Nous avions un petit coin car c’était super occupé! J’ai essayé le Persan Fog et Wow! Super bon je recommande! Un des seuls café downtown que j’aime beaucoup pour l’ambiance et les bons produits!

I’m truly obsessed with this cafe. Everything I have tried there was delicious. A great twist on Iranian food while remaining very authentic. The Persian fog is a must try but so is everything else! Super cozy atmosphere and very friendly people too.

I just happened upon this place a few weeks ago before visiting the Museum of Fine Arts. It was delightful. The food was yummy, especially the Iranian bread. Had a flashback and had to come leave a review 3 weeks later.

This was an overall enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere is cute and the service is fast. The coffee is also fabulous and fairly priced to beat. My only complaint is that our food was served barely warm and we wish the servings were larger. Cute dishes though.

Best London fog I've ever had! They sprinkle dried lavender on the foam so you can smell it with each sip. Divine. Service was lovely also, and the inside decor is gorgeous, though we sat outside (very limited seating outdoors but we got lucky).

Amazing food, service and ambiance. The seats are varied in style but all ultra comfortable. Wheterto meet with someone, study, eat or just enjoy, I highly recommend.

The coffe place is really nice and cozy. The service is awful, the staff doesn’t care at all for the satisfaction of the costumer. It takes almost an hour to get out overpriced food, and almost another hour to get a spoon from the staff. I tried here two times and each time I was really disappointed. Doesn’t recommend

Right next to the art museum Café Aunja is the perfect place to get some food to fuel your artistic adventures. My friend who knows I have this account for ginger ale reviews excitedly pointed out that there was a ginger tea and even bought it for me! To be known is to be loved and I’m thankful for having spent an hour of my wonderful little life eating breakfast in the afternoon with a cherished friend.

Ok coffee, great tea, and great food. Cappuccino was quite dry. Otherwise the tea, cakes, food, and staff were all great. Would recommend for anyone wanting a Persian food experience.

Everything was good and the service fast. The ambience and atmosphere was great. The location is very convenient; after a hike at Mont Réal, this is a life saver!

Such a charismatic atmosphere! The sandwich was very tasty and the Persian fog was delightful (the barista recommended it hot!). Highly recommend this place! I'll be back to try more of their specialty drinks.

This was one of my favorite places at Montreal. The cafe is cozy and nicely decorated. The food was simply delicious. We had the Complete Breakfast with London and Persians fogs and we loved them.

Really cute place, but the portions are so small for how expensive the menu is; I feel like the staff stares and glares at you inappropriately.

This is a hidden gem of Montreal. I tried their persian fog and hot chocolate with saffron cake. It was absolutely mind blowing. I have never tasted such a rich flavour of saffron jn a drink or a cake before. The hot chocolate was so hot, it burned my tongue. I waited for it to cool down for 25 minutes but it was still too hot for me so i drank only half of it. It had a rich cocoa flavour. The design and colour and ambiance of this place was so beautiful.

Don’t trust the hours, I was one of your customer but I never come back again, and never offer to others.
We have friends who came from Florida, and after visiting old port, I offered to go to “cafe unja” for have a cup of tea and relax, and we check, it said open till 10 pm, then we walked long distance, and we arrived there at 7 pm, but it was closed

Very disappointed in this cafe I am a artist wanted to show my work there wanted a huge fee artists have to pay for there materials it's not easy needs some exposure it's good for the walls I don't think cafes should over change take a percentage yes not asking for 150$ to show I hate when cafes do that smaller fees I never will support this

I also loved the persian fog which might be best in cold weather but I enjoyed it a bit too much even in a warm day because of the saffron flavor and creamy texture!

Beautiful Cafe. Explored recently
Ordered a veg sandwich filled with veges and cheese, it was delicious.

Ordered a four berry smoothie and the smoothie was excellent too, refreshing drink on very hot day in MTL.

The ambience of the Cafe is so cute. I felt I could sit there for work for long hours.

It was a quiet place to sit chat. No loud music.
Overall I loved it.

Nous sommes aujourd'hui vendredi 27 mai à 12 h 16. Le site Web du café donne des heures différentes d'ouverture et de fermeture sur leur site anglais et français. J'ai appelé pour avoir l'information. La dame qui m'a répondu m'a dit 'anglais svp'. J'ai répondu que je ne parlais pas l'anglais elle m'a raccroché le téléphone au visage.

Une personne comme elle ne devrait pas pouvoir travailler ici au Québec, sa place est dans les 9 autres provinces où elle ne risque pas d'entendre le français et ainsi manquer de respect à une personne.

J'espère que le gouvernement du Québec va enfin prendre ses responsabilités et passer des lois sérieuse obligeant les canadiens anglais et immigrants non francophones de parler le français pour y vivre en harmonie avec la majorité francophone, dont je suis.

Je me demande si le propriétaire soutient ce type de comportement.

Today is Friday May 27th at 12: 16 p.m. The cafe's website gives different opening and closing times on their English and French site. I called to get the information. The lady who answered me said 'anglais svp'. I replied that I don't speak English she hung up the phone in my face.

A person like her should not be able to work here in Quebec, her place is in the 9 other provinces where she is not likely to hear French and thus disrespect a person.

