The most amazing food.including Gluten Free options.there is really no reason to go anywhere but Bagels on Greene. The food is delicious, the service is quick, and the staff is extremely friendly. For bagels (highly recommend the Sesame - i can't stop eating them). For salads (Mango Avocado - has a slight kick that contrasts the sweetness of the Mango that will keep you coming back for more) and you can not go wrong w/ their Chicken Salad. Lots of variety, GF (Gluten Free) options. A+ service! If you haven't been.stop reading this and go now! PS: did I mention their coffee.go go go!

My recent trip from Toronto to Montreal was made unforgettable by a delightful culinary experience. As we were leaving the city after a wonderful two-day stay, we decided to seek out a local bagel shop to savor the famed Montreal-style bagel. The taste was not just extraordinary, but it also evoked cherished childhood memories. Those bagels were incredibly delicious, and it's a pity they were all gone by last week, about 3 dozen. It's moments like these that make me wish I lived in Montreal! Their bagels are truly exceptional and a must-try for anyone visiting that area!

Best bagels in Montreal! So much better than some of the more "well-known" spots. The pumpernickel bagels are excellent.

Friendly and outgoing staff. Will make recommendations if prompted and a good selection of bagels. If you're craving saumon fumé on rye, you've come to the right place.

They also have a small cafe with chai tea and fresh pressed juices - a bit expensive, but it adds to the charm. Would return for a quick and yummy lunch option.

I have tried every bagel place in Montreal, and nothing has ever come close to what I get from Bagels on Greene. Also the samosas are the best samosas I've ever eaten.

Nice bagel deli with a variety of bagels to choose from. They are moist and flavourful alone or filled with cream cheese. Many options to choose from in the ready made bagel old fashioned display showcase. There is the option to eat in or out as few tables are placed outside.

Would definitely recommend.

They have some really great vegan options! Bagels, sandwiches, salads, pay by weight “meats”, etc.

Had a larger sandwich menu both breakfast and lunch than any of the other joints.

Have visited Montreal from Ontario fairly consistently over the past 5 years, and have a friend who lives there. This friend has recommended and I’ve tested a couple popular spots and they’re all good, but this place from top to bottom was absolutely delightful. Interesting and diverse menu, pleasant, friendly, and efficient staff.

Whether local or visiting, this is the spot for bagels, desserts, coffee and smoothies!

Delicious bagel and decent selection of fixings. Smoked salmon was pretty good and the dill cream cheese - can’t go wrong there!

It’s actually a pretty large place with other baked products and there are some tables to sit at inside or on a patio.

Nice easy deli. Not busy, good bagel sandwiches, decent price. Lots of options and salads as well. Perfect way to start your adventures for the day (or a lunch)

Not happy nor unhappy. I hot the vegan bagel with “just egg” option. Very dry could’ve used mayo. When i asked for vegan mayo she said they didn’t have when they clearly could’ve because they sell it in their fridges.
Mango lassi but delicious however.

I really like its traditional atmosphere. You can find its old school style in the menu, the showcase or even the table. The food is above the average bar. I can find many local people arriving here early to buy their breakfast.

Bagels on Greene (that isn't actually ON Greene Avenue) is a cross between a grocery store, a deli and a vegetarian Indian food buffet.yup, you read that right. I should say right up front, the food is good, both tasty and of good quality.it's not necessarily inexpensive, but definitely worth the detour.at this multicultural dining spot, you can step up to the counter and ask for bagels, either plain or made into sandwiches, go to another counter and get smoothies, go to a different counter for a coffee, to another counter and choose from the vegetarian Indian food selection, or pick up various pre-made sandwiches, soups, drinks, and baked goods.you'll go to the cash and one of the Asian employees will ring up your purchase.then, you'll find your seat at one of the indoor or outdoor tables, tuck into your foid purchases, and you will have had the full Bagels on Greene experience.

We were wanting some good bagels close by, and Bagels on Greene was exactly what we wanted. Great taste, helpful staff, wonderful selection - thank you so much!

To begin with we were a little overwhelmed by the selection - but in a really good way. We easily figured out how to order, but we wanted so much more than we could eat at once!

We came for bagels, which we easily ordered and loved, and we also tried one of the great empanadas - but there was all the types of knishes, and the salads, and the desserts, and the other bagels & sandwiches - and the smell of the hot dishes.we could have spent our whole vacation eating here!

