Belle de Nuit Wakefield Inn

As a pre-birthday celebration for me, my husband and I decided to book an overnight stay here, we chose the I Love Venice room and we did not want to leave!

It was so cozy and relaxing, with an electric fireplace, a romantic setting with chilled sparkling wine, chocolate turtles, little tea lights upon our arrival. There was a lovely kitchenette for eating in and the king size bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed the private hot tub both day and night, just looking at the beautiful snowy scenery around us. Lucie and Claude were fantastic hosts, we will definitely be coming back!

Very peaceful! Exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. The hot tub was amazing and the room had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay at the Belle de Nuit. Courteous staff, nice rooms and well situated with respect to the main commercial strip and hiking trails. We were in the Tuscany room and it was comfortable and clean, had a convenient kitchenette and hot tub. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for a night for a birthday getaway.fantastic, well kept bed and breakfast.very clean, both in the lobby and room itself.we added the romance package and although the weather prevented us from enjoying the fire pit, the private hot tub was really all we needed.

I and my girlfriend spent a wonderful night in the Tuscany suite and exceeded our expectations. Beautiful building, all the amenities one could ask for, and a private hot tub to relax ourselves in. We managed to come at a relatively quiet time, so there was no disturbances from other tenants, and the place itself is tucked away on a quiet street. The quality and comfort of the rooms rival and exceed what most standard hotels would offer for similar prices.

Of course the hostess was a pleasant and friendly individual who certainly cares about her business and well being of her customers.owners keep the place in tip top shape and we had zero issues.we certainly hope to visit Wakefield again in the future and would absolutely love to stay here again, worth the money. Check it out if you ever plan to stay in the area, beautiful tourist location, and certainly feels like a small bit of home away from home.

We stayed in the New York room. The room was well stocked with everything we needed and more. The hostess went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The room and the foyer were spotless. It is very evident that the owners take pride in their establishment. I would highly recommend this beautiful spot to anyone travelling to Wakefield!

My partner and visited recently for a weekend away, and we couldn't have picked a more perfect spot! Sitting in the hot tub, watching birds fly around in the forest behind the Inn was just what we needed! And that bed! It eas like sleeping on a cloud!

Had a wonderful stay here for a week at the I Love Venice suite. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious. Nice and quiet/private location. One day the hot tub jets weren’t working and they sent for a tech immediately to come and repair it, and then gave us a bottle of wine with their apologies for the inconvenience. Really nice touch. Thank you, I’ll be back again next time I am staying in Wakefield.

Amazing place! Cleaner than any other place I have been and made for such a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Hot tubs and walkability to local shops made for such a relaxing weekend.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding in September but we stayed on an extra few days and we are glad we did. Belle de Nuit is a beautiful, clean, comfortable and peaceful place to stay. We stayed in the Venice room and it couldn't have been more perfect for us. The kitchenette was great to make breakfast so we didn't have to rush out of bed to head out to eat. The freshly ground coffee was a nice touch and delicious! There is a General Store for groceries and several restaurants within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after hiking in nearby Gatineau Park. The fire pit was a perfect way to end our 4 night stay with plenty of firewood and kindling for the evening. Claude and Lucie were very welcoming. We highly recommend and we would love to come back.

My wife and stayed here over the weekend, we stayed in the New York suite. The place was very clean and inviting and had everything you would need for your stay. The king size bed was very comfortable, just like being at home. The private hot tub was a perfect ending to a late night dinner. Everything is within walking distance which is another bonus. The coffee (which was excellent) and chocolates were a very nice touch. Evan welcomed us when we arrived and he was so nice and courteous. Highly recommend staying here if you plan a visit to Wakefield. We will definitely check out another room the next time we visit.

We had a wonderful 4 day stay at Belle de Nuit in early September. Claude is a considerate and caring host, always reachable if needed. The units are very comfortable and thoughtfully organized, the decor somewhat spare in a good way, nothing kitschy at all. Everything worked, plenty of hot water, all kitchen needs, in fact everything we could possibly have wanted or needed. Yet the space was neither crowded nor coldly functional feeling. The Inn is on a lovely residential area, a 5 minute walk from the town center, and Wakefield itself is beautifully set along the shore of the Gatineau River. The Gatineau Park trails are close by several different walks well marked for difficulty level. We had an altogether lovely time at Belle de Nuit and recommend it highly.

Belle de Nuit Inn in Wakefield QC is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I was there for nearly 3 weeks while renovations were being done to my house.

The building is beautiful, well thought-out - each suite is fully-functional, beautifully appointed, and provides a sense of independence relative to the other suites. And it is SUPER QUIET, no doubt a function of the building structure and layout, as well as the quiet neighbourhood where it is located.

