Château Ste-Agnès

Ont étaient 9 personnes a vouloir venir découvrir la "portion" vignoble. Belle endroit mais devoir payer 15$/pers juste pour entrer sur le site. Désolé mais je viens ici pour déguster et découvrir leurs vins, ça nous incite pas à vouloir venir!
Payer 15$/pers "de droit d'entrer" pour découvrir leur gamme de vin? Non Merci
On va passe notre tour pour ici et aller découvrir d'autre vignobles à Sutton

Seul le site est magnifique. Pour le reste je donne zero étoiles car ils nous font payer 15$ l’entrée + 15$ pour la dégustation de vins avant taxes. Si leur vins étaient bons ça pourrait justifier les prix, mais Leurs vins sont vraiment inbuvables, acides avec un soupçon de saveur de vin cuit qui a tourné. Prix des bouteilles est exorbitant, une vraie arnaque!

Very peacfull place full of blessings, tastes and european antiquity briefed in the owner attitude. Highly recommended for ceremonies and wine tour and tasting.

An absolutely beautiful estate! We stumbled upon it while visiting the area and are so glad we did. We bought a bottle of the white wine and it was good. Mineraly and best enjoyed slightly warm. They had no issue with us bringing our dog on the terrace, which was a bonus! We got there at 1PM
To find out all of the snack boxes were reserved for the day, but they did have crackers available. Definitely recommend stopping if you are in the area!

Instead of an entry fee it would be interesting if the winery waived the fee if you spent a certain amount in their boutique (I.e spend $50 and you don’t have to pay the entry fee or something)

Beautiful location, this was our second time visiting, but it was disappointing to be received by the worst customer service by an older woman very defensive and rude. It kind of stained the experience that could have been beautiful, not the kind of service we would expect by driving for 2 hours and spending 200 dlls in their boutique, only to get snacks and still be hungry, you can still get that they still are very disorganized even after couple of years that they opened.

Très belle place avec des vues magnifiques. On a choisi pour notre visite l’expérience signature pour mieux apprendre sur l’histoire du château. Un peu déçu a vrai dire. La dégustation est médiocre et on a rien vu sur la préparation du vin. Il faut certainement enrichir l’expérience pour le prix élevé qu’on a payé. Alors, je vous conseille plutôt l’entrée simple pour des photos et pas plus. Le vin est très très moyen. Pour terminer sur une bonne note, l’environnement autour est agréable pour passer la matinée. The most stunning winery I've ever been to! Absolutely beautiful views, the friendliest staff, and an incredible tour & tasting. Such a dreamy place & must-do stop for anyone in the area! We drove from Montreal & will definitely be coming back.

An hour and half drive from Montreal, in Sutton. There is a magical vineyard. We took the signature experience package, which included a guided tour where our wonderful guide Diane tells us the birth story of Chateau Ste-Agnes! We enjoyed the wine tasting in the cellar. Each wine had its own qualities and flavors. Post tour, we enjoyed a lovely picnic by the lake. Our picnic prepped by A la Table By Hannah. Box was of full of amazing goodies with various cheeses, crackers, jams, dry and fresh fruits and charcuterie, plus delicious wine by the vineyard. The place is breathtaking. It was a lovely day trip and romantic gateway.

Me and my family traveled from Ontario and visited Château Ste-Agnès in August and October 2022 and were amazed by this unique place. It is a boutique winery with a fairytale castle and a chapel in a really stunning location surrounded by mountains. We did the tasting of the 4 wines (all were good) and had a guided tour with very knowledgeable staff. It is well worth the fees as you learn a lot about the local wines and get so much info about this place. It feels like you are somewhere in Europe and not in North America. I would gladly visit again and highly recommend it to others. It is a jewel in the beautiful Eastern Townships area and cannot be missed. Big Thank You for an awesome experience. L’endroit rêvé pour remercier ses dames d’honneur pour leur contribution extraordinaire. Nous avons été accueillis comme des reines. Nous nous sommes sentie chez soi, avons vécu une expérience complète de dégustation, jusqu’au coucher dans la merveilleuse suite qui a un immense cachet. Merci aux chaleureux propriétaires et au guide des plus captivant, de nous avoir permis de nous couper du monde un instant et de célébrer cette belle amitié avec bonheur et fantaisie.

