Heed my words when I say that the Auberge Saint-Antoine is the best hotel in Quebec city. The hotel is a MUST if you're traveling to Quebec City looking for a more intimate getaway.

The strong points to the Auberge Saint-Antoine are its service and culture:

The building has history and shows it throughout the hotel in a way more engaging and fascinating than many museums I've been to.

The service is on another level. I've never received a concierge service as personalized as with the Auberge Saint-Antoine. Needs were predicted, requests fulfilled above and beyond, and the entirety of our stay felt curated by these magical hands behind the scenes.

Past those two outstanding points, I'd also have to argue that the rooms might be some of the best rooms in the city (ESPECIALLY when taking into account value). The rooms felt artful, yet cozy and modern.

I've stayed in specialty rooms at the other, more famous hotel in Quebec City (I'm sure you know the one I'm referencing) and I can confidently say I preferred my stay here in almost every aspect.

A must stay when visiting Old Quebec! The staff are extremely kind, provide such excellent service and go out of their way to ensure you have a nice time. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. There’s also a great gym, accessible 24/7. The best location!

Stayed for a weekend and looking forward to our next trip. The valet service is amazing, they offer complimentary charging for electric vehicles and they are very professional. Every staff member was pleasant and cheerful. We also took advantage of eating at both Chez Muffy and Bar Artefact. Both amazing restaurants with great food. Truly an amazing hotel with a lot of personal touches and kindness. I am at a lack of words of how great our experience was!

This was a most wonderful experience that left nothing to be desired. The room was beautiful; the staff were cordial, professional and helpful. Our dogs were warmly welcomed, as were we. C'était un excellent séjour. La chambre était parfaite jusque dans ses moindres détails. Le personnel de l'hôtel était accueillant et sympa. C'était un vrai plaisir et un privilège de passer deux nuitées ici. Merci beaucoup de votre chaleureux accueil, de la part de nous deux et nos deux chiens.

A beautiful hotel and museum in the heart of old Quebec with a view of the St. Lawrence River.

The hotel staff were welcoming and provided excellent, professional service during our entire stay.

We were able to easily walk throughout old Quebec and were within 10-15mins of driving to all the nearby attractions.

The breakfast and food available at the hotels two restaurants, Bar Artifact and Chez Muffy was great.

The hotel is decorated with artifacts and museum pieces from Quebec's history and was the perfect backdrop to set the tone for exploring a city with a rich history.

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit this property again in early December. From the moment you pull up to the front entrance to the minute you leave the staff attends to your every need and makes you feel special. The entire property and the rooms are well-appointed, very comfortable and clean. The valet, front desk staff and concierges couldn't be more accommodating and friendly. The food and beverage was amazing including the restaurant and the lobby lounge. And the area is so festive and charming. Can't wait till our next visit!

Are you looking for the perfect place for a destination wedding? We were. Of course, everyone wants a place having beautiful scenery, a romantic setting, a tourist-friendly environment, and a convenient location for the guests to attend. If you live in North America, the city of Québec is just the place. It is beautifully situated, on a bluff overlooking the St. Lawrence River, with a unique culture and history, and is easily accessible, with an economy built upon tourism. Québec’s Old Town, in its architecture, is reminiscent of a European city and is wonderfully decorated, while completely lacking the crime and urban blight of most American cities.
Our next goal was to find the ideal venue for a wedding with 60-80 out-of-town guests. After some on-line research, we chose the Auberge Saint-Antoine, conveniently located in Lower Old Town close to most of the attractions of the city. What a superb choice it was! On a scouting trip several months before, we explored the environs, examined the facilities, met with the staff, and experienced first-hand the hospitality that we and our guests would come to enjoy. Because all of our guests were travelers like us, we arranged activities around the wedding date to maximize their experience. In this we were indispensably aided by the concierge staff of the Auberge, in particular Audrey, with whom we communicated extensively to formulate and accomplish our pre- and post-wedding plans.
For the wedding itself, we relied on Ophélie, who did an amazing job of guiding us through the maze of preparations for our special day. And what a tremendous day it was! We chose early September, and the weather gods did not disappoint. And neither did the Auberge. Everything came together beautifully, from the ceremony, the cocktail hour, the banquet, to the dancing. The food and beverage menu provided by the Auberge’s restaurant, Chez Muffy, was exceptional, from the creatively delicious hors d’oeuvres and banquet courses to their refined selection of fine wines, all skillfully and attentively served by the staff. The celebration and banquet rooms were perfectly sized for our group and provided the intimate ambiance we desired, and all program transitions during the evening were seamlessly arranged by the staff. We could not have been more pleased by the outcome, and feel certain that this view was shared by every one of our guests, particularly those who chose to stay at the Auberge and enjoy the unparalleled hospitality offered there. It was so much fun for us we wish we could do it all over again!

