Great place, try the fish and chips and the charcuterie platter. Cheeses are also good. Onion soup is good.

Je me suis mariée récemment au Willow Inn. Tout était parfait! La nourriture était extraordinaire, le service était exceptionnel, et bien sûr le lieu est magnifique. Nous avons vraiment eu une journée fantastique grâce à l’équipe du Willow Inn. Merci encore!

I had high expectations for this place and was disappointed unfortunately. Especially given the price. The food was bland and lacking in flavor. The service was really good I will say that. Oysters were tasty as for the rest, not worth it. Will not go back

Sometimes the food at Willows Inn is great, other times it's just mediocre. But you know what? This place has charm that makes up for it! The staff is helpful and always ready to make your dining experience memorable.

Les deux étoiles sont pour le staff et le lieu qui est magnifique. Dommage qu'ils ne prennent pas le temps de lire les commentaires des gens, car je serais retournée plusieurs fois, mais la nourriture est atroce. Comment est-ce un chef "renommé" qui est derrière ce menu, un amateur pourrait faire mieux. Le tartare de boeuf est fade et trempé dans de l'huile d'olive, le pain nous a été servis noir et brûlé, la salade de concombre était sans goût, le hamburger est une vraie joke. La viande était rouge! Et le steak frites à 42$. Je suis sans mots. Le menu n'est pas digne d'un chef, mais plutôt d'un ado de 15 ans. Le service, par contre, est hors-pair

I do not dine out too often but when I do it, I like to go to a restaurant as Willow Inn.
Even that I found the food was too salty and alover did not wow me, I find is beaing a good place for improvment I still recomand it.

A great dish start with great ingredients.
They chose local farms and by chance farms that I know for more 10 years, both having very good quality products.

I notice also the wine is organic.
I like this a lot. Local and clean ingredints are the base of a great dish.

I will revisit.

After today dinner I will increase from 4 to 5 stars. Great food. Beutiful correlation of flavors.

Nous nous sommes mariés là en juillet 2022.
Nous avons soupé au resto la veille du mariage. C'était bien! Mais le souper de mariage. SENSATIONNEL! Le mariage est passé depuis 2 mois et mes amies me parlent encore du souper! C'était vraiment délicieux et la cheffe de cuisine s'occupant du souper de mariage était vraiment gentille et attentionnée. Nous avons aussi fait un brunch de groupe au resto le lendemain, qui était excellent. C'est aussi le Willow qui a fait notre magnifique pièce montée en fromage! (voir photo) La wedding planner Julie est aussi très efficace et minutieuse. Elle n'oublie pas un détail. Et les lieux sont simplement sublimes. Ce fut une journée extraordinaire! Merci à l'équipe du Willow:)

Stayed at the Inn for two nights and got a chance have lunch and dinner at the restaurant. The hospitality, service and the food was excellent. Big thanks to all of the staff for the wonderful experience (especially lovely Julie who offered me and my friend a ride back home, to Montreal, in the middle of a snow storm <3)

I do not recommend. Frighteningly expensive for uninspired cuisine, merely adequate service, and all the ambiance of an old folks' home.

I have been 3 times in the last year and am already looking forward to going back. The atmosphere is warm but current, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the food is excellent every time. I love the seasonal changes to the menu and the cocktails are always on par. I have recommended this restaurant to several friends and they have loved it as much as I have.

I booked the Willows Inn for my 33rd wedding anniversary tonight, and I was thoroughly disappointed from the moment I walked in, until the moment that I walked out. I had booked the dining room because of how lovely it is; only to find out that it is now used exclusively for events. So, we ended up in the pub for dinner. I almost walked out. Had I know this, I would not have booked such a monumental event. Who stays married for 33 years right? I was looking for a special place like The Willows to celebrate the event. Anywho, we were seated by a lovely young lady and we also had an endearing young waiter who claimed his name was "Dallas. " Not sure that was his actual name, but whatever. Well, it took "Dallas" forever to get us our cocktails, wine and food. And "Dallas" also didn't seem to know that ladies are to be served first. Please know that he had a lovely personality and was trying his best, but "Dallas" has a lot to learn. On a positive note, my husband made out like a bandit and ordered oysters and a cornish hen meal that he was very satisfied with. I on the other hand ordered the lobster tail that was half a lobster tail. I also ordered a homemade pasta dish that was quite tasty, but insofar as the quantity it may have satisfied only a small bird. The wine that was suggested by "Dallas" was truly outstanding and we did enjoy it. I was so hungry by the end of the meal and was actually looking forward to a dessert offering. But "Dallas" did not offer us dessert. Instead, he brought us our bill. If you were to ask me if I would return to the Willows Inn for dinner, I would say a hard no. Of course nobody cares today about what the consumer has to say so I don't think anything is going to change here. But whatever. I am just so very disappointed in this evening that I was so very much looking forward to. Thanks for ruining my 33rd wedding anniversary Willows Inn establishment.

