Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa Downtown

Bof! Hôtel bien simple pour un 4 étoiles. L'hôtel aurait besoin de réno du plancher au plafond. Ou devrais-je dire du tapis au stucco!

- Ascenseurs hyper long à arriver et quand il se pointe, c'est plein. Il faut donc attendre le prochain. Vivement les escaliers!

- Yeahh pour la grande piscine intérieure mais plafond assez dégueulasse quand on prend la peine de l'examiner. Et il n'y avait pas assez de serviettes pour tout le monde. Quand on a demandé au lifeguard, il a dit ''faut que j'appelle la réception". Et les serviettes ne sont jamais arrivées!

- Les couvertures sont pleines de statique!

- Machine à café dans la chambre est un 1 cup pour café moulu. Un petit investissement pour avoir une machine 1 cup Keurig serait beaucoup mieux. Il pourrait récupérer les capsules qui sont maintenant recyclables.

- On doit payer pour le stationnement; really? ! On était stationné à l'extérieur. Je trouve que c'est un frais caché bien que mes parents me disent qu'ils ont déjà vu ça ailleurs.

- Salle de bain défraîchie. Ils ont caché le coulis de céramique de la douche avec je ne sais trop quoi. C'est laid. Et le séchoir sent le chauffer quand on l'utilise.

Le personnel manque de sourire. On ne s'y sent donc pas très bien accueilli.

On voit une tentative de rajeunissement; je pense entre autre aux cadres plus modernes dans la chambre où j'étais.

On a eu la malchance d'y séjourner lors d'une compétition de danse. Alors beaucoup de vas-et-viens et donc du bruit provenant du corridor. Je comprends mieux pourquoi il y a une machine qui pousse de l'air en permanence dans la chambre; ça camoufle le bruit.

Je n'y retournerai pas!

Mise à jour suite à la réponse de la direction: je viens de voir, 4 ans plus tard, le réponse de la direction.mais malgré le délai, j'ai tout de même envie d'y répondre. Le lifeguard a bien spécifié qu'il allait appeler la réception. Je n'ai jamais demandé et espéré qu'il s'en occupe personnellement.mais de toute évidence, on ne s'en souciait pas et même mon review est mal lu. Quant à la machine qui pousse de l'air.un climatiseur, really? Comment j'aurais pus appelé ça un climatiseur si c'était en décembre! Alors pourquoi un climatiseur fonctionnerait en plein mois d'hiver? ! Si ce n'est que pour camoufler le bruit.

It's in a shady part of town. Service was lacking rooms where nothing special.
My sister's room toilet wasn't working properly the 1st night and nothing was done second night it was backed up. Hotel was notified first thing. Someone finally came something like 6 hours later and started plunging the toilet well my sister and niece where in the room. Short story long poo and water spill out the bath room all over. Told they where lucky they have one room available to move to for the night and not one night comped.

L'autre dame lui dit que le sien non plus.
Un autre gars arrive pour dire que sa carte est désactivé.
Aucune distributrices dans l'hôtel.pas de bouteilles d'eau nul part.

Je remet un point sur la propreté des lieu! Médiocre! Traces de bouche et de doigts dans les fenêtres de ma vue sur rivière.n'importe quoi! Voler le monde comme ça c'est malhonnête!

Si vous souhaitez attendre 5+ heures pour votre chambre et adorez que les employés fassent du ménage et autres réparations sur votre étage entre 21: 00 et 23: 00, cet hôtel est parfait pour vous! La télé ne fonctionne pas bien? Pas de problème, un employé sera incapable de vous aider. Et que dire des assiettes pas très propres pour le buffet du déjeuner! À 7: 15, le buffet est déjà vide, mais n'ayez crainte, on viendra remettre des oeufs vers 8: 00. Et selon qui travaille cette journée-là, votre chambre sera faite ou non. Au Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa, le minimum est le maximum.

Si l’incompétence, la nullité et l’insuffisance avait un nom il prendrait celui de cette hôtel.

Réceptionniste incompétente et pas avenante elles peuvent changer de métier.

Hôtel sale, nourriture du petit déjeuner indigeste et odieuse.

Ces escrocs vous font payer le parking 15 $ par jour alors que vous n’y êtes pas allé. Leur service après vente fait la sourde oreille.

