Went to pick up an order for ubereats. I let them know I was with Uber eats to pick an order. They had me waiting for 20 minutes and when I asked how long was it going to take they told me they haven't started it yet. They legit just forgot about my whole existence. And I'm 6ft2 so u can't say u missed me

Very poor quality food, the waiter ignored us completely after he brought the food and plates and table were dirty. AVOID at all cost

We recently had the best experience at this Au Vieux Duluth location in the West Island. Our whole family agreed Georgia and Dimitra did a fantastic job serving a large group with professionalism and care. Our party was impressed by the quality and portions of our meals. We had amazing Greek food to say the least! From beginning to end, we had a lovely dinner experience, and we are sure to go back. Thank you once again!

Before getting into what transpired on my visit to Au Vieux Duluth Restaurant, id like to disclose that I was employed as a waiter and busboy at several different AVD's around Montreal for over 10 years. This franchise was an example of the strong work ethic of a once hungry Greek community who were making their mark on the Montreal restaurant scene. Providing excellent quality service, cleanliness and great food for all.

I walked in on a Monday at 8: 10pm. Monday night, as an ex-restaurant employee i can confirm that this is the quietest day and time of the week. The server greeted us at the front entrance by saying "hurry up, we are closing soon". This immediately ruined the mood. If you are considering a career in waiting tables, I advise against this as an opening line.

The wall which our booth touched up against was full of stains and spots of food splatter. It was awful. My water glass had a piece of lettuce stuck on it. The busboy promptly changed it and apologized.

The waiter came over to take our order, before I was done ordering my meal he already began to walk away from the table. I had to shout out my appetizer while he was already 5 - 7 steps away from our table.

After about 15 - 20 minutes i started to feel like i was not going to get my appetizer. However i was wrong. The waiter brought my escargot. As a former employee i can tell you that an escargot takes no more than 5 min to cook. When he brought the escargot over he told us that "i did not forget you" he then told us that the meal was also ready.and should he wait or bring it out right away. What a ridiculous question. We said bring it out. The escargot dish which is placed in the oven when it is cooked was not hot. The escargot must have been sitting on the counter for at least 10 min.

On to the main course. Parts of the salad were discolored and the rice was barely warm. On the plus side the chicken and shrimp were tasty and the feta cheese was delicious.

I get no pleasure in writing a review like this. It is upsetting to me how a business that at one time cared for its customers now treats them as a nuisance.

Great service, delicious food and reasonable prices, enjoyed dinning with work colleagues.

I have not eaten at this restaurant since maybe 2009 or 2010. My wife wanted to try it and I was hesitant of course. Last time I ate here years ago, I didn’t enjoy it. Wow. To my surprise they renovated inside to a nice modern but cozy look. The food was very good and meat was very tender. Portions are very good and it’s affordable. Our waiter was very friendly, humble and made us feel very welcome. In fact, he made our night even better with the small conversation we had with him. Overall great experience and I will be dinning here again in the near future.

All was a great experience with our most recent visit to Au Vueux Duluth. It had been some time since our last visit, and I must say we were not disappointed. Food was delicious, and the service was fast, taking into consideration the current lack of employees, affecting many establishments. We plan to go back this month for another reunion and look forward to it.

Our Soccer team (U9 girls Dollard Dragons) decided to hold our year end banquet at Au Vieux Duluth on St. Jean in DDO. I was nervous as when you go with a big crowd the service can be painfully slow and disorganized. We were 56 people. Tasso, Spiro and the entire staff are so good at what they do it was like they were serving a table of four. The orders were taken quite quickly and easily and the plates arrived in a timlely manner and all within a few minutes of each other. Hot and tasty. Both parents and kids enjoyed thier meals and the kids meals at $7.95 may just be the best deal in town. I highly reccomend them for big or small events. Great job Au Vieux Duluth.

Très difficile de se faire servir en français… De plus, il y avait une mouche dans la crème glacée de mon fils, lorsque je l’ai dit à la serveuse, elle m’a dit well extra proteins….

Of you would like to have dinner somewhere where it is quiet enough so you can actually have a conversation at the table while enjoying decent food and bring yoir own wine, then this is the place for you.

It looks really nice the place, we had a reservation and looks like they didn't know where to put us, and while we ordered to a waitress something (a good waitress), the one to serve, served wrong or forget us, plus apparently they close the ac where we were sit and food was ok

Enjoyed butterfly shrimp platter, good portion and value, plus bring your own wine is nice.service excellent

Food was excellent. Service was somewhat slow but we were a very large group. Disappointed that this restaurant discriminates against the unvaccinated.

The quality of the food has significantly gone down. I wonder if the cook actually tastes the food before sending it out? The rice was salty. The potatoes were bland. The salmon had a bitter taste. The shrimps had a plastic taste. The waiter manipulated the bread with his hands instead of tongs or wearing gloves. The restaurant is nicely renovated but the bathroom was disgusting.

