Beauséjour Apartments - Hotel Dorval

Our recent stay at this hotel can only be described as a rollercoaster ride of disappointment. We checked in for the weekend, only to find our room in an appalling condition. The room was excessively dirty, the bathroom sink was clogged, and to top it off, the bed had unsightly stains (I have attached a photo as evidence).

Immediately, we approached the front desk staff, who kindly connected us with management over the phone. We spoke to Manager Anna, who assured us that they would get in touch with us by Monday morning to address the issue and offer compensation since they had no replacement mattress available.

Regrettably, it is now Wednesday, and we have not received any communication from them. Our attempts to reach out via phone have been met with silence and ignored calls.

It's important for potential guests not to be deceived by the images on the website. This establishment's lack of professionalism is evident in the substandard cleanliness and the complete disregard for guest satisfaction.

What you see is not guaranteed to be what you get. The pictures are likely of the selected renovated rooms, but the 2 bedroom unit we stayed in was "broken" in every possible manner.

Carpets had gone dark as they might not have been maintained for years.

Every piece of furniture was broken with either legs wobbly or piece of it jutting out.

The floor creaked like those in spooky movies.

We got the rooms at a "reasonable" rate but not exactly what could be called cheap. The rooms were definitely not worth the price.

The pleasant part of our stay was the very courteous front desk team.

Affordable stay for a good price however do not expect top notch service. They are rude and keep only half of their shuttle service arrangement as I had to pay for a taxi back to the airport i.e. Was told by their shuttle service to call a taxi. Not cool, hence the one star after a good stay.

The receptionist charged me for my room when I was checking in. I told her I reserved online and I already payed and she kept insisting that they don’t charge me online. Now I’m in the process of getting a refund because of an incompetent employee.

The receptionist also mentioned that it’s ghetto place and she told me not to come back. She told me that they might steal from my car so I should take all the valuable things with me in the room.

I reserved a room with balcony and she put me in the basement. When I asked her to change it she said she already checked me in and she doesn’t want to start it all over again. What can I say…. Very unprofessional and disgusting place.

The hotel is the worst I've ever stayed in. No amenities, horrifically slow WiFi, dirty rooms. Cleaning staff were friendly and helpful, but it seems that they were either short staffed or not provided with adequate materials as the rooms all felt dirty. You get a random assortment of dishes and cutlery, but with no way to wash them it makes you wonder how (or if) they actually get washed. Front desk provided next to no instructions for anything. The entire building smells awful and the price was absurd ($800/night!). Do NOT stay here.

Only positive is that it's close to the airport so you can leave sooner.

Complètement trash, le gars au téléphone nous dit qu’on peut laisser la voiture durant notre voyage et dormir une nuit en revenant, une journée avant notre vol on nous dit que ça fonctionne plus et que il on jamais offert ce service. Les employés connaissent même pas leurs services. Unlucky

I was hesitant to stay here because of the negative reviews and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised! The rooms are clean, the staff are pleasant, great wifi! An all around great experience. The place is quiet and the apartments each have a kitchen (bigger than your standard hotel room). Really conducive to working remotely! For the price I payed, I did not expect anything fancy, but it was perfect for my needs. Although I came for business solo, I will definitely return again with my family, as the 2 bedroom apartments are perfect for parents and children. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend!

The place is absolute garbage and should not be allowed to scam people like this. First, it’s not a hotel, it’s an appartement building. The check in counter area is messy, and you can see already how the room will be dirty just by looking at the corners of the walls where the carpet meets the wall. Disgusting.
Walls are all crooked, carpet is extremely filthy and dirty, blankets are stained and disgusting. Mattress have a hole in the middle where people sleep (from being old and overused).
Everything was wrong.

The place doesn’t feel safe. Whatsoever.
Avoid at all cost.

Jamais je ne retournerai dans cet hôtel…Je n’ai jamais vu un endroit aussi sale de ma vie, même les cochons ne pourraient pas y vivre. On a dû dormir tout habillé avec nos bottes, les oreillers étaient jaunes et j’en passe…

This place is a scam. Booked while I was at the Montreal airport. There was no staff to assist with check in and couldn’t get any response over telephone. I couldn’t check in and still couldn’t get the money refunded yet. It was a really frustrating experience.