Very good service, she really knows her dishes. We came for our anniversary with me and my boyfriend.

We took le choix du chef which is 125$ per person (if you choose that option, the other person has to have it as well). I was hesitant but I gave it a shot. Kind of oily for my taste, and too pricy for what was given. There was 4 service and dessert.

The location is very nice and the staff is courteous. The food did not meet our expectations at all, it was glorified pub food. Don't get me wrong, pub food can be very good and the reputation and the prices The Willow Inn is charging the expectations were somewhat higher but were not met. The oysters to start were excellent, the slices of cold cut and bread were average at best. The request for the burger to be cooked to medium or medium well was refused. We were told hey had to be served medium rare. In the end the burgers were not served consistently medium rare. The pork chop was very dry. I think the people in the group who ordered the Fish N Chips were satisfied. The vegetarian option on the menu for the group was removed.

Merveilleux endroit! Vue de la terrasse exceptionnel. Accueil et service impeccable! Nourriture délicieuse! Vous pouvez même profiter du petit jardin après votre repas. Nous y sommes allées seulement pour le restaurant.
La raison pour laquelle je ne donne pas 5 étoiles est simplement le prix. Un peu cher, même si on s’y attend.

My fiancé and I were a little skeptical about the Willow Inn when it took over 20 mins to have a waitress greet us at our table.

Once we ordered and the food started coming it was absolutely fantastic. We ordered the croquettes, the steak to share, the fries as well as the baby potatoes with the salmon roe. The food was 100% worth the wait as well as the price.

Will definitely be revisiting.

Very disappointed with the overall experience. Went for lunch, and will not be going back anytime soon. Prices are absolutely rediculous for what you get. 34$ for a single lobster and shrimp roll served in a 0.10$ hot dog bun. Asked to substitute a salad for the fries, we’ll that’s 4$ more for a mini 4 bite salad that had no veggies just salad and dressing. Not at all worth the 38$ it was for my plate. Not impressed at all.

Had dinner on the patio for two. Beautiful August evening. Spectacular view of Lake of Two Mountains. It was the meal that was the prize. Everything was absolutely perfect. Including the outstanding service. The creations were like art on the plates. Everything was prepared and served perfectly. The tastes were outstanding. Already want to return to try some of the other menu choices. Rates beyond the 5 stars we are able to give. Michelin should visit this place. Its a jewel waiting to be discovered.

My wife and I just spent 2 nights at the Willow Inn. We were joined by 2 friends for dinner on the first night. We ate elsewhere the second evening, although we did have breakfast that day. The room itself was fine, with a lovely view of the water. I am assuming most people would not be spending much time in the room, other than sleeping. That said, if you need Wi-Fi, it is slow.

The grounds were fantastic, and it was nice to order a beer from the bar and enjoy it in an Adirondack chair overlooking the river.

The service at dinner was very good; attentive and knowledgeable. I would describe the food as competently prepared. Everything tasted good, but there wasn’t a “wow” factor, which I might have expected given the price. Two small pieces of feedback. I like beer and there were several really good small breweries in the vicinity of Hudson. What was on offer at the Inn was Guinness, Carlsberg, etc. There was a Willow Ale, but when I asked, I was told it was brewed by Sleeman. How about bringing something in from Cardinal Brewery, where we had lunch and enjoyed several kinds of beer.

The other feedback is breakfast. We both had the breakfast sandwich, which was tasty, but messy with the egg yolk and sauce oozing out of the bun. We had to eat it with a knife and fork. Probably not the best idea to serve it on a paper doily, on top of the plate.

Had a lovely meal on the terrace of Auberge, service good, food lovely, we'll definitely be back yet again!

I would have expected more a that price point. Menu was not anything special. Food was ok. Service was mediocre. Music was really not appropriate for the venu (90s rock in a nice restaurant? No thanks)

Came here for breakfast and really loved the outside patio with the views. Service was great. Do yourselves a favour and try the lobster rolls.
Waitress told us that we can grab drinks and walk along the waterfront which was a great option to have.

