Great service, the waitress was very attentive. The food tasted fresh and good but a little bland. We were expecting a little more spice. Portions are also a bit on the small side for the price. However I would still recommend the restaurant as the overall experience was good.

Good service and drinks. 3 stars cause all the food was overly salty! They should also consider providing salsa and tortilla chips while waiting to order.

Absolutely delicious cocktails (spicy marg omg!) & best guac in town! Good assortment of tacos to try - all fairly priced. Managed directly by owners who take great care. We will be back!

Amazing place! I’ve been here a few times with my husband and every time we’ve been satisfied. Not only did we not need an appetizer, the 3 tacos were the perfect amount! I’ve never left feeling underfed or overfed. The Alambre and the Baja tacos are to die for.
On top of everything, the price point is phenomenal. Mexican food has always been my favourite. I have tried Baja tacos at every restaurant that serves them and Barrio14 hasn’t been beat.

Food and service were good but waited 45 minutes for the food. Wasn't even that busy.only six tables.

Great Mexican restaurant! Best margarita I’ve ever had. The tacos and the nachos were also delicious. The baja tacos were good but the carnitas tacos were wonderful.

DELICIOUS food! Husband and I had mission burritos (one pork and one vegetarian chorizo) both were super tasty, full of rich flavor, and the Guacamole was amazing! It was really affordable and we took the food to go and it was still crisp when we got home.

Cute little Mexican spot with a lot of options to choose from. A nice little West Island gem. The service is immaculate the server we had was super ice and very attentive. The food was good-ish a very good portion size for the price and decently flavoured, I would’ve liked more seasoning but that’s just me. The cake was to die for thought no conplaints there. The drinks were bomb AF as well no issues there. Would totally go there again it’s the perfect little girls night or date spot not to be missed!

The drinks were okay, nothing fancy about them, and the food portions were on the small size. While fresh and nice to look at, the food was more bland than I like my Mexican food.

Food and service are phenomenal. The drinks were delicious. We enjoyed everything from start to finish. The churros were so good I forgot to take a pic. You definitely want to come here and try it for yourself.

Service was okay. The food was fine for a Mexican place not served by Mexicans. I had the tacos and the guacamole. The guacamole was tasty but the portion was small. The tacos were good but I've had better.

Decent place if you want Mexican food and you're in the area and don't want to go too far.

Best tacos and margaritas on the West Island. Mexican music, not too loud. Excellent service. We will certainly return - often.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Service was tops. Now… OMG! The food! ! Started with the chips and guacamole, very good. The mission burrito is a gastronomic game changer! Appetizing, satisfying and so mmm mmm delicious, with just the right amount of zing for spicy hot. The overall flavor of the burrito tantalizes your taste buds for a highly enjoyable meal! Thank you Barrio 14 for an amazing dining experience.

Our friends raved about this restaurant, they did not exaggerate! The drinks to homemade chips and guacamole were great starters. We had the soup which was so flavourful, followed by fish tacos. It was nice to be out in a restaurant, with friends, over a delicious meal! We will be back.

Food was bland and cold, drinks were flavored tap water but more important KITCHEN WAS DIRTY, FLOOR WERE COVERED WITH OLD FOOD AND STOVE LOOKED GREASY! We left before finishing our food because this was not healthy.

We were a party of 6. Heard so much about Barrio 14 we decided to give it a try. Althought the server did his best, being the only server there (the other called in sick on that day), he had no support from the manager/owner. Drinks were not offered. We had to ask for water refills. Two of us ordered the shrimp tacos. Two minutes after five of us were served, the waiter came to say that they ran out of shrimp. He said that there was an order of steak tacos ready as an alternative at no charge. The staek must have been sitting in the kitchen for a while. Bland and cold and the taco shells were chewy. We brough our own birthday cake for dessert to surprise someone in our group. It was put on our table the same way we brought it to the restaurant - in the box in the bag and put on the table.no plates, no cutlery. We had to cut the cake ourselves and serve it to ourselves. We asked for coffee to go with the cake and was told that the coffe machine was broken. And finally when the bill came, we were charged for the substituted taco meal after being told we wouldn't be. When we adressed this, they took $5.00 off. This decision came from the owner. As I wrote earlier, this was not the server's fault. He was alone and probaly not properly trained. Not going back.

