Bacaro Pizzeria (Monkland)

Tres déçue, on est allé manger avec ma famille, service très lent, il se sont trompé dans la pizza des enfants, on a du encore attendre, il se trompent de fromage par la suite (cheddar/mozzarella) on a pas du tout aimé! Il Manquait tjr quelque chose ustensile, verre.c’était pas du tout bon je n’y retournerai plus surtout question qualité/pris 0! Très déçue

Pizza plus que décevante pour le prix. Qualité et fraîcheur des ingrédients douteuses.
Il y a tellement d’autres options pour de la bonne pizza dans les environs.

Great authentic pizza, friendly servers and a great atmosphere. Be sure to try the Nutella fritters for dessert they are incredible.

Waited 1 and a half hours for food. No one else in place except me and my friend. The cook and waitress were too interested in filling deliveries. Waitress had absolutely no interest that we were waiting so long. We will never go or recommend Bacaro to anyone.

Very underseasoned generic food. For example, $20 for lasagna consisting of a stack of al dente noodles, bland tomato sauce with a bit of melted cheese on the top of it, no protein, no veg, no ricotta or béchamel. Go to Trattoria Mario on Upper Lachine or B&M on Somerled for more satisfying versions of this type of cuisine.

Good service, but not good food. I got spaghetti and it did not taste like it was fresh and I also got gnocchi which was over cooked and soggy. They also give very small portions for the price that you pay. So like I said, if you're looking for good service, go here, but not if you are looking to have a delicious meal.

Horrible place! Service was subpar and the food wasn't as good as the service. Here's the best part, I could get a Bloody Caesar for $9.50 but we got charged $12.00 each for, get this.non-alcoholic cranberry and club soda drinks. TWELVE DOLLARS EACH! We queried the charge, they said "that's the price, there is nothing we can do". I will never step foot in to this Bacaro or ANY Bacaro nor would I recommend to anyone, ever!

Service terrible. Meatballs tasteless, pizza good. Some workers seemed on something, spaced out. Manager at bar drinking could care less about customers. Never again.

Best pizza I've had in a long time. Our server was exceptional, our food great, the spicy oil is hit but worth trying. Bought a tin of spicy oil. Highly recommend.

Le service est très mauvais. Nous étions un groupe de 16 et nous avion fait une réservation une semaine à l’avance. Le restaurant était donc au courant que nous allions arriver. Nous avons attendus 30 minutes avant d’avoir le premier verre d’eau et avant que la serveuse viennent prendre notre commande. Cela n’était que le début de notre malheur. Par ma suite, la nourriture à tarder plus de 1h30 à arriver. Lorsqu’elle est enfin arrivée, plusieurs personnes n’avaient pas leurs assiettes. Par ce fait, nous n’avons pas pu manger en même temps. Il y a même une personne dans le groupe qui a reçu son entrée après le plat principale. Lorsque nous avons demander les factures pour partir, ça a pris 45 minutes minimum avant de les avoir. De plus, la serveuse a fait des erreurs dans au moins la moitié de nos factures. Nous avons attendu au final plus d’une heure avant d’avoir nos factures. Au total, nous sommes restés dans ce restaurant 4 heures sur lesquelles 3 étaient minimums de l’attente. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant. Le service est très mauvais.

Une arnaque cette pizzeria.j’ai commandé sur doordash une pizza et des frites, je n’ai reçu que des frites vraiment très déçu plus jamais bacaro pizzeria! Plusieurs amis et membres de la famille ont expérimentés cette supercherie.

Good pizza, nice place, however is taking forever to get some food, probably because they take commands and you can see people coming and getting the food boxes while you are waiting and waiting and waiting.

We ordered Arancini, Penne Primevera rosé and the Primevera Pizza (All veg) but it was yummy. Mac and cheese was ok, no restaurant can go wrong with fries so that was good too, brownie was a bit tooo sweet for our taste.
Loved the spicy oil they provided which took our food to a different level like the way we love it.

I've never eaten here but I can strongly recommend against ordering delivery. I often see their delivery cars driving with the pizzas strapped to the roof, even in cold weather.

Service moyen. Sommes allés en après midi (20/08/2022), on a dû demander pour avoir des ustensiles après avoir reçu nos assiettes mais la serveuse ne nous comprenait pas. Sur 4 personnes, deux d'entre nous manquait quelque chose à sa commande, et une avait été facturé pour un pichet de sangria (28$) au lieu d'un verre (9.50$). Temps d'attente raisonnable et la pizza était bonne. J'y retournerais pour take out seulement.

