Aux Vivres Westmount

Ok, the BLT is out of this world. Out. Of.
This. World. I could write 10,000 love poems about that damn thing. Oh, and the mango lassi is f’in hella good too (but due to anti-plastic regulations that are admittedly out of their control, it’s now only served in a paper coffee-cup kind’ve thing when ordered for take-out and it almost ruins the experience).

The rest of the food is consistently meh. Many sauces feel cheap, too creamy or too ketchup-y. And those dang potato wedges really need a glow-up.

I do like the place overall. I have a soft spot for its placement and ethos. I want every foodstuff here to be better but I’m always let down, especially given nothing comes close to that f’in godforsaken mind-blowing BLT.

As for service, it’s respectable, and I do like most of the staff (I’ve seen many over the years) and they segment as follows IMHO: many seem like complicated zillenials with fragile inner lives and sympathetic progressive values, a few look mildly scared or checked out, a couple seem cool and sassy, and one or maybe two have seemed bratty and self-involved. But, hell, people is people.

First time going to the Westmount location and lemme tell you I got in love with aux vivres all over again, great service, great food and a great time

The restaurant was wonderful! The service was top-notch. Our exceptional waitress gave us the impression that there was no place she'd rather be. The food was so tasty that even my picky kids claimed Aux Vivres as their new favorite restaurant! They're chili and tofu kid burger we're outstanding. The adults all got a dahl (lentil) soup with corn bread, (served with guacamole and vegan butter), the Mexican burrito platter and Mumbai bowl. Not a morsel was left on the plate! Needless to say, everyone enjoyed their meals. We also enjoyed tasting each other's food. Everything was scrumptious! The atmosphere was laid back and quite kid friendly. We will definitely be a loyal customer!

For me, OKONOMOYAKI was far from authentic. It was a completely different dish, but the taste was good.
I like the atmosphere.

Delicious pancakes on Sunday. I wonder how they make them so fluffy without any eggs. Service is good.

Vegetables werent the freshest. I have fresher in my fridge. The tempeh lacked some flavor with my buddha bowl. My kids shared the kids burger and the potato wedges were definitely day old and over cooked with a terrible taste. For a vegan place, I am dissapointed in the freshness and flavor point today. The waitresses were amazing, just maybe review who's behind the counter in the kitchen. I've worked in Golf courses and hotels as sous chef and was very shocked this came out of the kitchen. I had a lot to do today than complain about the food. For a vegan place where theres almost no cooking involved, the vegetables could have been fresher and the potato wedges could have been actually cooked same day, not day old, reheated, bland and funny tasting wedges. Please see to this. Otherwise your servers were A1

Absolutely hands down the best vegan food experience of my life.the oatmeal cookie is fresh and tasty.friendly service.

Please consider making baked sweet potato wedges, the once you have with regular potato are good but sweet potato is healthier and doesn’t spike blood sugar as regular potatoes.

We went to this restaurant for dinner the other night and it was a revelation! An all vegan menu with so many interesting fusion options l The corn bread was lovely as was the BLT wrap and the chilli! Everything was freshly prepared. The person who was serving us had a lovely, welcoming smile and was helpful and knew how to guide, first timers! The portions are decent sized. Alas, we didn't have any room left for desserts.
Will definitely keep going to this restaurant.

Great place to go to for lunch. The proportions were huge! I had to take the rest to go. The food was tasty and I liked the variety in their menu.

I've been eating and ordering takeouts here and it was good!

But the Dahl soup.for some reason it tasted like water. And Malai Kofta was so soft and hard to chew.

Some order came late.

The food is good but overpriced. If you order online and then pick up, they force you to pay a specific amount for a tip with your credit card. That's right, for pick up.

Really nice place with an eclectic menu. Service was very good. I remember the original on St-Dominique, 25 years ago, since gone. They are now a small chain here and there. It was my first time, I will return again.

Les plats sont délicieux et préparés très frais.les entrés comme les repas sont faciles à séparer.le service est impeccable excepté un petit bémol qui peut déranger une partie de la clientèle: l’approche du personnel est fréquemment en anglais, ce qui est compréhensible mis-en-contre de l’emplacement, mais tout compte fait, ceci peut déranger certains.une magnifique terrasse est disponible à l’extérieur l’été. L’espace intérieur est très spacieux et familier, j’y trouve familles, comme amis ou encore rencontres. à l’étage du bas se trouve un petit commerce où l’on peut se procurer une variété de produits véganes, dont les leurs! Un coup de cœur: les flocons de noix de cocos!

Pretty expensive $37.92 for two dry sandwiches which contained 70% salad. 35 minutes waiting time. When I opened my bag they forgot the sauce-was too far to return back to the restaurant.

I'm not vegan but I have to say that the food at this restaurant is amazing! And the service is great! The hamburger was delicious!

