The chicken shawarma was particularly delicious with tender meat and flavored spices. Tha garlic potatoes were also a standout dish.

Honestly this location used to be my favorite but they cut corners. Everytime I order the kids meal WITH FRIES not potatoes I get potatoes anyway. Why bother asking for an option if you just don't care and give whatever you want?

Every time I come to the West Island and I need to eat, I can't miss the opportunity to eat at this specific Boustan because I know that, especially here, the quality is guaranteed, the service is stellar, and the taste, never lacking. Excellent management and maintenance of everything from food to facilities!

Quality has gone down a lot since the last few months. The meats and potatoes don't taste the same anymore, they lost that Boustan taste. Portions dropped as well. Meh

Went to the restaurant to have a shawarma to test out the quality, 10/10 taste and 10/10 servicing, absolutely amazing.

I used to go there and it was quiet ok, but now it’s totally a different level. The new owner and the new administration are beyond the expectations. Quality has drastically improved, the tase and experience are unparalleled. I’d absolutely recommend for everyone, you won’t regret it. Simply A class

Worst boustan so far. Food was not edible.at all. Aside of that, the place is not clean. Zero atmosphere on top of that - there was no music or whatsoever to add at least some background to the waste of time and money.
One of my biggest disappointments so far.

I have been a regular customer for boustan St-Jean since 2016. The new owner and his staffs do not care about customers and their FOOD ALLERGIES! DO NOT ORDER YOUR MWAL VIA UBER, SKIP Dish. I ordered vegan plate - mushroom kebabs) since I am a vegan and I say no onions and no rice. I received a vegetarian order which is not even close to my order. It had rice, onions, taboule with more onions. I call to tell them this is the wrong order. Their reply was we know, we don't have anymore vegan, so we sent you a vegetarian. I tell them there is rice and onions and I am allergic, why didn't anyone call me. Their reply was we were too busy to call you (it was 10: 30pm). I tell them I have allergies and gluten intolerance. He said aorrt but we are not going to call you this is the plate comme to the restaurant to choose something else. Again I repeat I am a vegan everything else is meat or gluten. Please refund me since I would have cancelled my order. I have ordered the vegan plate since covid 2021! He says no, take something else. I tell them I want my refund. Without knowing I understand Arabic he says this woman is crazy if she is getting her money back, white woman with allergies. I am not even close to white. I find out it is a new owner and explains why the food quality the service has gone down the last 5 months. This was the worst ever and the fact they don't care nor cinsiofiod allergies seriously it's a red flag. Never again.

Excellent service, great portions I had a chicken plate and I was so full. Really recommend all people to try the food here

I eat this afternoon at boustan at st-jean the food wasn’t gud there was almost no meat and I was sick after that Soo something was wrong with the food I had a mix plat of chicken and beef

This place had great food but recently, ever since they started franchising, the quality has dropped noticeably. It seems the meat is now sourced from a single location because it doesn't taste like shaved meat but low quality frozen meat. Also, their portions of garlic sauce and hummus are reduced. With all these bad changes, they have also increased the price!

It pains me that such a staple to Montreal has dropped its quality for franchising in Ontario.

The worse resto i ever been! Their plates full of salads and potatoes and garbage but no meat or chicken in the plate. You pay too much for just salads and potatoes. The boustan in laval is way better than the one in the west island.im sure tgis one will close or goes bankrupt if they dont make their plates normal and you get what you pay for.

Usually I despise eggplant like it’s horrible to me, but Romeo made me this one saj mixed sandwich the way he’d usually do it, and it was one of the most delicious things I ever tried, guys if u go to st jeans ask him to make u a saj mixed Romeo style. <3

We loved the shawarma there. Been there many times. But this time they gave us burnt Arayas which is part of the kids menu. When asked, they said it was normal. Don't think so much char is normal! Especially not for kids!

Where is the chicken? We order from Boustan ALL the time but usually from the one on St. Charles. My wife was going by the one on St. John's and decides to pick up from there. It was busy and she had to wait a long time, no issue we understand.

The food was fine, but almost no chicken on a chicken plate and I mean no chicken, just scraps and it's not cheap.

Unfortunately, it wasn't our first poor experience at this location. Going forward we'll only order from the one on St. Charles.

This place was the only one open besides pitaouk, and honestly from all the hype of this place I thought it would be much better then it was! Pretty bland meat, rice, and sauces! The portions were quite small for the price, but the employees were very nice! I'd much rather go to pitaouk which has good everything! It's the overrated McDonald's of Lebanese food!

I can understand prices increasing in the current climate. But why then did you also significantly reduce the portion sizes? The plates, for example, used to be served in those large styrofoam containers. Since some time last year, however, you switched to those little black tray boxes. Increased price for less food, not a good outlook. They're even doubling down: the meat pieces and especially the potatoes are much smaller to make it look like they put a lot in the box. This is a problem with all locations, not just this Saint Jean spot I went to most recently, so it was a company-wide decision obviously.

Food quality itself isn't helping, either. Boustan used to be the go-to spot for Shawarma due to the great taste, outdoing Basha and especially Amir; not anymore. More oily, the potatoes appearing overcooked, more chunks/globs of fat in the meat, etc. Very disappointing to see this happen.

