Boulangerie Premiere Moisson

I've lived in NDG my whole life, and in the last year or two, the food quality at this boulangerie has gone so down hill that its become a joke in our household.

My boyfriend (who lives in the UK) flew to visit me in the summer, and my mom wanted him to try some Quebecois comfort food, so she bought a quiche and a meat pie. Both were tasteless, and my mom and I were so embarrassed. But we didn't decide to leave a bad review, since it could have just been a miss.

Yesterday was my birthday, and my mom bought the black forest yule log from this establishment. I can't even begin to describe the disappointment. My mom bought the cake because she's been sick and couldn't bake one herself, so this wasn't the usual birthday cake I would get.

It tastes like nothing. 50% of the cake is whipped cream (that has most of the flavor in the cake, not a good sign) 45% a weird tiramisu-textured cake (that had a hint of chocolate flavor, like a bar of chocolate farted in the direction of the cake), and the last 5% was a jelly layer that faintly tasted of cherries. It tasted exactly like the E. D Smith premade cherry pie filling, but if it were put through a blender and mixed with water.

It's giving.smooth pb&j. Does it look nice? Yeah. Does it taste nice? No. I could have made a better cake. I don't know how to bake. Also, the cake was something outrageous, like 55$ for the large one (the one my mom got).

It sucks to buy a bad cake, but it's even worse when it's a birthday cake: (

We might just bake something or buy a new cake from a different store when things open back up. If you're looking to get a birthday cake, consider just buying elsewhere. Even grocery store cake tastes better, such a disappointment, especially for the price!

Boulangerie et pâtisserie très accessible par le transport en commun et autres. On y trouve presque tout en matière de viennoiseries. Le personnel est accueillant et professionnel.

I bought a sandwich that was supposed to have a sauce on it and got it to go and when I got home the sandwich was completely dry.no sauce nothing.disgusting.and it was a 9$ sandwich

Nous avons ramené deux baguettes car très peu, voir pas du tout de sel dedans. On nous a signalé qu’à première moisson ils ne mettent pas de sels dans leur pain! Que peut- être il n’y avait que nos baguettes qui n’en avaient pas Et tout cela sans nous proposer de les remplacer ou autre…. Désolant ….

Ordered catering at Premiere Moisson Monkland. Good room temp/cold appetizers for a work 5 à 7. Especially loved and appreciated the service of Jessica who helped me with placing my order and ensuring it went through. And at pick up (48hrs later) helped me bring everything to my car. Thank you so much for making it happen, Jessica!

The service here is very confusing and inefficient, the croissants leave a residue on your palette, and the coffee is pretty average. I guess it would have been ok if this was just another boulangerie, but PM’s so hyped and i don’t understand why. The trio chocolat is good though.

I have been coming to this Premier Moisson on Monkland for at least 10yrs plus… my family and I love the bread, pastries, cakes, cookies…all are so very fresh & delicious. It is my go to place for bread and deserts.
A few weeks ago I did an order on line, 2 platters of mini croissants and chocolatins, however when I arrived to pick them up my order was totally wrong… the store was giving me 2 platters of assorted larger pastries such as danishes etc… not at all what I ordered or wanted. However I had no choice but to accept them because it was for my uncles funeral that day and it was to serve with coffee at the funeral home
A few days later I ended up sending my review to the store as I was still so disappointed and sad with the wrong order. Plus nobody ate them because they were just too large and too sweet, not at all what we liked in pastries.
A few days later after my review to the store, the manager (Julias) called me and sincerely apologized and asked me to stop by the store as he wanted to personally apologize & compensate me for the error his store made.
Well today I went back to the store and met with Julias. He repeatedly apologized & compensated me for the incorrect order I had received, plus he took care of my order today!
Julias made my day today and really made me feel like an important special customer. He wanted me to know how important I was and he didn't want to loose me as a client because of an isolated error. He insisted and told me he wanted to make it right and he did!
Julias is an amazing manager that truly cares for his customers and goes above and beyond to make things right!
In today’s world there are not many managers who would take the time out of their busy day to call and meet with a customer in person.
Thank you again Julias for making my day today! It meant a lot to me and my family, you truly are a class act

Excellent service! Les pâtisseries, pains et croissants sont exquis. Le café est délicieux! Ce que j’adore est l’arôme du pain frais…

Je l'adore toujours mon coin preferer dans n'importe quel coin a montreal.

They always seem to have less products and much less selection than other Premiere moisson bakery shops (like the Atwater market). Even the one on Queen Mary has more to choose from. Parking is a nightmare. Could be just a makeshift store front by name selling mainly goods made elsewhere.

Anna was with with Jen and I for this one sharing pictures of her recent trip to the Dominican Republic. Good little cakes and tea. We had fun!

