"coffee included" with the dish, but got charged for it anyway. Explanation at the cash register was that the specific coffee I ordered did not apply. They could have told me after ordering.
Visiting Montreal for a week and tried this cafe on day one, and have been back every day so far. The quality and presentation of the food is perfect and the staff are all lovely. Cannot fault the place at all
We were looking for a breakfast spot 30 min before meeting 80 Architecture students for a tour of Montreal - Fantastic staff prepared 6 delicious plates and drinks in 15 minutes and took excellent care - highly recommend. Great people, food, atmosphere.
Nous y avons été deux fois dans le courant de la semaine. C’était délicieux, super service, joli cadre. Nous avons goûté les gaufres, pain perdu, le déjeuner salé classique et les viennoiseries. Les fruits étaient frais et excellents!
Top notch cappuccino and americano! Cute and quaint atmosphere. Food looks incredible but didn’t have the time today to eat. Hopefully another time. Will recommend this place to anybody.
Honestly it's not worth it.to get in you have to wait more than 20 minutes and not because there is no space but because the staff is so slow that they don't prepare new tables for the new customers that are arriving.after all that waiting you have to wait 15 more minutes until they take your order and another 15 more minutes for your food to be served.which isn't a big deal either. A mediocre brunch with basic ingredients and reused potatoes from yesterday. I do not recommend it.
Great place for breakfast/ brunch with a group. It is always very full and there is often a line in the front. The food is very fresh and the service is super fast. Very good atmosphere with friendly staff. Definitely recommend coming here.
Bonne place pour prendre un brunch relax. La nourriture servie est bonne, plusieurs choix de jus. Bref je recommande. Attention toutefois pour les groupes, ils ne prennent pas de réservation les week-end
Their coffees & other drinks are good and I think they're better at being a coffee shop + good place to eat lunch and dinner.
However, breakfast is really bad. I strongly do NOT recommended waffles as they are as hard as croutons and even when I asked for another one, it was barely any softer.
Their organization is really bad as I went my family (we were 3 people total) and we ordered our food, but never got it at the same time. It took at least 10-15 minutes between receiving our orders and each food order was not complete.
I ordered an egg + waffle and I had only received the waffle without the eggs, which came 5 minutes later. In the meantime, my boyfriend had already eaten his food so it doesn't get cold 10 minutes ago and 3 sausages were missing from his order, and they came 10 minutes later.
In my order, I had asked jam on the side, but they gave me syrup instead and I'm glad they could correct everything well
They're really better for lunch-dinner options and drinks, I'd never recommend breakfast there.
The first time I went there, customers were talking with the staffs, which doesn't bother me at all until other customers are waiting to be served.
Basically it's the most unorganized staffs I've ever seen (I've worked in fast food too before) though the food is usually good, but poutine fries feels not cooked enough
Staff is friendly, but service is not the best, as if they're too afraid to kick out bad staffs to make this place better, I wonder.
Nobody greeted us at the door, took a few mins to get seated. Did not get my coffee included with the breakfast dish, the scrambled eggs looked more like 2 eggs rather than 3 as the menu said. No ketchup, service was spotty. Very loud but this seems like a student place to hang out at.
Beautiful little Cafe at central location in Montreal. I spent a long weekend in town for Osheaga with some friends and we went there every morning for brunch. Food is great and service is one of the best I ever had. All the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend this place to everybody.
Ordered the Eggs Benedict with salmon, two bagels, and a milkshake. Food was good, but service was a bit on the slow side, and the table we were given still had crumbs on the seats from the previous diners.
This is a lovely place to get breakfast. They were busy but always have great customer service. There is a small waiting area while they find you a table.
The food is well prepared and well presented with lots of choice and the atmosphere is very nice with lots of plants.
Visited from Toronto and this was the first place I stumbled upon for brunch. We showed up as a group of 7 and the staff was immediately so accommodating despite how busy it was and managed to rearrange seating for us. They were super quick to do this and our food was quick to arrive as well. The food was amazing. Very high quality for the price point and the presentation is so nice. The staff was not only accommodating but they were super friendly and easy to talk to. We had such a great experience that we came back a second time the next morning and they accommodated our large group ONCE AGAIN. Most amazing customer service experience I’ve had in my entire life- no exaggeration. ALSO try the brownies ;) They’re to die for.
Not impressed at all. They forgot the eggs on my classic avocado toast. My toast was very oily. The coffee was watery and cold. We had to ask several times for napkins because they have no napkins on the table and they don't check on you after some time to see if everything is okay or not. After all is just an okay cafe and nothing else.
