Café St Laurent Frappé

Love it for the foosball. The lady behind the bar was AWFUL.just couldn’t be bothered to make eye contact or smile. It seemed everything annoyed her. The man behind the bar was kind and attentive.

First visit in this establishment to play some pool. Very friendly spot. Plus, it's just across the street on St. Laurent from Coco Rico and Schwartz's Smoke Meat!

Fun bar with cheap game tables (bring your loonies) and friendly bilingual people. The drink selection seemed good. This place seems to draw a younger crowd.

I went here to watch a UFC fight, but their streaming connection was so bad that the fight was unwatchable. To make matters worse, whoever was controlling the remote kept trying to fix the problem by changing the channel, which didn't work at all and actually made the situation much worse.

Just an all-around bad experience.

No food and will not give you more than a jar of water. We were a group of 12 having beer. We asked for more water and they said they had already given us one (pitcher) and couldn’t give us more.

Grand bar, plusieurs billards, tv. Pas d'ambiance. Et surtout un service très froid. Serveur qui n'a vraiment pas envie d'être là.

Great place any day of the week! If you love pool they have plenty of tables. Very decent prices for drinks and a good selection of beer on tap. Friendly staff with two floors to choose from each with a different vibe. AND HUGE! Great for groups or even solo. My fav MTL experience!

Awesome bar. It's very large, spread across two floors with a terrace as well. If you see a line outside don't be intimidated because it usually moves along fast enough. Prices are fair. Didn't try the food yet. Plenty of pub games to play from billiards to darts. Service was great as well.

I came here once to see a world cup game on their terrace (Mexico vs Brazil). It wasn't too shabby. I just thought they were a bit lacking in the screens department. On the first floor they have pool tables and a screen above the bar and upstairs they have the mini terrace and about 3 screens indoor.

Service is fast though and their sangria was very strong. I ordered the peach flavour in a pitcher to share.

Cash only and they don't have any food so they let you bring in your own. However they also don't serve that many drink options but don't let you bring in any.

Waiter demanded/insisted on a tip when we just ordered a pitcher from the bar. I don't know if demanding tips is a thing here cause I'm not used to it in Africa.

Mel and Harley are the BEST barmaids here. They SERIOUSLY attend to you and, WOW, are they ever fun! SUNDAY FUNDAY!

Le buncer nous a mis dehors, moi et mon conjoint durant la fête dune amie, car il nous a dit que les medicaments que mon conjoint doit prendre tous les soirs (pour la tyrosinemie) est compté comme un liquide et voulait le vider entièrement dans les toilettes si ne ne partions pas. Manque de jugement en plus de nous manquer de respect, il était têtu et s'est permis de mous dire "toi ferme ta geule" ou encore "ne me touche pas" parce que j'étais selon lui trop proche pour q'uil puisse m'emtendre.après qu'il m'aye attrapé le bras et poussé vers la sortie. Très déçue.

A true dive bar. While the space itself is not too bad (the upstairs has a nice outdoor area) the experience can be quite unusual. Frappe seems to pride itself on letting in minors and drug use in the building is not uncommon. On the upside they do have a number of well maintained pool tables.

Le Café Bar St-Laurent Frappé est un type de bar très Nord-Américain dans ses décors et atmosphères qui certains soirs deviennent endiablés à souhait. Particulièrement l'été.

Situé sur le boulevard Saint-Laurent vers le sud du Plateau Mont-Royal, pour les amateurs de billard, bière, musique, jeux de dards, machines de lotterie et s'il en a encore, quelques plats qui sans être de la grande gastronomie ont de quoi bien accompagner une bonne tablée où le houblon coule, c'est un choix de destination pertinent.

L'ambiance et l'énergie à hauts décibels est souvent d'une belle camaraderie et je crois que les jeunes et les moins jeunes y trouveront chacun leur compte à cet endroit. Il y a beaucoup d'espace sur les deux grande étages du bar ainsi qu'une relativement grande terrasse extérieure fermée sur les côtés latéraux offrant cette option bien appréciée de pouvoir profiter du plein air des quelques beaux mois d'été que le Québec réserve à ses habitants et voyageurs.

Ce n'est pas un établissement «haut de gamme» et c'est très bien comme ça ; trop de clubs du même boulevard sont d'une prétention qui m'est bien désagréables avec leurs files d'attente artificielles et codes vestimentaires non nécessaires.

Les personnes en chaise roulante pourraient éprouver de la difficulté à circuler en ces lieux.

A dive bar with a good vibe. It has some pool tables (for $1 a game) and some snack vending machines (peanuts, cashews, stuff like that). Prices are not bad as beer selection is ok. The staff is quite friendly. Overall a good experience, I would recommend it for a casual night out with friends, to grab some drinks and play a couple of games of pool.

Cheap pool, decent beers, tables are definitely beat up and malfunction a little, but certainly good for a casual night. They also have foosball.

Used to play pool at this place, very nice ambience and good beers. The staff were friendly and very nice. Overall a very cool place on saint Laurent, I liked all the drinks that I tried, the beers, the sangria, I do recommend this place.