Chambre insalubre, bruyante et odorante.

J’espère que la répression des fraudes canadienne interviendra un jour pour stopper cette mascarade.

We could see the river and fireworks from our balcony.great.but of course you can only get a room like that at an additional price.but once you're there.

No matter where we go, we can always count on Best Western for a comfortable enjoyable stay.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The receptionist was really friendly, the room was clean and the location was good but the rooms were rather small, the AC was noisy and for some reason there was no shampoo in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was okay.

The 8th floor smelt like smoke right when you got off the elevator. The room itself was clean but nothing special. Pretty outdated. If you went out and came back past 6pm there was no parking infront of the hotel, so you had to park in their designated parking lots on the side of the building (which were sketchy). Parking was $15 a night. When we checked in the staff was nice, but then the morning staff upon checkout was rude. A young girl gave myself and someone else a lot of attitude.

Chambre correcte. Il n'y avait pas de shampoing, ni mouchoirs, et pas de verres pour boire notre café. Cafetière fournie était ok. Séchoir a cheveux ne fonctionnait pas non plus. C'est désolant d'être obligé d'aller à la réception pour en faire la demande. Par contre le personnel à la réception était aimable. Dommage qu'il y ait un manque de personnel, ça affecte tout les services.

Pool is quite small but it's salt and well kept. Hotel is older but has been renovated somewhat recently as of 2022. Most cable channels are in French but not all. Twenty minute walk to the Hill.

Shower curtains don't fully seal the bathtub so the washroom floor (and potentially the carpet outside the door) gets quite wet even if you're careful. Otherwise our room was clean, well kept, quiet, and the AC worked perfectly.

The location is absolutely perfect, as long as you don't mind a short 15 minute walk across the bridge with a wonderful view of Parliament. I recommend paying the extra for a river view room and even the balcony; it's worth the extra fee! The rooms were quite nice, parking was $15, which I felt was fair. My one and only complaint was the breakfast. If the breakfast was free, that would be fine. Unfortunately, it was $15 a person and described as a 'buffet'. Well, at that price I was expecting a nice spread, not the paper plate standard continental breakfast I found. I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast. My recommendation.book the room with a view and skip the breakfast! It's a great spot!

Nothing special, especially for the price. The best aspect is the location. You are close to just about everything! Downtown Ottawa is right across the bridge. The front desk staff were friendly.

The parking situation isn't ideal, you have to pay $15 to park, this brought our night rate to $199 which is quite high, given the condition of the hotel. The room was clean, I did find some garbage in a hard to see corner, no big deal. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Wifi and AC worked well.

The rooms and hallways could use some updating. They look quite dated. The bathroom door in our room was chipped pretty badly, and missing paint in some spots.

Really nothing special at this hotel, especially considering the price point (200$ for the night did not include breakfast either). I've had stays just as good in $80 hotels.

One of the worst hotels you can ever stay is, customer service is horrible, the hotel was so unclean I couldn’t even wrap my head around it. The lights were not working, the reception people never answered the phone, imagine being in a multi story building with old parents and the elevator not working. Please never every book this hotel. Completed hater every bit of my stay here.

Absolutely loved the room w the river view, hotel was clean and pool was very nice for the size. Only downside would be the size of the parking spots other than that breakfast was great and like I mentioned. The view!

Horror night! At 17 o’clock we entered the room. TV broke and airco was hot! Impossible to cool down…thee times I called the reception. At midnight a manager Came and said that they couldn’t do anything for now!? Wait till Tomorrow….
We could’nt sleep. The pool opens @9!? Too late! I hate this place.

Phone chaeger in the room did not work, it wasn't fixed after I mentioned it to the service.
The plug for a coffee maker did not work either.

We had many issues in our 1 night stay. It was our first ever time in Gatineau, we checked in room 831 at 4pm. We found someone else's bag and belongings! Spoke multiple times with reception and manager who assured us the room is ours and those people checked out and only forgot their stuff. We were really surprised at 8.30pm to have the people entering our room. Guess what! They never checked out, staff booked their room to us while they were still residents in hotel with their stuff inside. We were later told that we should have had room 821 and not 831 and this was their mistake. So those guests checked out because the hotel was full and were shown the door, I really felt bad for them very nice people, I stayed to make sure all their stuff is intact and nothing was missing.

