Bistro Coqlicorne

Superbe expérience culinaire, le menu est très bien adapté aux saisons. La bière est excellente et des options locales sont disponibles. Le service est courtois et efficace, les serveuses et serveurs connaissent leurs produits. Il peut parfois être préférable de réserver. Les tables sont distribuées sur deux étages et une terrasse est présente à l'extérieur. Le menu des petit-déjeuners est sublime. Définitivement à recommander!

Excellent brunch, très original, service empressé. Nos petits enfants étaient les bienvenus.

I loved their patio, spacious, quaint, and cozy with just the right amount of intimacy.
The staff are friendly with engaging personalities.
Good value for the price range with a menu that has the staple favs and a few signature dishes. Awesome fries!

Such a cute place. Had their special, octoberfest sausage with a hot pretzel and small pasta with cheese sauce. Oooh, that cheese sauce is exactly how I make mine. So delicious will be back.

J'ai récemment mangé au restaurant CoqLicorne et j'ai été extrêmement satisfaite de mon expérience. Le service était incroyablement rapide et efficace, et la nourriture était tout simplement merveilleuse. J'ai opté pour la poutine qui était disponible sur le menu, et je dois dire que les saveurs étaient parfaitement équilibrées et fonctionnaient très bien ensemble.

De plus, j'ai été agréablement surprise de voir que mon verre d'eau était toujours rempli sans que j'aie besoin de le demander. Même si le restaurant était bondé pour un samedi, l'hôtesse et la serveuse ont réussi à maintenir un excellent service, ce qui est assez impressionnant.

Je recommande vivement le restaurant CoqLicorne à tous ceux qui cherchent un endroit pour manger avec une ambiance agréable, un service exceptionnel et une nourriture délicieuse. Je suis impatiente de retourner dans cet établissement à l'avenir!

Went for dinner. It was our first time there in a while. Previously I had only been for lunch - which is always good - and dinner was unreal! My hubby had duck and I had arancini, both were fantastic. Generous portions at very reasonable prices. We also both got a ton of local mushrooms on our plate. The duck came with risotto on the side - talk about deal! Went I asked for help selecting a wine, the server brought over 2 different options for me to try, which I always appreciate. As a result I ordered something totally different than what I normally would have chosen.

This place is awesome and great value! Highly recommend!

Excellent food. Interesting options, tasted well, cozy interior. I had tuna tartar and it was pretty different to all the ones that I had before because of a gentle a bit sweet sauce and usage of cucumbers. The cheesecake with white chocolate and berries was pretty good as well, even though the crust was not crispy. Be prepared that the menu is only in French though. Probably better to reserve in advance or come at a bit earlier time.

While exploring the sentier cultural, we decided to check out this place for supper. It did not disappoint. We sat outside on the patio under the tree. So beautiful! Great service! Diverse, unique menu. I tried an Avril Sour drink and chose duck dumplings, which came with a salad. Delicious! My partner had a La Morsure beer and burger of the day accompanied by fries and coleslaw, which also did not disappoint. Highly recommend this bistro.

Everything was absolutely amazing! The service was excellent, the food was gorgeous and very delicious.

Always great food, fancy recipes that makes going to Coqlicorne special! I recommend this place to anyone who wishes a special taste! 10/10. Hooo! And check out the beer menu, there's something for everyone!

I've been here a few times but it was the first time for brunch. Smaller menu, but thankfully the bar was fully operational!
They have a few local craft brews on tap, and of course mimosas.
The menu choices may be small, but just look at the pictures for the size of the plates! I took the french toast grilled cheese pulled pork sandwich (!) and I liked it, and certainly never had a combo like this before.
All of our plates were good, but in some cases it lacked a bit of seasoning. Thankfully they have a few hot sauces available.
Plates aren't cheap - 15-18$ for breakfast - but the size of the plates and overall quality make it worth it. Excellent service too. The poutines are apparently quite good, too.

The food was absolutely amazing! The best poutine in Canada! Duck salad 100 purely amazing! This is my new favorite restaurant in Canada! The smoke the meat so it's extra tasty. This place just turned me into a foody! A must visit when in Ottawa! First visit parliament building then this place oh screw parliament visit here first! The service was friendly and impeccably helpful.

