The specialty beer was good and so was the food, but the service painfully slow, and quite frankly, I do not understand why they do not have menus in English. The place is located at a major tourist spot in Montreal, every summer thousands of international tourists (who don't necessarily speak French) pass by day in day out and some may be tempted to stop by and try on their beers. We were sitting next to a family from India, they got their menus (the same one we got) and they were scratching their heads trying to figure out what it was written, the waitstaff was nowhere to be seen; in the end the entire group, about 10 of them got up and left, presumably to spend their money somewhere else. The owners need a bit more business intelligence (and before someone reply to my comment asking me to learn French: I am fluent in English, French, Dutch and Spanish.so spare me any possible idiotic comment) and create menus in English, and have them available for those international visitors who do not speak French (there are tons of them). Show customers that you appreciate their business and want them to spend their money in your establishment by providing them with a menu they can understand.
I do not understand why I cannot get nacho downstairs since that's what I wanted and I kept asking them that. Ended up another restaurant si ACE they don't have what I to eat
Lovely food and desserts, probably the best beers in town, No 5 smoothie sour is fantastic and we couldn’t stop drinking it last night. Jonathan is amazing! Will definitely be back when we’re in town again!
A great "dive bar" in the nice sense of the word. A cozy place with no windows, so it's timeless inside. A terrific selection of beers brewed on the premises. Our server was superb.
The drinks Were incredible, hugely recommend the P-nut and baker street. Food was pretty good too! Amazing vibes and a great place if you are on that side of town
Chicken pot pie was not only lukewarm, but green and grey. Quinoa salad tasted expired especially the fennel and squash (which is inexplicably in everything on the menu). Beer was beer technically. The pot pie also gave my friend diarrhea for the night.
Wow! What a great brew pub! Surprised none of my friends recommended this place. Great variety, and they pack great beers that contend. Definitely stop here.
Stopped by for an afternoon drink. Outdoor terrasse spacious with shielding between tables. They make their own beer which my sister enjoyed, I had a cider that was good.
The sours here poured like smoothies, thick and delicious. The stouts were amazing too. Really enjoyed the flights on the patio on a beautiful late summer night.
Great beer and great service. Our server was top notch, really friendly and not rushed at all to help us make good selections. Right in the old port, their terrasse is amazingly well placed. Definately recommend!
Best beers in Montreal, especially if you're into IPA and stout. The food is great, although on the pricier side (but worth it in terms of quality). Servers are friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The space is lovely in the summer, cozy in the winter.
This place is awesome. I almost don't want to review it so people don't find out aboit it and crowd the beautiful, large terrace. Great beer and food. This is an amazing brewery.
Excellent service!
Went to hang out on the terrace Sunday mid afternoon. Had a flight of local brews recommended by the awesome waiter. The home beers are quite amazing. There is this one coco something stout that was insanely good! The waiter, Jonathan, even found me an IPA I liked, I'm not a fan of IPAs, but this one was simply delightful! The place, the service, the ambiance is just great! Prices are reasonable for the old port. Definitely somewhere I'll be back often to try everything on the menu.
Food and beers lack refinement and quality for the exorbitant old port prices. Macaroni was as watered down and characterless as the IPAs, turkey leg needs at least a smidge of prep. Serious drop in quality since the move to the taproom.
