Bar K Karaoke

It's nice, but it's a little dated, only has prerecorded hits, and the noice canceling isn't the best, and funny enough it's actually more expensive than the more modern karaoke bars not on crescent street.

It's charming in a nostalgic way if that's what you're into when you think of karaoke.

I’ll give a 2 star because the concept was fun and the song selection was great and vast. What I and my guests weren’t happy about was how the Asian man in the front kept trying to force us to tip before we even sat down. We didn’t order anything yet in order to tip and being someone who works in the service industry, tipping is a must. This man though was very forceful in telling us what to tip ect. The liquor selection was also small and they ran out fast that night. If you would like people to tip happily have a nice liquor or beer selection for your guests.

Come during their happy hours for affordable prices. The staff was helpful and the place is clean. They had good drink selections and ideal emplacement in downtown Montreal.

Nous avons visité ce karaoke pour un evenement corporatif avec l'emploi de ma conjointe. Les salles sont bien insonorisées. Il y a le plus vaste choix de chansons, du jamais vu! Nous étions une quinzaine dans une pièce et nous avions chacuns un siège. C'est simple d'utilisation.

I don't know how people say that this is pricey, it is an insanely good price compared to 99% of other karaoke places. Good song selection, maybe our welcome wasn't grandiose but it's not something I expect and the person who came in to clear our room was super nice and took a picture of us at the end when we asked and she did it with a smile. Honestly glad we tipped will come to this place again. I recommend others do. The rooms might not be insanely soundproofed but once the music gets going you just hear yourselves so that was not an issue for us at all.

Extrêmement dispendieux; 6 bières à 60$. Le choix des musiques francophones est pauvre mais c'est propre et le service est correct.

L'accueil n'était pas très chaleureux quand nous sommes arrivés. Le prix est bas et la qualité est pareil.
Peu de choix de musique en français.
La qualité du son était moyenne mais bon, on s'est quand même amuser.

The song offerings were numerous in my opinion, and they actually had a karaoke machine and set up, which is why I chose this place. It is quite expensive, but when compared to others nearby, it's actually quite fair. However, I didn't find that the rooms were well soundproofed. We could hear the other party in our room, even when both of our doors were shut. I also didn't feel very welcomed by the staff. Overall, it was still a good experience, and I will probably give it another try.

For what it is it's ok. For my first experience. I wouldn't be the one to suggest this place for next time.

The selection was very limited for some artists that I thought would be more common. Also the walls were not very good at muffling sound so the overflow noise from other rooms was very distracting.

I wasn't the only one who was disappointed with the song selection offered here. The classics were missing and the list was ordered by song name instead of artist, which made it incredibly hard to find songs we wanted to sing.
(I'm a Shania Twain fan through and through and they didn't even have "Man! I feel like a woman", for example)
The drinks were quite expensive, but you feel like you're in middle school and in someone's parents' basement.
There was just something lacking.
I would definitely try some other karaoke places before returning here.
The staff was really nice though and they let us book extra time when we were there.

We had SO much fun! The private room (i.e. Not having to worry about strangers staring at us and judging us) was a big part of that.

The music selection isn't that extensive, but we had plenty of good tunes to fill up 3 hours of singing.

The staff let us extend our reservation time twice, but eventually we had to leave because the room was reserved for a later group.

We could have easily stayed 4 or 5 hours.

FYI, they serve alcohol here.

Avoid this place, worst karaoke spot ever, the place is dirty and the private rooms smell so bad, the wifi that the machines uses are so slow they are lagging during the songs and it cuts the vibe…

J'ai hâte d'y retourner. Je m'en ennuie tellement! C'est le meilleur rapport qualité-prix par rapport aux compétiteurs, et le catalogue de chansons asiatiques est abondant. Vivement une soirée karaoké bien arrosée!

Song list is very disappointing. The quality of the instrumentals is also lackluster. Price is acceptable.

I wouldn’t waste my time going here. This place was so cold and uncomfortable, they don’t switch the heater on unless you ask them and it took so long to even warm up that it was time for us to leave. The rooms are also not soundproof so you can hear the people in the room next door singing and sometimes it overlapped to the point that we couldn’t even hear our own songs. The room’s microphones that are provided are pretty bad and you need to scream into the mic for you to even hear yourself! They also didn’t have so many popular songs (old and new). The Instructions weren’t very clear either. Overall a pretty disappointing experience and waste of my money.

