Ben & Florentine - DDO

Absolutely fantastic delicious lunch that nobody has ever seen. Service was ok not too fast but they got the food ready on the table incredible waitresses. Very quiet environment so peaceful so tremendous!

I have been going here for a few years on and off. Most recently have seen a decline in food quality. It was border line with some ingredients.
Eggs were ok
Smoked Salmon.could be a better quality
Fresh orange juice.tasted watered down. I realised some of the oranges were a bit yellowish / greenish.so again not what i am used to at this place.
The avocado on my toast looked a day old and not the bright green you would expect and what i am seeing in some of the photos. I did not take a photo as it's not something appetizing to show.
Potatoes are good as always.
The fruit was ok but has gone down in quantity. Seems like i got 3 grapes, 3 raspberries and a 1/3 banana
No sides were offered.ketchup, syrup, mayo?

I was curious about this brunch place, and now I know why I don't hear much about it.
We got there one hour to closing.
The coffee was brewed a while back, and the waitress seemed to be hesitant to brew a new pot.
The banana in my banana nutella crepe was black, not the chocolate dark colour, rotten black.
Only the potatoes were exceptional.

Update - we went there again recently, service was fast and friendly and my bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was nice and thick and perfectly cooked. The potatoes are also delicious.i guess it just depends on the day that you go.service was slow and not in order (tables seated after us were served before us). By the time we got our breakfast, the eggs were cold, the toast came way after the breakfast was served and the toast was too cold for butter to melt on it. Very disappointed since it used to be really good there.

Very nice experience I had a family group of 21 people Tania the manager was very helpful in helping me gave me a nice space in the back of the restaurant which gave as privacy service was excellent food was delicious a big array of choices hat’s off to the chef everything was great everyone enjoyed the food! We were never rushed! Our waitress was excellent unfortunately I don’t know her name!
We will definitely return this was the only restaurant that took reservations & accomadated a large group!

Best breakfast place in the West Island! There is a good variety on the menu and every visit here has been pleasant. Our waitress Charlotte took great care of us, and she's the one who put us onto the Firebarns sauces

When we pick up or have BF delivered they reliable screw up our order. Every single time. They hire rude children who don’t care about quality or service and my son is usually forced to walk back there (15 min each way) to fix their screw-ups. If they were polite or sorry it might not be so bad but they act like we are to blame. And seriously, Is a low-fat cappuccino with sweetener really that complex? I even get the kids to repeat order back but they still fork up. Worse, the chef is dirty and rude.

Enjoyed the company of friends. Vegan options if you ask. Service was great and we we a large group.

I had the best service from a new waitress she was very friendly and the food was amazing I got the pulled ham eggs benedict would recommend it was so good if you're looking for a nice place to have breakfast this is the place to go

Used to be good. I went today (mothers day) and they had only one waitress working … poor girl. The portions are a fraction of what they used to be and the quality of the food is terrible. Watered down smoothies, terrible latte, over ripe fruit… the only nice thing I can find to say is that the waitress was nice. I think management must have changed because it’s not what it used to be

La cuisine est constante dans ces plat. On déboursent le juste prix pour ce que l'on obtient. Les plats sont créatif et de bon goût. Le service agréable. J'ai un faible pour la poutine ben et florentine avec sauce hollandaise.

Exceeded our expectations, great with reasonable price. More impressively, super nice staff.

First I want to give a huge round of applause to the brave staff and owner of this restaurant that supplied the west island and many other a warm place to get food at a time where nothing was open.

A fiasco that they managed with integrity and kindness.
The line up was something I've never seen
People crammed in like sardines. But I was happy to see the staff assist me and my two disabled members I had with me. Despite being overwhelmed they seated us safely and served us a hot cup of coffee with a smile.
The owner of this restaurant really deserves a thank you from the west island community. They did their best at time when all restaurants struggle with staff and even the black out couldn't darken their outlook.
Staff worked like a real team, the waitress was soft spoken, pleasant and everyone was pitching in to help.
Everyone had a warm coffee and a meal to be thankful for.
This restores my faith in humanity.

Great place to have breakfast or lunch with family and friends. It's spacious and clean. The kids menu were around 8$ and the adults menu around 16$. We had a pancake and it was delicious.

The food is good. Portions and prices are reasonable. But this place is clearly understaffed. A visit to this place usually takes double the time it takes me to visit a similar place. The reason is you wait for long until some one comes and takes the order. You wait like 30 minutes until food comes and similar time after finishing food until they come clear the table and deliver the bill.

Terrible service. Stood at the door for 15 minutes and nobody so much as acknowledged that people were there waiting to be seated. We left and so did the people behind us.

Went for a lunch at around 11 am on a Sunday. It took a while before someone took or orders, then we had to ask if we could get coffee served. It took 1h and 10 min to get out plate and, by earing the manager talking from the kitchen, they had a group of 18 to serve that showed up after us. When we asked to see the manager we could hear her from our sitting place that she won't get out of the kitchen and it doesn't matter because it's only one table. Next time, I will avoid going there again.

Servers not attentive. Food arrived luke warm and server didn't know what to do! When food was delivered, we had no cutlery! Servers preferred to huddle together to laugh rather than speak to customers. Lousy customer service.