A million dollar view especially in the fall season.impressive.we had a wine tasting, the owner lifted and rested his left leg up on the chair on my right which is very uncomfortable to see while he was explaining about the wines.
Im not sure if the wines are just too young, 2021 mostly or they are just not good.all 4 of them. Unimpressed.

On arrive devant, 15$ pour entrée et 15$ pour une dégustation. Depuis quand on fait payer l’entrée?
On m’a signalé que les nouveaux propriétaires (avocat…) étaient vénal, ça semble vrai.

Amazing experience at Château Ste-Agnès. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, the dinner & the wine tasting were exceptional, the service was topnotch, and the atmosphere was comfortable & relaxing. The vineyard as well as the road leading to the Chateau had great scenery and was very picturesque, especially in the colorful Fall season. Excellent experience all around.

Ma sœur et moi avons passées un très bel après-midi de la visite guidée par Diane. L'histoire de la Chapelle est magnifique. Et aussi profiter du forfait dégustation par un picnic profitant d'une belle journée d'automne. C'est vraiment magique et très beau cet endroit. C'est un bel hommage du Rêve de Mme Henrietta Antony, qui a fait construire ce site EXCEPTIONNEL.

As soon as you turn into the parking lot of Chateau Ste Agnes off the country roads, you immediately feel transported from Sutton to a European winery. Every detail is intentional, but it feels completely effortless. Beautiful views, great wine and superb staff.

It should be noted that this winery is under new management since Spring 2022, and they now offer a variety of stellar experiences: From cellar tours, to tastings, to simply buying a picnic box in their boutique and setting yourself up in the vineyard to enjoy the day.

y retournerons assurément!

L’ambiance est chaleureuse, sophistiquée, avec une vue sur les montagnes.

Il s’agit d’im vignoble remplie d’histoire!

Très inspirant comme séjour (nous avons eu la chance de dormir dans une des suites).

Difficile d’espérer mieux!

Pricey and disappointing: the whole property (of which only the chapel and the so called “castle” can be visited) has antiques pieces, collected from all over Europe (they say) in the 90s and put together with no logic nor taste (architects would get white hair!). The main room is pretty empty. The famous room where Adele filmed her last movie “Easy on me” has a wallpaper on the ceiling with a very bad resolution (you can actually spot the pixels). The wine chamber was a small corner in the “castle”, with molded grapes on plastic trays, being dried by domestic fans sitting on the floor. Ridiculous if they think people believe they produce their wine there. The ice wine doesn’t even have the right to be called like that because it doesn’t respect all the regulations. The wine itself is not exceptional and also pricey. This place is very well advertised, but not worth it the drive and the money. Also needs a lot of cleaning and renovations. They seem to be a young couple who bought the property, but clearly they have no idea of what hospitality business is.
We spent 90$ each for the signature experience, which included the pic-nic box, the guided tour and a few small glasses of wine. The pic-nic box was made of tiny containers with nuts, dried cranberries, tiny pieces of cheese and crackers. We also spent 75$ for our 10 years old daughter (without wine of course). They charged us for water and chips extra and we had to stop on our way back home to eat something after the tour.
The view is beautiful though, but you can get the same scenic panorama anywhere in that area, for free.
There is another building in the property, that is not part of the tour, which can be rented for 1000$ per night (8-10ppl).
The lady who guided us through the property is related to the old owners and highlighted the fact that only people with a “certain budget” can celebrate their wedding there.
I understand the new owners had just started their business, but there is a long way to go there.

This place was a surprise today. The building is very beautiful. I like the drinking platform with the view across the valley. The front desk is very friendly, will come again.

Gorgeous setting overlooking mountains and vines. Wonderful tasting of 4 diverse wines, from white to rosé to red fortified wine.

Experience incroyable, vaut le détour. La vue es a couper le souffle, le service es super bon autant comme le vin!