Also, we got our room card disabled, spoke with reception twice to have room card activated, my wife also called, they were never reactivated and they said they would bring spare cards and never showed up. Too much left to be said really, paid for parking which turns out to be a no surveillance parking lot in the neighbourhood and not located in hotel premise. I feel robbed and they never deserved the high fee I paid for 1 night (200$). Very dissatisfied and angry customer. The room smells bad, there is so much noise coming from other rooms and staff does not care really. Swimming pool railings falling off and someone 1 day will get injured. Windows dirty, can't get a good view in sight. Elevator takes forever we had to walk up and down 8 floors.

Pour ensuite nous dire qu’il ne restait plus de chambre.
Le matin suivant ils ont chargé la chambre sur ma carte!

Bon commençons par le début à la réception 5 personnes derrière le comptoir on est 5 couples qui attendaient pour les chambres 30 minutes pour avoir nos cartes!

Surprise après avoir réservé d'avance 15$ pour un stationnement qui est clairement indiqué non surveillé!

On arrive à la chambre deux grandes traces de main sur la tête de lit comme si on arrivait dans un motel piteux qui loue des chambres à l'heure! Les vitres sont également tres sales. Sans oublier la boite de mouchoir qui en contenait seulement 2, sans aucune boite de rechange

Le reste de la chambres est quand même propre sauf le tapis avec une grosse tache et le gros problème deux portes qui communiquent de chaque côté pour les autres chambres très très mal insonorisé on entend parler comme si on serait dans la même chambre! Bref plus jamais 195$ et se sentir dans un motel non!

Belle place, lit douillet et confortable. Le ménage est a perfectionner, surtout sur le bord des fenëtres ainsi que les fenêtres. Radio a moitier briser, pas de boisson dans la machine distributrice.

Room was not ready as promised, told to come back in an hour and room still not ready.

The lady who checked us in was dressed inappropriate, her breast was hanging out her top, not very professional.

The staff is great but there’s a few things I would have changed about my stay.
When me and my boyfriend booked, he had put in a special request and it was totally ignored.
When we arrived, everything was looking great, nice bed, nice view! But, when we looked at the bed closer, it didn’t look clean. There was a few stains and something had even dried up on it, making a crust. We called the front desk asking them to possibly change it and they did! Well, added a mattress protector on top of it and changing the blanket (still leaving us with crusty sheet under us but not sleeping directly on it)
We stayed for one night and when I went for breakfast the next morning the selection of food was very limited. And when we unfolded our towels, we found small blood stains on them…
When we checked out we told them and they took off the amount for parking as compensation (15$).
Overall a great stay but the small things really didn’t make it that enjoyable.

Si je pouvais mettre 0 étoiles, je le ferais. La seule étoile de cet hôtel est sa localisation par rapport au centre-ville d'Ottawa et la vue du balcon.

Les chambres sont malpropres, désuètes et c'est très bruyant. On entends tout ce qui se passe dans le corridor et les chambres d'à côté. Même si c'est noté 4 étoiles, c'est un 3 étoiles faible. Je n'ai pas fini mon séjour et je ne la recommande pas à personne!

Staff at the reception are helpful, accommodating, polite and always with a smile. If it were not for them, I would give one star to this hotel.

My room was average. Nice view on the river, but badly insulated. I heard clearly all conversations happening in the adjacent rooms. Bathtub leaked on the bathroom floor. The hallways could benefit from a refresh, they feel damp.

Rooms are cleaned only if you are staying for more than three nights. Not unique to this hotel. Other hotels have adopted this new practice “because of the pandemic”. I don’t see the point and would have certainly appreciated having my bed done and room refreshed after returning from a long day of work meetings.

L'hôtel Best Western et vraiment bien situé en face de la rivière des Outaouais et d'un grand parc où on peut marcher juste en face du pont pour traverser à Ottawa vraiment bien situé cet hôtel avec piscine intérieure le check-in check-out se fait très rapidement je leur donne un 4 étoiles cependant les points négatifs déjeuner à 15 $ style buffet (autre hotel c, est inclus plus louin) où est le stationnement à 15 $ plus taxes (inclus dans les autre hotel plus louin) ils profitent de leur situation géographique pour faire de la facturation surveillez bien vos factures car même si j'ai pas déjeuné à l'hôtel on me facturer 30 $ de déjeuner

No parking at all, room smells like cigarette, a couple of hair in the bath tub… gets the job done but dont expect much.