So I finally got in and will never come back. Found a hair fried in my fries and it just ruined my meal. Offered to pay my bar bill and my wife's meal but the untitled manager argued with me about it. Too bad because now I am here saying that they don't change the table cloths between services, dirty glasses and of course hair in the food. This place is a Shadow of the place it used to be. PLUS, the food is over priced for what you get so in the end it was over all the worst dining experience I have had in years.

I went to the Willow Inn and was disappointed. The service and staff were extremely nice but I found the food to be over priced for what it was. I had ordered the salmon but they should give it a new name salmon so thin you can slide it under a door. It almost required a magnifying glass to find it on your plate The salad had rotten leaves in it so a portion of it was inedible. I won't be rushing to go there any time soon. The administration keeps saying how they make quality their priority well someone has missed the mark on my meal. I don't mind paying for quality but this was lacking in both quality and quantity.

Expectations were high… the reality was sadly well below what we had hoped for. Prices are very high for the quality offered. Service is extremely slow. We waited a total of 11/2 hours before we got our meals. The ambiance music seemed to be on a loop and very loud which added the the noise already produced by the diners at other tables who struggled to hear each other. My fish main course was fine. The entrecôte for two was tough. All in all an experience we do not intend to repeat. The excellent Willows of the past is no more. Limited menu, loud noisy music and snail paced kitchen sums up our experience. My advice…don’t go!

This is our favourite place to eat & drink - the beautiful view is a bonus. Never disappoints, always delicious with great wine selection.

We were a group of 8 for the family style lunch. The food was amazing from oysters to lobster roll, etc. We all loved everything and will definitely be coming again. Highly recommended.

Underwhelming lunch. We ordered the lobster/shrimp/snow crab roll. I don’t mind paying for value but this was way overpriced. It consisted mostly of small shrimp. The fries were fine. The waiter/busboy came over to remove our plates while we were still eating.
Plates were again removed quickly just as we finished dessert. It made us think they were short of dishes in the kitchen!
Only 2 choices of white wine by the glass @$15.00 or $17: 00!
The view is very pretty but the food is very disappointing. Used to be a favourite of ours but doubt we will be back.

Déçus! C'est le premier mot qui nous est venu lorsque les plats ont été servis. Nous sommes de la région et étions des habitués avant la période Covid.
Désormais, le menu du midi s'affiche en "haut de gamme" avec des prix (vraiment) élevés pour les quantités. Les cuissons sont très bien exécutées et la qualité des produits est là, mais - qu'on se le dise - on parle en réalité d'un menu "pub": 5 choix de plats (dont 1 sandwich, 1 tarte à la tomate, 1 morue.) En parlant "morue". ATTENTION, ne vous faites pas surprendre comme je l'ai été. La morue est en réalité un "fish & chips". (ce n'est pas précisé sur le menu). Et malheureusement nos fritures et salades étaient vraiment trop salées.
Côté addition, c'est salé aussi: une facture à 100$ pour un simple lunch: 2 verres de vin, 2 plats.
On reviendra probablement prendre un verre en terrasse car la vue est sublime.

Went for a date night with the hubby at the restaurant (2nd time here). Delicious food! I had the swordfish, he had the St-Ignace quail. My fish was cooked just about right; the meatiness was there, not chewy at all. Hubby enjoyed the quail especially the cream of corn that went with the dish. Great combination on the plate. We also had the broccoli with lard, croutons, and padano cheese - lovely dish! Great flavours, cheese wasn't overpowering. We ordered Paris-brest for dessert and what a treat it was; classic hazelnut flavour with the right amount of crunchiness to it. Servers were attentive. Our table is always clean, water is served, and we were always being checked by our waitress. Great ambiance - the water view is a bonus. We'll be back for sure!

Can you get any better! Our waitress Arielle was beyond amazing and our little boy fell in love with her️ The food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. Very accommodating for children. We cannot wait to go back… also pls try the Mille feuille desert you will be so happy you did:)

Great restaurant, with a beautiful view. Chef Danny Smiles prepare an absolute delicious gastronomic experience. Definitely a restaurant to add on any foodie's bucket list.

The restaurant was amazing. Our server gave us the best service ever, and the chef even came to our table to greet us! Food was delicious, we got a variety of plates, and each plate had its own unique presentation. Overall wonderful experience, would definitely go back.