Décidément le service ne s'améliore pas à cette boulangerie! Les responsables devraient aller en stage à la Première Moisson du Marché Atwater - eux autres ils l'ont l'affaire!

Great food. There were a lot of people so it took time for my order to be processed, but they had a lot of staff working as quickly as they could so it's not too much of an issue.

Mauvais service de la part d’un homme qui semblait être le propriétaire. Il nous a pressé à acheté en nous disant qu’il fermait dans 3 minutes. Ensuite il nous a avertis mon amie de monter son masque alors qu’elle ouvrait son téléphone pour payer. Il ne nous a pas dit merci ou au revoir lorsque nous sommes partie. Je regrette d’avoir acheté et de les avoirs encouragés. J’habite dans le quartier, mais suite à cette expérience je ne compte pas y retourner. Très mauvaise façon de fidéliser des clients

Each time I visit Montreal this place is a definite stop over for me. Delicious Almond croissants and baked goodies. Very classy and good friendly bakery and helpful staff. A definite must see bakery.

Délicieux. Pour qu'il soit le meilleur possible, le truc c'est de venir les chercher tôt le matin quand ils sont encore chaud et que c'est la première fournée.

Product and customer service were excellent but line was out of control 2 or more peoples skipped the line had to wait more then expected.

Today I was refused to be served by Marco or Marcel, don't remember his exact name (assistant manager) who played the role of sanitizer police in the store.

So that mr.assistant manager is informed, there is no law in the province of Quebec which mandates store owners to require mandatory sanitizer use for its customers.

Thanks to mr.assistant manager, my daughter was late for school because I was not able to purchase her lunch at the store.

On the other hand, baguettes use to taste pretty good and now they taste like pure yeast.

Sometimes bread has salty taste. Overall their bread taste really good!

Customers service in this particular place is really poor, unsatisfied. The old lady (with blond highlights) don’t even greet me and just staring as if I was about to steal something. Really a poor service! I don’t know if she’s working or she’s just on a holiday striking for customers to get nothing! Like the item I want was already finished and the lady didn’t even proposed anything or just even informative about the products.like they were 6-7 at the counter. Usually when I come to premiere moisson people suggests things for me and I buy it! And It was only 3- 4 this time and it was 5: 30 in the afternoon. Anyways just ranting, but never gonna go back in this store again and I’ll make sure to tell my friends not to go here! Thank you. I assume the lady was the owner cuz she acted as if she owns the store, literally! Not exaggerating!

Delicious fresh and beautiful croissants, great coffee. Friendly and welcoming service. Absolutely amazing pastries, lots of lovely breads and specialty preserves.

How incredibly disappointed I was with my order of cappuccino served in a very tiny cup and accompanied by an underbaked chocolate almond croissant. All in addition to an olive bread that tasted as if it was on preservatives overload.
At this particular locale, I was at least hoping for a welcoming terrace; unfortunately disappointed there too. Last time giving this place another chance.

I am really disappointed. I really love Premiere Moisson, but their sandwich quality lately is horrible. I got this sandwich today.it had 1 small thin slice of brie cheese with a few pears and 3 walnuts. The bread was extremely soggy and it was mostly bread. Really bad experience.

Fresh produce, amazing service + very competitive prices.everything was priced below the big grocery chain stores.

Their pastries are really great. Breads are great but the bakery has much more bread variety then what was available at the store.

Après que j'ai acheté 3 items la caissière qui me sert (une française de France) me demande si ce sera tout d'un ton découragé. J'aurais bien aimé acheté autre chose mais semble t'il qu'après 3 items c'est trop épuisant pour la caissière.essayez d'embaucher des gens qui ont une attitude positive svp.

I bought a bread for breakfast, because I though there were chocolates inside that, and when I asked him if there is chocolate, then he said: always! Now I have tasted it and it's blue berries inside that which has made the bread totally salty! The guy was just rude and kept looking at me to get my order, while it was the first time I was there and I needed more time

Et bah la baguette est dure et sec et immangeable ça fait mal à la bouche on dirait ça fait 3 jours et les millefeuilles sont brulé en bas et ils sont trop cuits ou je sais pas ça goûte pas bon

I bought a baguette around 4: 00 pm on Friday to have with dinner but it was not fresh, in fact it was stale and was only edible with lots of butter and toasted as garlic bread. Luckily it was not to bring to dinner to a friend's, I would have been embarrassed. I won't be buying from there again, I wanted to support my local business but it's not worth it if they can't commit to offering fresh bread, which is basic for a bakery.

Choices are reduced. Social distancing is ok.but they do it with a bad attitude. I even saw a client leave because of how bad they were told to step back. I almost did the same.