Everything is good the only thing is the parking space.you will have problem finding parking space that is right in front of the hotel.you probably have to park behind or besides the building

On m'a chargé 250$ pour quelques chose que je n'ai pas fait et continue de m'accuser sans preuve.
Service médiocre de la part du gérant et quand y a des plaintes. Rien ne se fait. Nos enfant de 11 et 13 ans se sont fait intimidé par une grande de 17ans dans l'ascenseur devant une employée qui n'a rien fait pour aider nos jeunes.
Je vous déconseille fortement cette endroit!

Cheap rooms, good service, good location, but very dated rooms. Some parking available at the hotel, more paid parking across the street at the park next to the river.

Would give 2.5 overall. The cleanliness was very disappointing, our room was dusty my partner and I woke up all stuffy. We had a nice view from the 9th floor, however the windows were so dirty we could barely see outside.
The parking is extremely tiny and spaces can barely fit a regular car. You are charged for parking and are not guaranteed a spot.
The TV in our room was not working properly, we used our phones to watch a show in bed.
The breakfast was great! However they stop serving at 9 which is quite early even for early risers.

Good view, that's about all you'll get. Horrible customer service, you'll get a lot of 'That's not my job'. Had a simple request for a plunger to be brought up to the room, and was told I would have to go get it from the main lobby. If that isn't embarrassing to a guest I don't know what is. Paid for the best room in the hotel and ended up checking out early for another hotel.

I would not recommend staying at this Hotel at all. There’s zero air circulation, it’s outdated too.the heat cranked up to 27.5 degree Celsius in the middle of the night and I woke up in a sweat box.

After talking to management to get it fixed, Rudy (the manager) was not helpful at all. They said they would upgrade my room but I actually got downgraded to the second floor and had no view of parliament.

It was $200 a night at the time of my stay, and basically threw away $400 on my two night stay as the first night we were unable to sleep because our was a sauna. Rudy said he’d get back to me with a best western one night stay.he fooled me alright because I’ve heard nothing.

Best western, if this is how you treat your guest I would never want to stay at your establishment again.do better please

Extrêmement déçu de l'évolution de cet hôtel que nous fréquentons régulièrement depuis 2016. Le personnel à l'accueil semble découvrir son métier, répond toujours par l'affirmatif mais rien ne se passe.
Les chambres sont mal entretenues (nous avons demandé à changer de chambres au bout de 3 jours ce qui nous a permis d'avoir des serviettes propres puisque la chambre n'était pas nettoyée), beaucoup de poussières, de traces sur les moquettes.
Le petit déjeuner est de qualité très moyenne dans une salle sans lumière du jour jusqu'à 9H. Le premier jour je suis arrivé à 9H05 car la personne à l'accueil nous avait dit qu'il était servi jusqu'à 10H et la personne en charge du service m'a prié de sortir.
Auparavant le personnel avait de la classe et ils étaient super professionnel, le directeur presque toujours présent (y a t'il encore un directeur dans cet établissement?) le petit-déjeuner était servi par le restaurant o'laurier.
Bref, malgré un positionnement absolument génial nous ne reviendrons pas dans cet établissement.

Alors là je vous répète: quand nous avons appelé il y avait des chambres disponibles d'où la question de votre personnel sur le choix de la chambre et de la vue que nous y avons répondu on spécifiant le plus haut étage possible et vue sur Ottawa! Svp, quand vous n'êtes pas en mesure de corriger vos erreurs ni d'offrir un bon service arrêtez de répondre de façon irresponsable juste pour faire votre responsabilité. Voulez vous que je vous en mette? Alors ça fait deux jours que nous n'avons pas pris de douche car le calorifère de la douche ne fournit pas. Il fait froid.
Nous avons pris la peine d'appeler une semaine d'avance pour réserver.nous avions spécifié vue sur Ottawa et au dernier étage. On arrive puis chambre coincée au premier étage et vu sur le parking! On a demandé un changement puis non pas de disponibilité. Alors super déçus et plus jamais les pieds dans cet hôtel d'incompétents! Il ne mérite même pas une étoile

Great place has little j and big cuz on TV, has a grab and go breakfast. Got a egg and cheese english muffin.