I'm not vegan but the food there is great. They're also celiac/gluten-free friendly, they mark which meals are safe on the menu.

I stopped to talk to someone who was eating on the terrace. He said it was delicious. It looked delicious. He said he would give it 5 stars.

Impossible d'avoir un simple jus d'orange ou de changer le lait de coco dans les smoothies pour du lait de soya. Ça veut dire que tout est préparé d'avance. On est loin de la fraîcheur annoncée!

Had an amazing dinner at Aux Vivres, Westmount.large menu and lots of delicious vegan desserts. Ordered an iced matcha and it was the best I've ever had. Definitely beats Starbucks.

Food was alright. But the service was a bit odd. Although both the servers were kind, there was something or the other missing…. What we call a human connection. They served the food but didn’t give us spoons, the waitress even ignored the instruction to give us a plate. Not coming again sorry, there are many other vegan restos who have a better service. I’ve been eating at Aux Vivres for many years (both at St-Laurent and in Westmount) and the food is always so good and fresh. It’s one of my go-to’s!

Absolutely hands down the best vegan food experience of my life. Not only was the restaurant beautiful to look at, but the food was so delicious and flavourful! Topped off with the finest hospitality service by our waitress Summer. The prices were very good for the large portions of food you get. The carrot cake recommended by Summer, I couldn't believe it was vegan! Moist, tender, spicy and not too sweet, a must-try. We had such an amazing experience and can't wait to go again! Thank you Summer!

This place is hands down my favourite restaurant so far in Montreal! I had the paratha for starters and I was amazed! The puffed Indian bread was so soft on the inside and flaky on the outside and the soup that came with it was so flavourful! We also had the Mumbai bowl and that made me consider being vegetarian! The tamarind and mint chutney with the chickpeas and rice ughhhh. If I could go there everyday I would- and the waitress (Summer) who served us was so warm and she carefully explained what the dishes consisted of and she literally made the whole experience 10x better. The BLT sandwich was great, I loved the cocunut flavoured bacon but it was a bit too sweet for me. The carrot and apple chocolate cake was really moist and rich. I was genuinely impressed! Ohh and the smoothies are amazinggg!

Was just perfect! The service and te food just perfect. We order the Okonomiyaki bowl and the Mumbai bowl. Both were delicious, good portions and very tasty. We love it.

Quality and service very good. Same quality as other location. Really appreciate the downstairs takeout section as well. Glad to have this nearby

I like this restaurant but to be honest I get bored with the same menu. It is the same dishes over and over again. I understand they want to keep things simple and consistent but it would be nice if they had seasonal additions and add some other interesting items.

It is a very special place with friendly staffs. I just hope they add more options in their menu for the future.

Aerial was really providing the best service I have ever seen in Montreal. She works from her heart. You really feel that you are at a special place.

Great vegan restaurant. Honestly, there was not many people there and the wait was a bit lengthy. Staff could have been more attentive and time-conscious.

What a wonderful treat it is to have this restaurant in Westmount. I love the BLT, it is great to have the option to take out, they have wonderful vegan products that anyone would love.

I don’t usually go for vegan spots, but this place changed my mind! Tried the “BLT” wrap, salad, and the tempeh tacos. It was a hit all around. Everything was super fresh presented nicely. The dragon sauce is addicting, I just want to add it to everything now! Wish there was one in Toronto.

Such “fresh” potatoes are so salty and wet. The whole food tasted so bad that they tried to cover it up with condiments.

My order was ready on time and I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the dishes I got. I definitely recommend the Aux Vivres Burger and the Mumbaï Bowl. The staff was very friendly and the menu is varied. Please go try this vegan restaurant, you won’t regret it!

Like seriously, overpriced, bad service, long waits, too cook what? Lettuce!

Nothing against Vegans or Vegitarians, but this is like Mandy's, taking pure advantage of people.

Also this restaurant has no identity, bad wine and beer list, no alternatives for meat eaters forced there by others. You know, just a fetuccini or ramen soup or something edible.

Anyways, probably will be forced to go back and taste the dreadfull smoked coconut "bacon". It's smoke coconut! NOT bacon.

Hope one day people wake up from this highway robbery.

Really love Aux Vivres, this store in particular. The people that work here are super friendly and welcoming. I have been ordering with them since the pandemic because I want them to stay in Westmount!

Also recommend for new vegans! I switched from being vegetarian to vegan this year, and on nights when I didn't know what to cook I ordered from them!

While in the mood for something fresh and healthy, I chose Aux Vivres. It was definitely worthwhile! I have the vegan BLT which followed the flavours true to the original it was smoky, crunchy, savoury and the creaminess rounds it all together. The creamsicle smoothie fulfilled the flavour also of it's namesake. I also quite like the carrot cake, the meal altogether was a good combination.

Fresh, Delicious, fast every time. I can't say enough good things about Aux Vivres.
