Un excellent repas dans une ambiance intime et décontractée, avec un service hors-pair (un gros merci à Romain). On a hâte d'y retourner.

La sélection de vins est particulièrement intéressante.

Ordered takeout. The moisture in the sausage has been lost and it has become salty. The same goes for chicken leg. Not too much parts of this leg can be eated.
First of all, I really like this restaurant. At least most of the time, the dishes remained tender and juicy, a far cry from today's mediocre experience.

It's a really nice place. The food is delicious. And the service is excellent.
Was a little slow, but I took into consideration that there was just one person working. And he was smiling, treating everyone really well, being so gentle. He makes a great difference in all the experience. I just forgot to ask his name. But that french guy working alone in the restaurant full, makes me like the place more.

We absolutely love this place! We came twice for brunch and had an excellent experience both time. The owners recommended to share dishes and that was perfect. We loved the Mish Mash the most and everything was super fresh and tasty. The fresh orange juice is amazing too!
The service was so friendly and accommodating and gave us very good recommandation.

It definitively became one of our go-to brunch and planning on bringing all our friends! Can't wait to try it out for dinner too!

I am from the Balkans and this place brought me home.

I had banitca, shopska salad and mesana skara and it was all 5/5.

Great place. Cute, quiet. Food was fantastic. Our server was amazing, it was slammed and he was on his own and still had such attention to detail. He gave us great suggestions and pairings and was just overall a delight.

Delicious food - great to get the plates you can share. Our server last night was awesome, he hustled and gave great recommendations. It’s not loud as well which is perfect. We will go back for sure!

I got the tripe soup as an entree. The soup was huge and lots of tripes! I think it was veal tripes. It was a new dish I tried, just wasn't my style. For my main meal, I got turkish soujouk. It was good, but was a bigger fan of the fries! A friend of mine got the chicken of the day marinated in alcohol, he enjoyed it. Another friend got a meat platter, he wasn't a fan of the huge chop, but liked the sausage roll and the other meat. The atmosphere was great at the restaurant with great eastern european music. The waitress was really nice and explained to us the menu and each dish properly! Overall, was a great experience, just that some dishes weren't to our taste, but I'm sure people who like them would enjoy them!

Very good food with polite and professional waiter. Just took 3 hours to get our food. Would recommend not coming with a large group rather a couple or foursome.

Mauvais choix que l'on regrette. Attente, attente.deux uniques employés pour honorer un resto trop rempli. Gastronomie passable. Sans vouloir détruire un commerce honnête et travaillant pour une soirée je dirais qu'il y a matière à améliorer.

What a lovely place! We came for Sunday jazz brunch - the food was delicious and homemade, the music delightful and we even got to meet the owner. The place itself has a charming little yard with outside seating. Everyone was so welcoming. I highly recommend the banitza, and the mekitzi!

Nous y sommes allés pour le brunch et nous sommes sortis ravis. Les produits sont frais et exquis. Les mimosas sont délicieux! Le service très attentionné. Leur petite terrasse offre beaucoup d’intimité.

Sofia Bistro is a must try restaurant in a lovely part of Montreal. Authentic Bulgarian food, fantastic service, and a palpable at home vibe will guarantee you a memorable experience. Do yourself a favour and get the fries, or risk staring longingly at the plates of others.

Such a joy to find a bulgarian bistro where the food is prepared with such love. Many classic dishes are available and the chef/staff created a great atmosphere and were happy to discuss yogurt, bulgarian wines and other national delights.

I really like this neighborhood place. Nothing fancy, but nice, hearty Bulgarian food, served by a friendly owner. Brunch is served with delicious bread and a variety of fruit. You want to have this kind of place near home.

Nice cozy restaurant, the food is as authentic as it gets. Service is really good as the owner's wife is waiting on the tables. The owner seems is the only cook and he prepares everything from scratch, so be aware that it may take longer than usual for your food to arrive, but once it does you won't be disappointed.

Great service, hearty food and respectable portions makes this restaurant an easy recommendation for fans of Bulgarian cuisine.

Went to this restaurant last night for a reservation for a large group birthday gathering. While I understand the large group may have been stressful, waiting close to 3 hours for food, an hour for a bottle of wine is not okay under any condition. After waiting for our food for hours, we got served half frozen fries with fake feta on them, in addition to them forgetting various peoples meals and sides. It was extremely discouraging to ask the waiter to order and they tell us to wait 3 times, while we are sitting there on an empty stomach until 10 o'clock at night. Food servings, such as the Hallumi Salad was barely a serving and was made up of raw onions and a few cucumbers, hardly a salad, let alone a meal. This restaurant missed out on a very large tip from a large group and lost 13 future customers as this was a very disappointing experience all around.

Exceptional restaurant, food as authentic and tasty as I have tried in Bulgaria. Beautiful cozy interior décor, and generous owner. The French young lady at the counter the day I visited could use a bit of training in hospitality because she seemed a bit distant or even confused at my presence, but it's still a 5 stars from me, and I would order for my friends and family from here again.

Resto sympathique avec une belle variété de plats. Le feta chaud et la banitza ont tout simplement été un vrai délice.

Nous avons mangé au Bistro Sofia hier car nous cherchions quelque chose d'original, de bon et d'accueillant. Ce fut un succès sur tous les plans.
Comme le restaurant était achalandé nous avons attendu longtemps pour les plats à partager que nous avions commandé. Mais notre serveuse (qui était peut-être la propriétaire) est venu s'en excuser plusieurs fois et nous a même apporté des amuses bouches offerts par la maison. Au final, nous avons reçu un service absolument impeccable, le cadre est vraiment charmant, et la nourriture délicieuse. Nous reviendrons souvent et je recommande l'expérience.

Peut-être ma meilleure expérience culinaire à Montréal, les plats sont simples, savoureux et sans prétention. Tout est fait sur commande et le cuisinier prend le temps de venir en personne s'occuper de ses clients. Pas de Uber ici, le cuisinier connait ses clients! C'est simple et authentique.

Nice outdoor seating area. Food is very good and owner such a sweet man. There was a bit of a mishap with one of our lamb orders and he offered us baklava on the house! Please encourage this local business - they have been hit hard with covid and deserve our support!

Excellent Bulgarian food. You can seat inside or at the small terrace outside.
Small restaurant, relaxed service, no-one will bother you to finish eating and go. You can take your time enjoying the food and the wine.
Excellent value for money.