Pas le meilleur BW du monde mais le personnel était gentil. Les draps étaient tâchés (pas sales en revanche), le drain du bain ne fermait pas, et on a trouvé un gros moton de cheveux (pas à nous!) en essayant de résoudre le problème. Au final, nous avons dû passer notre tour pour le bain.
L'isolation phonique était également moyenne.

Very old building and furnitures with real permanent guests spiders and insects. Only good thing, receptionist Man was responsible.

Les employés sont super gentils et professionnels. Chambres très propres et bien entretenues. Je recommande cet hôtel lors de votre visite à Ottawa.

Nous étions un groupe familial et nous avions loués 7 chambres.
Le service était excellent pour nous nous, incluant, lorsque nous avons louer les chambres, les employés de la réception et les employés qui s'occupaient du petit déjeuner. Les chambres étaient très propres. Tous les employés étaient à l'écoute de nos besoins. Nous recommandons cet établissement à 100%. Merci à vous tous et toutes. Lorsque nous retournerons dans la région d'Ottawa, c'est certain que nous choisirons le Best Western de Hull (L'autre coté de la rivière) pour notre prochain séjour.

We had the junior suite for visiting my son and grandchildren living just around the corner, had 2 kids play with us in room for an hour waiting for parents to arrive, would have liked to have a reduction if the pool was not available yet as per COVID protocols, excellent service check in and check out; and very clean with lots of towels

Air climatisé bruyant et vieux et ne climatise plus vraiment. Toilette bruyante toute la nuit. Pas de rafraîchissement de la chambre pour le deuxième jour. Déjeuner très restreint. Bref à ne pas répété.

Room was fine, seems they are short on staff. Need to have personal for guest service. My room TV was not operational and I requested for change at 8.30 AM and I was told to wait until 9.30 when someone can come down. Ridiculous.

Mon expérience a été sans regret. Le service à la clientèle a été un 5 étoile et la chambre était propre et confortable.

Très déçue, sol de la chambre sale, literie vraiment molle grand lit où on rentre a peine a deux dedans. Je comprends quand période de Covid on ne puisse pas avoir un petit déjeuner dans une salle tous ensemble mais un minimum nous avons eu un petit déjeuner d'enfant briquette de jus de fruit, bouteille d'eau boissons pas fraiches, cookie pomme barre de céréale. On a même pas droit à une boisson chaude sauf café avec cafetiere dans la chambre merci mais j'en bois pas tampis je vais aller au Tim Horton, en tout cas à part la vue cet hôtel ne mérite pas 4 étoiles car au tarif de 150 dollars car parking hotel payant 15$ et oui surtout qu'il est vraiment devant l'hôtel honteux.dommage qu'on ne puisse pas être remboursé quand on est pas satisfait!

Hôtel rénové à l'extérieur, cependant les corridors et les chambres ne sont plus au goût du jour.et nécessitent de rénovations. Le stationnement est en sus, le déjeuner to-go compris devrait être amélioré ou repensé, pour être plus santé.

Only put 1 star because I had too. Not sure what is plus with his hotel. The bathroom was moldy, dirty and the wall paper had stained (which I didn't want to know what it was). The office chair was peeling off the fridge was yellow. Except for the view of the river outside nothing was great about this hotel. It was dirty everywhere even in the halls. I senat an email with pictures to Best Western and they sent me an email to contact them by phone. When I did they just aked if I had more than I wanted to add. They didn't even try to offer to make it right or said sorry for the state the room was. Zero customer service all around.

This hotel is located very close to the
Museum of History and has a good view of the Ottawa River as well as Ottawa itself. We were upgraded to the executive suite upon arrival. The lobby is under construction and there is a lot of dust as a result. The room was a standard size but the bathroom was very small. Although the room is dated is was clean and the bed quite comfortable. The a la carte breakfast was good but the coffee was weak and only warm. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and all spoke English well.