Joli décor, mais service — avec insistance — uniquement en anglais, peu importe la langue que vous employez.
Et la pizza vous rappellera davantage du carton garni que la pizza haut de gamme que suggèrent les prix.
Dire que, il n'y a pas si longtemps, cet endroit était un lieu de choix pour la bonne pizza du vendredi soir. Comme les temps changent!

Awful service. No water, waiters are mad at customers and give dirty looks. Food is edible nothing more

Excellent restaurant, la pizza est délicieuse. J'ai pris la pizza polpetta. La croûte est mince, la sauce est parfaite. Nous étions assises à la terrasse. Pour rehausser les saveurs de la pizza, vous devez essayer l'huile piquante. Wow! Un service très courtois et notre serveuse avait un sourire resplendissant. Elle était très attentionnée et joviale. Merci!

J'ai bien aimé mon expérience: le décor est très beau et original quoiqu'hétéroclite ; mur de brique, panneaux de métal, porte de bois de grange, chandail de joueurs de hockey et immenses pots de Nutella!
Le menu m'a semblé typiquement italien, mais je ne suis pas un spécialiste au niveau qualité: mes plats m'ont semblés "corrects" mais sans plus.

Plus: kids and wife like the food and it’s 200m from the house. So it’s not all bad.
Minus: I get dragged there once a year for the terrace to get reminded of the food and horrendous service before vetoing the place for the rest of the year. There is just no system for the service. 4 servers, a Barmaid and a busboy can’t keep up with 6 tables on the terrasse and 2 guys at the bar. It was always this way even pre pandemic staff shortage. Took a half hour to get any attention, water, order drinks. We had to remind the server about stuff we were missing. Food is below average. Stay away from the subs and calamari. Pizza is ok, but not at the level of 900 or pizzedelic on Monkland or Melrose on Sherbrooke. For good Italian, Casareccia or Amerigo. Check these places out instead. Vetoed again until forced to go there by some bad luck or family pressure.

Waiting service was bad, only one person taking care of all the tables and bar. Ordered a salad to start and got just the stem part of the lettuce and not all the ingredients listed on the menu. Ordered a sangria the strawberry that was in my glass was dirty you could tell it hadn’t even been attempted to be rinsed off! The pasta ordered was the Rigatoni Chicken Carbonara, it had only the pasta the bacon and a few chopped pieces of chicken, missing more ingredients per the menu. Overall, bad service from the server, if it’s Friday and you only have ONE person waiting all the tables making drinks and doing all that, it’s why the service was bad! Food wasn’t as great as expected! Place was dirty needing more attention! And don’t dare to ask for the Wi-Fi password because you won’t get it! Period!

Pizza is great and my experience was lovely. The only criticism I have is their portion sizes. When you order a plate of pasta, you expect a full plate, not a sprinkle of pasta on a plate.

This restaurant gives amazing service and tasty menu. One of my favourite places in the city. The meals came out fast and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely recommend this place.

*Our server was very nice, sweet and apologetic so this is why I'm leaving 3 stars and not 1.

**Pizza came with an ingredient that we asked not to be on it. Server was sweet about it and we told her to forget about it, then the owner comes and tried to tell my wife that the eggplant she asked not be there was mushroom PLUS barely apologized.

***My 3 year old son was served juice in a glass that was cracked. I know these things can happen, but this was definitely not dealt with accordingly. Again, the server was nice and changed it immediately, but if I was the owner in this situation I would have run to the table immediately to make sure everything is fine and offer something on the house if not the whole bill.

The food is decent (nothing special) but the main thing that needs improvement here is management.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere really inviting. Pizza crust was too doughy for my liking. Everyone at the table made the same comment

My daughter made her first visit to Bacaro today and they refused to honor their own voucher. So much for a first impression!
In addition, the menu is highly overpriced for the value offered.

Food was not really great. Over priced and the pasta I got was even half cooked. The breads were burnt as if it has been roasted too much. Honestly, it wasn't worth the money. The garlic bread was great, though.

Had some great pizza and good times with the family tonite along Monkland. Lots of pasta dishes and salads to choose from but of course we came for the wood oven pizza. Between the four of us we got the Diavola, Polpetta (group favorite), Zaza & Ortolano. All of them where excellent! Had some good calamari while waiting for these tasty pies. Also a nice selection of beer on tap with full bar helped wash it all down. Last not but not least, Nutella beignets. Excellent service, all be it a bit load (large birthday group), looking forward to a return visit soon.

This time I was there later than usual on a Sunday, so it wasn't crazy busy like usual.
Nice ambiance. Good service.
