I tried their half-and-half noodle (no. 3) to sample both types, but it unfortunately didn't meet expectations. It seemed they aimed for a healthier version compared to Korean Chinese restaurants in Korea. The black bean noodle was less sugary, and the spicy seafood noodle had fewer chili oils.

Whether it was an average day or not, the noodle portion was surprisingly small for its cost; the black bean noodle barely had onions, and only one tiny pork piece was included.

It's unfortunate that Montreal lacks a standout Korean Chinese restaurant.

Interesting place to try some traditional style Korean food!

The weak point of this restaurant was actually some of the food. It was very disappointing and unappetizing. However, some meat dishes looked great! Dietary restrictions were not their strength.

The freshness didn’t stand out to me either in the side dishes or the main dish I tried, Japchae Bab. I did appreciate them making the dish with tofu as there were only 2 options for vegetarians to eat, off the menu.

Although some dishes were made as soon as the order went in, there were a few that sat and cooked all day long.

Some of the food that could be easily altered to suit guests, couldn’t be remade due to using the same big stew they cook all-day long; Particularly, the kimchi stew which can be made fresh in 5-10 mins and is not normally a stew that sits ‘all-day long’.

It was unclear, why did they not decide to cook all the food fresh?

Not only would fresh dishes ensure the quality and taste, it would elevate their restaurant.

Fresh food would make dealing with any dietary restrictions easier. Having flexibility with their guests is important for any food establishment, and it was unfortunate I didn’t see that this time.

The atmosphere reminded me of a seniors home - The decor seemed outdated with no particular theme connecting to the restaurant. I could see some elements of Korean culture but it was in the background rather than the foreground representing what type of restaurant it was.

The highlight, was definitely the staff as they were absolutely exceptional! They easily explained the menu and helped with any concerns I had with the food.

Overall, it was so-so. I think fresh food would bring more traffic to the place along with revamping the decor.

I visited on Sunday, October 8th. My original plan was to eat French food, but I visited from Quebec the day before and wanted to eat Korean food, so I went there in a hurry. Surprisingly, there are many Korean restaurants in Montreal that are closed on Sundays, so I went here, and it was more delicious than I expected. My family and I ate jjambbong rice, kimchi fried rice, and stone pot bibimbap and were completely satisfied. I want to stop by again when I go to Montreal.

We were in Montreal to help our son moving to start college. We stumbled upon this gem, since it’s very close to Concordia campus. We ended up coming back 2 more times! All the wait staff are super nice and attentive, food is very good, and place has homely vibe. We would love to go back when we visit Montreal again

The atmosphere of the restaurant is basically rather dark. (I thought it wasn't open)
I ordered jjamjjamyeon, but I added too much pork fat when cooking, so the food smelled bad. Even in jjambbong, the unpleasant artificial taste did not go well with the spicy taste, and the noodles were not fully cooked. When the chef asked if I enjoyed my meal, I was worried about how much I should be honest. That's why I left half.

Thank you for being able to eat this level of jajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork in Canada.
Since it's Canada, I visited with some expectations, but I ate more deliciously than I expected.
It was a satisfying meal in terms of taste, quantity and friendliness.
I will go again to try other menus~

Une belle soirée après avoir commandé du bulgogi et le pajeon fruit de mer. Tout était bon et copieux. Le pajeon probablement un des meilleurs à la fois moelleux et croustillant sur le dessus en plus d'être servi de façon généreuse. Le bulgogi très bon une valeur sûre accompagné d'une portion de riz et l'ensemble de la table agrémentée de petits accompagnements frais et goûteux: kimchi, patates sucrées, radis. On a même eu droit à un refill. Service agréable et efficace. Si vous cherchez de l'ambiance c'est juste plus calme que les autres coréens alentours. Merci je reviendrai

Everything was DELICIOUS! Would go again just to try all the different offerings. A great number and variety of dishes with lots of flavor. More that the Korean restaurants that I have visited.

Service was great! Place was clean! But this has to be the most tasteless Korean fried chicken I ever had. Many of the great korean fried chickens are usually marinated beforehand and you can taste the depth of flavour along with the sauce when you bite into the meat. But here? You only taste the sauce and the chicken is as if it wasn’t salted at all. Just bland. The sauce was also on the bland side and had way too much thickening. I do not recommend anyone getting the chicken here.

Very good Korean homey type of food. Great quantity and quality. The staff is friendly and the service was super quick, albeit it was a calm place. It was a nice place to catch up with group fo friends on a Saturday night. Would 100% recommend and would come back.

I ordered from here during covid literally ALLLLLL the time and it was always super consistent - the staff is incredibly attentive and very very sweet.

The bibimbap is my go-to! <3

Très bon jajangmyeon et la serveuse très à l'écoute. Les prix sont très corrects comparés à d'autres restaurants coréens de la ville!

We got the bulgogi, Japchae, and fried rice. All were impressive and we all loved them. The food and service were great. The chef is amazing!

This restaurant is an absolute hidden gem, tucked away on a side street off Saint-Catherine. The inside is quite elegant. The staff was incredibly prompt yet calm and polite. I couldn't believe the prices when I read the menu. We both had a bowl of beef Bimimbop, I ordered Ttoekbokki (tsing tsao beer), and she ordered a bowl of pork soondubu jjigae. The quality greatly exceeded the costs. It's been a long time since I've felt that full and happy. Highly recommended.

Got the set menu including tangsuyuk, jajangmyeon and the jjamppong for 50$. Really enjoyed both noodle dishes but felt like they could have given more noodles. The tangsuyuk was good but a bit under salted and the sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking. Would come back again when craving Chinese Korean food!

Very good place, ordered the Japchae and half half chicken. The chicken that didn't have the spicy souce tasted old and tasted like nothing but the other half was delicious.

I loved the food, we ordered the bibimbap, tteokbokki, and the pajeon.
The service was great also

I enjoyed the black bean sauce noodles which had really good texture. The fried pork with sweet and sour sauce is a bit too sweet to my taste, the pork was fried nicely though.