I was completely surprised by the appearance of this place. I was there for one night and only because it was all I could find on short notice. Check in was smooth… Apartment was awful. Bright neon light. No table to eat at, old furniture. Uncomfortable to just be there.and the tv didn’t work. I called the “front desk” and was immediately given a new room… Much better. Seems not all the apartments are the same. Still wouldn’t have stayed longer than I had to, and won’t stay there again.

À ÉVITER, si j avais pu mettre 0 étoiles, je l aurais fait. Les photos sont trompeuses, nous avons loué pour une nuitée pour prendre l'avion le lendemain. Arrivé sur les lieux le sois disant hotel étais un endroit miteux avec odeur de moisissure, la chambre étais dégueulasse, un frigo infecte, des fenêtre tellement finie qu'il ventais à l intérieur, pas de chauffage, j'en passe. C'est honteux de louer des chambres dans cet état pour 200$ la nuit.

This place was the most nasty place i’ve ever set foot in. Hallways smell like pee, mold, and cigarettes. Rooms reeked like smoke and stains everywhere (walls, tables, ceilings, bathroom) when i got to my room there was a used bar of soap in the shower. I got shocked by the electrical outlet in the bathroom. On my way up to my room there was 3 men that were residents that absolutely reeked of weed and looked very unpleasant and quite scary. The place is overall extremely sketchy. There is blood nasal drainage assuming from drug users on the ceiling and walls. Slept horribly. Never come here spend your money somewhere else

It was ok for one night, I stayed 8 hours. Carpet on the room full of stains everywhere, smells like cigarretes, it was hot as hell so I opened the windows and it was way better. Was comfy and sheets were cleaned and smelled good.

Je vois tous les avis négatifs et je regrette de ne pas les avoir lus avant. Ce n'est même pas un hôtel mais un immeuble d'appartements vétustes, dégueulasses, ça pue, y a de la moisissure et j'en passe. J'ai fait une plainte au ministère du tourisme et j'ai etenise en contact avec leur maJe vois tous les avis négatifs et je regrette de ne pas les avoir lus avant. Ce n'est même pas un hôtel mais un immeuble d'appartements vétustes, dégueulasses, ça pue, y a de la moisissure et j'en passe. J'ai fait une plainte au ministère du tourisme et j'ai été mise en contact avec leur mandataire. Le proprio ne se donne même pas la peine de répondre. J'en suis à me demander où aller pour faire fermer cet endroit. Je lâcherai pas prise tant qu'il pourra voler le monde comme ça.

Also the appliances are horrible they are dirty and burnt and plenty of greases omg I can't even believe I went inside the apartment this is NOT A HOTEL and It is a -1star in my book. I would never recommend for anyone who like a clean environment.

Most disgusting place to stay, kindly add more bucks to have better place. Room full of spider webs and stinky bedsheets. Nothing is related as shown in pictures gross bedroom and bathroom

The rooms are big, it's not a hotel or motel - it's a low cost mid century walkup apartment building with mostly permanent tenants. They have a few suites set aside as daily rentals.

It was clean and tidy, but really old - you could film an episode of "I love Lucy' in one of the suites as they sit.

There are no hotel amenities (pool, gym, concierge, store, restaurant) and there is no front desk, you call and a resident meets you at a converted suite to check you in. Your accommodation is a 1 bedroom a room in an apartment in the residential building.

The good news is it's inexpensive, in a quiet area, and close to transit.

Not sure why the bad reviews. Checkin was smooth. The lady was polite helpful. Looks like old apartment building turned into a hotel concept. Inside rooms and toilet all look renovated. Full kitchen, with utensils, dining room. I booked 2 kings beds both look nice. Near to the airport.

Area to improve:
Toiletries: towels, we were 5 but only had 2 towels and front desk ran out of towels. Only 1 soap in toilet. No dishwashing liquid to wash dishes.
Need to clean vents in the toilet.
Maybe upgrade the heating vents also.

Overall for the price, a decent stay.

Les chambres sont beaucoup plus qu'indésirables. L'entièreté de l'immeuble sent mauvais et la salle de bain est répugnante. À éviter.

Only pros: price and proximity to the airport.
Neighborhood looks sketchy and sometimes scary.
Desk staff was cold and unpleasant and yes treated like we were disturbing.
Parking is a mess, stairs narrow and steep, no elevator! That was not fun climbing up to the 3 floor only to realize that our room was accessible through a different staircase! No marking/warning/directions.
Will have to be desperate to stay here again.