Not being from the local area we popped into this Taqueria restaurant bar for a light snack and a drink. Cool decor, good Mexican music, nice people, great food and drinks. We each had the house special mojito, carnitas tacos and a giant burrito. The flavors and sauces were exquisite. Whenever in the area I will definitely drop in again.

Drinks were terrible (we had a paloma and a margarita). They tasted like flavored water.

Tortilla soup was average at best.

Fish tacos were too saucy and steak tacos were alright.

We regret spending 80$ here.

Just did take out here after hearing about this restaurant from a few friends. Wow it did not disappoint! We ordered the DIY tacos, burrito and baja tacos. All was delicious we will definitely be back.

I just got takeout from here. Literally so delicious! They had such yummy sauces. Ingredients were fresh and high quality. It was spicy and tasty. I can't wait to eat here in person. This was comparable to El Rey Del Taco near jean talon.

The food is really delicious here. Very good service, plenty of variety in the menu and very reasonably priced. We will be eating here on a regular basis. The atmosphere was also amazing, we felt like we were on vacation. Thank you for a great evening

We started going to this place before the pandemic hit, and loved it! The tacos and salsa were spot on, since the pandemic we have been doing takeout, and while the menu choices have changed, the food is still great.
PS the margaritas are SUPERB!

I finished work and I wanted something different so I stopped in to grab some quick take-out just for myself. I had the Barrio bowl with carnitas. It was excellent loaded with lots of flavour. Highly recommended.

Food was delicious! I took a chance and ordered takeout and i will be going there again. The service was great.

We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic flavour of this restaurant. Baja tacos and Guacamole were excellent. Do try the tostadas! Delicious! Margaritas enhanced our experience! Going back soon!

Fast food and friendly staff! The tortilla soup was delicious and the El Pastor tacos were my favourite! My only regret was not being able to try more, I was so full! A definite must-try!

Amazing family owned restaurant! Excellent authentic Mexican food and all the ingredients so fresh and beautiful presentation. The waitress was amazing and gave great suggestions so we got to sample many different tacos fillings. Margueritas and desserts are to die for! Can’t wait to go back!

We just returned spending 2 weeks in Merida city. Capitol of Yukatan. We kept thinking where in Montreal we will find the authentic Mexican tacos we experienced in Merida?
We discovered tonight newly opened Barrio14. God's sent authentic Mexican tacos. Right here in West Island.
The drinks are freshly prepared and amazing. They have full bar. Try their margaritas.
Sopas and guacamole as entrées were great.
Then 3 different plates of tacos which we shared. Sauces a côté are very yummy.
The home made desert 3 lecce was great to share.
They serve truly authentic Mexican tacos we tasted back in Merida.
I hope they will include also panucho in their menu.
Try it. You will not regret.
It is not your fast food style Mexican taco chain. Family owned. Personable stuff.

Great cocktails, nice vibe and music. The waitress was super friendly explained what vegan options were available. The cocktails and food seem very authentic Mexican. We enjoyed some tacos, guac and chips and their amazing margaritas! You have to try their margaritas, they really pack a punch! Hope this place does well. We need new fun options like this in the west island - Thank you for a lovely time!

The food here is AMAZING! LOVEEE the tacos, they have a delicious soup I would highly recommend too. Cant wait to go back and try everything on their menu. The owners are super down to earth and from Mexico! The chef is also mexican and studied culinary school in Mexico.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this place. Their decor is original, and the wait staff is friendly. The food is the real issue. They're a taco joint that can't make tacos. The steak and the fried shrimp were heavily overdone.

Guacamole is delicious, it’s fresh man was it good. The soup hit the spot. I can eat those two appetizers all day and every day.

We had the tacos Baja and Gobernador. With the soft tacos it gets a bit drenched. That being said it’s still not overbearing with the sauces.

How have I never heard of this place before? The food couldn't be any fresher than this! I'm coming back for my birthday with friends!

Though claiming to be mexican food, this is not. The limited offering of tacos only are very basic and small with no resemblance to real mexican food; no lettuce, nor fresh tomatos, nor cheese, they do not even have regular salsa nor sour cream. The service is also very slow. The margaritas were good. Definitely do not recommend.
