Had an amazing time at the auberge, it was my first time staying in one and it was a great first experience. The activities are fun and the staff is super friendly, super nice, Trevor and Lucie especially.
Will definitely be coming again

Pros: One of the nicer hotel and hostel in Downtown Montréal. The location central is approximately 5 minutes away from the puplic transportation of Montréal. Staff is friendly and helpful also available 24 hours. Hotel style is nice and modern the building includes 3 floors with basement. There's many facilities available such as open chicken, laundry, dining and setting area l, bar, gaming area and two working space rooms. There's a brarekfast included the rate of each booking. There's dorm rooms for men and wemon spiritly also rooms and bathrooms is always clean. The cost of accommodation is good for the quality and facilities. Overall rating is 07/10.

Cons: Breakfast varieties is very limited. There's no elevator and the high iron stairs are difficult to use. Some facilities, such as iron and hairdryer, aren't available in the rooms and can be rented when used! Cash payment is not available for accommodation، online payment only. There's no ventilation in the rooms, such as opening the room window. Otherwise can't complain.

I am a solo traveller for this trip, the trip had been the purpose for a KISS concert at the centre bell arena. The location for this hostel was fantastic as it was close by to the arena and very close to downtown too all within a 15 minute walk. The staff had been very friendly and had allowed myself to stay in whilst it had been raining outside but not check in until the check in time. The breakfast had a large selection of food and a limited selection of drinks but plenty enough. The hostel had been very clean, the bathroom/washroom had been in the same room as myself however a door had separated us to another room of beds. The rooms had been fantastic unfortunately some of the roommates had been a little noisy and for myself working in the health and social sector, I had been awake. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Well done all.

Superbe auberge, moderne, propre et décorée avec goût pour toute sorte de séjour, on ne manque de rien.
Elle est aussi calme et bien placée (métro à proximité) avec un personnel très sympathique!
Le pdj est varié et gourmand

Honestly don’t have too much complain about this hostel.major pro 1: the bed has real comforter with sheets attached (it’s not like they give you new sheets but the sheets and the comforter get completely separate when you sleep). This improved my sleep quality so much.major pro 2: extremely co-working friendly (you can even book a room, and have multiple rooms throughout the building)

pros: excellent service, very well functioning kitchen (a lot of supplies), good social vibes, very good location - close to downtown high rises, big w suite bathroom

areas of improvements: the curtains don’t not fully cover / enclose each bed; the room does not have a mini fridge.but again this would be going the extra mile.

Loved this Hostel! Such nice and friendly staff. I was only here for a night so I wasn't able to participate in their excursions but I will be back! It is super close to the train station and Metro, making travel easy!

Worst hotel. Customer service is horrible you have to connect your phone to Chromecast to watch tv and you don't have the best view. They also have bunk beds in one of the rooms that are mostly for 8 year old bedroom

Emplacement parfait, service au top et chambre très propres, les lits grincent un peu par contre, donc demandez des boules quies pour plus de confort.

Just barely ok for 1 night stay, wouldn’t recommend unless budget-strapped.

Pros:
- location is very good, close to the metro, close to st catherine st, very close to the airport bus stops too
- they store your luggage if you arrive earlier than checkin time or would like to store it after checkout
- washing machine available (I haven’t used it but nice option)
- wifi was good
- free breakfast, it’s bare minimum but it’s nice to have the option
- one free towel provided

Cons:
- the dorm beds don’t have curtains so there is no privacy. I was pretty bothered when I was woken up and asked by a total stranger which country i am from when i was half asleep w my headphones on + the same Malaysian girl kept her bed light on until 2AM AND kept making noise w her shopping bags and bags zipping and unzipping, kept using the bathroom throughout the night. The girl sleeping on the upper bed of my bunk bed finally asked the Malay girl to turn off light as it’s disrespectful to other guests. Needless to say, w the light on and the constant noise of zippers, doors banging, phone txting noise, I did not sleep at all.
- there is only 1 ensuite bathroom in the room with 10 beds. If you are on a hurry or have a tight itinerary, you need to get up earlier
- the lockers in the room are TINY. I was able to fit my large north face fuse box backpack and that was it
- the lockers don’t come with locks so you need to bring your own or buy from the front desk
- you have to do your own dishes yet they don’t provide you with gloves. The hostels in Boston, Osaka, Sydney don’t ask that you wash the dishes yourself. It’s a bit annoying.
- front desk didn’t ask how my stay was when i checked out, which is a pretty common practice in the hospitality industry. Obviously they don’t care.
- the bunk beds aren’t tall. If you get the lower bed which i did, you can’t sit on your bed (i’m 5’6)

We stayed in a double bedroom at this hostel for 4 nights and had our phone stolen on our last day after we forgot it in the charger. We put the sign for housecleaning so presumably it was taken during that time. When we came back, our phone was missing from the charger and we alerted the staff who denied anything happening and instead kept implying that we must have lost it on our trip outside or gotten pickpocketed. Which was highly unlikely since the streets were pretty empty early in the morning and we were at a park with very wide trails. It's also impossible to have a phone stolen from your pockets when you don't even have it with you. The managers kept reassuring us that it wasn't their staff and kept emphasizing how something like this hasn't happened at their hostel before, so it seemed like they were very unwilling to get to the root cause of this situation. The staff kept telling us that the manager would speak with us again after our initial conversation before we checked out, but even after speaking to them and reaching out multiple times to the front desk, he didn't come to speak to us before we checked out.

