Château Cartier Hotel & Resort Gatineau - Ottawa

This place is hands down the best stay in a 100 mile radius. The hotel has all you need including an award winning dining experience and a yummy breakfast. The spa next door is fantastic for a recharge and a much needed break from the daily hard work. Highly recommended for all. Even if it's just 1 day, do it you won't regret it.:)

Rooms super big. Hotel is need of renovation. Cost is high for one nite.

It's not Hilton anymore, but still good. Perfect location for city gateway. Free parking, free WI-FI, clean room, good service. Receptionist Aziz was very helpful.

Dated rooms. Elevators were out of service, but no notices were put up on the various floors above the lobby. Walked down 4 stories with two kids, stroller, luggage, etc.to learn the signs were put on the main floor only.

Location is great for golf. Nothing else.

No pool for kids.

Unfortunately not worth it. Quality, service, and overall customer experience needs to improve

Hall magnifique, bâtiment magnifique MAIS les chambres une catastrophe, le ménage fait à moitié, de la poussière et des saletés pour un hôtel vendu 4 étoiles, des taches au plafond de moisissure, un bruit ahurissant à cause de la climatisation extrêmement forte dans le bâtiment.
L’hôtel n’a pas de piscine, il y a cependant un spa qu’on doit payer en supplément, avec une musique forte que nous écoutons toute la journée dès 8h du matin, si vous voulez du calme c’est foutue…
Concernant la réception d’une politesse à couper le souffle évidemment c’est de l’ironie, n’a pas su répondre à nos besoins, attention aux arnaques ils vont vous faire payer double

The staff was very friendly, the food at the Japanese fusion restaurant was amazing, the room was.dated? We stayed in room 317. The housekeeping staff was still in the room when we got there and they finished quickly, so the floors were still wet when we entered the room. The layout was nice, but the place definitely needs renovations. The safe didn't work, the shower door track was very rusty, the window was opened by about 5 inches but there was no handle to close it back. I never called to report it because I didn't want to deal with maintenance in my room, but I mentioned it upon check-out. Other than the substandard room, we enjoyed our stay

I have been training to speak with from desk since 8: 00 am today. Could someone tell what’s happening? Also yesterday my Customer call too and doesn’t work. Omg

Not a family friendly hotel. Adjacent pool is reserved for 18+ years old and is an extra $45/person/day.
HVAC temperature controlled by the front desk and has to be readjusted daily. HVAC in public areas is set to 26C, very hot especially when the air is not moving.
Most of the parking spaces have no lines and when you see them they are very narrow, so people park like idiots. Parking lot is uneven, lots of cracks and bumps, sidewalks have a curb to go over and the elevators have 1-2in offset with the floor you are going on, dangerous to twist your ankle or fall.
Rooms have paper thin doors, you can hear a fly outside your room, imagine someone walking around talking normally. Location is good for golfers, except that traffic stinks to go to Ottawa or Gatineau and it’s not close to anything. On the plus side the pillows are fluffy and beds are hard. Bathroom was more than adequate, lots of pressure from the shower, toilet worked normally and sink/vanity was nice. Bathroom towel are good quality and bright white. The mini refrigerator performed very well, was super cold but never froze our drinks. TVs worked normally and there’s plenty of lights.

Cons-original room wasn't ready when we arrived and we didn't get a soaker tub as requested, TV in sitting area had no remote and wouldn't turn on, ramp sidewalk from parking lot was difficult with my sore hip but discovered an elevator that went to the spa that you can get out to parking level
All in all it was a very relaxing two days and we would definitely be doing this trip again

This is a disgusting hotel that does not match the price.they ruined my mood and my weekend.without warning they ask for money for the pool and spa.the room cost $250: old repairs, dampness and tattered furniture.

I had a huge issue in this location. Spoke to customer service and the manager and they accommodated me extremely fast and professional. Samira at front desk was extremely accommodating. I was angry. You don't want to see me angry. She calmed me down. Handled it with ease. Made sure everything was fixed to my liking. This review is for the manager and samira. Thank you for making it right. Room 408 with val on the night of Friday Jun 2 toward sat Jun 3rd 2023. Thr professionalism was a 10 out of 10.

chambre était glacée et on as pas le contrôle d’ajustement, le matin a 9h j’ai appelé la réception pour la réglé, j’étais choquée par la reponse: on ne peux rien faire madame, l’équipe de maintenance n’est pas encore arrivée et me rappelle que je devrai faire le checkout a midi (comme si elle me dit si vous n’aimez pas vous pouvez quitter dès maintenant) sans parler du petit dej qui est censé être inclut.tu dois revenir à la reception pour avoir un coupon (ça devrait être donné à l’arrivée) tu as le droit de boire que le café noir si non il faut payer des suppléments.pour a la fin avoir des repas unmanageable.bref expérience à ne pas refaire, et l’hôtel ne mérite meme pas 3 étoiles! C’est dommage pour un château si beau de l’extérieur!

We booked the king suite. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. Kato, the restaurant in the hotel is a 10/10!

Check-in was prompt, Sarah served us and she was great. Even helped us add the spa package, which was $44/pp extra. This allowed us to use the spa the evening of check-in until check-out at noon. Great value!

I had made a booking error and when I called in, Youssef helped me correct the issue.

Location is great if there’s no construction on the bridge. If you’re trying to cross into Ontario, it is a little slow.

Otherwise, great service, accommodation, and location! The spa was a bonus!

Look at other reviews. Lots of 1-2-3 stars! Did not meet our expectations! Room dirty, dusty, outdated and in bad condition with wobly table. Way to expensive for what you get. Felt robbed, felt like asking for my money back. We do not recommend and will not return! We spent 400$ for one night and had better experience at 100$/night at other hotels. (before coming we really wanted to give a good review, we like giving good reviews, our mistake was not looking at other reviews before reserving a room)

Jusqu'à maintenant, c'est l'hôtel le plus malpropre qu'on est vu. Après 3 chambres on a pris la moins sale. Et elle est encore très sale. Comme est-ce possible en 2023. La préposée qui se fond en excuses et qui se propose à faire le ménage elle même. Nous ne mettons aucune étoile pour la chambre car c'est inacceptable. Le prix est beaucoup trop cher pour un hôtel qui au final vaut 1 étoile et non 4.1ere expérience, dernière expérience.
