Nous avons pris un menu 8 services avec accord « sans alcool » et ce fut une magnifique surprise. Tout était bien exécuté. Nous avions envie de plats raffinés et d’un long souper à discuter et savourer et tout était parfait. Nous avions des attentes élevées car nous avions adoré le Cadet, et n’avons pas été déçus. Merci!

Je viens au Bouillon Bilk depuis les tous débuts et c'est un de mes restos gastronomique préféré à Montréal. Jamais déçu. La qualité du service couplée à la qualité des plats est extraordinaire.

Pour la première fois hier nous avons réservé le midi. Nous avons pris la table d'hôte. My god que c'était bon. Tout était parfait. La meilleure bavette que j'ai mangée.

This was an amazing experience. I have been wanting to try their table d'hôtes for years and they did not disappoint. The star was the capalleti and the beef tartar. Simply outstanding

This tasting menu was incredible. We tried a few highly-rated tasting menus while in town and BB blew the others out of the water. Each element on each dish was cooked perfectly. The menu was interesting and service paced just right. Just an exceptional place. Eat here asap!

We dined here last week. One of the best meals of the trip. The chef really understands how important acidity is to great food. The bread is made in house and is among the best I ever had, they even gave us a boule to go. I loved everything and our server was awesome.

Amazon scallop. The linguine was great too. So was the fish. Everything was great! Great service too. If I go back to Montreal I am going back to bouillon bilk again.

When looking at restaurants like this, I always assume that they are overrated or hyped up more than they should. However, I was highly mistaken because this place lives up to the expectation. The 8 course tasting menu was a stunning array of cuisine that left little to be desired afterward. The service was great, with everyone being friendly and answering any questions we had about the dishes. If you are looking for a high-end dinner, then definitely take this place into high consideration!

Amazing meal! Highly recommend the lobster bisque and the scallops. Our server was a great help with selecting wines to complement our meals.

One of the best fine dining experience I've ever had in Canada. They have a simple and modern menu and an extensive wine list. The atmosphere was relaxing and unpretentious.

Can't say anything bad about this place. Best food I have had in a very long time. Took the 5 services option and ever single plate made us craving for more. Delicious, exciting flavours, definitely worth the Price.

It was on my must visit list for a while. The place is great, and food tastes really well. We had the vegetarian taster's menu and they catered some unique vegetarian dishes which were superb. For the price, I would say the ambience felt a bit too cramed and the food portions can be a bit larger. Overall great expeeice and the hosts we had very great and made sure of every tiny detail to be perfect.and, plus 1 for the choice of wine they paired with our food! Do make a reservation early if you plan on going.

Don’t let the minimalist interior fool you, this is haute cuisine with beautiful plating and a tasting menu that takes you through a journey of refined tastes. Reservations are highly recommended as they are busy every night of the week.

C'est tout simplement incroyable. Niveau étoilé Michelin, sans aucun doute. J'ai fait des centaines de restaurant en France, en Europe et en Amérique du Nord, des grandes tables, etc. Celui-ci est une véritable surprise, sous tous les aspects, et l'un de mes favoris. Le cadre est simple et efficace, le service est parfait, en commençant par une présentation détaillée des plats. Et la créativité du chef est à couper le souffle, c'est fin, c'est bon, c'est surprenant, c'est original. En résumé, ne manquez pas cet endroit.

Their sea scallops dish was the best scallops I've ever had. Really exceptional. I had to turn down dessert because I didn't want to ruin the lingering taste on my pallette.

It was my first visit, went for my bf birthday. From outside it is hard to recognize the place. The street doesn't show really the rating of this restaurant at all. When in, we had a nice table for 2. The place is cosy, nice vibes. Some decoration would be better if added. The service is excellent and the food so tasty. We took the 8 dishes degustation. This is a must when you go there. We were full at the end and happy for what we had. Thank you for this incredible experience!

First date place (if shes easily impressed). Service is amateur hour. Sommelier is easily intimidated by even a weak knowledge of wine. Low ceilings and Ikea decor with Joe Beef prices.

Lieu de premier rendez-vous (si elle est facilement impressionnée). Le service plus amateur. Le sommelier est facilement intimidé par moins de faible connaissance du vin. Plafonds bas et déco ikea à prix Joe Beef.