Really nice place.one thing that is annoying is that the "Vegan avocado toast" is the same as the "avocado toast" without the egg.but for the same price. Hate when places act like they are going out of their way to provide a vegan option, when really they have just removed an item from an another dish.it was good though:)
The most perfect breakfast place! I came here because my airbnb didn't have a well equipped kitchen- no toaster, microwave or coffee maker, smelly stove burners, scratched pots and pans. The cafe was around the corner and looked appealing from the outside. I had a scrumptious salmon omelette and freshly squeezed juice. Wonderful food presentation, delightful service, beautiful settings- highly recommend!
A nice Paris-like touch, with decor, high ceilings, corner location w/ lots of daylight!
Enjoyed salmon omelette & even better fruit side dish but waffles for my princess were just average, too thick in some places. But generous with its portion of strawberries & whipped cream.
Ordered eggs benedict with avocado, and the avocado was unripe and rock hard. It wasn’t really edible, I plucked it all out and left it to the side.
The rest of the plate was good enough as was the coffee.
A bit disappointed no one ever came ask how things were or even to clear my plate, even though I was sitting there for a while. I just eventually got up and paid at the counter.
It’s a really lovely spot! Definitely recommend. It’s a place that clearly has a lot of neighborhood regulars and the kind staff know them all by name and what they order.
The food was good and there’s water on the table. (Always a win to not have to ask for water).
The eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection. The hollandaise sauce was excellent. I would definitely recommend.
The potatoes are real potatoes which comes with some unevenness in the cooking and the ability to plate a little less (when I eat out I go all out and would have loved a bit more - sorry/not sorry).
Each meal seemed to come with radish as a garnish which is a bit of an unusual choice as it doesn’t go with everything.
Pretty decent breakfast in a low key setting. Service is attentive and friendly. Only downside is our food took a very long time to get out. But otherwise, the meal was fresh, well prepared and tasted as expected.
Best cafe in Montreal for sure! The manager was kind enough to accommodate 7 of us in rush hour. The employees were nice and polite. The service was quick and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this place.
Usually always my go-to but unfortunately received bad service when barista said she « was not taking anymore orders since she was closing soon » it was closing at 8pm and I went at 7pm…very disappointing
Came here with a friend and really enjoyed the waffles and smoothie, so I came back myself but this time I felt completely ignored. I waited to be seated for over 15 minutes and no one acknowledged me even though the servers walked past me multiple times, and there were several empty tables. It was only when a big group came in after me that someone "noticed" me and came over, just to inform me (in a not particularly friendly way) that the kitchen was closed. Very disappointed but I still bought a smoothie because they're really good hence the two stars and not one star. Still a little expensive though.
Love this cafe! Visiting from Newfoundland and we stopped here the first day and went back almost every morning. Breakfast is amazing, good smoothies, staff was so friendly every time. Will not disappoint!
Un bon endroit pour travailler avec un bon café dans un beau lieu. Bon service, prix raisonnables si l’on reste sur place, très bon basiques de brunch (avocado toast, saumon, etc.) je recommande pour les étudiants!
This was a delightful brunch experience for my family and I. It began with a very friendly staff seating and taking our order. The menu had a wonderful variety of foods. They had vegan options for my mom as well. I had the Belgian waffles, and they were definitely the best waffles I’ve had. Do your self a favor and order them.
One of my favourite cafés in Montréal, and I go to a lot of cafés. The staff is sunny, the food is great, and the drinks are to die for. You don't even need to get something caffeinated for St-Barth's to give you the energy you need for the whole day. 5/5.
I loved this Café, it made my vacation to Montreal extra special! The latte is absolutely delicious, as well as their breakfast selection. If you’re visiting and staying in the downtown area give this place a visit!
Such a lovely cafe to start your day in. With its tall windows and corner-of-the-street location, it gets plenty of natural sunlight that falls beautifully on the homey decor. I had the breakfast croissant and I'm still thinking about it two weeks later - such a great mix of fresh tasting ingredients. Hazelnut latte was perfectly made too, not too sweet or milky. I could've stayed there all morning with a book or journal. This place reaffirms that simple is best.
Absolutely amazing breakfast! They serve ample portions, flavor is spot on and so is the ambience. It’s got a small cafe feel to it. Staff here are friendly. However service is slow for a small place with limited seating!
This place needs some consistency, on many levels the espresso drinks always taste different (sometimes bad) depending on who makes it. Please gather your staffs and inspect whether they all know what they are doing.
Also this place chooses to close whenever they feel like, with no consistency whatsoever.