I was treated very well here, great staff. They got me my cheesecake and small strawberry Tart for a birthday when I was in a bind as 3 other bakeries were not open on saturday. Very helpful but a bit on the pricey side, it was worth it. They have arrows and zones and masks for covid. Quick service and delicious goods. Everyone at the party enjoyed it.

ZERO STARS *** incompetent staff.
Gave me the wrong cake. Was for my moms birthday. Got home, didn't open the box till the next night and SURPRISE! Wrong cake. Birthday was ruined. We didn't have a cake for the birthday as the one they gave us was disgusting. Covered in a layer of raspberry. Now will have to wait till Monday and drive all the way back to get the right cake. VERY UPSET at this situation. Next time, I will have them remove the ribbon and open the box before I leave the store.

I love this place, coffee is great, and i enjoyed the bread. The croissant are good but unfortunately you have to eat them fresh right a way, as they won't last the day. They get dried very fast, same for chocolatine and almond croissants (that have much less almonds than a few years ago) i love this place but they have cheapened out a bit of late. That is too bad. I hope they will revise!

L'atmosphère me fait penser les boulangeries parisiennes et les croque monsieur, pain ficelle etcc est fortement recommandé. Super.

The only downside is that they run out of bread quickly. Dont go look for a baguette pass 5 on a saturday.

A part une vendeuse qui a toujours l'air suprêmement ennuyée, tout est bien et les produits excellents. Mais allez-y le matin de préférence. En semaine, après 17h et le we après 15h, il n'y a plus qu'un choix très réduit de pains.

J'ai visité deux fois. La dernière fois j'ai trouvé un poil mélangé avec les framboises dans ma danoise. Dommage parce qu'ils ont de bons produits. Il faut insister que les employés travaillent avec des filets pour éviter ce genre de surprise.

The almond croissant is just the best one I have ever tried. Everything is good and fresh! Just a small tip: Please accept foodora/ uber eats (the store on Monkland) and make a customer even happier:)

Je suis vraiment déçu de m'avoir présenté à dans votre magasin à 7 h 10 du soir donc 50 minutes avant que le magasin ferme il y avait déjà plus de gâteau dans le présentoir et vos employés étaient déjà en train de nettoyer comme si il fermé deja. Aucun gateaux au fromage selon l employé.

I just bought croissants and country niche and they were burnt! How can they sell these? I would be embarrassed if I were this company. They hide it in their paper bags so you don’t see that they are burnt until you get home! This is the Première Moisson location on Monkland and Girouard in NDG.

Everything is good except for fiew members of the crew working there. It gives a really bad customer experience. Shame.

I've been going to this place for years (for breakfast 4-5x a wk). I am disappointed with the unprofessional service I received (from an assistant manager) in my last visit. I will never go back.

While a bit expensive, the breads baked here are fantastic! I highly recommend it. You buy a baguette and you finish it on the way home as it is so fresh and delicious. They have sour dough and bio breads which is very healthy and good for your body!

One of the more disgusting places in all Montreal! There are flies in the restaurant ans the staff is extremely rude, apart of beeing dirty (they don't use deodorant I think). The chinese and the french woman harass cutomers all the time!

There were 8 people working and none of them knew what they were doing.they were just talking and not paying attention to their customers!

Je crois qu'il est important de souligner lorsqu'on reçoit un bon service. Malgré le fait qu'il y ait eu un oubli majeur dans ma commande internet, le gérant s'est montré très courtois et ma offert de modifier ma.commande avec des produits de.mon choix. Lorsque j'ai refusé, il m'a tout de même souligner qu'il aimerait m'offrir une gratuité. Alors sur ce, merci pour les pailles au fromage.

Le service est lamentable.je me demande quelle formation reçoivent aussi bien les employées que le gérant.on vous sert un chausson aux pommes et le café sans ustensiles et lorsque vous demandez un couvert l employée vous lance la cuiller sur le plateau.quant au gérant son argument est qu on mange le chausson avec les doigts, meme si la cpmpote coule de partout.vive l hygiene!
au fond la premiere moisson c est de la poudre aux yeux.rien n est bon et
dire qu il faut payer cher pour un tel résultat.c est sur qu on n y reviendra pas

I cannot go wrong with this specific bakery because they go the extra mile to make multiple delicious options available for all kinds of taste, allergies or budget!

For the 2nd year in a row, my online Christmas order was wrongfully put together. Very frustrating.especially at this time of year. Quality of food is excellent & the in store service is good. However, I don't think I'll be placing any online orders again.

This is store is located in a very trendy place beside many cafe and resturants. The matter that I don't like is most of time, good breads and pastries are gone and are not recharged rapidly.