Claude and Lucie (the owners/operators) are the best! They went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They were available, accommodating, and responsive in dealing with any questions I had during my stay.

Amenities within the suites (fridge/stove/hot tub, etc.) are perfect and appreciated! Whatever you think you'll need - it's already there!

The location is central to Wakefield QC. A picturesque river-front community with an eclectic 'vibe', Wakefield is home to the arts, health & fitness, haute-cuisine - there's really no need go anywhere else.

Belle de Nuit is 'tucked-away' in Wakefield, in a neighbourhood where the locals are respectful of their neighbours and keep the noise waayyy down.

Belle de Nuit is a GEM, not hidden but rather available to anyone looking for an amazing, affordable, and quiet getaway and an easy drive within the National Capital Region. Add the wonderful support from Claude, Lucie, Evan and team, and it's the single-best hideaway in the area in my opinion.

I HIGHLY recommend Belle de Nuit - I'd give it 10 stars if I could! Don't think, just go - you'll love it I promise!

Bien jusqu'au matin lors du réveil à 7: 30 ou le gars dans la chambre en dessous de nous ses mis à faire des plaintes car notre enfant de2.5ans marchait trop fort, se qui n'était pas le cas ont a fait attention mais il ses mit à frapper le plafond comme un débile et nous sommes partis car ma petite fille avait peur. Il ses mis à nous crier dessus quand on est sorti dehors. Ses la première fois que je vois une hotel qui est bruant au point de réveillé la chambre en dessous. Fini pour moi cette hotel.

We stayed at the inn for a wedding. The owners a truly a dream to deal with. Claude has so much life experience and is so interesting to chat with. The coffee at the inn is excellent and the chocolates they leave in your room are to die for. The place is beautiful with all amenities you need. I highly recommend and would love to go back for a less hectic weekend. Wakefield is such a charming town. Don't miss it!

Absolutely loved this inn. The owners were great. We loved the private hot tub and having the kitchenette. The inn is located on a fairly quiet street and just off the main strip off of Riverside. We walked everywhere.

Nosy male owner over the phone during the booking and was awful to his employees! I personally saw one in distress and in tears because of this man's unacceptable behaviour as an employer. His family was loud during visits, too. Not a soundproof place as advertised! Go to the mill instead.

We stayed there for the weekend with all of our family because we had my niece wedding. Its very clean also beds are very comfortable and has a cute private little kitchen and hot tub off the room. Very great and friendly service. Would definalty recommend staying here:)

Perfect for a relaxing getaway and not too far of a drive from Ottawa. I stayed in the New York room and it was lovely. The room was very clean, spacious and the hot tub was so nice! It was quiet, private and an easy walk to shops and restaurants.

This inn is the most healing, welcoming lovely place! LUCY AND CLAUDE are incredible hosts. They seek to look after their guests in the most caring ways.
I will be back over and over, as a sense of care to friends and family is at the core of the spirit within Belle de Nuit. And they were named as the top 25 inns in Canada by Trip Advisor … two of them In Quebec. I am so not surprised!

Very friendly owners. Beautiful room and very comfortable hot tub. The bed was extremely soft as well. 10/10 recommend.

The perfect little place to stay in Wakefield! Quiet, private, very clean and very kind people who run/own the place. The hot tub was so wonderful after long hikes and horseback riding, and all the lovely restaurants are within easy walking distance. We will be back!

My husband and I have stayed here multiple times. We have also tried almost every room. You can’t really go wrong, they are all very nice and clean. Such a great location and beautiful area. Bonus is the hot tub after a day of hiking or sightseeing. We will for sure be going back. The owners are also very kind and that makes it an even better experience.

Quite, clean, everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway. We will definitely be back.

Two recommendations:
A fee more dishes with a sharper knife, our was so dull it couldn't cut the bread.
For the cooler weather a small table inside for those who eat breakfast there.

My husband and I had an amazing time during our stay at Belle De Nuit. It was a quiet, relaxing, quick little getaway from Ottawa, and just what we needed. The location is definitely more rural than we thought, but with the rooms being far from the road and closer to the forest, you don't even notice, it feels like you're in the forest which calls for a nice relaxing stay - especially seeing the deer so close in the forest! A previous comment had mentioned the backyards - of the guest rooms- didn't seem as private, however they have planted trees to add some coverage between each yard and we found that it made for a beautiful secluded area, especially with the back fall of the forest. We rented the New York, New York room and it was beautiful! We plan to stay in this room for all future visits. If you use the tub, be careful when touching the plug, if it's accidentally hit it will unplug and begin to drain and it's very hard to get it to stayed pushed down and reseal. We also added on a fire pit, they set it up beautifully for you which calls for an easy to light fire, and made the perfect ending to our little getaway. Andreas was such a wonderful host, and made sure we had a nice relaxing time. We can't wait for our next visit back!

