Chateau Versailles Hotel

The room had one tile in the bathroom loose, the shower head had a leak, the bed sheet set had a hold. The situation with the parking is horrible. The hotel doesn’t have a front desk help after 11 pm, if you need assistance you need to go across the street to another hotel or dial 0 on your room phone. I think the across the street hotel are related to this one. $38 daily for valet parking. The city have everything in French and the people there don’t like tourists. The service people are polite sometimes but you can see on their faces that you are not welcome. You need to be ready to find a complete city under construction. Every block have a construction, the traffic is horrendous and you have to pay for parking. On the street they have different hours depends the street and the parking garage start $15 for 20 min up to $35 the day. This hotel is in the downtown area but the really historic and attractive place is at the Old Downtown Montreal that it is 40 min walking. The surrounding area are derty, garbage tank and homeless everywhere. Really disenchanted with Montreal.

FIVE STAR for their professional and caring service. Their front desk is very helpful and caring. But they may want to clean their ventilation duct. There was a scary bug falling into the bathtub when I attempted to take a shower… But overall this is a pleasant experience!

Less than 5 minutes walk to metro. Lots of nice food options I'm a walking distance. Hotel provide some decent breakfast

I can only advise about the process that lead up to cancelling my reservation….
My wife and I found this hotel had a shuttle from the airport and found it was close to the area we wanted to be. I noted our flight number and arrival under the special requests area and indicated that we would like to use the airport shuttle. I received an email reply saying that they accept the reservation and that my special request can be accommodated. A day later I received another message that they are short staffed and that check-in is across the street and that there is no porter service. Two days after booking, I received a third email stating that they could not provide shuttle service. I figured that maybe the short staffing problem extended to this service as well, so I asked about taxi service compensation but my suggestion was declined. I cancelled the reservation in case I was asked to bring my own towels and bedsheets!
Customer service is ranked as 1/5.

This is a beautiful, charming hotel in a historic building. The hotel is close to the metro, as well as within walking distance to many restaurants. We used the valet service and took public transit or ealked everywhere.
The staff is so friendly and helpful, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Do not stay in this hotel! Old and bad. The room is actually in the basement, it's terrible, cold and damp. The socket is broken, it can't be charged, the sound of the sewer upstairs can be heard clearly in the basement, I can't sleep at all！

Great place! But the parking situation is not good. The web site we booked on said PARKING ON SITE! We get there. We were told we have to park at a college 1/2 mile down the way. Was not happy about that. When I look for hotels I look for SAFE AND ON SITE PARKING. THIS WASN'T IT. I Would definitely go back to Montreal but NOT THIS HOTEL!

Charming old hotel with a lot of character. The rooms are spacious and the beds were nice. The two main downsides are that there is very little insulation between rooms so the noise carries and there isn't an easy work around for the stairs to access the facility. The staff is wonderful. Breakfast was decent with the croissants better than you'd get at many other hotels. For the price and the location, I'd definitely recommend this one.

Rooms are terribly outdated, the pillows were so lumpy and the room so warm it was impossible to sleep. The staff were very lovely. Location is good. Breakfast was subpar.

Très bel hôtel aménagé dans des maisons d'époque, grandes chambres bien aménagée, très confortables, belle décoration, salle de bain moderne, excellent service.

Mal insonorisé, une odeur désagréable, pas eu la chambre réservée, pas de petit frigo. Bref un endroit pas cher mais qui ne redonne pas l’envie d’y retourner

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart on Montreal culture. Walk to Metro, art gallery, McGill University, terrific restaurants. Professional staff and old-world kindly service. Room was spacious with a bar fridge and large desk. Internet is free and good. Included Breakfast is generous Continental style buffet. Great for a business visit, they treat you well. They can arrange parking, but you really don’t need a car here. Very walkable and public transit is good.

The heat didn't seem to work all that well, was a bit of a chilly night. Other than that, the service and the rest of my stay was pleasant

J’ai eu un accident lors de mon séjour à l’hôtel. Grosse commotion célébrale en trébuchant dans le tapis rouge et déboulant les marches des escaliers extérieurs. On m’a répondu qu’on me contacterait et je n’ai jamais reçu d’appels ou simplement d’excuse de leur part. J’ai du me rendre en ambulance aux services d’urgence, points de suture et plus de 2 mois de séquelles et manque de travail. Donc on gros zéro!
