I highly recommend Bis. The food was among the very best we had in our brief stay in Montreal, and the service was great. I don't think I have any drawbacks at all. I will certainly return when next I am in Montreal

We were looking for a place at which to eat when visiting Montreal. We are so happy that we came here as everything from beginning to end was delicious. They gave us complimentary veal meatballs, which were tasty. The bread was yummy. But our favorite was the lamb pasta. It was incredibly saucy and tasty. We had the creme brulee for dessert - it was not too sweet which was a nice surprise. The service was impeccable also - every single employee was kind and attentive. Be sure to check them out!

Visited with an employee. We had foie gras as an appetizer. His main course was the Scalloppine con Crema di Tartufo e Porcini. So tender he was able to cut it with his fork. I had the Spaghetti alla Carbonara con Guancale. I finished with the Crème Brulée and he had the Tiramisu. Everything was just excellent.great, great food. I'll be returning. Already other employees are asking for it.: D Recommended!

I’m super disappointed tonight.
I’ve been coming here 10 years and always loved this place. Always been my number one restaurant and wanted to celebrate my bday here because I felt this is where I’d get the best experience.

Unfortunately this will be my last time I come and almost feels like a heartbreak cause I affectionated this place so much.

Mozzarella di bufala was frozen… made a little suggestion to maybe have it at a better temperature… The owner answered in a very condescending way that I should be calling an hour in advance next time if I wanted to have it at the right temperature…! Then my plate wasn’t really what I expected from the description in the menu… The answer I got to that was also not very helpful. Hard to put in words but basically felt like we were being brushed off.

Everybody just felt on edge and the vibe was super off.

To top it off they were having a discussion in the kitchen and overheard them talking saying «  If I would have to make everybody happy I’m in the wrong business.  » clearly taking about our table.

Will never refer anybody ever again… and I highly suggest you go elsewhere.

The owner needs to sell because he seems to be so fed up he forgot to take care of the satisfaction of his loyal clients.

If you’re a POC, do not even try to come here. They won’t seat you, and will tell you they’re fully booked while the restaurant is completely empty. Then seat 7 people without reservations. They won’t even let you use the washroom! Crazy first experience in Montreal, would not recommend at all.

Bis is a small place.

The waiters are a bit older than average.
Nothing screaming high end on the surface.
The food however is very good and the wine selection is excellent.

The bread is good. Minor detail, you ma think but it makes a difference.

I ordered a plate of duck with a blueberry sauce and wow, that was very good.

Another highlight was the desert, i had "affogato", a tall glass of ice cream with a cup of espresso poured over, another moment where I had to pause to ensure I could properly taste and absorb all that flavor. One of those times when you realize good, real good, does not have to be complicated.

Simple, unpretentious, fresh and tasty.

Food was delicious, staff was nice and welcoming. Ambiance was cozy and elegant but comfortable enough to have my 8 year old.

Have loved this place for years! It's always consistent and we love the staff. Always clean and beautiful ambiance.

Awful customer service, the waiter was rude.the menu says gluten-free options available but YOU have to guess which ones are available, because they wont tell you. Food was nothing special, especially given the price. Over-priced for no reason. Worst experience weve had at a restaurant.

We ordered a delivery, I had the risotto with chicken. Extremely expensive, specially for what it was. A few pieces of chicken on a yellow rice (that was definitely NOT a risotto), with uncooked peas thrown on top. Tasteless. The final drop was finding a BLACK HAIR in the middle of the rice, and that was when I stopped eating. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMEND AT ALL.

Excellent service aux tables. Menu adapté aux soirées de spectacle au Centre Bell, pour un service plus rapide. Le jarret de veau était excellent et le steak également. Je recommande.

For the price I paid the food could have been better. Taste was mediocre, service was okay. High prices should usually come with top service and food. Ambience was nice I’ll give them that!

Le service est impeccable! La carte est fantastique! Essayez les linguine al inchiostro di seppie gamberi capesante e zafferano! C'est juste sublime! Les plats sont copieux! Et pour terminer, un bon Affogato juste parfait!

By far the best Italian restaurant in Montreal. The food is great, the owners and staff are exceptionally friendly and professional. Simply, an overall wonderful experience!

Excellent meal and service, wonderful small bistro environment; appreciated good wine list and cocktails. For some reason, I was very happy when I called to make reservations and the chef picked up. Felt like it was personal service.

I would give this place a 10/5 stars if I could. Staff was extremely friendly and treated me like family. The food is incredible, I had the seafood linguini in red sauce it was fantastic. I would defintaley recommend this spot, can't wait to go back.

Expérience sensationnelle, restaurant merveilleux et très intime pour une soirée en amoureux. Le services a été exceptionnel, merci au maître d’hôtel, serveurs et chef. La nourriture a été aussi excellente. Ma découverte est le spaghetti bolonaise qui est à mon avis un des meilleurs que j’ai mangé.
Merci à l’équipe de Bis qui ont contribué à la belle sortie en amoureux.

We were 6 last Saturday and Marcello took good care of us. My wife had the Mediterranean Sea Bass and it was excellent. I had a Veal Marsala and it was the best I've had because the Veal wasn't flattened out as in run over.
Worth a visit EXCEPT, don't go when the Habs are playing. The traffic was a nightmare.

Très belle soirée dans ce petit resto italien. Le service est excellent et la bouffe est bonne. Nous y retournerons c'est certain! Réservations requises car l'endroit était plein.

Service client au-delà de nos attentes. Le personnel est extrêmement chaleureux et accueillant. Côté culinaire, c'est impeccable!

If it was possible, I would rate this place 10 out of 5. Amazing, extremely welcoming and pleasant staff ready to accommodate for any requests. I had a stunningly delicious dinner here, and it was the best Italian food that I had in Canada so far, and one of the best meals since I arrived overall. Highly recommended for any occasion, a very cozy and pleasant restaurant matching the best places in Italy, it took me back to so many pleasant memories from Europe.

What a wonderful experience! Went for my wife's birthday and each member of the friendly staff treated us like family. Food was delicious and great presentation.