UPDATE: They replied to this review. Not sure how sending them an email resolves something as big as a business decision to drastically reduce served portion sizes.

I always get their Shawarma plates and it's always so tasty and satisfying because I know I am eating quality food and not processed garbage stuff like mcdonalds burgers. I always order over ubereats so it gets quite expensive for one person ($32) for a shawarma bowl and a diet coke, but I always still order so obviously its worth it for me. If you want it cheaper, go in person.

Ordered chicken plates. Barely a quarter of the chicken normally included in plates, plus it was dry. Awful experience and will never order from them again.

Portions were cheap. Ordered a falafel sandwich normally Sandwich comes with 3 falafel balls the gentleman took 2 in squash them and added more vegetables. As for the potatoes they were not spice correctly. I've eaten at many locations Have to say I was not impressed with this one

Friendly staff! Love their pita sandwich with mixed grill and also the addictive home fried potatoes with garlic sauce. Very yummy!

I just had the vegan kebab and it was phenomenal! So delicious and a GREAT alternative to meat! Thank you Boustan️And the service is fantastic! Great job!

Worst waiting time I waited in line 40 ministers before getting served they only care about the deliveries instead of concentrating on people who came all the way here I’m still waiting for my food here

Great food and great service. Prices are affordable and they do delivery directly, with a much smaller fee than services such as Uber eats.

I went for a quick bite, a chicken pita, it was toasted to perfection, just the first bite made me fall in love with the food. I will definitely be coming back, and would highly recommend this location.

Was hoping to be better than the other boustan locations but sadly still as bad. Had chicken & shawarma sandw.was not impressed. Cant understand why they dont work on their food.

I was speechless to see how little chicken they put on the shishtaouk plate when I’ve been there compared to the generous portions at Amir and every other Lebanese style fast-food restaurants. Would not go back until I hear they are giving a fair portion instead of basically just salad and potatoes as another review mentioned. Raise your price if that’s what you need to do to be confident in giving a good portion.

A variation on the typical. Their toppings for the Falafel were delicious. And their sauce is so good and a. Ice change from all the other same old same old.

Best shawarma in town, I had been in many shawarma places in Montreal, last week I went to the one in Kirkland wasn’t good at all burned pita meet is dry, boustan st Jean a way better for boustan staff friendly food giving you the taste of boustan like the original one on crescent, i recommend to every one.

Food quality is not good & they have sn issue in the taste.the other branch located in St. Charles is much better & they have the best Arabian taste here in west Island.

Personal favorite of mine. Always fast service, even at peak hours. Most satisfying food around, perfect for a quick snack or a hearty meal; They never disappoint.

Super awesome place for food especially at 2am when everything else is closed or worse than Boustan's. I've gone here many times and it's always been great.

Sorry to say that its nothing compare to the first Boustan i use to know. The food is not that great. Tell customers if your shish needs more time to cook don't serve the food not well cooked. The service not that good.

Food is delicious, but some of the employees who wrap the pitas here are still not wearing gloves.the little heat from grill is not enough to kill bacteria. I've gotten sick from food poisoning after eating here twice in the past. Enjoy at your own risk

Fantastic Lebanese food with excellent humourous staff. Fresh food, clean property, excellent service and truly authentic.

They used to be very busy and good taste in the beginning but now the food it’s not very fresh and tasty.

The meat was great, I ordered a shish taouk plate.my complaint? I'm in a boustan restaurant, which is Lebanese/Middle Eastern cuisine, and i expect the food to be such.so: why the hell would you serve coleslaw as my default salad? !? !

First and last time. Would rather go to St-Charles Boustan. Rude service, burnt sandwich, overcharged. Less selection. Don't need someone asking my order 4 times only to say I made a mistake and wave their finger at me when I correct them at the cash. *Charges for extra meat when given standard portion.

Ordered three plates from delivery and unfortunately there was a mistake, but we called back and they sent a whole new plate plus some baklava! We're very happy with how the situation was handled.

Good food this time around. The first time I was here, the chicken was dry and I was wondering what the hype was about. This time around the chicken was juicy and very tasty. My only complaint is that I got only half the portion on my plate for eating in as the person in front of me got in her take out container, for the same price.
Went back the next night to get take out for a large group of friends, because skip the dishes glitched on us, and everything was fabulous and plentiful, as well as really fast.
So in summary I really recommend Boustan's, especially for take out.

Not worth the money. The portion became almost half of what it used to be before. $13 for an empty plate. When I addressed my concern, they didn’t care and did nothing. I don’t recommend it anymore. Although, I was a loyal client.

Been eating here for years. Food is always fresh and delicious. Staff is really nice and friendly too. Go-to for "healthy fast food.

We always order for delivery here, their food has never disappointed so far. I really love the kafta arayes.

I went there around 630 and i got a sante plate i was trying to choose my salade and the person making my plate says to me " are u ready or what"! Never going back but cashier was super nice.

Good food but it seems like i get less and less MEAT everytime I go. Have not been in a while. Last time I ordered a chicken sandwich I basicaly got a coleslaw sandwich. Pitaouk for the win!

Love their food falafels are yummy, and portions are very fair, food is fresh and staff is super friendly! Definitely one of our favourites in the West Island!