We two families stayed over there on last October 07/2018. We booked one month ahead, but my room was very tiny. We were very disappointed to see the room. We paid $170.00 for each double beded room, which it was not for. Online it was showing nice bigger room with other facilities but practically it was not. Coffee machine was not working, though for four peoples they gave only two cups. Even they didn't provide any complimentry drinking water. Only one chair in the room, no dresser. After putting luggage, no space for movement. In one word, this hotel is costly. I have never seen this kind of hotel does not provide any drinking water. Any way we are very disappointed about the room. I will not recommand this hotel, untill they improve the room service.

Cet hôtel qui est très bien situé manque considérablement d’amour! C’est triste parce que le potentiel est vraiment très élevé mais on dirait que les propriétaires ne veulent plus investir et laissent les installations se détériorer.
Les tapis devraient être retirés et plusieurs rénovations devraient être faites.

Nous avons eu la suite exécutive car c’était la seule chambre qui n’avait pas de tapis. Quand même bien située et confortable, la salle de bain aurait besoin de rafraichissement. Le bain tourbillon était plutôt sale et défraichi.
Nous avions pris la peine de bien s’informer si le divan-lit était confortable car notre fils devait l’utiliser. La première personne qui m’a parlé lors de la réservation m’a dit: ‘Madame, je le sais pas si le divan-lit est confortable, je l’ai pas essayé’! Et la deuxième, la directrice des ventes m’a dit que ‘oui bien sûr, c’est quand même une suite exécutive’! Et bien non, il n’était franchement pas confortable! On sentait tous les ressorts. Nous avons demandé pour avoir un matelas pour mettre par-dessus. Ils nous ont apporté un lit pliant, ce n’était pas plus confortable. Nous avons demandé de nous apporter tout simplement un matelas supplémentaire par mettre par terre au lieu du divan-lit: ben non, ils n’en ont pas de supplémentaire! On a donc installé une couverture de laine sous le drap pour diminuer l’inconfort. Le comble, c’est quand nous avons demandé une douillette pour mettre sur le divan-lit: l’employé nous a dit qu’il n’en avait pas pour les divans-lits. Ok, avec quoi notre fils va-t-il se couvrir pour ne pas avoir froid? Haussement d’épaules, ils n’en ont pas de supplémentaires, ils en ont seulement une par chambre et c’était celle du lit principal. Il nous a donc apporter une simple couverture de laine mince.

Le lendemain nous avons donc changé de chambre et, malgré l’odeur des tapis, cette dernière était vraiment mieux.
Les lits et la literie étaient confortables.

Pour le restaurant, on oublie ça! Le personnel est gentil mais la qualité des repas est très décevante et les prix élevés.

La petite salle d’entraînement était très bien!

Bref, les proprios ont une mine d’or qu’ils n’exploitent pas du tout. On dirait qu’ils ont baissé les bras.

Félicitations tout de même aux employés de la réception qui compatissaient avec nous.

Staff were great. Room was not. It was not well cleaned. Items were not dusted. There was something splattered on the walls, carpet was lifting and worn out, bathroom was very old and many years of repairs just left it with layers of paint and caulking. Doors and hardware are caked an splattered with paint and dirt. Spoke to the front desk about dirt on walls and they immediately attended to the one area I showed them promptly but went no further than that. The staff were nice and helpful but the propery is tired and in need of further renovation. I won't be back until that's done. I have stayed at many BW's and this does not meet the level of the other properties.

Très bon service à la clientèle et très beau hall d'entrée mais pour ce qui est du reste de l'hôtel je trouve que le reste de l'hôtel a pris un peut trops l'âge

The service was fine but it was very clearly advertised online that they would have wired and wireless internet in room and that was echoed in the in-room guide but when I asked the staff said that they hadn't supported wired access in a few years.

Nothing special, but it is very close to downtown Ottawa, had most amenities you might want. No restaurant or bar on location. The room was as good size and had a mini fridge, hair dryer. Ice machine only in the basement rather than only on each floor or every other floor. Pool was good, there is a lifeguard on duty. Small fitness room. I saw meeting rooms that you can book. Our river view room we reserved was on the second floor, so unless you're getting a room in the sixth floor or higher you probably won't see the river, so don't pay extra for that.

