good menu and it’s a great location.