The food is quite simple but savory. It is a bit pricier than the Duluth express but the portions are really huge. A good place to go with the family where you can either get fish or chicken. I just would love to see a bit more variety especially for the fish meals.

Great to get back to some old favorites. Service was fast and friendly. Lamb chop special was excellent. Can't wait to return

Precisely, man who serve the water only, he was great! But the man (he looked like around 50-60s) was very unprofessional and discriminatory that made our dinner less enjoyable! I gave 2stars; one for the foods, one for the server who served water! And old man deducted 2 stars, Restaurant poor hygiene deduct 1 star!

PS, please work on hygiene! Sink in the washroom was so dirty and our plates were not clean enough to be used!

We used to frequent this restaurant when we were living in Montreal's West Island. We went back recently and we were quite disappointed. The salad had lettuce leaves that had not been washed properly and you could feel the grit when chewing. We didn't complain nor ask for a refund or a discount. We very politely explained the situation as constructive criticism. The response was disbelief and denial. We politely continued to explain that we wanted to warn them in case someone actually complained to a food inspector. The owner apparently was consulted and said he washed the salad himself and there was nothing wrong. This in my opinion is BAD customer service. We will never go back to this location. We do continue to frequent the Laval Vieux Duluth where the service is always impeccable.

The food here is poor. Both of our meals were overcooked, under seasoned, and bland. We got the salmon and the souvlaki. The salmon tasted like it was frozen or just old. The sides were uninspired and tasteless. The service was average and the wait for food was also average. I would not return to this establishment to eat, and would not recommend it to anyone.

Very good establishment with great interior design and large portions. The food is generally good but the filet mignon i recently had there was a bit over cooked. Great service

Terrible service, food not good enough to feed my dog. I feel it is my duty to inform the public about coming here. It's that awful. We had our server actually say to us, "I'm about to serve a group so make it quick". My chicken was served to me raw. It was just an overall terrible experience. How this restaurant is still in business is beyond me. What I don't get is how Vieux Duluth counter services in malls can do a better job than a full serviced kitchen and staff. The owner and manager should seriously rethink things. They should be embarassed actually.

Bathroom sinks (both men's an women's) look as if they'd never seen a cleaning product, or elbow grease. Quite off-putting.

We absolutely loved our experience hosting our 70 person engagement party at this location. The service was impeccable, everyone ate in a timely manner and the food was hot and delicious for all. Our guests had a lovely evening. The owner is extremely helpful and accomodating and we never felt rushed! I highly recommend for any group event and I send my thanks once again to the wonderful staff!

We visited Au Vieux Duluth this past Saturday.we ordered the filet mignon and shrimps and the shrimp dinner both were very good and the filet mignon cooked perfectly. Shrimps were done well and not overcooked. Overall the food was good and exceeded out expectations for a chain restaurant. We ordered for an appetizer the escargot which also was good but not enough garlic for our tastes but other than this aspect very good and tender. The atmosphere is good and seating is comfortable but if you are not in a booth it would be cramped and tables close together. Good value for the price and our server was very attentive and was bilingual no language problems as mentioned in other reviews. Overall quality of the food was good for the price.

Les toilettes des dames étaient très sales.les scampis très petits service très bien.un bon entretien dans la place serait bien ça sent le renfermer.les 2 dernières fois passer à ce restaurant j'avais constaté la même chose alors cette fois-ci j'apporte mes commentaires. J'ai pris quelques photos.

Nice place for my wife and I to eat bring your own wine of course the best thing is they are literally across the street from an all-night Liquor Commission so wine is easy to get if you forget it Saint Johns Road next to McDonalds

Je vais souvent mais depuis une coupe de fois la salade est trop préparer d avance dons elle est pas croustillants et mon poulet était pas trop cuit donc je ne retourne plus à ce RESTO

A small chain of restaurants found in the greater Montreal area. They provide the typical Americanized Greek fair found at similar restaurants. The food is well prepared and the portions are reasonable. On this particular Tuesday I had lunch with 3 other colleagues which was less than 100$ all in. The service was good and the waiter was very accommodating in regards to special requests. The restaurant was not particularly busy and the seating was comfortable making it an ideal place for a business lunch.

Service lent. Bouffe ordinaire. Biscuits soda rancis. Soupe diluée. Pain froid au centre. Bref.pas extra.

It's OK. I found it a tad more expensive than Casa Greque, and the service is a little slow. I liked the chicken brochette, but the potatoes and rice were bland.

Worse food and experience ever. How can you even call this greasy Costco ingredients Greek food. We went here for lunch. Their menu prices are really expensive. For $13 you get 3 potatoes, rice, Romain leaves and 6 oz of chicken. No sauce. No Taziki or anything. “Greek salad” come as a bowl of Romain with 2 large slices of tomatoes, a slice of cucumber and 2 slices of feta. Are you kidding me. There was a hair in our salad so we sent it back. No apologies, no concession. We left no tip and when we were leaving the server said “wow”. Rude service, bad food and expensive.
