Hear about it for years but never got to go and it was terrific - a quintessential Montreal experience. Helped by a wonderful host.

Very good classic Montreal dinette, used to be a cheap place to eat but not so much these days. But still great food. For the prices though they could accomodate substations IMO, but expect to be served only what's on the menus exactly. It will be good no no special requests.

Amazing breakfast food. Pancakes were the star and they scrambled my eggs perfectly (soft). Staff was friendly and helpful.

Tellement un beau décor… Bouffe correcte pour le prix un peu cher, mais le service… On y repassera. Une machine à cash. J’ai eu l’occasion d’y aller quelques fois; certaines serveuses sont amicales et courtoises, tandis que d’autres sont là uniquement pour pouvoir s’acheter des lunettes Chanel.

Excellente salade de poulet grillé. Ceci dit, je me suis sentie un peu poussée dehors une fois mon plat terminé…

Amazing old-school style diner. Quaint, friendly and family oriented with amazing breakfast/brunch. Always really busy but worth the wait! However, really small entrance way so it's annoying to wait in the winter. Best bacon and pancakes in Montreal!

The food is delish! Drinks are awesome! Staff is super friendly even when they're super busy! This place has a old school diner vibe which is super charming I recommend arriving earlier than when you actually wanna eat coz the place is pretty busy! Waited about 30 minutes outside coz it was so packed! Buy im not mad about it! There people are great and caring! They don't rush you for a higher turnover! Would definitely go again!

Never realized this place was here until I was doing my groceries at the provigo out front and I was waiting for my bus which is right in front of this restaurant.

A cool old school brunch place! The decor is great. Only downside is it's really hot inside, it doesn't help that it's been way more humid than usual in Montreal lately. There was also flies flying around everywhere so the dining in experience wasn't great.

I ordered a chocolate milkshake (good), the mac and cheese (only soso) and Adam got the salami sandwich and the blueberry milkshake (Good blueberry flavour and interesting aftertaste).

I definitely want to come back and try their brunch options because I don't feel like I got the full experience.

Delicious. Fast. Friendly. Great atmosphere and we didn't wait long for our seat at the bar. I would like to note, that while it was awesome- the prices are steep for a Diner. While I understand that they can charge these prices and always fill seats, I wouldn't return. It cost $50 (two people) with tax & tip. However, based on food and service I would still give it a 4. Get the Smoked Salmon Bagel and the coffee.

Montreal classic. 50s style diner that is truly authentic and delicious, expect long waits on weekend.

If you are a millenial and trying to feed your hangover, than it's the right place for you. Ambiance is lacking, needs warmth.
The food is very basic when it comes to flavor, even flavourless. The most horrific thing I have ever eaten is their potatoes, still hard (raw) with no flavor at all.
The food all looks like it has been left on the griddle to burn then slapped on a plate.
Everything looks rushed.

What is there to say. Place does great breakfasts. Try the salami hash which is impossible to get in Toronto. Get the banana bread loaf on the way out.

This is a classic breakfast place in Montreal. The character of it makes it 4 stars. The meal is alright, but there are better places. That said, you should go here and step back in time. Get there as it opens, it has a lot of loyal customers.

The staff are friendly but the seats are tiny and the tables are squished together. You have absolutely no privacy between tables. The last time I went, the zucchini in my omelette was literally rotten but they were super nice about and didn't charge me for my meal.

The lovely hostess made every effort to seat us close and in a timely fashion. The food came out hot and was delicious. Will def be recommending to friends travelling in the area. Can’t wait to come back! Def.worth the wait!

Disappointed. I am giving this restaurant a one star and only because I received the food I ordered. There was the usual expected wait when we arrived to the diner and we had to wait for all of our group's members to arrive to be seated which we did not mind. When we did get seated, we were rushed into ordering and we were rushed to leave right after we ate. We were in and out in less than an hour. The waitress took away our pancake plate even if we were not done nibbling at it. Shortly after that, she came by and took away the water jug from our table without asking if we were done with. Finally, she rushed back to tell us she needed to collect from us now, referring to the bills. We were not asked if everything was okay with our order and never once asked if we were done with anything. I understand this is considered a "staple" of Montreal dining but with experiences like this, I am confident this title will soon be dropped. The food is mediocre and frankly, the restaurant has lost the soul that Hymie brought into the place. His family does not seem to have the right values in mind and instead they seem to be focusing on filling their pockets. Unfortunate, as I will not be choosing this as a breakfast choice moving forward and will be sharing my opinion to friends and family. My suggestion is to provide a little hospitality as a side to your burnt bland potatoes. Oh, and maybe add a sign stating you are unwelcome to stay past a certain time frame. Thanks.

3 dollars for extra maple syrup in MTL is a bit of a joke. Bit pricey for what you get but the bagels and smoothies are great. Sides are overpriced especially the potatoes which are nearly burned to a crisp and not in a good way.

Great setting and mood, just be picky with your order.

Excellent food, milkshakes to die for! We were seated fairly quickly despite the high amount of people and service was fast - prices are a liiiiittle bit high for brunch, but I figure that's what you get when you go to an institution in that part of town! Would go back again for sure.

Very crowded for brunch. The food is really good. Everything on the plate tastes delightful. Would recommend this place if you have never been here before

Looking for a nice brunch go to Beauty’s.

Serveuse pas aimable, nous fait savoir qu'il faut laisser un pour boire avant qu'on est le temps de faire quoi que ce soit, alors que la note est déjà gonflée et que la serveuse ne le mérite clairement pas! Plats bof, rien de bien terrible pour le prix qui lui est vraiment élevé. Je ne recommande pas.

Bonne nourriture. Très populaire. Déco du vieux temps, américaines? Des banquets et couleur. éviter la fin de semaine.

Beauty's is a traditional diner, near McGill University since 1942. Clients were a mix of college students and people from the adjacent neighborhoods. As an out-of-towner, my son and I felt welcome.and surrounded by friendly people (as if everyone were on a first name basis).

If you're looking for a morning bite to eat, and want to feel connected to the people and a neighborhood, make a point to stop at Beauty's.

We went for brunch today, and OMG! We were immediately sat and the server promptly brought us water and took our drink order. We ordered breakfast and it was delivered to us in a fast time. It was amazing. The blueberry pancakes were perfect. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Tasty brunch. A Montreal staple. The city is lucky to have this institution.no matter how far away something always brings me back to the delicious Beauty’s. I can’t imagine the city without this iconic fine diner. This restaurant is in my top 20 places to visit and eat at. Great service and friendly staff. We didn’t understand the lineups for this place. Now we get it! Famous pancakes are to die for!
We had the pancakes and ham and the superbeautys 2. Yum, we’ll definitely recommend for others to visit and we’ll also be back.
Additionally, this place has a Harmonious flow, the staff are super nice and friendly. It’s a diner but great ambiance.

This place is so worth the wait. It has so much personality and is a great little family run diner. Once seated the food comes quick. Take my word and wait it out!

Love this place - I’ve been coming here since I was a kid when our dad used to bring us every Saturday or for other random treats. You don’t have to eat all day if you’ve had breakfast here!

I tend to rotate between two dishes - their bagel with cream cheese, onion, salmon and tomatoes; and their mish mash omelette with onions, sausage and the rest of the works - both are amazing and I can’t choose a favourite.