The photographer Myriam Quenneville was amazing and I felt like we were with a friend for the day (and was kind enough to be one of our witnesses). Myriam took the time to get to know us through face timing with us ahead our wedding day. She paid careful attention to details and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The previews of the photographs took my breath away and tears to my eyes. Myriam is so talented, I highly recommend her for any photos. Myriam went far and beyond our expectations!
The florist Elysee Fluers Vincent, did a beautiful bouquet and it was even more than I had hoped for. He truly listened to me and what I had envisioned and stayed beautiful even after photos outside. I will treasure the photos of my flowers.
Louis LaFrance the officiant did a lovely job of our service that was very personalized to us.
The valet service is exceptional. Louie was so friendly and helpful, he made us feel truly welcome.

Wonderful staff. Beautiful rooms. Good location if you want a place in the lower old town, it was in the water 300 yrs ago. You will have a fair amount of up (and down) walking.

We loved our stay at St Antoine. The hotel is really cool and cozy. The rooms are clean and the staff is knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend this stay to other travelers. The bath tub was a highlight, so warm and relaxing after being out in the Christmas Market.

A series of too few hits and too many misses. Far from good enough to justify the price, despite a great location right in the old city.
- Staff: Valet staff are great, friendly and welcoming. Front desk staff not so much. Restaurant staff even less eg when in a narrow space, generally staff let guest go first. Not here, multiple times they did not even let my spouse through who had a medical walking boot clearly visible.
- Rooms: Well decorated, comfortable linens and bed, but then the couch is not usable as it's simply not comfortable. Housekeeping left used face clothes on the floor in the shower. Significant noise through midnight due to wedding even though we were on fourth floor. Even the simple things let the hotel down. Asked for a razor; got a razor with no lubricating strip that didn't even last a full shave. Internet and TV service was spotty (kept dropping/freezing for no reason).
Food: Breakfast: good but not great. Croque monsieur rich with duck, but cheese tasteless, lacked sauce and needed something more acidic to cut through the richness. Similar for the lemon waffle - sauce was delicious but not enough of it, and the already soft waffle was made softer by having the sauce over much of it. Dinner was far worse: squash gnocchi was definitely not gnocchi, more a heavy, tasteless potato croquette, warm amuse inexplicably included half a cold quail egg, oysters were delicious but totally overpowered by leek and potatoes, plums in vinegar was too acidic, and was twice served stale bread.
- While the restaurant manager was very accommodating in listening to my feedback, I was promised that the general manager would contact me due to our experiences. I held off a week in originally posting wanting to give the hotel a chance. I then posted and rated one star reflecting that management was disinterested in feedback. However, now, almost two weeks later, I have heard back from the GM offering a complimentary one night stay with breakfast. I've no idea if/when we will use it, but feel the response, even though less than satisfactory, warrants placing a second star back

Bel hôtel membre de Relais et Chateaux mais quelques points à améliorer: les chambres sont faites entre 10 am et 6 pm c'est ainsi qu'étant parti le matin à 10 am et de retour à 3 pm ma chambre n'était pas faite, en appelant la réception les choses se sont arrangées. Pat ailleurs pour le petit-déjeuner vous devez réserver la veille une table et un horaire depuis le temps que je voyage cela ne m'était jamais arrivé. A revoir.

Wow! What a fantastic hotel experience. I had never been to Quebec City and it was hard to decide between this hotel and the other more popular hotel at the top of the hill and I absolutely made the right choice! This hotel is elegant, peaceful and so comfortable. The valet Louis was incredible, he greeted us when we arrived and helped us each morning when we started our day. He is absolutely the #1 shining star employee at this hotel — his customers service and demeanor is top-notch and he made our stay memorable.

The rooms are clean and well maintained. And maid service was quick and through.

The hotel is walking distance to most everything or a quick cab ride away (which the hotel can arrange for you)

If I ever go back to Quebec City, I would want to stay here again - if you are reading this because you are unsure which hotel to book, like I was when I started planning my vacation… this is the one you want- book this one ~ it’s exceptional!

C’est dommage que cet endroit charmant ne propose pas de services à la hauteur de son standing. Le bruit tôt le matin et la légère odeur de tabac froid dans la chambre pourraient être mis sous le compte de la malchance. Mais les chemises qui reviennent du service pressing en boule, non repassées, puis qu’on vous explique que l’hôtel n’offre pas de repassage mais qu’un fer et une planche sont disponibles dans les chambres n’est pas digne d’un service Relais & Châteaux.

Le personnel est vraiment très agréable, même pour des gens de classe moyenne on ne s'est pas senti mal à l'aise par tant de luxe, merci. Particulièrement apprécié la personne au chek in, ainsi que le voiturier. Par contre même si la propreté été impeccable à notre arrivée, le nettoyage et ré-achallandage quotidien était très moyen. (Manque de serviette, pas de remplissage des carafes d'eau, pas d'approvisionnement en capsule café, et enfin le service est fait même quand on clique sur la touche 'ne pas deranger'.)

Good, not great hotel. Certainly not a true luxury hotel insofar as the lack of attention to detail and refinement. Most of the staff are very polished, friendly and competent. The housekeeping staff need some intense training on the basics. Nevertheless, it's well-located, has a great gym and breakfast.
