It was a wonderful experience being at happy cat cafe, the cats are super friendly, very cute and very clean, beside the waitresses was very friendly and welcoming, thank you Mary you gave us a wonderful greeting and service. Definitely will be there at my free times it’s worth it

Sympathique comme endroit, avec une serveuse agréable. Les boissons sont bonnes, tout comme les croques.

Néanmoins, je mets 4 étoiles car un manager (patron?) m'a un peu mal parlé en me prenant de haut, ce qui a gâché mon expérience sur le coup.

Ma soeur aime beaucoup cet endroit et le fréquente assez régulièrement, je suis donc sûre que ce n'était pas chose régulière au café, d'où ma satisfaction globale.

Vraiment agréable! C'était une demande spéciale de mon fils. Il a adoré! Les gens sont gentils et nous avons bien mangé.

Super café charmant avec plusieurs chats. La nourriture est fraiche et excellente! Les chats ont l'air bien traités et l'endroit est propre. Je recommande fortement!

I was walking around the neighborhood and randomly found this gem. What a serendipitous find! The cats are so cute and the staff were nice. I had the Cat Lady and it was good. Beware of this cute little bandit though. She's pretty tenacious trying to steal your food, which I didn't mind as it was a part of the experience.

Veeery nice place! You can drink your coffee, or get a bite around cats and kittens. Most of them don't want that much attention, but it's fascinating observing them as the stroll around

So cute, loved the kitties and food! Weekends are busy, so get there early to get a table and expect to hang out a bit

Souvent achalandé et l'espace est petit donc devient très rapidement bruyant, nourriture est ok. Les chats sont adorables.

Cats are all sleeping or scared of kids that tries to pet em. Food is all right. Coffee is very good. Too noisy for my taste and the services was very slow.

Great cafe with good food and cute cats. The vegan salad was delicious. The cats were friendly and great fun to watch.

Cet endroit est incroyable! Les serveurs sont hyper gentils, les chats proviennent tous de refuges ou SPCA! Je recommanderait par contre d'y aller la semaine puisque le café est plutôt plein la fin de semaine de ce que j'ai vu! Les chats sont hyper mignons! La limonade est vraiment bonne, le latté et le grilled cheese aussi! Super belle ambiance! Je recommande 10/10 d'y aller!

We had a very pleasant experience and delicious banana pudding! The girl at the counter was very nice, the friendly hello by Gustave the cat made our day and my wife couldn't stay in her seat the entire time we were at the Cafe!

Incredible place, great food, and the cats. OH my GOD how cute they were. 10/10 would definitely recommend, great for families, friend meetups and dates.

This is a big, quiet, and cozy place.

At the entrance, I was greeted by one of the employees, who kindly asked me to show my vaccine passport and ID. Additionally, I was required to write down my name and a telephone number to be reachable.

These 8 cats are the stars of the place, so before choosing a place to sit down, you must wash your hands at the restroom. It's pretty noticeable that protecting the cats from diseases, stress, and mishandling is a priority.

I went for a coffee, but I felt the temperature was kind of warm for my taste, so I asked for an iced tea instead. After some minutes, I realized that the temperature was just right.

It's a place where you can go alone and give yourself a moment to watch these elegant creatures. Go with friends, children or with your significant other, share time together while interacting with the furry hosts. They are more than open to being petted. They seem to know that they have plenty of options to gracefully retire and keep a healthy distance if human affection gets too intense for them.

You even have plenty of literature about cats available on the bookshelf if you feel like going deep into the world of cats.

Friendly cats (especially Gustave who greeted us promptly at our table), and friendlier server! Food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommended, you won’t regret it!

I was prepared for the cats here to be depressed and not wanting to interact with you - as shown in the other reviews. However, what’s really annoying is that they have the slowest wifi and service of all cafes in Montreal. Not only does this place not provide any type of cat interaction other than seeing a cat from afar à la YouTube cat video, but doesn’t even have functioning internet and a timely service (waited 20 mins to be approached by someone) It’s not worth it. Go on YouTube for cat videos or go to a real coffee shop.

The owner and waitresses were very nice and the cake we ordered was very delicious. There were around 6 cats there but I wish they had more:)

Just moved to Montreal and was missing my cat and the general company of animals. The cats here were friendly and playful. It was relaxing and enjoyable. As for the cafe part of it, the food is delicious and you can go for a dinner or you can go to study/work. So happy I've found this place!

Amazing atmosphere, delicious pastries and drinks, and best of all: cats everywhere! No entry fee required. Went to enjoy a nice snack while studying, and was pleasantly surprised to see the cats hanging out all around. They mind their own business and don't pester you, but there are also opportunities to grab toys to play with them. Highly recommend checking this place out, but get ready to not do much work.the cat cuteness is distracting.

A place of overpriced menu, ice tea might as well be tap water with a hint of tea to make you feel like you're not just drinking water, kitties are mostly asleep, but wait long enough and you might get to pet sum. 10/10 would not go again, unless they offering free cats. So go with someone that makes all of this downside worth it.

Cute idea and concept, cats are all very cute but tend to be unreachable, I understand you cannot pick them up and just move them (which makes sense lol) but you may not get to interact with many cats at this cafe, really depends on the circumstances. Cats all seem happy and are friendly, so no issues there. Also there’s no experience charge, so the prices are pretty reasonable. Was extremely busy when I went, place was cute but as soon as you walk in the smell is pretty intense, but honestly I feel that’s to be expected, as cats use litter boxes and litter boxes smell. So if you do go be prepared for a bit of an odour.