Je met que un étoile vue le prix exorbitant pour aller sur le terrain, 17,25 $ sa aucun sense, fois deux personne 34,50$, oui c’est jolie et beau, mais la nature a côté de cette place est aussi belle. Au moins si on n’aurais eu le droit à des dégustations pour se prix. Bref si se vin se vend à la saq, je ne vais pas les encourager, il retire asser d’argent a six gens comme sa, c’est vraiment exagéré et ridicule… mais comme je vous dit c’est très beau, mais y’a d’autre place gratuite aussi beau à aller visité dans le coin

Très endroit, magnifique pour l'oeil mais très décevant pour les papilles gustatives. Les viens sont très ordinaire et ne correspondent pas avec les prix.

The views of the beautiful mountains were so worth it! I went to Château Ste-Agnes with 5 other foodie friends for an experience like no other and we were not disappointed! Chef Isabel created a multi course meal served family style, emphasizing local and sustainable ingredients only - what more can you ask? Paired perfectly alongside wines from the estate (which are also available onsite), this venue provides guests everything they need in one perfect spot: great service & tasty food coupled together as if made just right.

Magnifique domaine. La visite guidée est vraiment très chouette, à faire absolument. La dégustation est un incontournable et les sont délicieux. J'ai aussi pris le pique nique sur place, par une belle journée c'est divin. Le service et l'accueil sont impeccables. Notre guide Robert a été génial! Arrêtez vous ici, l'histoire, l'architecture, les vins, les propriétaires, un magnifique moment garanti. Coup de coeur!

L’endroit est magnifique. Le vignoble a une riche histoire et l’architecture tchèque vaut le détour. Par contre vous payez 50$ juste pour une visite de 1h, qui n’inclut ni nourriture ni alcool. Le prix est trop élevé selon moi.

Lorsque nous sommes allés c’était fermé alors qu’il était indiqué sur internet, que c’était ouvert. Toutefois, le propriétaire a eu la gentillesse de nous offrir une visite guidée privée, malgré tout. Nous avons eu accès à une foule d’informations sur l’histoire de ce domaine, les motivations de l’ancienne propriétaire, etc. Nous avons pu également goûter un excellent vin de glace. L’endroit est magnifique. C’est à ne pas manquer.
Le domaine a de nouveaux propriétaires depuis peu. Ils en sont à revoir les produits qu’ils pourront offrir. J’espère qu’un site internet verra le jour prochainement afin de pouvoir en commander.

Went to visit the vineyard and unless you pay out $50 per person, you will not be able to stay on the grounds. This is a first for us especially that they are open to the public with no mention of this stipulation. They don’t want you to take pictures and keep saying that it’s a private business. So why are you open and have the open banner hanging from your property so those driving by can see it and drive in? In any case I will never go back nor intend to buy anything that eventually might be produced by them. We visited other vineyards and we were not treated this way. Chasing people off your property because you don’t want them to take a picture is not the best way to get them to come back.

This is to the owners who answered myrenview and insinuated that we were infringing on them. How dare you! We did not infringe on your property, the gates are open and a nice big flag saying « ouvert » is hanging by the gate. You want people to drop in ut then hit them with the $50 fee talk. Had your prices been reasonable like other vineyards we would have visited. But when we stopped to take a picture on the way out, YULi all know that one of you came barreling up the hill with your golf cart to tell us to leave. So don’t lie and say that we can take pictures because you made sure to make us feel unwelcome and pressured to leave. Be up front and honest. And if it’s a private domain as you keep pointing out, then maybe you shouldn’t be advertising as being open but rather ask that appointments be taken and that it will cost everyone $50 per person. Collect the money before they arrive and then no unwanted visitors will appear. And no aggression came from us…the muscles being flexed was on your end.

One of a kind place! Decided to stop by on a whim after driving by and this place did not disappoint - the owners were so passionate and shared an in depth explanation about the wineries history and showed us all the amazing antiques throughout. Really had a great time and have never experienced anything like it. Thank you for the great experience!

This is not a wine tasting, it’s more of a tour with one sample of wine for 50$. Very overpriced. The place is beautiful and the tour guide is full of heart and soul about the place but the owner shouldn’t interact with the guests. We didn’t feel welcomed every time he was around.

This place doesn't have the license to sell alcohol right now. So you are paying $50 for a tour but you don't get to buy or drink wine besides the one glass that comes with the tour.