The experience here was truly exceptional and one of the best food experiences we have ever had. For starters, all the servers and staff were professional, charismatic and exceptional knowledgeable on all the dishes. The food was absolutely sensational. We got the 8 course taster menu and each course was offered both a unique combination and an explosion of flavor. The octopus and the white chocolate corn dessert were our personal favorites. The drinks were also great. Overall, I cannot recommend bouillon bilk highly enough!

Amazing food and service. Highly recommend their tasting menu with wine pairing to try out multiple items on the menu. Sommelier was very knowledgeable and the wine pairings were perfect. Our waiter was very friendly as well. A must-try!

One of our best French cuisine experience, with more than reasonable price (lunch menu at $45 per person).

We made reservation a couple days in advance and were able to secure a spot to our surprised, as we heard this place is pretty busy.

The interior decor is very minimalist and the ceiling is rather low. The good thing is the chairs are very comfy!

Their wine list is EXTENSIVE! I am not able to read through it and we just asked our server to recommend a white wine, based on what we usually enjoy. We were both very satisfied with the staff's recommendation (it was $61 for a bottle, very fairly priced).

The lunch set menu comes in English and French (one side is French, flip it over and you'll see the English version). There's also an a la cart menu but we opt for the set menu.

They explained the ingredients in each dish and all dishes are presented so nice that we felt we shouldn't be eating it! Just like an art!

Even tho there's "only" 4 courses, and each course portion is small, we left with full belly.

We enjoyed most courses, all the flavours are very balanced and have a surprise factor in each dish; except the dessert, as I personally do not like ginger and cinnamon.

We arrived around 1: 30pm, and stayed till 4pm. We were the last table but we were not rushed to leave the restaurant.

The washroom is cleaned but the a lower ceiling. Also, they provide towels instead of tissue paper to dry your hands. It's environmental friendly, but if they can put clear sign regarding which basket we should throw the used towels, will be even better.

Overall, it's a must try if you get to visit this restaurant, and their lunch menu is definitely a steal at $45 pp.

Every dish is perfect in this restaurant. It was for my boyfriend's birthday and the waiter gave his a surprise dessert for all of us. Not just food is excellent, everyone in the restaurant are nice and our waiter gave us the perfect experience during the dinner. Recommended the wine paring for the tasting menu.

I had the 5 course tasting menue with paired drinks. Linguine, Hiramasa, and everything else was exquisite.
Would definitely recommend and definitely come back.

Went there for dinner this week. I was SO surprised how good it was and very affordable! I can almost say that this is one of the best restaurant i've been in Montreal. The service is 10/10! The only thing I would change is the outside&inside look, It looks all beige/bland but I think this is the look they are going for. I will bring family to eat there for sure!

Pretentious, mediocre service. They just tried to hard and couldn't find their own spot. Food good, but seemed forced to be "creative". Too many flavours in one plate. Not impressed.
Needs to get more real. Maybe good for food esthetes. The tartar tasted just of fermented beans. What can I say more?

I can’t say enough about the staff and the food! We came for the coursed dinner on our honeymoon and every dish was an explosion of unique flavour. The courses were plated to perfection with delicate touches that gave each item a unique twist. Unfortunately we had to leave unexpectedly and were unable to complete all 8 courses but the staff were accommodating and very understanding. I seriously cannot pick a favourite because it was all incredible!

The sashimi plate was aromatic and intriguing, the hand-made cappelletti about the best I’ve had, and the lamb was tender and surrounded by delicious roasted vegetables, all suffused in a delicate wine reduction sauce. The service was classy and attentive, and the decor properly subdued.

Made a reservation for a special occasion with proof through Resy but upon arrival they did not have the reservation nor did they offer any accommodation or any effort to make it right… Will never go back or recommend.

J'y suis aller mardi Depuis la réouverture des salles à manger, encore au top!
Les entrées, les plats et les dessert sont tres beau, très bon me font découvrir de nouvelles saveurs à chaque visite.
Le personnel est très professionnel et donne de bons conseils.
Bref, mon resto préféré à Montréal!

Un délice plein de fraîcheur. Super service sympathique sans snobisme ou prétention. Si je dois trouver un bémol? Servir le cocktail à la mezcal dans un autre verre.autrement, il était excellent!

