Tebokki for take out, it takes us 5 minutes in microwave to heat it up. Everything is cold even we put the soup inside, the noodle and fish cake is not ready to eat right away. No clear instructions given when we got food on hand. Restaurant should instruct customers otherwise it's unbelievable to receive food like this.

P/s: waiting time 25-30 minutes, i came inside and ask for orders, staff should pay attention to customers more.

Rarely do I give out 5 stars but this place is amazing. The food was delicious, incredibly generous portions and the place is very cozy! Definitely coming back soon!

Their chicken is very delicious; however, they need to improve the takeout packaging. Every time I order takeout, the sauce spills out, creating quite a mess.

We were late to our reservation, but the staff accommodated us and held our table, setting a friendly tone for the evening. Our server expertly guided us through popular dishes, including the flavorful Truffle Boneless Fried Chicken and the Korean army stew.

Diving into our chosen dishes, the Korean Army Stew emerged as a standout, its rich flavors elevated further when opting for ramen over rice. The addition of a portable gas stove maintained the stew’s warmth throughout the meal, adding a pleasant dining experience. The Truffle Boneless Fried Chicken, though had great flavours, faced a slight setback with a thick batter, resulting in a drier texture. But dipping the chicken into the flavorsome stew, helped with the texture. Note to fellow diners: selecting the drumstick option might not be as dry.

The ambiance, casual yet vibrant, welcomed a mix of locals and university students, creating a lively backdrop to our dining experience. The pricing structure was fair, offering value for money with portions that left us pleasantly satiated.

In terms of service, it seemed like they were understaffed, which led to some delays in water refill etc.but a small drawback on an overall warm ambiance and the staff’s accommodating nature.

For those navigating transportation, finding parking can be challenging, so the metro is recommended.

In conclusion, Chimaek Gana provides an enticing combination of friendly service, fair pricing, and flavorful dishes, making it a a good spot for Korean fried chicken enthusiasts in Montreal.

They told me that the waiting time is about 25min. I register my name on waiting list and left. But never get called. Returned after 1hour waiting. I found there are empty tables, so basically they forgot me, and they didn’t apologize. Feel disappointed. The food is ok but not worth all the waiting time. There are other Korean resto around.

I would give it a 4.5 stars. Huge quantities for the price. Ideally, you would want to reserve in advance as there is a lineup if you’re a walk-in. We were two and it was our first time so we wanted to try as much as we can, but i recommend taking only an appetizer and an order of chicken.

We had the Korean Army Soup, the Padak and the Yangnyeom Chicken. As you can see, the portions are huge. Our favourite was the Padak, the sauce was not too overwhelming and the green onions complimented the chicken really well. The Yangnyoem was a little too sweet for our liking, it tasted like a dessert but some might like it. The soup was great and it had a lot of meat and vegetables.

The restaurant at night has a nice and chill vibe with K-Pop playing in the back and some nice blue and purple lights. It’s a place that you should come if you’re at least 4, so you can enjoy as many dishes as possible. The service is also pretty nice, no complaints there.

Came with a friend for dinner on a Tuesday and the place was packed. They put us on a virtual waiting list that texted a few minutes before our turn. The wait was approximately 45 minutes which was absolutely bonkers for a Tuesday night.

The service was cold but at least it was attentive. The waiting staff had no interest in smiling or exchanging pleasantries.

We ordered the onion rings, sweet potato fries and one of the sauced fried chickens. The Onion rings were below average, akin to what you might get at a fast food restaurant. The sweet potato fries were good, but again nothing to rave about. The chicken was fried really well, but the sauce was waaay too sweet. I actually didn't like it. Maybe I would like it more with a different sauce, but I was off put by the one we had.

Overall the experience was just ok. I'd be inclined to try it again but I'm not really up to waiting that long. There are great Korean fried chicken places around without needed to be subject to just a long line up.

The portion sizes are great for the price although they didn’t put enough powder on the chicken even though it’s called “baby powder” which left half of the chicken plain. For the sauce of the Yangnyeom chicken it tasted like cinnamon which was disappointing. The gamjatang had way to much cabbage at this point just make an entire mountain of it. The meat wasn’t tender enough so I don’t recommend getting it. The atmosphere was great and loved how spacious it was. If you come here I recommend to get the baby powder fried chicken. It would be great if they made a plate with all of the different flavours so I know which one I would like to get next time.

Very large portions that are great for sharing, avoid over ordering like us, or enjoy the leftovers

We were a group of 11pax, but staff were able to accommodate us. Korean chicken were the best! The angel sauce was superb.

Happy to be back! Expect 50$ pax for 2 plates and beer in pint. Very helpful and thoughtful staff and well seasoned chicken, best in town!

True also it will be better with more coating. We were offered the side pickles this time.

Nous avons trouvé la nourriture excellente et savoureuse. Quel délice en bouche. Finalement nous n'avons rien regretté de ce repas. À visiter sur vôtre liste, un incontournable.

Nice atmosphere and service. Waiters are attentive and helpful. The fried chicken is really good and is a good portion for its price. The sides such as fries are pretty basic but it's a good portion. The spicy soup is pretty spicy so beware. Definitely recommend going there. I would suggest reserving online if you plan to go. Also note that the tables are for two hours.

Favorite Korean chicken in Montreal. The flavours are so good especially the onion chicken