The music selection is on the sad side if you don't speak Korean, the system has MIDI versions of the music, which can be jarring. The staff is friendly and the prices are decent though.

Très mal insonorisé, faut gueuler plus fort que les autres salles parfois.

Cold worker and owner. Especially when you try to reserve by phone the worker doesn't know what to do.

Cool place, we had lots of fun. Rooms aren't soundproof though. We were allowed to get our own snacks, but not drinks. Would go back again

A typical karaoke bar - with multiple closed rooms. The rooms arent soundproof however - so you will hear plenty of singing (yelling) in the hallways. Arrive for happy hour prices! They have a relatively decent selection of songs - english, korean, etc. Could use some updating for some more recent songs, and with more latino music given that its been taking over the world! Good way to spend a night out and let your voice shine.

Great place to have private karaoke with a ground of friends, prices for alcohol are a little high and the gentlemen at the door could use a bit more friendlyness. Good fun regardless

This is my go to place for planning karaoke events. You pay by the hour and by room size. None of that each person needs to buy a drink nonsense (I'm looking at you PangPang). They're also really prompt with replying to email reservations, which is great. I would definitely recommend.

Belle expérience de karaoké entre amis. Aucune obligation de consommer. Prix des boissons et de la salle sont raisonnables. Choix limité de chanson en français, mais catalogue anglais bien étoffé. Les salles sont un peu petites mais propres et bien insonorisées. Personnel courtois et gentil.

Private rooms, small bar and possibility to put youtube. The location is another good point, there are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby.

Fantastic atmosphere, private rooms, and good sound system. I wish the selection of songs was bigger, but it was a very enjoyable experience.

Bonne sélection de pièces. Faible achalandage en après-midi la fin de semaine. Pas trop mal insonorisé on entend peu les autres pièces.

Mauvais service, les salles sont plus petites qu’on pense. Ils ne t’avisent pas pour te dire que c’est bientôt terminé, ils font simplement bucher dans la porte et arrêtent toutes les machines. Ordinaire.

Really great staff and great rooms for karaoke, can even use the system with youtube to sing to any song. Been in Montreal for over 10 years and I keep coming back to this place.

A cool karaoke place. They have song lists by titles and by artists, which makes song picking even more of a pleasant experience! They could have better payment options, though. They're just starting and are not as developed as Pang Pang, but they're doing everything right so far. Keep it up, guys!

C'est un karaoké avec des salles privées uniquement. Le prix dépend de la taille de la salle. C'est correct, mais il y a plusieurs bémols.

Tout d'abord, il n'y a qu'une quinzaine de chansons en français, dont aucune québécoise. D'ailleurs le gérant ne parle pas français, ou à peine.

Les visuels qui accompagnent les chansons sont des vidéos touristiques aléatoires pas rapport.

Les toilettes sont propres mais maganées: l'urinoir est recouvert par un sac poubelle tapé au mur.

Les cocktails sont chers pour la quantité et la qualité.

Par contre, le son, le système, l'éclairage et la salle étaient bien et nous nous sommes bien amusés.

It's cozy. Small but quite nice. Rooms are a little old but other than that it's a nice little karaoke. Cheap also which is a plus!

It's a great place to go with friends. We have separate rooms, which is more comfortable and give us more privacy. They have plenty of English and Asian songs, however they don't have yet many French ones. I went there with my French classmates and we couldn't sing many French songs but at least we had so much fun in there. I liked the service also. Everything was well explained in advance and we loved the karaoke. I recommend it!

Attendez vous à voir défiler des vidéos coréens toute la soirée, un peu étrange quand on chante du Madonna! Le son n'est pas terrible non plus et pas beaucoup de chansons en français.

Je n'étais jamais allée dans un karaoke avant et nous nous sommes tous amusés comme des fous! Les prix sont très raisonnables, la salle que nous avions était spacieuse et propre. Le choix des chansons est vaste et à jour. Bref je recommande c'était vraiment bien!

Super chill karaoke bar. Prices for alcohol are fair, prices for room are reasonable - you do not need to buy alcohol. You just pay for the room. That's what I like about this place in comparison to other karaoke bars. Only downside is that this place is so popular that it gets crowded, especially on weekends. I spent an hour with my friends waiting in the lobby but it was worth it!