The toasted bagels had a great texture with a lot of toppings all around them (I'm not used to them on the bottom, which made these better). The spreads and sandwich ingredients paired beautifully, and the extra items just added more to the meal.

It was a great meal and we can see why Montreal bagels are so renowned.

Bagels Greene kindly delivered some soup for me today for free as I'm sick at home with the flu, much appreciated!

Ultimate lunch spot. Wide variety of items from baked goods, empanadas, knishes, samosas, rolls, sandwiches, salads and of course Bagels. Spacious store that allows for a casual seating area if you want to eat there. Don't sleep on the blueberry cheese bagel.

This is more of a take-out place than an eat-in place. They have a few tables for those who want to have a quick bite. Not a place for a nice relaxing meal.
They carry a wide, I mean wide, selection of bakery products, sandwiches, prepared sides, soups, drinks, and a variety of teas and coffee.
A good place to stop, look, pick up and leave.
Depending on the time of the day, it can be busy. But the staff is efficient and quick.

Charming and hip food market featuring many items made on site and others that are Quebec local. Should be a go-to for anyone out and about in Westmount.

Wasn't as fresh as I was told, but still tasty. The staff are reallt friendly as well. Mostly outdoor seating.

The chicken club was grilled to perfection, with the bacon nice and crispy, and the chicken had a little kick to it, which was a nice touch. Will absolutely come again!

We wanted to stock up on Montreal bagels and decided to give this place a try since they bake their own. The place is nice and clean and the bagels are as good as St. Viateur or Fairmont.

I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and was very disappointed. When we first entered I asked for clarification regarding their sandwich combo options. They were short and dismissive and said "you can pick any sandwich". I was precisely trying to understand what kind of sandwich options they had!

We then ordered three sandwiches with eggs, ham and cheese. They made a mistake in our order and none of the sandwiches had egg in it. When I told them, instead of apologizing and offering to make new sandwiches, they denied their mistake and said I never ordered the sandwiches with eggs. My friend and husband both clearly heard me ordering with egg.
By then, my husband had already paid for sandwiches with egg, and all they agreed to do was to fry some eggs and give them on the side.

So in summary, they made a mistake on all 3 sandwiches, we never ended up getting what we ordered and just got some fried egg on the side.

Otherwise, the food quality was mediocre, something I could have made at home in 30 seconds. Literally a croissant, with a slice of cheese and ham. No greens, no sauce, not grilled, nothing else! Maybe all those things were add-on options, but there was no way of knowing since they clearly were not bothered to explain their menu options beyond "any sandwich". The vibe was similar to a high school cafeteria. Very disappointing.

Edit: The owner/manager was very responsive and courteous in responding to my concerns. We tried two other sandwiches from them (a club sandwich and a bagel BLT with egg sandwich). Both were delivered on time, fresh, warm and delicious. Very much appreciated

I ordered four (4) items yesterday. I specified that I wanted lightly baked bagels (came burnt on one side) ; non-spicy chicken rolls (spicy appeared), non-veg butter chicken (uh huh, here came veggie) & 4 fresh Gingerbread cookies (hard as rocks). Only the candy bar & Homemade challah rolls were acceptable. At a tally of $33.24, I expected much fresher quality & service. The cashier was very sweet though. Order taken Friday, May 7,2021.

Best bagels in town, as far as I’m concerned. While many bagel shops are racing to the bottom to create the lightest bagel possible, Bagels on Greene have remained loyal to the tradition offering full size / full weight bagels.

The owner and family are always trying to improve the Bagel buying experience. The deli is well organized and Covid compliant beyond recommended practices.

Their Bagel loyalty program is professional and efficient. Success is not an accident for Bagels on Greene. I look forward to every visit.

I love Bagels on Greene! They have a lot of delicious vegan options and the staff is super down to earth. Not pretentious at all (which is kind of rare in the "plant based" community).

I love the bagels here just don't go at the end of the day, they have no stock, and stop making bagels. I'm also torn on this review because the samosa was gross, it was heated and not crunchy. I never had a bad samosa ever. Was very disappointed. Still gets a high rating because i love the variety and taste of their bagels. If they have stock. Lol.