I don’t rate restaurants often but they did such an amazing job I had to! I had the smoked duck over squash risotto which was honestly the best duck I’ve had.for SUCH a good price! The atmosphere was great, and you genuinely felt like you were eating with family. I can’t sing enough praises about this place; I will be back for sure, especially to try their new seasonal features!

Great location, near Ottawa River. Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly customer service, nice terrace and athmosphere.

Simple, homey outdoor seating area and unventilated indoors. Waiters were in a good mood. I sat outside in a wobbly table and dirty chair (I had to use the paper napkin on the table to clean it). I ordered the duck, which was served with a delicious risotto. I am glad I tried Coqlicorne but I doubt I’ll be back.

Bistro Coqlicorne is pure quality. Menu changing seasonally. Never disappoints. Brunch, dinner, apps. You should just come.

Lovely cozy place. In summer they have a relatively large patio. Food came out fairly quickly despite there being many patrons in the patio. There is no air con inside so in summer it is best to sit outside. Waiters can speak French and English though they prefer French.

I have been here several times! Twice on their special poutine nights which are on Tuesdays.

Their burger is quite good and comes with fries and salad. We have also ordered the Arancini and crab cake. This time we ordered the duck risotto (large) and the poutine with short ribs (large). Both were delish but the risotto was the clear winner. I wish the fries on my poutine would stay hot longer. Also wish they were more Crisp and not as soggy.

Overall the risotto was the best. There were beets, mushrooms and a good amount of cheese. Definitely one to re- order.

The food is very well priced and simply delicious. This is a must visit for any foodies looking for a twist on classic fare; It's hearty, filling, and scrumptious.

Nice terrace, friendly service, large portions and reasonably priced wine. Practice your French and order the canard, s'il vous plait; c'est magnifique.

Il n'y a pas énormément de choix et ce n'est pas un menu classique, mais c'était très bon. Attention allergies aux noix, il y en a dans certains repas et ça diminue le choix pour ceux allergiques. Mais j'ai mentionné mon allergie et ils ont fait attention. Très bon service.

Adorable petit Bistro dans le Vieux-Hull. Les serveurs et serveuses sont fort sympathiques et le menu est très original. Ils ont souvent des bières locales ou importées différentes alors si vous aimez essayer de nouvelles saveurs, c'est votre place! Les mardis, ils font une soirée poutines originales, vous ne voulez pas manquer ça! Si vous y allez l'hiver, je recommande de faire une réservation car l'été il y a plus de place avec la mignonne terrasse mais c'est assez limité l'hiver.

Nice setting on the Québec side of the Ottawa River. We went for brunch on Sunday morning and were impressed by the service and the food: no waiting time and large plates of delicious servings

Busy place with good artisanal beer selection and a varied menu where everyone can find something to eat. There's a little patio on the side as well.

It was just ok. There's no air conditioning so in a hot day it's pretty sweltering. Service was friendly. Ribs were tough and the poutine, though tasty, was a bit sodden.

The same food cost $5more than in nearby restaurants. Difference in prices between a menu and bils. So loud.

One of my favourite restaurants in Canada! I have dinner here at least once a month (whenever I'm in town). It's always great. I love the menu. The service is wonderful and it's always really busy. Great place!

Food was excellent, but service was really terrible. It almost seemed like they were intentionally not acknowledging us. Then they let our food sit in plain site at the window of the kitchen for 10 minutes before finally bothering to bring it to our table. May have just been a one off incident, not sure

J'ai été assez déçu de ce bistro. Le menu est extrêmement limité, et l'intérieur est assez petit et n'a rien de particulièrement attrayant. Je m'attendais à plus. Vous pouvez certainement y aller pour prendre un verre, mais compte tenu des nombreuses autres options du Vieux Hull à proximité, je me serais attendu à ce que ce bistro se démarque un peu plus.

I love this gastropub. The food is so good. There arancinis, the porc belley and apple grill cheese are out of this world. Good drink selection. Amazing quality to price ratio.
