I had exceptional service with bust a move. The movers I had, Corey, Emrah and Matt, were efficient, polite and super careful with our stuff. We were quoted five hours and the move was completed in two hours (including with a second pick up location)! Highly recommend these guys!

Prompt and careful move even during the first snowstorm of the year. I felt bad for them but they were professional through and through and at half the cost quoted by most other movers I had called. Also, you can't beat the name. You cannot go wrong.

We have used Bust a Move for several moves - they are the best in Montreal! They did a big move for us from Quebec to Ontario and did a great job. Had the absolute worst moving experience of my life with Bust-A-Move. What should have been the easiest and simplest move turned out to be the most frustrating and expensive (for amount of stuff and distance moved). Because I moved most of my belongings on my own, Bust-A-Move only had to move my furniture (from a 1 BR apt) and a few containers out of storage into my new apartment. Both buildings had elevators and the moving distance was less than 2 km. For those of you who are curious and don’t have time to read the rest of my review, the move took a total of 7.25 hours (including 1 hr required travel time) and cost me more than $2000 ($1873 + tip).

When I made moving arrangements with Bust-A-Move, I agreed to a 3-person team. Instead, I was sent a 2-person team (and charged more per mover) because the initially assigned team’s first move of the day was taking longer than expected. While I understand that not all moves go as planned and Bust-A-Move did their best to allow my move to proceed as planned, what happened next was totally within their control.

About an hour into the move, the lead mover asked me if I have a toolkit. Apparently, the team didn't bring one with them, and like all moves, they needed a toolkit to dismantle some of my furniture (bed frame; dining table; sofa). Of course, I didn’t have one because my apartment was empty with the exception of furniture. The movers then had to call the moving company to have one sent over, which took another 45 minutes. While waiting for the toolkit, the movers disappeared (for at least 30 minutes), and I didn’t see them again until the toolkit arrived. They didn’t start dismantling my furniture until two hours into the move! Contrary to the owner's response to my review, I WAS CHARGED FOR EVERY SINGLE MINUTE that the movers were waiting for the toolkit to arrive.

Though I am willing to forgive Bust-A-Move for sending a team of 2 instead of 3, I found the company’s lack of preparedness, i.e, not bringing a toolkit with them, ridiculous and disturbing because it unnecessarily caused the move to take longer and cost significantly more than it should have. How could a moving company send movers to do a move without a toolkit? This still baffles me to this day. While a number of other things happened, for which I will spare you the details, the worst part of this entire experience was Jonathan, the owner of Bust-A-Move. You would think that, at a bare minimum, he would apologize for his team showing up without a toolkit and give me a discount on the move. Of course, he did no such thing and instead got angrier with me as the move went on. Once again, I will spare you the details.

I have moved more than a dozen times in my life. I have done local moves, inter-state moves (I’m from the US), cross-country moves, and international moves. I know how long moves should last and this move should not have taken 6.25 hours. At most, it should have lasted 3 to 3.5 hours. In fact, when I arranged the move with Bust-A-Move, the person I spoke with estimated that it would take 2 hours since I would be moving most of my belongings on my own. Furthermore, because I was sent a team of 2 instead of 3, I ended up getting charged more per mover. Given that I had agreed to a team of 3, I should have been charged the same rate per person. Instead, I was charged $34 more per hour for the same amount of work output. FYI, their rate is $250 per hour for 3 movers and $200 per hour for 2 movers. To make matters worse, I never received the follow-up call that I was told I would receive approximately one week after the move. It’s been almost 2 months since I moved so it’s become clear to me that they won’t be following up. This lack of follow-up proves beyond a doubt that management doesn’t care about their clients and is not seeking to improve their services. For those of you considering Bust-A-Move, I highly recommend that you look elsewhere. This company, especially its owner, lacks professionalism, provides extremely poor customer service, and will seriously overcharge you.

We hired Bust a Move for our move from downtown Montreal to the suburbs. They were extremely professional and communicative, and provided a custom quote within 24 hours. On the day of the move, the team showed up early which was greatly appreciated. All members of the team were extremely hardworking, and were efficient, polite, and very careful with our belongings. Nothing was damaged and we felt like we were in good hands the entire time. I would highly recommend this moving company for any moves within Montreal.