I hope that the Government of Quebec will finally assume its responsibilities and pass serious laws obliging English Canadians and non French speaking immigrants to speak French in order to live here in harmony with the French-speaking majority, which I am part of.

I wonder if the owner supports this type of behavior.

The table and seat was spilled with red sauce. Stained my shorts and then they kicked us out because it was closing at 17: 55
Please note how the owners answer doesnt care about ruining my shorts. The stain just wont wash off.

They were very busy but my to-go lunch order of two sandwiches was still ready in just 15 minutes. We enjoyed them immensely! The bread was perfect - not too hard, not too soft. Sandwich fillings were perfectly fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

This is a must-go for me when in Montréal. Their Persian Fog.a pleasant surprise and now a fave. This little place turned me on to Persian food.

As an egg lover I couldn’t resist ordering an egg brekkie even though I visited after noon. I ordered a cheese omelette, which looked and tasted like a stir-fried egg. (maybe it’s an Iranian style omelette) Everything on plate was pleasant to eat. Slightly disappointed at the latte as the coffee was mediocre. My iced latte wasn’t too flavoursome and aromatic, with the melted ice watering it down. Yet, the environment was chill and unique. The overall experience was okay and I’d say it’s worth visiting.

作為雞蛋愛好者我點會忍得住唔嗌雞蛋早餐呢？我嗌左個芝士奄列，望落好似炒蛋（可能係Iranian style）。點上所有嘢都食落OK嘅。對個Latte有少少失望因為個咖啡底一般般，濃味同香味都唔夠，加埋有啲冰係咁溶，整稀杯咖啡。但環境好chill又有特色，整體經驗都唔錯，值得一試。

Cozy place with great vibes, friendly staff and delicious food! I had the lemonade, soup and sandwich combo and everything was delicious - I really appreciated that the soup was vegan and a couple of the sandwiches could be made vegan. The only thing is that it would be nice if the vegan version of the sandwich included vegan substitutes rather than just taking the non-vegan ingredients out (for example, if you choose the vegan version of the pesto, mozzarella and grilled vegetable sandwich, all you’re left with is grilled vegetables and bread, with nothing to replace the mozzarella or pesto).

Cafe Aunja is one of my favourite cafes in Montreal. They warm, comforting atmosphere is always welcoming. There is little the their Persian Fog cannot fix. This is the cafe I reccomend to people when they are visiting Montreal from out of town and I have always heard good things after they visit. The staff is so helpful and kind. I wish it was open at all hours so I would never have to leave!

The food is amazingly tasty. I tried cheese omelets, it was excellent. Also the Persian fog (saffron tea latte) was very tasty, and the Ferni was quite original. The bread was Iranian-similar and freshly toasted. Finally the carrot jam, it was mind blowing! I would buy a few jars if they could offer!
The vibe is also very desirable. Nice decoration, nice old furniture, perfect Iranian songs.
The people at the counter were also very nice and polite. I asked them if the food is HALAL, and they honestly responded that the chicken and meat in the sandwiches are, but not the sausage. I really appreciate their honesty.

Despite all these, there were a few disappointing points:
- the omelets were completely COLD. Obviously there has been a gap between cooking and serving. It was very disappointing.
- The amount of the food is not very much, particularly compared to the price. With the same price we have had much more rich breakfast in plateau area (The breakfast seems to be not expensive, but consider that the tea or coffee is not included in the breakfast and you should order it separately)
- The bread was not enough for breakfast, and it was cut into small pieces which was unnecessary.

If I go there again? Yes! I really like to taste the cheese omelet and the jam again.
But I hope next time I receive a hot meal and more bread aside and a simple cup of tea included. And I wish they could use halal sausage as well which is easily available in the market.

It's a nice Persian café. If you stumble accross this place I would recommend trying their Persian drinks and snacks. It is costly compared to many other places around and for that I can't justify it.

Unfortunately their service isn't the greatest as most of the staff can't even speak proper English or French.

On se sent bien dans ce café très cosy et chaleureux, meublé et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Les breuvages sont réconfortants et tellement jolis à regarder! Une des serveuses, très sympathique et souriante, nous a offert des Americano. Petite ombre au tableau, la deuxième serveuse était assez froide et expéditive, et de plus ne parlait pas du tout le français. On avait l'impression de la déranger à chaque fois qu'on avait affaire à elle, c'est bien dommage.

Magnificent food and vibes. In the heart of Montreal, near McGill and by the fine arts museum we found this absolutely beautiful cafe with exquisite service and very tasty food. A genuine touch of Persian heritage in a cozy and calm environment. Definitely coming back!

Café Aunja is one of my favorite coffee shops in Montréal. The space is clean, relaxing and the service is always friendly.from the music to the string lights and artwork, it’s a beautiful place to pass some time. The coffee, ginger tea and lemonade are all amazing. Don’t forget to get try the Chicken Kou Kou sandwich and ask for extra sauce:)

I feel like I usually come here for quiet intense conversations? It's lovely, cozy, amazing tea selection where you can create your own blends with the tea, flowers, fruits and herbs they have in pretty jars against the wall. Really wonderful atmosphere and delicious desserts with like rose and saffron and cardamom type flavours.

A unique and very cozy coffee shop in downtown of Montréal. Decoration as Persian traditional point of view is the best full of variety of healthy drinks and sandwiches.
The price absolutely fair and the personnel are very friendly.
