Basilica-Cathedral of St. Cecilia

The Cathedral of Saint Cecilia in the French city of Albi is considered the largest building in the world, in which the main element used was bricks. This majestic Gothic cathedral was built inside and out over two centuries, starting in 1287. The cathedral was built in a Southern Gothic style with narrow windows, buttresses and other elements that emphasize its austerity and resemblance to a fortress. For the construction, a clay brick was used, extracted near Albi, which after burning, acquired a reddish terracotta color. In 2010 it was included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Very beautiful and well maintained church in this small town. Free to enter, you can light up a candle with contributions $

Grandiose! Lieu de recueillement exceptionnel. Dommages aux vitraux dû à un feu il y a qq années. Espérant que la cathédrale pourra briller à nouveau! À visiter.

Magnifique architecture! Wow! En plus, nous avons fait la visite guidée pour comprendre l'histoire de ce lieu. Sur place, un collection de plusieurs bibles. Vraiment incroyable à voir!

Visite avec guide: extraordinaire! Nous avons eu le meilleur guide. Nous avons appris plein de trucs sur l'histoire religieuse et l'histoire de la région.

Un lieu de culte impressionnant, de toute beauté. Facile a repérer, si vous êtes dans le coin, profitez de l'occasion de la visiter et offrir une prière a un être cher. Sa vaut le détour.

Tres bel endroit, propre, accueuillant. Le curé est extremement sympathique et sait rendre les gens a l'aise. Pour etre honnete j'evite habituellement se genre d'evenement (en eglise) car je trouve cela ennuyant et honnetement je serais restee 1h de plus a l'ecouter!
