We went to the driving range and I think it was time to move the lines to get fresh grass. If you like to hit off mostly dirt, this place is perfect for you
Went on May 6,2023 and the ground was still very wet. There were a lot of puddles and pools of water in sand traps. Fairly long course with a few par 4s and 5s early on.
Great skiing. The golf club is a historical organization, even before the Confederation of Canada in 1867, as far as I know. The area used to be "bird sanctuary", so many birds can be observed in the golf course as well, cardinals, blue jays, etc.
Low prices. I play this course every week in a boys' league. Friendly staff. It is what it is. Go in with low expectations and you'll be fine. The Bernie dogs are excellent!
Course is ok, course has no respect for the rules. Was 20 mins late to tee off because they let 2 groups show up 30 mins late. Group infront switched to 2 twosomes creating an extra delay. Marshall did nothing about the split up even after calling in twice. I dont ask much.just do your job
Played on Sunday May 29th, 2022, paid $47 which is on the low side for the Ottawa area, so not expecting much. Tee'd off at 8: 22 and no one on the tee since at least 8am and no one after for at least 20 min. I thought this was going to be great playing with no one in front or behind. Then I wondered why on a Sunday morning we were the only ones playing in a prime slot. Then I realized why. Fairways were soggy, puddles in many areas and over-flowed creeks across designated paths. There hasn't been much rain lately and well into summer golf conditions. Plus on some of the fairways it was hard to find grass to hit from. Many of the greens either still have winter kill or are suffering from some grass disease. Balls were jumping around all over the place. As I said, you can't expect much for $47, but at least you should be able to putt on the greens and dry fairways to hit from. If this is the only place with open tee times, then go for it, but there are other better valued golf courses around Ottawa, especially up the valley.
Don't patronize this course. Five-hour rounds on weekends, yahoos driving around in carts with music blaring from their boom boxes, and management that does not encourage juniors. You're not even allowed to bring your son or daughter to caddie to introduce them to the game. This place is run just for the money. For juniors, try Kingsway or Vieux Moulins nearby. Much more welcoming.
This course is terrible, they always cram in groups too close together. Round was supposed to start at 330, didn’t tee off until 3: 50.3-4 groupings on a tee box at a time. We quit after playing 10 holes at 6: 55 as we knew we wouldn’t finish before sunset. This is the case every time I go there. Over 3 hours to play 10 holes, incredible. Save your money and go play somewhere else.