Il ne faut pas chercher midi à 14h00: ce n'est pas un hôtel 5 étoiles. Par contre, pour le prix, il fait bien le travail! Personnel courtois à l'entrée, chambres propres et bien insonorisée. Pas de problème pour dormir (bruit ou autre) côté "Ottawa". Le look des chambres est viellot, mais il y a du branchement pour travailler et un WIFI solide (upload de mon travail tout en écoutant Netflix sans problème). Restaurant sur place (pas eu l'occasion d'y aller) et jolie piscine (malheureusement pas ouverte le matin).

Nice hotel priced right, close to downtown Ottawa, Nice walking trails and comfortable Bed. I would stay here again!
Staff very polite and helpful with information on the area, I could tell they enjoy there jobs and like working with people.

I would never recommend this place to my friends. It's dirty old hotel with noisy air conditioners and fridges. No wonder they don't ask "how was your stay" at check out, they don't want clients who is checking in to hear it. Mould on the pop corn ceiling in a bathroom, armchair with a hole from cigaret and dirty stains on a sit, add the stinky old carpet to the picture - you can find it all in room 236.

A decent night of sleep with a nice view of Ottawa. 5 minute drive from just about all the attractions in town. Be ready to pay for your parking per night of stay, this was not mentioned when we reserved. No room service available either as the restaurant staff seem overloaded. All in all a decent stay, nothing more.

The room that we got was horrible at the corner of building with no view and the fridge was noisy (have to unplug at night). A lot of surprise charges e.g. Parking and breakfast was not included. We paid about $100 more than we expected. However the hotel is in perfect location on Hull.

La salle de bain adapté est inadéquate et mal conçus. La pomme de douche est mal orienter et malheureusement l'eau se retrouve à couler sur le plancher de la salle de bain et la céramique devient très glissante. La petit pente pour rentrer dans la douche est mal conçu et pas faite pour le public cible. Cela nous a causer un problème supplémentaire.
Payé pour le stationnement que nous n'avons pas plus utiliser car il était déjà plein. De plus, il est très petit et mal adapter pour les personnes handicapées.

I stayed there for four days. Great customer service. The only bad side was my room was not well lit but there are one floor lamp and two table lamp so I had to turn the floor lamp and the washroom light on to get more brightness. Overall, the cleaning staff are so on point. By the time I get back from work the room is flawless again. Keep up the good work.

Front desk assigned the room I was in to another guest. They tried entering my hotel room as I was sleeping at 11: 30pm. If i did not have the sliding bolt on the door they would've entered- thankfully I did and they only opened the door a couple of inches before I woke up and realized what was happening. Could not sleep and did not feel safe in the room after that. Further more the cleanliness of the room was sub par at best.

Hôtel bien situé. Chambre avec 2 vrais lits pour une famille de 4, c'est bien. Par contre elle était située juste au dessus des extracteurs d'air d'où 2 nuitées avec un bruit continuel de moteur, une horreur. La piscine est cool et peu fréquentée. Pour les petits déjeuners ils sont bons mais il y a des suppléments dont le jus d'orange. C'est pas comme cela qu'on obtient un 5 étoiles. C'est mesquin.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Parking is atrocious, the building itself seemed like it was origially designed for another purpose as the rooms are small. The food in the restaurant was poor, overcooked pasta and burned bread. Expensive for poor quality. The only reason this is being given 1 star is because otherwise it wouldn't allow us to post

They were actually very clean, very nice people. They even offered me some chocolate for the kids. Very nice people overall, would go there again if I ever could!

Overpriced, and in need of a renovation / decor update, this hotel is subject to a 4% sur-tax and charges for parking that is very full all the time. The non-included breakfast is at the restaurant in the lobby that barely shows any sense of style and looks more like a caferteria with a two seat bar in the corner. Also, don't expect any kind of recognition from the customer retention program (I'm platinum and they did nothing for me) Clearly they don't follow franchise branding directions.
There are better deals and places to stay in Ottawa, although they do have a good location.

I will not be going back.

There was no continental breakfast, so it was an additional cost. We had to get a staff member to unlock the pool door, normally you just use your room key. I stayed for 2 nights and both nights woke up several times and had a piercing pain in my back all morning because the beds are too firm. Nice spatious room, great view, 7th floor facing Parliament.