Je met 1 étoile car on doit en mettre. Ça mérite plutôt -5 étoiles. J'ai dormi dans plusieurs types d'hôtels et motels dans ma vie, un peu partout au pays. Je dois dire franchement que celui là est vraiment le pire que j'ai eu à dormir. Avoir su avant, dormir dans ma voiture dans le parking de l'aéroport aurait été plus confortable. Payer 73$ + taxes, je m'attends pas à avoir un luxe, mais comme tout type d'hébergement, je m'attends au moins à ce que ça soit propre. Je pensais qu'être près de l'aéroport, une soirée de verglas, avant mon voyage me sauverait beaucoup de tracas, avoir su. Oreillers usées aux maximums, ça en fait des trous comme si la ouate à l'intérieur se défait, matelas désuet et vraiment inconfotable. Tapis sale, qui pu l'humidité et le fond de cigarette. Murs crasseux. Beaucoup de bris sur les meubles. Et quoi dire de la salle de bain: à en vomir. C'était tellement sale. La fille a réception, je pense qu'elle habite là sérieux! J'y demande de me commander un taxi pour X heures, elle me répond directement non. Euh ok, j'y demanderai pas pourquoi, j'avais déjà l'aire de la déranger. Les photos sur le site sont mensongères et très trompeuses. Bref, pu jamais. J'ai tenter de communiquer mon mécontentement et même demander un remboursement, pour moi c'est inacceptable d'offrir un service aussi médiocre que ça. Évidemment personne m'a contacté. Je suis donc en processus avec ma compagnie de carte de crédit pour le remboursement. Service d'hébergement exécrable!

The worst place to live. I was there for 3 Nights and had 2 units. We were 7 adults and 4 kids one room was on the main floor one was in the basement.
The furniture in the room was at least 20 yrs old. The lighting in the apt was very low.
The kitchen did not have enough pots and pans and to add to the frustration no dish washing liquid. I suppose we were supposed to use hand sanitiser to clean them.
MOST IMPORTANTLY:
The main floor room was so cold in the early morning hrs that the kids were crying coz they couldn’t sleep and I had to move then to the basement apt which was better. I also complained at the reception and got no response. The blankets were as thick as the bedsheets. The carpet was at-least 30 yrs old. It was filthy.
Finally the reception guy said I will refund u 1 night out of the six I paid for and since then he is no where to be found.
Don’t waste your money here. Find an airbnb. I know ppl come here coz of the airport. Believe me there are other places cheaper and better.
It was a total disgrace. I am also pursuing the matter with local city officials to pin this guys.
And you know why it was so cold. Because the
A—hole is saving his gas bill. What a cheap person. Making his guests live miserably just to save a small cost. It was -15C outside those mornings.

Worst experience ever. I left my stuff inside the room and they throw it without asking me. Even it smell so bad.

Bed bugs issue. You need a place to rest but full night bugs keep biting. So no rest, no sleep. Not worth it.

Pas propre. Les draps du lit semblaient déjà avoir été utilisés par d autres. (Il y avait même des insectes dans le lit) Le ménage de la salle de bain était très sommaire (il restait des traces sales dans l'évier). Les plinthes de la chambre étaient sales ainsi que tous les coins de celle-ci. On a eu droit à une climatisation de fenêtre très sale, bruyante mais inefficace.
Les couloirs pour nous rendre a la chambre étaient dégueulasse et il traînait des canettes de bière vide dans la cage d escalierIs. Il est certain que je ne retournerai pas a cette endroit

A fuir absolument.nous ne sommes même pas resté une nuit nous somme reparti le soir même.aucun ascenseur, pas de verre, ustensile de cuisine sale et en mauvais état.bruit des avions puisque au bord de la piste de décollage.

The room was disgusting. It was full of spiders and webs, it was dirty, smelled of cigarettes, the blinds were literally falling off the window. Hanging there. The shower was full of mold, the microwave had a spoon stuck in the door. The kitchen cabinet exteriors were visibly dirty, there was stuff smeared on the walls in a few spots. There were cobwebs in between the chair and the desk (a lot not just 1 random one). It was incredibly loud, but overall noise aside, 1 word to describe disgusting. It was absolutely filthy.