From what we understood, most likely either someone from the housekeeping staff took our phone or they didn't completely lock our door and someone else came in and swiped our phone. All in all, we'd advise anyone coming here to carefully watch their belongings, especially when their rooms are being cleaned. We ended up losing a lot of time on our last day trying to find our phone and report it missing, so it isn't the best memory to have of a vacation and we don't want other people going through this and losing their valuable belongings during vacation.

In terms of other aspects, we were provided with dirty bath towels that had yellow streaks them on them during our stay. Not sure why housekeeping thought this was appropriate or clean enough to provide guests with. In the kitchen as well, hot water was sometimes provided at the front by some of the staff. However, when we asked other staff that were at the commonplace downstairs for hot water to make tea, they would direct us to use the boilers in the kitchen but both of them were very dirty so we ended up buying tea outside rather than making it and risking some sort of illness.

Everything was really good.
Breakfast for free (bagels, oat bowls, fruit and coffee) the kitchen was super well equipped too.
There are a few office rooms if you want to work too and you can reserve it for more privacy which is cool.
Staff was friendly and professional (I saw them helping other travelers very often for a while).

Location was awesome just a few meters from the subway and it's just beside the downtown and Centre Bell Center which was awesome.

The only thing that could be better was the bathroom locations sometimes we had to go downstairs because the bathroom in our room was occupied and people took a while

Literally amazing. The staff here are so friendly, eat room has its own bathroom. Additionally, there are spaces downstairs where you can cook and clean your dishes. A bar is available. Washer available. Coworking space on every floor. Everything is here you need. I want to emphasize amazing and incredible staff.

During 6 days Saintlo did not change the towels and I had to ask for a broom to sweep the room since they only changed the sheets but they did not clean. Horrible experience. People can enter the room without schedule, so the door opens all night. The beds make a lot of noise. Breakfast regular and sometimes the bred is hard. There isn’t a place for a rest

Good location and friendly staff. However, having spent Friday night in the 6-bed female dorm, I wouldn't recommend this hostel. First, the facilities are in need of serious maintenance - the bunk beds creak with every movement, the shower floor is cracked, and the lockers are very loud. The shower is also in the room itself, which means you'll be very restricted if you arrive in the evening and your roommates are early sleepers. More seriously, 3 of the individuals in my room had a strong cough and proceeded to cough all night without wearing a mask or in any way attempting to limit the spread of their germs. It was late at night and I was stuck there, but it was the most uncomfortable sleep I've had in a long time. I'm going to take a COVID test soon and hoping I didn't catch anything while there.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. I was in the mixed 10 bed room, and it had a dedicated bathroom which was always kept very clean and well stocked. There are spacious common areas as well as a room for work, a kitchen, and a bar! The wifi signal was also very strong and reliable. In a good location for downtown, access to the airport shuttle, and metro.

Auberge de jeunesse très bien situé, a moins de 5 minutes des transports en commun.

Auberge conviviale, très bien située.on est au calme tout en étant au centre de Montréal. Le petit déjeuner gratuit est un vrai plus. Le personnel est très chaleureux!

Everything is close. Downtown, Chinese Restaurants & Centre Bell-concert: DADDY YANKEE. Best weekend EVER!

Montreal is one of the cities that can be pricey for hotels. I was traveling aline and didn't want to book hotel in downtown for $250. My only alternative hotel option was to book a motel for $150 somewhere on the outskirts. In that case I would be taking buses for an hour to get to the city centre and possibly pay for a cab late at night to come back. I've decided to book at a Sainmilo hostel. I paid $66 for a 10 bed room. In reality the unit consisted of two rooms with 4 and 6 bunk beds. Hostel is centrally located and if you are traveling alone, young, and want to save is definitely the best deal. The breakfast is also included. I mean it's a hostel, so you have a place to sleep and nothing else. I was ok woth this arrangement. My only concern is that during covid I am not sure if it's completely safe. It's a decision you have to make.

Impeccable! Personnel sympa et serviable (malgré mon arrivée en plein milieu de la nuit), chambre et SdB propres et fonctionnelles, petit dej dans une chouette ambiance, prix raisonnable. À recommander:)

Très sympa, je suis resté sur 4 étoiles parce qu'un seul toilette et qu'une seule douche pour des chambres de 10 c'est très limite.

La meilleur auberge que j'ai fait jusqu'a présente. J'ai fait de super rencontre la bas, il y a une super ambiance.
Beaucoup de PVTist qui arrive, donc il y a une très bonne communauté.

One of the best hostels I've had the good fortune of staying in, tremendous location in the heart of downtown yet somehow maintains a a homey atmosphere. Ultra friendly staff care about the experience if their guests which diffuses into every aspect of the place from the laundry room to evening activities. Tasty breakfast & quiet rooms on 2 floors which many similar establishments don't offer - enjoy with gusto! There can be commotion late at night in the dorm style rooms from people going in and out, but this is to be expected.c'est la vie. Tout dit, une expérience sans parallèle; 10/10 fortement récommandé. Merci et au suivant

Super cute place! Stayed in a twin room (bunk bed) for 1 night, and even though the hostel was fully booked it was very nice and quiet. Friendly staff, pretty decor, and although this is more of a personal preference I loved that the rooms were on the cooler side, and found the bed/bedding quite comfy. Would for sure stay here again if I’m in town!

Belle auberge de jeunesse et bien située. Les employés sont sympathiques. Tout est simple à cet endroit. C'est réconfortant et on se sent à l'aise. Je recommande chaudement!
