Today I was on the business end of a rude and arrogant teller. They make me fill out a form for a $300 currency exchange. I ask why: he jabs his finger at a pamphlet and says that some branch of the government insists they do it. Fine, alright. I fill out the form and pass it to him. He says, now get this.he says, "I just need to confirm your ID. " I say, "what? The pamphlet says that it's only for amounts of $3000 or more" He rudely responds, "did I say I wanted to see your I. D? !? ! " Who talks like that to a client? I replied, "well, I heard the word I. D. " He says, "no, I didn't ask to see your I. D, I want to confirm your I. D. " He swivels his monitor toward me and shows me the name he typed in from the sheet of paper I filled out. I'm sorry, but there's not a big difference between "I want to see your I. D. " and "I want to confirm your I. D. " Regardless, you don't talk that way to clients. Good way to lose business. Next time I'll go to a bank where they're less rude and already have my information (and yes, I'm willing to pay a higher exchange rate for that).