A HUGE thank you goes out to Bust-a-Move Moving for making my moving day a breeze! From the moment they showed up and literally rolled out the red carpet to the moment they left, the team was professional, helpful and hard-working. They did a great job wrapping up and protecting my furniture (also taking the care to ensure no walls, doors etc.in the house were damaged). Watching them unload the truck at my new place was really impressive! They efficiently brought each item to the exact room I asked and made sure I was happy with each item's final location. The team also carefully put together all of the furniture that needed to be dismantled for the move. The team was polite and checked in often. No ask was ever too big.
If I ever need to move again, I will ABSOLUTELY use Bust-A-Move Moving again. They made my moving day a very positive experience.

Wow, what can I say, Bust a Move Moving is simply the best out there. Communication and info before our move here within Montreal was excellent for pre-planning and the moving team (Simon, Ben & Max) was efficient, professional and got things done smoothly. Don't plan on moving again any time soon, but if we do we will certainly use Bust a Move again.:)

Bust-a-Move we’re the movers I had hoped for! I hired them for a local move and the crew arrived on time, they were friendly, clean, quick, and didn’t damage any of my things. Best of all - they finished up my move more quickly than expected, and the final cost was cheaper than the estimate! They really are as good as all the other reviews.

UPDATE MAY 2022 - we did use Bust A Move again. You can't find a group of kinder, funnier, and efficient guys. Well worth every penny.

Fantastic service. They showed up a bit early, got everything ready, and started! It was efficient, fast, professional, and with smiles on their faces! They took care of all our furniture and boxes as well. The move took a bit over 3 hrs, I can't believe how well it went. They were amazing.

If I ever move again, I'll definitely be using Bust A Move! And I'll recommend them to anyone. Thank you guys for making our move so smooth!

Bust a Move Moving did a move for me from one apartment to another and did a great job. They sent a team of 3 and everyone was always looking for the next thing to move. The movers were friendly and careful with our things, and worked quickly.

The company also does a great job of communicating with you during the booking and planning process for the move, and let you know everything you need to do to prepare for the day.

I think that it might have been a little bit high on the price range (though I don't have much experience with movers), but I'd happily pay it again to ensure my belongings are moved quickly and safely. Definitely would recommend!

I've moved more times than I can remember, in four countries on three continents. Bust a Move is by far the best professional moving experience I've ever had. All communication with the main office was clear, transparent, prompt, and courteous, beginning with my initial request for a cost estimate—which they provided in less than one day.

On moving day all I had to do was sit and watch as a four-man team—Simon, Ben, Jaden, and Michael—arrived exactly on time, efficiently packed up my entire apartment in a single day, and moved everything into my new place the following morning. They were prompt, courteous, kind, and communicative. And cheerful! They worked incredibly hard, running up and down two flights of stairs all day long, loaded down with boxes and furniture, without showing even a hint of discomfort or weariness.

Upon arriving at my new place the team put all the boxes, clearly labeled, in the correct rooms. They reassembled my furniture, made sure it was placed where I wanted it, and patiently moved it when I changed my mind.

My most recent move was my second time working with Bust a Move, because after the first time there's no going back. I recommend them unreservedly and enthusiastically.

A close friend had a terrible experience. Day 1 of a 2 day move from a semi-detached house to another home 8 blocks away. Truck couldn't make it up property for over 30 minutes and my friend was charged for that time - bad start. One mover refused to take off their winter boots and had a disagreement with my friend/homeowner, thought snow slush, salt and gravel all over the home was fine because my buddy was "moving out anyway". For a winter move, the only protective material they put down was soggy poly mats the crew had used as "traction" under track wheels to get up driveway. One/or more of the movers apparently caused 1200$ of plumbing damage with paper towels down the toilet after relieving himself according to an invoice from Levine Plumbing to scope/snake/clean the issue. The kicker is the odd mover wearing a plastic bag over his shoe to prevent moisture seepage because his boots were torn possibly sneaking off with what may have been the engagement gift watch my friend cannot for the life of him track down since the move. Overall, negative experience during a 2 day move.
