Amazing resto for dinner. All items on the menu were great. The venue is cozy and warm creating a great dining experience.

Tout d'abord, le service à commencé depuis l'accueil chaleureux de Sarah, l'un des meilleurs restaurants de la région de Montréal, les plats sont bien préparés, au niveau de dressage et aussi au niveau des saveurs, merci chef tarik, merci MMe Sarah pour cette belle soirée.

Un grand merci à Sara-Ann, Tarik, Katelyn ainsi que toute leur équipe pour la merveilleuse soirée de samedi dernier organisée spécialement pour l’anniversaire de mon mari.
L’aménagement des lieux, le service efficace et souriant ont définitivement contribué au succès de l’évènement.

Just a normal restaurant but they pretend to be special. This place has a 2 months reservation. Half of the tables were empty because they use 1 table only 1 time in the whole evening. The food was ok, nothing very special. Totally not worthy the 2 months wait also not worthy the price. Ridiculous.

This is one of the best restaurants in all of Montreal. The soup was one of the best soups I've ever had. My boyfriend and I shared two meals and they were both spectacular. My family tried all of the deserts and they were all perfect. While this restaurant is on the more expensive side, it is well worth the price and I left there feeling full. I would definitely recommend.

Worth the 2 month wait for our reservation! The food was delicious and presented beautifully, the service was professional, friendly and prompt, and atmosphere is elegant and homey. The sweet potato ginger apple soup was my favorite. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious, but I wish it came with a side of something besides a few vegetables. Seafood risotto was also delicious with a unique dill flavor! Overall, a great experience - I’m already waiting on when I can make another reservation!

First time clients, did not disappoint, atmosphere, service and food were amazing. Will definitely be going back!

Celebrating our 45th anniversary brought us serendipitously to Bistro 1843 in L’ile Brizard purely by chance, and what a celebration it turned out to be.

Proprietors Sara and Tarik embrace the mantra ‘smaller is better’, allowing them to oversee every aspect of their establishment which serves as an extension of their family life.

The menu is small and seasonal but with enough choices to satisfy their patrons.

Tarik, a well-versed chef with classical training orchestrates the kitchen as a one-man-band, beautifully plating exquisitely prepared foods with succulent sauces and accompaniments.

Bistro 1843 chose not to offer wine, instead allowing customers to bring their own without any corkage fee. This practice allows you to splurge on really top vintages that would otherwise be exorbitantly too expensive on a wine list.

My only regret is that we live so far away, otherwise we would absolutely become ‘one of their family’ and dine there often.

l'endroit est superbe, j'adore la convivialité d'une maison ancienne; ambiance chic mais relaxe.pas guindée.
Le service est courtois et très aimable.
Peu de choix au menu mais tous très bien apprétés. Le repas était très bon, classique sans flafla - très bon, mais pas mémorable. été 2022, les menus 3 services tournent autour de 50$-60$.
L'avantage c'est de pouvoir apporter son vin, le désavantage c'est de ne pas connaître le menu d'avance.

Had a delicious house salad and fantastic Salmon plate, and the most mazing flourless chocolate cake with peanut butter ice cream! Cozy restaurant, great comfy chairs. Wonderful experience!

Everything was impressive except main dishes for both my wife and I which could heve beem better. We ordered file minion and rib eye.

We have dined at bistro 1843 many time s for a good reason! Stellar home cooked meals using fresh ingredients. Owner chef and service in a comfortable atmosphere.be forewarned, Bistro 1843 is only open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday so you must reserve well in advance. Truely a wonderful culinary experience that should not be missed. DON'T forget it's BYOB so bring your wine!

Wow this is a very special place. I'm hoping I can do my birthday here in the summer time. Flawless in every aspect.

Difficile d'avoir une place il faut réserver très longtemps d'avance. Les repas ne valent pas le prix. Très ordinaire, quiconque pourrait faire la même chose à la maison. Si je suis pour payer quelque chose de plus cher, je m'attends à quelque chose de plus original. Service lent. Serveurs (es) pas très sympathiques. Je ne recommande pas.

They never disappoint in quality of food, ambiance and service. Family owned bring your own wine bistro.

I took the table d'hôte, which included an entre, a main dish, a dessert and a coffee. The salad was simple, but I did try my sister's soup and it was delicious. For the main dish I ordered white fish, which was placed on a bed of baked potatoes and veggies. Sounds simple, but it was de-licous. I couldn't make up my mind for dessert because everything sounded amazing from their selection. I finally settled for cake pudding.

Love this hidden gem. Very cozy and food is always amazing + a BYOB. It has a small homey setting and need to make reservations many weeks in advance but well worth the wait!

Called for a reservation for 14 for July 26th (5 weeks ago, hadn’t heard back; called back again tonight to confirm). Completely blew me off, didn’t bother offering me options for other nights/dates/times.very disappointed since I’ve been wanting (and telling ALL my friends) to go back to this restaurant for years now.looks like my party of 14+ will be dining elsewhere this year

Great place to enjoy amazing dishes that mainly prepared fresh and from the local ingredients.
Starting with fresh bread with salty butter and working your way to a soup/ salad with an optional entree or just dig into the main course and seal it with a mouthwatering dessert like their famous lemon cheesecake while supported with great service by a modest team but expert enough to ensure your enjoyment.

Fabulous. Nothing else to say. Scallops, rack of lamb and flourless chocolate cake. All to die for.

Beautiful converted old home with old but elegant chairs and delicious comfort foods elevated by using fresh ingredients and home made everything (sauce, salad dressing, desserts.). The creme brulee I had was out of this world and made in house. The rib eye steak was sublime, cooked medium rare. And you may bring your own wine. How great is that?