Gorgeous venue, extremely clean, updated decor, and exceptionally private. You feel at home here. Andreas was a wonderful host. Just booked in.and the owner Claude was amazing. Gave a tour of the facilities and made sure I was set for evening. Great advice on dining. Looking forward to the next 5 days. The village of Wakefield is really picturesque. I will add photos later.

We stayed in the I Love Venice room. It was beautiful, clean, and quaint (with a fireplace, full kitchen, tv (including Netflix) and comfy king bed). Our favourite part was the outdoor hot tub backing onto the forest. Extra towels and Crocs are supplied for the tubs, which are super clean and nicely hot! We booked from the Belle de Nuit site and also got complimentary bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, water, and orange juice for breakfast. I recommend the hiking trail right nearby the hotel and going to the Wakefield Mill for a gorgeous dinner by the waterfall.

We loved Belle De Nuit! Went as a couples weekend for my husbands birthday. It was clean, quiet and private! Super cute location down a quiet road. We will be back! Owners were super nice, helpful and professional!

This inn is absolutely incredible! You will not stay in a nicer accommodation in Wakefield. We rented out the inn for my brother's wedding, everything was perfect, I only wish we had stayed longer.

We spent a night in the NY, NY room for our little getaway. The room was lovely, spotless and had everything we needed. Our favourite part was the private hot tub steps from our patio door. The pillows were SO comfortable (so much so that I plan on buying my own, haha!) and the Inn is located only a short walk to the restaurants. The only negative part about the room is that it's located directly below a common space which meant that we couldn't sleep in as much as we wanted due to hearing guests walk above us. We'll definitely come back next time we need another getaway.

We absolutely love this place! This was our second stay here, and will return next year again. We have stayed in all of the rooms except Tuscany, and each has been beautiful. Thanks so much for the hospitality - see you again soon!

We stayed in the Tuscany room we loved it! Privacy is a little lacking, (The patio outside opens into the front entrance of the BnB, you can see through the fencing into the patio area, with your hot tub.) But it was still really enjoyable, at night it didn't matter! Highly recommend, we would love to be back again. Walking distance to everything you could need. Groceries, restaurants, shopping. Host are very nice and helpful.

Owner was very accommodating and friendly. Home grinded imported coffee was absolutely delicious. Got a coupon to go out to eat was absolutely delicious, room was clean and very well organized. Beautiful place would stay again in heart beat hottub was amazing.

My husband and I spent a week here. We loved our stay. The rooms are extremely clean and well appointed. The hot tubs and patios are lovely additions. The hosts are kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. We loved the room, the hot tub and our hosts were friendly and available for anything we needed! The housekeeping staff was also so accommodating and made our stay lovely and comfortable!

Had a great experience at Bell de Nuit Wakefield Inn! They were very pleasant to deal with, and the room as well as the rest of the property was incredibly clean and well kept. Also we loved the private hot tub in the Tuscany room. They made our Nordik adventure wonderful. I have recommended this to other people, and would definitely go back again.

We spent one wonderful evening here and did not want to leave it felt as thought there was a great deal of thought that went into the details.from the friendly welcome to the slippers by the door and the coffee roasted by the owner.it felt much like home away from home but better because there was a hot tub! We are looking forward to our next stay

Fantastic property within walking distance of restaurants and shops in town. Well equipped rooms and kitchens were great to have in the suites. The large common room was a great surprise and a nice place to play games or eat dinner, etc. The owners were lovely hosts and made sure everything was perfect. Can’t wait to return.

I had a beautiful 2 nights, very relaxing, enjoying my private cedar spa and the beautiful surroundings (nice hikes, little ski resort, pub etc.). Very warm hosts and cosy rooms.

My partner and I have stayed at Belle de Nuit three times over the last year and a half, and have loved every stay. There is no better place for a weekend escape. We have stayed in both the New York and Paris rooms, and can't really choose a favourite, as they both have a lovely view, king-sized bed, and outdoor hot tub/patio area. The breakfast is always delicious, and the upstairs common area is a great place to enjoy an afternoon. Claude and Lucie are very responsive by text if you need anything. The Inn is just down the road from a grocery store, and no more than 10 minutes walk from really anything you could need in Wakefield. Can't recommend it enough and always looking forward to our next stay!
