Auberge les Bons Matins

In this hotel they steal cars in their own parking lot and on top of that they don't even pay attention to you, both the owner and the people at the reception are shameful since they have a very strange attitude and there are no cameras in the parking lot either.

My husband and I stayed at Auberge les Bons Matins June 3-6,2023, and it was the most delightful stay. We had a comfort suite located in the basement of one of the houses, and it was beautifully decorated, very roomy, and quiet. The daily breakfast was hearty and delicious, and my poached eggs were cooked to perfection each time. The B&B is directly down the street from the Lucien-L'Allier metro stop, which is so convenient, and it was a short walk to quality restaurants and museums. They do offer parking, but we did not use it since Montreal has such great public transportation options. I appreciate that they were able to accommodate our late check-in, too. I highly recommend Auberge les Bons Matins for anyone who wants a clean and comfortable stay in Montreal. Be sure to book directly with them for the best prices!

We were 3 people and had a family suite from 26.05.booked until 05/31/2023. Upon arrival we were greeted by the receptionist on the sidewalk and given the key to the 1st floor room. We then had to lug our luggage up 20 steps to the reception level without additional assistance and then another 20 steps to the 1st floor room. The suite consisted of 3 rooms, a bedroom with a king-size bed, a living room with a single bed, a table with four armchairs, a pull-out sofa bed and a fireplace (which can no longer be heated) and a large bathroom. The three rooms could be closed with sliding doors, whereby the sliding door between the bedroom and the living room was defective and could not be closed. This defective sliding door was not repaired during our stay despite complaints. There were no closets in the rooms, we could only hang some of our clothes on open wardrobe rods. The windows in the room hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom consisted of a huge bathtub (which we didn't use), a shower, a sink and a toilet. The shower hose in the shower was unfortunately very leaky and the small sink in the toilet was clogged. Both were not fixed despite complaints during our stay. The toilet clogged very easily. Unfortunately, what bothered us the most was the centrally controlled air conditioning system, which turned on at regular intervals during the night, was loud and blew an uncomfortably cold blow on you while sleeping in bed. The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of a railway line. At night you don't hear any trains, but in the morning the loud shunting work begins. The breakfast was adequate for a three star hotel.

I have absolutely no negatives to share about this property. We loved every last thing about it! The check in process was quick and easy, with easy to follow instructions to the parking lot (which we never actually used, because street parking was so plentiful)! The room was pristine, and very aesthetically pleasing. The area was so quiet, we could barely hear anything going on outside. The community pantry was well stocked, and coffee anytime was great! We loved this place, as well as Montreal, and hope to return again soon!

Seul mini problème: on entend les bruits puisque ce sont de vieux bâtiments. Bouchons peuvent être pratiques.

I don't think anyone is actually running this place. There's nobody at the front desk (ever) and nobody answers the phone. They obviously just want your money and don't actually want to perform a service whatsoever. Unfortunately, like many things in Montréal, what could be a wonderful experience is reduced to a cash grab. Go elsewhere.

Super auberge, les logements sont bien aménagés et propres! Les petits déjeuners sont incroyables et les serveuses aussi!

This inn lives up to the pictures it has online. Our room was so uniquely decorated and the staff were all very kind. Everyone was fully bilingual. It was a 4 minute walk to the bell centre and breakfast was great every day.