On est arrivé a 23h, des qu’on a vu l’état de l’appartement on a remis les clés (meme si c’est payé) et on a changé d’hotel.

We rented a few rooms for 1 night. The rooms were dirty with bugs on the floor. Kitchen in both room was with broken cabinetes, brown spots inside and outside. Fridge stored used yougurts and unidentified fluids in bottles.
Shower was so dirty that my kids refused to have a shower.
The stay was horrifying.

We spent three days there and on the fourthd ay they told us that someone booked our room and forced us to leave

With this price I am satisfied.you can't demand a five star hotel hygiene standard.around 60 dollars a night, if you did housekeeping jobs you should know it costs 40 minutes to complete the whole room which will pay 15 dollars to the workers.and the laundry jobs for the towels and the sheets.even It's scruffy, but the facilities still works.after a tired air trip It's enough good to have a break.and it's an apartment not a hotel.
The bad thing is it is hard to find.should place a big signage in front of the gate for the newcomer to find.

Beausejour hotel stay was really nice for me.
I havent seen any other hotel stay with cheap rate.
The hotel staffs helped me to extend my stay without any early notice.
The rooms and the facilities was really good enough for the money. But dont expect anything like a big 3+ star hotels.
All the transportation facilities are nearby and the grocery store are also near.

Le séjour à l'hôtel Beauséjour était vraiment agréable pour moi. Je n'ai vu aucun autre hôtel avec un tarif bon marché. Le personnel de l'hôtel m'a aidé à prolonger mon séjour sans préavis. Les chambres et les installations étaient vraiment assez bien ou plus que cela pour le prix. Mais ne vous attendez pas à quelque chose comme un grand hôtel 3 étoiles et plus. Toutes les facilités de transport sont à proximité et l'épicerie sont également à proximité

Large appartment and smart concept turning an appartment building into Hotel rooms. Great Value if you're staying a few days and even has equipped kitchen

Very bad, very old furniture and the walls was old too, very bad service, we wanted to check out and he was sleeping, i dont recommend it, the only good thing is its close to the airport and cheap.but not worth it.

Avoid if you can. The beds in 311 were completely collapsed in the middle one completely unsuable, like sleeping in a hot dog buns. The apartment was grimy and dirty and the windows shake terribly all night. The neighbours were shouting and singing until about 4am. I'll be adding pictures to dissuade future travellers.

Le chauffage était excessif, l'appartement horriblement sale, les draps étaient souillés de sang et les bruits du bloc entier faisaient écho dans l'appartement. Nous ne parlerons même pas du mélange d'odeur de cigarette et de parfum. Si vous aimez vivre dans la crasse des autres c'est parfait, sinon investissez sur plus cher. Le prix en vaut pas la peine.

This place needs to be renovated, the rugs are filthy, needs TV in the bedrooms. Everything is old, looks like they got things cheapest as possible.

L'appartement est bien, très grande. Malheureusement très insalubre, des cheveux dans le bain, des mouches morte sur le dessus du frigo et les rebords de fenêtre ainsi que beaucoup de poussière. Des toiles d'araignées dans les coin de mur. Les tiroirs et les dedans d'armoir très poussiéreux et tâcher de sauce. L'appartement manque beaucoup d'amour. Manque certains instrument de cuisine (malgré le fait qu'il disent être très bien équipée) Malgré le prix pas trop cher, je suis très déçu. Petit balcon avec une très mauvaise vue. Une odeur de pot a l'intérieur du bâtiment comme a l'extérieur. Les chambre sentent le renfermer. Cartier inquiétant. La toilette bruillante. Le lit très inconfortable, on ressent les springs. Le personnel ne parle pas français, et comprend pas toujours nos demandes. Les seul point positif stationnement gratuit, près de quelques épicerie et de l'aréoport, ainsi que le wifi gratuit. Très déçu de mon séjour ici.

After 11pm you will not be able to contact any of the hotel employee, No front disk, Nobody answer the phone and the emergency phone.
For the service the hotel smells bad with old stuff and furniture. NO coffee, if you want a WHAT EVER BED TO SLEEP ONLY so book here

C'était vraiment dégueulasse comme place j'ai dû me retrouver un hôtel a dernière minute je n'osais même pas mettre mon bébé part terre ou même sur le lit. En plus, on nous fait signer une décharge comme quoi si on fume en dedans ou même sur les balcons on nous charge 250$ et ça sentait le pot a grandeur dans les corridors.