Super soirée, le service était excellent et professionnel. La nourriture divin et la composition des plats étaient de bon goût et attrayante. Les propositions de vins étaient incroyable. Vraiment bon, j'y retourne.

Si fantastique, I wish we had something like this back in Western New England. Never overwhelmingly one flavor but a fine balanced pallet of different ingredients with superb presentation and atmosphere. Will return next time I am around Montreal

My wife and I drove up from Vermont to have dinner at Bouillon Bilk having previously dined at Cadet, their sister restaurant. Expectations were high, and those expectations were exceeded in every way. From the beginning we were expertly hosted by all staff members. Our coats were taken with care, and our table was ready for us. The server graciously switched between French and English indulging my desire to speak French while accommodating my wife's lack of French very nicely. He was jovial and friendly, as well as informative and patient. We both enjoyed the tasting menu, with my wife adding the wine pairing. Each wine was perfect for the plate it accompanied, and I was happy to take a taste, although it is my wife who is the wine drinker. The food was, in a word, superlative. Truly art on a plate, equally beautiful to look at as to eat with ample attention paid to both aspects. I was impressed by the chef's ability to incorporate myriad flavors and textures into each dish, with layer upon layer of discovery with each bite, but without overwhelming or making the plates too "busy. " Balance is the operative word on each carefully crafted plate, and each element is perfectly prepared.

A meal at Bouillon Bilk is de rigeur if you are in the neighborhood, or even if, like us, you are not.

Excellent restaurant that serves me the best trout I've ever had. All of the food was tasty, perfectly balanced and that wine that was serve was perfect. The services was friendly and professional at the same time.

I would certainly go back.

I am so happy to found this restaurant. I was nervous because my tourist outfit.:)
Annie welcome me and explained each of menus.it was so nice of her.

I was going to eat light food but I decide to eat appetizer and main dish. The appetizer was really nice and Broccoli was very yummy.

I recommend this place!
include tip was around $43. If I stay more longer I would definitely try this place again.

Bouillon Bilk in downtown Montréal is the embodiment of sophisticated Molecular Gastronomy. The venue is categorically classified as "eclectic" and rightfully so. My visit on New Year's Eve of '16 is a memory that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. A local recommendation that in hindsight, I am grateful for investigating. Small, intimate floor-plan with gracious accommodations. Staff was hospitable towards my non-native dialect of French & also spoke English. Expect a world-class selection of menu items. During the eve of the New Year '16, a full 8 course tasting list headlined. Of which, contained exotic fare: pink pepper, truffle, caicotta- to reference a few. Foie Gras & meat based offerings were substituted for pesce per request. Of which, integrated flawlessly into the entire causal sequence. Those with alternative dietary preferences can rest assured that tasting list items can be substituted. Needless to say, staff was not exaggerating when mentioning that the chef is nominated #1 in Quebéc. Strong emphasis placed on presentation and phenomenal flavor combinations are standard practice here. Bouillon Bilk is a star in Montréal's food scene & represented the fireworks preluding my New Year.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant after reading so many great reviews and I'm so glad we did! We had their tasting menu and wine pairing. Every single dish was amazing and blew our taste buds away. It is rare to find a restaurant we absolutely loved every dish and left us wanting more. We are so lucky to be able to make reservations just the night before and try their delicious food and tasty wines. We will definitely be back next time we're in Montreal. Thank you for the memorable experience!

Excellent restaurant.i would recommend it for sure, but i wasn’t blown away by the food:
the duck: taste was amazing with amazing sauces, mushrooms, sautéed onions.had a thick layer of fat if you’re into that.it was medium rare to rare
beef and lobster: the beef was rare and nothing to write home about.lobster wasn’t amazing either
corn dessert: consisted of “corn ice cream”, blueberries, a carmel popcorn-type items, small sugary fluffy doughnut holes
overall: great meal but forgettable.ambiance is nice in there with soul/funk music.seating is pretty close together (similar to a manhattan restaurant)

This was one of the best meals we’ve had in quite some time. The food is top notch, some very exotic items that you won’t find anywhere else and prepared to perfection. The wine list was quite good also, even found a rare bottle from Italy that we were not familiar with, and it was quite tasty too!