Le principe me plaît beaucoup mais sur place j'ai été déçue par le service qui semblait débordé: beaucoup d'attente une fois installé, puis ce qui m'a le plus dérangé, ce sont les enfants qui coursaient les chats, les prenaient dans leur bras, leur chatouillaient le ventre
comme si c'était des peluches sans que personne ne leur fasse de remarques. Pourtant le personnel a bien vu ce qu'il se passait.

The cats are active and super friendly. We had the lemonade, a brownie and a Gros biscuit, all of which were delicious. The coffee is average.

Les sandwichs grilled-cheese et les desserts sont délicieux! Les employés sont très gentils et les chats sont très affectueux. Luna est tellement mignonne! S'il vous plaît encouragez ce café! Ils ont plusieurs chats sous leur responsabilité et cela peut être assez dispendieux.

Such a cute and unique place. I truly enjoyed this cat-coffee. There were a bunch of cats just roaming around freely while we had some coffee and sweets.

À ses débuts je donnais 6 étoiles à ce café.
Je comprends qu’un retour après pandémie n’est pas simple.

La bouffe est toujours A+ pour le prix, excellente limonade avec mon Cat Lady.

Par contre il y a un élément si inacceptable au point ou si un inspecteur entrait, il ferait fermer les lieux. L’odeur. L’odeur de litière et d’urine qu’il n’y avait pas avant. Pourtant du bicarbonate de soude ou n’importe quel absorbant d’odeur devrait être une priorité dans ce genre de lieu. Manger alors qu’une si forte odeur d’ammoniaque est présente n’est pas normal et n’incite pas les gens à revenir ou s’installer pour travailler ou recommander l’endroit à des amis. Je pense que c’est cet élément qui nuira le plus à la reprise post-covid. On espère que ça se replacera rapidement.

I don't know if it just happened to be the time we went but it seemed very under staffed, food was not worth the price or wait for it, cats were cool but with how many kids were there with horrible parents completely disrespecting the house rules with the cats and running around and the general experience i wont be returning with my wife

Such a lovely place at reasonable prices! Staff members are polite too.
No entrance fee! Just pay for foods (a bit higher but definitely worth it)

So I came here a few months ago and to be honest it was a nice experience. The cats were adorable and I enjoyed the food. The only thing that could be seen as "negative" is the customers. Although the idea of the restaurant is genius, the cats were kind of exposed to some people with no personal space. People walked around and sat down right next to my table to take the cats and pet them. Good for them but it was hard to eat calmly. They would also pet and take the cats that were sleeping which was uncomfortable to watch. Unfortunately I do not think that it is something the employees can really control. Overall I had a very nice experience and the service was excellent.

Bonjour, mon est laurent, j'avais été dans le passer (voir en 2018 envrion) à votre café et j'ai vraiment adoré car, l'ambiance était vraiment cool et le fun presque tout le monde se parlais, franchement c'était juste unique et sympa!

Les gâteaux très délicieux. Il faut juste revoir les meubles qui sont pas mal vieux et pas très propre

J'y ai été 1 seule fois (début 2015) avec mon amie et nous avons vraiment apprécié l'expérience; les chats étaient mignons et le service excellent. J'aimerais y retourner.

Il y a de ça déjà 4 ans, nous avions fait un documentaire sur les cafés à thématique originale. Le propriétaire du café nous a accueillis les bras ouverts lorsque nous lui avons proposé notre projet. Nous avons toujours été très bien accueillis, les repas végétariens sont une très bonne idée, ambiance chaleureuse et service très sympa. Le meilleur café de chats de Montréal.

This place is the cuteeeeest ever! It brings so much joy & peace into my heart when ii come here! Ii could basically live here if it was possible haha! A warm tea, a delicious brownie & cute cats around you is what ii call happiness! Ii always bring my friend here to relax! I’m so happy & blessed that we have a cat café in montreal!

Drinks and service was pretty ok. The temperature of the cafe was too high and it was so humid inside. The wifi itself was pretty much useless or maybe it was just one of those bad days for them. Overall it's a nice but overrated spot to get a drink and chill with your freinds or ro study.

Love this place. Comfortable seating, friendly service, and good food. The cats are all wonderful, but strangely enough they all ignored me for the 2 hours I was there. Until. I went to use the toilet before leaving, and Luna came in, jumped up onto the toilet, jumped into my shoulder, started purring like crazy, and decided to take a nap! I wasn't sure what to do, so I just sat there for awhile enjoying the cuddles. I'll definitely be back, but hopefully next time I can have some kitty time *outside* of the bathrooms.

Mise à part le concept assez unique (du moins au canada hahah) d'avoir des chats qui se balade librement, la nourriture servit est également très bonne et variée!

Endroit à voir! Chats heureux et en santé, très doux ils font des tours! Nourriture excellente (venant de mes nièces difficiles)

On peut les toucher et jouer avec eux mais ils dorment souvent, j’imagine à cause de l’achalandage. Ils semblent aussi être trop habitués de voir autant de clients donc ne sont plus vraiment intéressés aux stimulis

Came for the cats, stayed for the food! Their sandwiches were absolutely delicious, and the cats were the cutest bundles of fur, and were all sweethearts. It was the highlight of our trip to Montréal. Merci beaucoup!

I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough. The food and drinks were excellent, servers were lovely, and the cats seemed well treated and happy. Tres bien!