Good food, nice terrace! Still I miss the old Willow menu. New menu is fancier and more expensive but portions are miniscule. I am not one who thinks that more is better but when you get home and need to snack! No way to get a pitcher of sangria on the terrace! ; it's available by the glass only! Clearly intended to hike up the bill.

From the appetizer to the entrees and the main meal, it was delicious and well prepared. The service was excellent. The surroundings and the waterfront were beautiful. We had an amazing time.

We had a family lunch, it was great, the ambiance was beautiful. The food and desserts were simply amazing. Hats off the the chef (Danny) and his staff. Great!

If I had to describe my experience in one word, it would be "WOW". The food is just amazing and so fresh, I would go back any day to eat there and enjoy the terrasse. Our server Aly was wonderful, very attentive and super friendly and so was the hostess Ella. Thanks again for a great evening.

Totally loved dinner, food was intelligently prepared and delicious. Bravo to all the team. As far as the Inn goes.
Someone should be appointed to receive guests at the reception. Rooms are clean and interestingly designed though not very spacious. There's a lack of signature for the price.

Absolutely amazing patio lunch with panoramic view of Lac de Deux Montagnes! On our menu: Newfoundlands Cod, PEI oysters and French Rosé in a wonderful ambience and service!

Pleasant evening with great food. All the members of the staff were friendly and efficient. They take after the friendly Chef.

Chambre entièrement rénovée conservant un magnifique cachet. Très propre et confortable. Et que dire de la vue sur le Lac des Deux-Montagnes. Thumbs up au chef Danny Smiles et son équipe qui nous ont gâtés tout au long de notre séjour! Nous avons même eu droit au petit déjeuner dans le jardin!

I never leave public reviews but in this case, I must:

Chef Danny Smiles is a master at his craft and an absolutely brilliant chef.

Service was impeccable. Food maintains the standard of excellence Bremner had but with a much more beautiful backdrop. Highest of quality ingredients handled with finesse. You really can’t ask for more.

The menu is diverse in option and price range. You can enjoy the restaurant in a variety of ways.

You will feel like you’re on vacation in that environment.

Go support this absolutely incredible restaurant.

Place is empty and they won’t let us sit down. Over an hour before close and they turn us away. Hostess in incredibly rude, staff is indifferent. Do yourself a favour and save yourself the drive

Ma compagne et moi sommes allés dîner sur la terrasse du Willows le 22 juillet pour sa fête. Très déçus par le menu minimaliste qui comprenait entre autres 2 plats de tomates (sur 5 choix), 1 de poisson, 1 de fruits de mer et le dernier de porc, étant donné qu’elle ne mange ni poisson, ni crustacés, ce fut donc le porc.
Les légumes qui l’accompagnaient étaient bons mais la viande dure comme une semelle de botte. Pour $27, on aurait dû s’attendre à beaucoup mieux. Par contre, le plat ne fut pas chargé car elle n’y avait pratiquement pas touché.
Étants de la région depuis plus de 40 ans, pour nous le Willows étaient une institution respectée et nous avons toujours été satisfaits lors de nos visites.
Mais pas cette fois-ci. La gentille serveuse nous a renseignés que le menu change à chaque saison. Allons-nous retourner à l’automne? Certainement pas. De même que nous ne réfèrerons pas cet endroit au site enchanteur à quiconque. Du moins, pas pour le menu du dîner.

Had a lunch on the terrace which was freshly stained and smelled strongly of it. Oysters were amazing, as was the seafood roll and fries Service was mediocre.

For the price, expected a lot more. ($400.00) including 2 bottles wine
we were unable to buy a bottle of house wine (only sold by the glass)
Hope it's just an adjustment to a new chef.
Menu was limited.
Drinks were limited (no sangria)
Had Oysters, Tomato and bacon sandwich and a seafood roll and french fries.
Had to send back the beef tartare as it tasted strongly of vinegar.

I hope the pretentiousness lowers and the service and menu expand.
This place has potential!

This is the 2nd time I tried to have a seat and drink.arrived at 4pm was told no seating available, and the terasse was sold out at 5pm.there was no one there?

I enjoyed our seats and the view, service was good but.seafood rolls.more like hot dog buns were bland. Too much hype on the new chef. I was not impressed. Not many things on the menu and pricey for nothing

WOW WOW WOW! This place is AMAZING! Food = Wonderful, Location = Amazing, staff (including owners) = Exceptional! We live 2 minutes from it and had to wait 1 year to experience one of the best culinary experience ever. Can't find my words to describe how awesome this place is!
