I have been banking @ this brand for an extended period of time.

I went in today @ 430pm & was subjected to the worse customer service not from the teller but from the “MANAGER” who wouldn’t bother to talk to me as she stands already ready to leave work & it’s not even 5pm yet. While her colleague was struggling to help clients & myself.

What should’ve been a simple transaction became a needlessly complicated!

While the teller was assisting me she required assistance from supervisor/manager who later came over & was very dismissive & distracted then with absolutely no communication to me the client she LEFT leaving. Me & the teller to simply hand me a paper about an account update with absolutely no verbal communication or explanation.

Only at my insistence that the manager came over again & proceeded to be surly rude & unprofessional!

This interaction was very poorly handled with a very bad attitude & no regard for valuing clients needs.

Service here is sometimes friendly and helpful, sometimes not so much. If you need to do something quickly, it often is not possible because staffing levels seem pretty low. If you need to get through by telephone, that can be time consuming as well. The telephone system at Bank of Montreal puts you through several levels of unnecessary voicemail prompts simply to make a call to the local branch, and once you get through, the odds seem very high that you’ll get yet another voicemail message saying everyone is busy, so you must leave a message. This was true for me today, even though I had an urgent need for a banking service and telephoned them the minute the bank branch opened. Not impressed.

I’ve never experienced such a poor banking experience. Flabbergasted by the lack of professionalism displayed by the employee I’ve dealt with.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am a long time BMO customer, but when I had an urgent matter no one got back to me despite numerous calls and messages. As soon as my mortgage is up for renewal I am gone!

Everytime an one of my fellow employees comes to drop off our deposits she’s always told to wait when she was first in line.it’s every single time, it’s horrible service.

The staff, more specifically Dennis Contreras, racially profiled my mom and refused her service.

My mother has POA on my grandmother's account. My grandma was in the hospital and asked my mom to make a withdrawal for her. When my mom went in she was asked by the teller why she was making the withdrawal, she was honest and explained my grandmother's situation and what the money will be used for. The teller then refused my mother of service. My mom asked to speak to a supervisor because she didn't understand why she was being refused if she has had POA over the account for years. Dennis Contreras then said something along the line of "you know how Spanish people are, they fight for their parents money when they're passing away". It was completely unprofessional and very hurtful especially coming from someone Hispanic. We have tried to escalate this complaint and nothing has been done. It is sad to see that BMO supports racism.

Quand tu passes chercher du change et déposer de l'argent pour ta société, ce n'est pas possible dixit l'employé car la machine est en panne et la banque n'accepte pas plus de 100$ en dépôt (!?) Tu repasses 2 jours apres et c' est la même histoire. Les mots "service clients" ne sont pas connus à cette agence

Okay first off I always go to the branch on Monkland. It's nearby and very convenient.
Second, a person is working at the bank that honestly helped me so much recently that I have not had the chance to thank her in person. Hopefully, I get to one of these days.
I hope this person gets a raise soon or a promotion because she honestly saved me so much time and her advice was spot on. It happened on May 26th, 2021. Just honestly a wonderful person who helped me out of kindness and I think that needs to be rewarded. If I can get in touch with the manager or owner to tell them about this experience so they can let that person know it would be amazing. I was thinking of bringing the person flowers just to say thank you but that seemed a bit to far and I don't want it to come of the wrong way. I was a victim of fraud and she gave the best advice and talked to me for a bit to understand the situation she went out of her and dropped what she was doing to help me out. I have nothing but respect for that employee and that alone should show people that it's a 5 star branch.

Worst experience. Bank manager looks like he’s in high school and couldn’t make change for a 20 for laundry money. That is an EXCLUSIVE service for BMO clients. This is why im not and never will be a BMO client. I went to TD BANK next door which did it gladly even though I am with RBC and CIBC. Imagine the training wasted on this moron. Someone comes into his bank to get help, and he says “sorry go next door” lol so i opened a savings and business account with TD while I was there.

Very slow, maybe not always but I been there twice and it was long, second time I couldn't wait anymore and I left (wasn't the only one that left the line up btw)

Different from other Canadian banks, BMO records and stores your voice imprint without asking your permission. Then later they tell you they will delete it if you ask them to, but there is no way to confirm they have done so. They also improperly demand that you agree to a credit check when you open an account, after which they share your contact and other info with the credit bureau which in turn shares it with various companies. BMO is not a good place to do retail banking, in my experience.

This BMO branch on Monkland is not answering calls, and there is no way to leave a message (the mail box is full, is the message I received). So apparently I would have to physically go to the branch even with Covid symptoms. Nice job, BMO.

Exceptional Customer service at this branch is clearly being taught by example coming from the top. The Manager, Vitaly is the best.

The new BMO hours are awful. Anybody working a regular 9-5 job cannot visit the branch, and they don't offer customer service (by phone) on weekends. I will be looking to switch banks ASAP and transferring / closing my accounts with the BMO. I should not need to take a day off of work to visit the bank. This is ridiculous. Anybody considering joining BMO, run for the hills. I have other friends with bad experiences as well!

I never taught I would write such a negative review to what used to be my favorite BMO branch. I moved away from NDG and still decided to come here, only to be served by a rude employee by Mrs. A. D.
A very disappointing experience, I will never come back again.

Je garde un TRÈS mauvais souvenir de mon passage dans cette succursale comme employé de novembre 2001 à janvier 2002! Sinon, rien à redire sur le service à la clientèle, avenant et cordial. Bonne journée!

Étant leur client depuis plus de 8 ans avec un compte bancaire étudiant, aujourd'hui, je veux plus ne rien savoir du Banque BMO, et en particulier cette banque-là! Après une longue période d'attente, aujourd'hui, j'aurais dû recevoir mon prêt d'étudiant dans mon compte bancaire de BMO. Mais deviner quoi? Ils ont fermé mon compte sans AUCUN préavis juste pour quelques dollars de frais en retard (1 mois depuis 8 ans). Je comprends qu'il faut que je paye les frais, et j'aurais payé même les pénalités. Mais, fermer mon compte avec 0 préavis c'est absurde. Sur leur plateforme, je reçois toute sorte de courriel à propos des promos, mais aucun courriel sur l'état de mon compte. C’est incroyable à quel point cette banque n’a 0 du respect pour ces clients.

Every interaction I have with the staff here is positive, and I feel like they go out of their way to help me. Love this branch!