If you are looking for bagels and also salads, give this place a try. They've also got an impressive variety of vegetarian options. Try out the veggie chicken salad with a bagel, it's sooo good!

I just love their vegan options, especially the section where you can get fresh delicious Indian food for a nominal price! Love this gem of a place!

While offering fast and friendly service, and with a variety of pre-packaged market staples, this local delicatessen is a bit pricy but is a decent option for a quick sandwhich.

Used them for catering two years in a row and they were great both times. They have lots of options so everyone's dietary preferences were met. Everyone attending said that they loved the food. Overall, the delivery was great, the customer service was responsive, the price was fair, and most importantly, the food was delicious. I strongly recommend.

Best value for your food, really fresh food, and very friendly staff. If you do have a chance to dine in, their portions are very generous. Even with a saturated market for bagels in Montreal, Bagels on Greene still manages to have their own twist on their bagels. Their cheese bagels are ingenious, and even their regular bagels are also delicious. This is my go-to spot when I'm in the neighbourhood!

Étant végé j'y vais pour le faux poulet vegan et il est incroyable. J'ai aussi goûter les pâtisserie et c'était très bon! Il y a beaucoup de choix et c'est un vrai paradis pour les végé et vegan, j'adore!

We were in town for a week and were looking for a good bagel shop and Bagels on Greene did not disappoint! Amazing taste and great service. We liked it so much that we grabbed a dozen bagels to bring home with us. When we're back in Montreal we will definitely be back!

They have got to keep this delivery service going, even once everything gets back to "normal". I placed my order at 11: 00 a.m. And by 1: 30, i had it! Super well packed in a sturdy box. I mixed up cooked meals with deserts and even cheese and everything was super well packaged and identified and right now, I am having the potatoes and cauliflowers and they are delicious! Only one issue, I wanted to tip the driver, but did not want to give him money directly and there does not appear to be a place where you can indicate a tip, on the website. Also, its a $4.00 delivery charge - AMAZING!

This place is top-tier. They have an amazing vegan selection and provide excellent customer service. I'll be getting my Vinadloo here indefinitely

If you're a vegetarian or vegan or just enjoy really yummy food with a lot of vegetables and Alternate proteins than meat you're probably going to love this place because it's one of Montreal's best kept secrets straight up.

You can pay by the weight and have a plate of food for lunch which is fantastic and has all kinds of delicious flavours from coconut curry tofu 2 mango butter chicken made with a tofu protein

From avocado and spinach smoothies to Pumpernickel Bagels and homemade lemonade slushies Bagels on Greene pretty much has you locked down for some very tasty treats freshly made.

Great place, all vegetarian. Great selection and lovely service, take out or eat here. But ALL their containers are plastic and not everyone recycles.

Bait and switch. Soon after it opened, I used to frequent the place to buy whole wheat and raisin bagels.
But the last time I went and asked for 6 of them. I paid and left ; neverchecking what they gave me, u the next afternoon. That's when I realized that only two were whole wheat/raisin; the others were sesame bagels.
That is what I call a bait and switch. Otherwise known as a rip-off. I've never been back.

The bagels are great, but the place could do with some reorganizing. Lining up is awkward and everyone is in everyone else's way, and the till area is an afterthought. So the bagels are good, but the place is a mess.

My favorite lunch spot in the city! Great selection of salads, warm & cold vegan buffet charged by weight, smoothies, bagels, etc. Highly recommended.

It's good and reasonably priced. I just wish the place looked a little more tidy and clean. I find they have a lot of useless items in the middle of the place that they don't need. The self serve buffet in the middle of the place is awkward. If they would streamline the place and make it look more modern, I think more people would go. I still enjoyed it.

Très bien! We found this spot by googling bagels near our Air B&B because we had heard Montreal has good bagels. They were delicious! And each bagel came with these scrumptious little bagel crisps as a side which we got a bag for so they could be a snack for later:) plus it was very affordable. 3 bagels (1 with cream cheese, 1 with egg and cheese, and 1 with lox) plus a coffee for around $20 (Canadian dollars)

Everything in the store looked more delicious than the next. I had a really hard time choosing what to buy, as did all the other people in the line around me. I spent about four times more than I intended just because I couldn't decide. Between the fake chicken choices, vegetarian and pinatas, and the Indian counter I was really stumped.