Que dire, très, très mais extrêmement malpropre. Comptoir brûlé, douche qui ne fonctionnent pas, armoires de cuisine pleines de miettes, brûleurs de poêle graisseux. Si vous cherchez un endroit un passer une heure en compagnie payante ça ressemble pas mal à ça, mais si c'est pour un bon moment en compagnie respectable je le déconseille.

This hotel is super outdated. The room had an old stench to it that was unbearable. Limited tv channels. The main office is in a room, very unconventional and there’s no good sense of security. There is no escalator, keep in mind if you’re traveling with lots of luggage like us. The shuttle transportation is efficient but the shuttle itself is very dirty. There is no cold air, the rooms are very hot and no thermostat in site. Overall bad experience and lack of cleanliness and hospitality.

Super convenient for the airport, especially with the free shuttle. The apartment was massive and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the building is kept warm the only issue I have is the cleanliness, as loads of other reviews have mentioned. The floor was dirty and the room was dusty. Definitely in need of a deep clean but aside from that was pretty good. The staff were also really nice.

We rented a one bedroom apartment. The price was far and away the best value we could find for a room of that size. The location is AMAZING, since it is within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants and bus and train stations.

In appearance the building looks plain and somewhat dumpy. There is no lobby in the building entrance and the door is always open so anyone can just walk in from the street. The front desk and sitting lobby is inside one of the apartments on the first floor. There are no elevators in the place so if you have trouble with stairs you will want to ask for an apartment on the first floor.

The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. The closet was spacious enough to fit a full weeks worth of clothes, but you will want to bring you own hangers. We could hear some minor sounds from the next room, but it didn't disturb us during the night.

The kitchen was spacious and full featured. We appreciated the stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, fridge and toaster. The fridge and oven are small but good enough. A few items were missing, such as dish soap, a can opener, a baking tray and filters for the coffee maker but at the end of the day we had what we had most of what we needed.

The bathroom was small but the sink, shower and everything worked fine for our purposes. The hotel provided soap and shampoo containers are too small for longer stays so you might want to bring your own.

The living room was very comfortable with a nice sofa and flat screen TV. The provided Videotron Illico TV service is provided but the channels sucked and everything was in French but we were able to make do by unplugging the Illico box and plugging in our Roku. The TV accepts HDMI cables or component video. I definitely recommend bringing your own device.

There was ample parking in the provided parking lot beside the hotel, plus there was also street parking available.

We heard some minor voice noise coming in from the hallway from time to time but for most of the day it was quiet.

In summary this place was a good value. I certainly wouldn't pay top dollar to stay there but we were satisfied with what we were able to get at that price.

J'étais septique au début. Aux allures de bloc appartement. Mais je dois avouer que c'est propre à lintrieur. Pour le prix payé c'est très abordable. On y retrouve tout l'espace d'un grand appartement avec toutes les commodités, salon télé cuisinière réfrigérateur, cafetiere etc. Je trouve ça quand même bien et je prend la peine de mettre mon commentaire et augmenter leur cote.

Endroit très endommagé, lit comme des montagnes russe, insonorisation médiocre, nous avons réservé 2 nuits, en arrivant nous avons pris 2 heures pour trouver ailleur et nous nous sommes fait REFUSE un remboursement complet. Je ne recommandé pas cette endroit du tout. Les photos sur internet ne reflète pas du tout l'endroit.

The worst place! At the end, 100$ for nothing.the wifi doesn’t work at all! No elevator.so imagine to go on the last floor if you have big and heavy luggage.sometimes, it necessary to pay a little more to have something good! I Don’t recommend!

Close to the airport with free shuttle was appreciated but very dated, noisy (planes are expected, but thin walls and very creaky floors above), not very clean and reception is in one of the rooms which is all just a bit strange. If it was really cheap I could understand but it wasn't. Overall just not a great experience and needs a lot of improvement.

The only positives for this hotel was that it was close to the airport and shuttle was good. The hotel itself is run down, dirty and super noisy (see pictures). You would expect airport noise, however don't want to hear what the people above us are up too. The space we had was huge and could be easily improved by having a whole refurbishment. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a decent night sleep in a clean bed.
